Love Dr Seneca. She s been giving me injections in my knees (for arthritis) for a couple years now and I ve never had one that hurt, and they ve blocked the pain in my knees really well. She ll explain what she s doing and why, may give you recommendations, but doesn t push you to have any other procedure done unless you ask about it, and then may or may not recommend it. She ll tell you how it is!

Dr. Sharma is a very good dr. But seeing him 1 1/2 hours after my scheduled appt. Is ridiculous. If I showed up 1 1/2 hours late they would not see me. It's very disrespectful. My time is also valuable. What is the point of an appt?

Very friendly staff, professional. Dr.Herrin answered all my questions, very thorough. I didn't feel rushed by any of the team!

Dr. Senica was very helpful and explained my x-rays. She was thorough and helped me understand what was going on and not in a rushed way.

Dr. Barry Mulshine, and his staff, provided exemplary care for my needs. I came in, broken in spirit, with my knees hurting tremendously, and Dr. Barry Mulshine examined my condition, giving me relief with a cortisone shot to each knee.

The bad : Unfriendly check in staff at front door. Super unfriendly surgeon office staff on the phone, lil better in person. Ridiculous wait times and unfortuanetely this is where most of your time is spent. Waste of time appts. and copay after surgery. Especially when you think your going to see your surgeon and its the PA instead and your past your 90 day copay free post surgery time period because they couldnt get you in. So make sure your seeing the surgeon when you make an appt. Seems very dishonest especially when its your last appt and you need your actual surgeon to answer your questions.
It wasnt the surgeons fault for not being there either. Appt desk should tell you.
Watch your bill for BS charges. Was taken care of though.
The good: Surgery staff is awesome as well as PT.

Dr. Maender, and his staff did an exceptional job of repairing my shoulder! Had full rotar cuff surgery and bicep repair from a fall!! When the other doctor passed on me he and his staff stepped up and did the job! I absolutely recommend him for any and all repair of your extremities!! He is a class act and made me feel like a whole and complete person again and I can't repay him and them enough!!! 10 stars of u could! Thank u doc!

I have always had a good experience with OCI. The Doctors are very Professional and courteous when dealing with my concerns.

I enjoyed talking with Dr. Graves and his resident. They listened and were concerned to what I was implying what i was feeling. I appreciated their expertise and candor.

Dr. Sharma was wonderful. He was very thorough and kind. I never got the impression that he had other things to tend to. When he was with us he made us feel comfortable. He was genuinely concerned and sincere about diagnosing our problem.

Ate staff and doctors were both caring and helpful in giving me the care I needed to get back into normal everyday living.

This was my 1st visit with Dr. Graves and I found him to be genuinely concerned and proactive with the issue at hand.

Dr. Church has helped me for years. He listen as to you and figures out what is going on. He gets to the bottom of the problem.

Went through multiple doctors, a couple different hospitals, and several different answers about a pain from a car accident that i was being told was a "phantom cramp" or anything else that made it sound more like a mental problem. I showed up at this Orthopedic Center and wait pushed ahead several months of a wait to been seen due to my pain severity i was telling the doctor. Scheduled an MRI, had a follow up and a Dr Williams instantly pointed out the problem of 2 herniated discs hurting my nerves keeping me from full mobility in my leg and numbness in my legs and feet. Impairing me completely with the left leg. Waiting for my first Epidural Injection in my back, but im glad that someone finally saw my pain and accurately located it exactly where i told them it was! VERY SATISFIED (first ever real review and glad i saved it for this one) back problems are NO joke!

I ve been here 3 times in the last 2 months, and my appointment has been at least an hour late each time

The staff walking in was very welcoming! I have currently walked into places taking temps and the person seems bothered that I walked in and they have to take my temp, NOT here at all! The lady taking temps was so nice! They were very quick to get us in, my daughter is 13 she was actually the patient seeing Dr. Graves. All staff made us feel comfortable with all the covid and precautions things can get over whelming and confusing especially for a teenager already nervous and scared. The staff made it beyond comfortable! As far as Dr. Graves I can not recommend him enough! My daughter was so so scared going in she was talking very quiet (she is not a quiet person at all!!) but Dr. Graves made her feel very very comfortable, she also is a bit nervous around male doctors being she is 13 but once he came in and just sat and talked with her she was ok. As far as diagnosis he explained everything and I mean everything he also made me feel very comfortable as well, explaining everything. I am a mother who tends to worry A LOT he made sure we knew some of the things are a possibility but n thing to worry about. I could keep going but I m sure who ever is reading gets it by now I truly do think Orthopedic Center Of Illinois is truly amazing! Dr. Graves is a great doctor and sometimes that is hard to find... especially a doctor who is personable! I recommend 110%!!

Doctor Idusuyi was wonderful. Very personable and informative. I m 55 and just broke my first bone...my hand...so I m pretty bummed. He explained the process and made me feel better. I d definitely recommend him.

Dr. Sharma, MD and his team were very pleasing.The staff made me aware of everything that was going to take place in the operating room. Thank you all for keeping me safe and caring for me.

My recent visit to the Orthopedic Center in Springfield was very good. Registration staff were polite, helpful and responsive in getting me prepared for my visit. Dr. Seneca s nursing associates were professional and efficient. My visit with Dr. Senica was through and complete. She examined, asked questions, proposed treatment options and answered all my questions. I was completely satisfied after my treatment and visit.

I have had two surgeries by Dr. Meander, a reverse shoulder replacement and left thumb CMC arthroplasty. In my opinion Dr. Meander is an excellent surgeon and truly cares about his patients. He and his staff are always friendly and helpful.

My appointment was a "Consult" for a problem I've been having for several months.
Dr. Graves was awesome. He took the time to research my files and share his findings at great length. He can't help me but he made suggestions and offered to assist me in any way.

I have known Dr. Romanelli since he was a resident at SIU-SM/Springfield; he trained under the best, period ~ and, he was respected and trusted by them. Of course, he is certainly a most excellent orthopaedic surgeon, but, besides that (which is what we all want), he is simply a good, caring, thoughtful, personable gentleman with the best bedside manner, empathic perspective, and realistic approach. He has performed two successful joint replacements for me, and I'm just grateful I have been able to have his care. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

The nursing staff was very helpful and kind. Made sure that I understood what was happening and what to expect. Dr. Bender spoke to me not at me, was very thorough in my checkup, and explained things to me about the x-ray and catscan to be taken. I was very satisfied with the way I was treated at the Orthopedic Center of Illinois.

Dr Graves listens, reviews tests and presents options in a personal and professional manner.

Not pleased with third visit to Dr Sharma for hip pain. Appointment was Christmas Eve so waited 55 minutes in the waiting room. Saw doctor about 10 minutes total but you could tell he wanted to be out of there. Really not helping with the pain so he referred me to another doctor to check out back.

wonderful Dr.'s always on time for my scheduled appointment, they do not keep you waiting, have seen the Dr for 2 different problems, both of the issues have been diagnosed quickly and was given ALL options for treatment. Never once did they push for surgery it has been offered and I have been kept informed of my options each visit. Everyone I have come into contact with has been helpful and professional!

Dr. Maender, as always, was very attentive and listened to me and made me feel like I was a part of the process and not just told what was wrong.

Worst place ever, non empathetic of people with true pain, money driven, customer service sucks, took 3 weeks to call me back after I called 4 times.

I saw 2 doctors here and felt they both listened to my issues. I would recommend them to anyone

If you need an orthopedic surgeon who listens and solves long term issues, then Dr Graves is the physician to see. He is a caring doctor whose first inclination is not surgery, but delving deep to make sure he really can help. Only when he is convinced he can operate and help the patient, will he go through the necessary steps in order to perform surgery. He listens and he cares. We highly recommend Dr Graves.

Dr. Van Fleet is the most sincere competent Drs I have ever had

Dr. Meander is a excellent dr. He cares about his patients and it shows. He gives me shots in the shoulder and I dont feel them at all. He wants to help you feel better. Wouldn't go anywhere else. I would highly recommend him.

Dr Bender was my pain dr a number of years ago. He relocated and we parted ways. He was the best Dr of the 5, by far, that helped me with my back pain. I m really having issues again so I sought out the best. I drive 3 hrs 1 way to see him.
Fantastic attitude and amazing skill. Top shelf in his field as far as I m concerned.

I am a recent patient of Dr. Varun Sharma and just underwent surgery with him for multiple severe injuries to both my knees. My recovery has been swift and I feel this is in part to all the information Dr. Sharma equipped me with in regards to what I should expect from my body after surgery.
Both Dr. Sharma and his nursing support have been extremely helpful and diligent with care and concern throughout the entire process from pre-care to aftercare and I have always felt listened to . I'm very pleased with the results of the procedure that I had done. My legs are already feeling less painful and I'm more mobile.

Our 10 yr old son broke both bones in his arm while at school. We went to MMC ER and had the fastest and best care by the SIU ortho residents and DR Graves. We knew exactly what they were doing. We knew exactly what they were looking for and the plan to realign his arm. When we followed up at OCI a week later we were greeted by super friendly staff at the front desk and the X-ray dept. Then when we were called back to the exam room the nurses were so friendly and patient with him and listening to his story. Dr Graves reviewed his X-rays and spoke to my son as the patient and asked if there was any questions and took the time to listen to those questions and answered them personally. The follow up and casting process was explained step by step. No he wasn t a spine patient but I still want to put out there that the compassion and time from this surgeon, no matter the issue, is there.

I tore the ACL in my left knee in July and I decided to go to OCI to have reconstruction surgery done. From the start, throughout the process, and to this day I am relieved I chose to go with Dr. Sharma. He gives me honest opinions and expectations for all aspects of the surgery to recovery. I hope I never have to have another procedure done but if I do there s no doubt I am going to go to OCI and use Dr. Sharma. OCI also has a friendly staff that makes you feel comfortable when you walk in the door. Thank you, Dr. Sharma, for everything you ve done throughout this process.

First visit great but the doctor ran 35 minutes late. Second visit doctor was an hour behind and spent all of 5 minutes with me. It wasted a $40 copay. She could have told me over rhe phone I needed an MRI.

The nurse Stephanie for doctor church is a horrible nurse. People like this do not need a license. She is not someone who cares about people or cares about her job.

My experience with them was great. I had a meniscus tear in my knee that was looked over by Springfield clinic twice. Dr. Ludwig seen me immediately and said he didn't know how it was over looked by them. So a month later I had surgery to repair the tear and his whole staff for surgery and rehab was excellent

Dr Senica is caring and thoughtful. She went to great lengths to discuss my treatment plan. Her staff is also very attentive.

Dr. Senica is a very busy practicing doctor but she never makes you feel as if you are unimportant. She always takes the necessary amount of time to assess your symptoms and treat accordingly. She is great and I would recommend her to every one who has an orthopedic problem!

Dane Church is caring for both my knees. Dr. Church and his staff are very friendly and caring. I do not feel rushed and my questions are answered. I feel good when I leave knowing I have the best of care. Actually I see several doctors there and all are the best. I feel they don't rush to surgery right away. Dr. Church and Dr. Williams are great!!!!!

Dr Church was amazing! My mother broke her femur thru a previous hip.fracture repair and he was able to fix it. Surgery ended after midnight and he took the time to show me the x-rays and discuss things. The office was always accommodating and helpful with mom's appointments also.

From the receptionist who checked me in, to the nurse who took my vitals, to the intern who thoroughly explained my MRI results, and to Dr. Graves, himself, who listened to my concerns and worked with me to develop a treatment plan, everyone at the Ortho Clinic was very friendly, compassionate, and professional!

I came into OCI Monday, July 1, at 11 am as a walk-in with a broken leg. (Doctor in St Thomas had Xrayed my leg the previous Thursday, showed me it was broken & immobilized it.)
Back in Spfld, OCI Receptionist got my info, told me where to sit & that someone would be right with me. & they were.
Vitals taken, I was told Dr. Senica would be right with me. And, the doctor was moments after an X-ray.
New X-ray showed the breaks. Because the breaks and bones all lined up that a boot would be the recommended way to go. No hesitation.
Doctor told me what to expect if I don t care of myself and length of time to heal. I m listening to the advice and will be back for a check up in a week.
Dr. Senica is excellent in quickly diagnosing the problem, recommending a course of healing and impacts if I do not follow her recommendations.
I appreciate that. My next marathon maybe a little bit more down the road.

Dr. Maender was excellent at getting my badly broken wrist repaired. He was very encouraging and calmly addressed my concerns before and after surgery. After surgery, my wrist has healed well and in perfect alignment. From experience, I would recommend him for any wrist surgeries.

Although I have only met with Dr. Graves once to evaluate my pain issue, I feel he covered everything I need to know in order to move forward.

As always I recommend Dr Graves anytime, besides being a great Dr, he's also very personal gentlemen.

I have been seeing Dr. Graves for a few months due to a painful back problem. Although the problem has yet to be identified, he hasn't given up on me. I find him to be very personable while remaining professional and concerned. He's very forthcoming with information and opinions. I feel that he'll stay with me until we find a solution.
