Right from my initial phone contact with office staff and meeting with the sales rep Dave Greene it was a good experience! Jeff B. and Steven, the two fellows who did the installation of my AC, were prompt, friendly and efficient. They completed the job in a timely fashion, took the time to explain the system to me and answer any of my questions and cleaned up before they left.
They never got back to me regarding a humidifier. So I had BAP install. Sorry guys. But reception was very friendly when I called that why I'm giving a 3 star. Just dropped the ball overall. I was told a gentleman would be calling me about servicing my request and never heard anything.
I was a Reliance customer for almost 10 years. I was very close to signing a new rental agreement with them. Than I met Phil from Oosterveld. Quickly Phil gained my trust with how genuine and honest he was. I upgraded my furnace, AC and water heater all together. So far the system has been installed for almost two months and I couldn't be happier. I asked my tenant today if it's quieter and more comfortable. She said it's way better. I am so glad that I called Oosterveld Heating and Air Conditioning to install my new high efficiency furnace, A/C and hot water tank. The office staff were very friendly and helpful on the phone, and Phil was a very knowledgeable and genuine sales representative who helped me select the right models to fit my needs. Neil and Spencer went above and beyond the call of duty with their attention to detail during the installation. From the "Neil Special" furnace installation to re-routing my drier vents (which has decreased my drying time to a third of the time, saving me even MORE money), these guys were friendly, knowledgeable and truly professional. They took pride in their work and they should! I've worked with many contractors and installers before and none of them held a candle to these two. Condensation water came from the hose for a 10 years AC, 2 times different guy came still couldn't solve it. In the name of technician, the guy came for sale their AC instead of fixing the issue. Totally cheating.

We have a 100+ year old home heated with hot water heat. As a result, we have no furnace, no ductwork and air conditioning has never been installed. We wanted to install air conditioning and duct it through the finished attic so we would have ducts to the second and first floor. We called a few contractors to give us a quote on our plan and Oosterveld was one of them. Oosterveld was the only company that seemed confident that the job could be done, had a reasonable price for the job and did not try to point us to ugly split units instead. We hired them. Gerry came more than once to review the plans prior to starting work, and Rick came for a final walk-through before work began. The installers were on time, professional and friendly throughout. It was difficult to get into the small spaces in the crawlspace above the attic with the ductwork and electrical but they found a way while damaging the finished area as little as possible . They took pains to install the ductwork in the neatest way they could, and listened to our feedback. We were exceptionally pleased and there was no surprise when we got the invoice. BRUTAL...had a repair guy come in to look at a GEO unit, after an hr or so he said everything looks good, he then got on a call and after about another hr, told me everything he told me wasn't right and that there was a bunch of things wrong, then charged me $200 for the service call. The service light now REMAINS on (was intermittent before) and my hydro bill has gone through the roof.
Four year ago I had a Lennox Furnace installed by Oosterveld via Costco under my wife s name. As of today it is now broken and I am awaiting an appointment to have it fixed at my expense.
From start to finish my interactions with Oosterveld were very poor. So poor that the owner of the company tried to make it right and called me personally. I had to complain to Costco multiple times to get anything done.
The salesman was rude. The furnace was not installed properly the first time. It took them three visits to finish installing the furnace properly. The technician unplugged my hot water tank to plug in his tools and never plugged it back in so we had cold water the next morning. They filed my paperwork wrong so initially I was denied some of my rebates.
And now after only four years my furnace is broken and I highly suspect it is due to an improper installation.
I have been satisfied with oosterveld in the past however after my recent attempt to use their service i have had to find an alternative. The combination of a service technician who stormed off when asked whether he brought replacement parts and an unapologetic owner are not reassuring signs of a customer focused business.
I bought a new air conditioner and not only is Lennox a great product but the service was outstanding! From the initial meeting they explained the air conditioners features and pricing and didn't try to up-sell me on features I didn't need. Once the installation date came, they were on time and respectful. They left everything neat and tidy and gave detailed instructions on how to get the most efficient and effective use from my new new system. They also went above and beyond by fixing up a few things in my vents & ventilation. I highly recommend them. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that it was expensive ...however it was well worth the money.
My furnace quit working on Mother's Day and with the snow this year, I needed it. I had a previous quote from 2018 so I called Oosterveld. Their response was fast, Dave the salesman was professional and quick and they honoured my original quote with a minor adjustment. Simon was extremely knowledgeable and was able to identify and fix the problem as well educate me on furnace filters, I tend to buy high end but in actual fact they tend to constrict the air flow more, so he recommended the proper filter. Also Claudia was very professional and easy to deal with on the phone so always good to make a good first impression. Lastly cost, thought the pricing was very reasonable and would go back to Oosterveld.
On time arrival by Simon. Good review on the how the system eas working, any areas of concern. Simon went to work and serviced the heating system. Simon wore his face covering throughput his visit to my house.
Adam came an hour early so we were not quite ready for him but it was not an issue. A bracket needed to be made secure, which he did,but it is crooked. Good company to deal with.

Ive used these guys for years and have been great but I may reconsider. Diagnosed my furnace problem as my thermostat that I have used for years. All good so I went out and bought a new thermostat. Paid the diagnostic bill then my furnace stops the next day. After multiple visits, my furnace is fixed with a new board. I have paid bill but I fail to see why I am paying for a faulty diagnosis and a new thermostat that I didnt need in the first place. Thanks for reading!

explained all the parts of the furnace and what each parts did. checked amperage on motors to make sure everything was working as it is suppose to ..checked the amount of carbon monoxide coming out of the outside vent.. He did an excellent job and I was very very pleased with his work ethic.. thank you for your excellent work and it shows that he has a genuine love for his job and and his desire to do great work.... On March 10 Mark and Ben arrived with our new Lennox Furnace. We live in a condo with a drop ceiling and our painter opened a couple of holes in the ceiling to allow access to remove the old vent piping and to install new vent piping . The old furnace and piping were removed efficiently with no mess . Mark and Ben installed the new furnace with great pride in their workmanship. A new thermostat was installed and the operation of the thermostat was explained to us . I would recommend this company and their service personnel. Both installers displayed pride in the installation and great customer service.
We recently purchased a Lennox furnace and A/C through Oosterveld. The install ended up taking a bit longer than anticipated so it was a bit rushed by the installers as they had other jobs lined up (not an uncommon occurrence in any industry). I brought some of my concerns to Oosterveld's attention after the install, and they were very professional about it, took steps to rectify all the issues, and to ensure 100% satisfaction with the product, the install, and the service.
The team members that I was most impressed by deserve a special mention. Rick, the owner, who went above and beyond to ensure we were 100% satisfied, Claudia and Alysha for taking our concerns seriously and arranging for a quick check of the work done, and Mark, the senior installer who was very thorough and responsive to correct deficiencies personally and in a timely manner. We paid a premium over the more popular and well-known Canadian national home comfort supplier, but the caliber of the team members at Oosterveld and their professionalism have already proven that we made the right choice!

Jeff arrived on time and was excellent. We had asked to have our gas capped as are switching from a gas fireplace to an electric one. Jeff accomplished that and also cut the power to it (safely plugging the exposed wires) and loosened everything the fireplace was attached too so it could be easily removed. Thank you again Jeff! I went through Oosterveld to purchase and install a tankless water heater, and I was inclined to comment on this particular experience, because it is very rare these days where businesses take pride in customer experience along with the quality of work. My father who is a perfectionist also pointed out the quality of work for the installation and said he hasn't seen work like this in years. It is incredibly refreshing to have such a pleasant experience, since many businesses these days are only self interested. The added cherry on top is that I never have to deal with Reliance EVER again. Thank you to Oosterveld for a wonderful experience! I will be contacting them in Spring 2021 to purchase and install a new AC unit as well.

Fast service, friendly, solved the problem. I just have a hard time accepting ~$320 labour for a 10 minute diagnostic and 10 minute install of a ~$30 part (that I had to google because they wouldn't tell me the cost). House is a 5 km drive from shop. Same with AireServe, so I suppose it is the business. Regardless, I do not see how the labour cost can be justified. Will take the risk and figure it out on my own next time.
The Oosterveld employee was on time and professional. He talked me through the process he was working on while doing maintenance on the furnace. He was competent and courteous and never pressured me into any decisions on future plans or visits.
I am always happy with the quality of work and timely fashion in which the work is done by Oosterveld Heating and Air Conditioning. This is a very busy time of year, especially for air conditioning units, and even though there was a small glitch at beginning of the process, once things got resolved everything proceeded in a very timely fashion. Workmanship is A+. I also like that they confirm when they are leaving to attend work site and send a picture of the technician who will be coming.

Have used Ooosterveld before for water heater replacement. During April 2020 I received prompt same day repair of furnace problem. The technicians knew exactly what the problem was and heat was back on within 20 minutes. Oosterveld is the best in the Guelph area.

I needed a contractor to address an issue in an income property that I own in Guelph. Alisha on the phones knew immediately that they could provide a WSIB Clearance Certificate number; this was not the case at the business I called first (WSIB Clearance Certificate numbers are needed if an income property owner needs to hire a contractor to perform any work at the property; this ensures that the worker has the necessary insurance coverage to protect all involved in the case of injury). Oosterveld is a reputable and honest company since they realized that I needed a different type of service from what they offer, and instead of trying to get me to purchase services that I did not need, they pointed me in the direction I needed and gave me a recommendation of who they would suggest to do this work (and their suggestion worked out perfectly too!). Don't bother wasting your time with these guys!!! I had a 7:30pm apt tonight to meet with the sales guy for a $20,000 job and I was running behind. The sales guy called me to confirm and I told him I'm on my way. When I arrived at my home he lectured me on the fact that I was slightly late for our apt. I guess he's never been late before. What an idiot did he think he's the only guy in the heating & a/c business. Call AirWave or Hogg they are much nicer to deal with.

One of our rental units had an emergency requiring replacement of failed gas line to hot water tank and Gas company shut it off. They were able to come out within an hour and repaired and contacted Union Gas that work completed! First time every used Oosterveld, and VERY impressed with professionalism and speed of repair. Happy tenant, Happy Property Manager!
