If I could leave ZERO stars, I would. First, I was left on hold 20 minutes prior to being disconnected. My second call was disconnected while I was making the appointment. My third attempt was via text where they didn't respond for hours. A friend, trying to be helpful, used messenger to make my appointment unaware I had found another salon. He tried to cancel via messenger and I tried to cancel via text. Apparently they can accept appointments that way but not cancellations. A "gentleman" called to confirm but very, very rudely wouldn't let my helper cancel ... said we had to call the salon because, for some reason, he could confirm but not cancel appointments. Then he, adding to his rude behavior, hung up on her. Considering they are in a service industry, one would think they'd know a little something about customer service ... especially manners.

I am a hairdresser myself. I moved to Knoxville around 2 years ago. Being a hairdresser, I m always afraid to try a new salon! However, I m far from home and was looking for a new regular salon in my new city. I first went to SV when I moved here. The haircut by Josh was fantastic. I can t say enough. The color wasn t what I asked for, but the colorist immediately fixed it and it turned out beautifully! (After a couple extra hours at my appt) I was ultimately pleased when I left!
I went again last week for a cut and color. I had asked for a balayage. Darker up top. Lighter on the ends. I showed several pictures. I wanted a trim of 1-2 inches and showed pics of that as well! I ended up with over 5 inches gone! My color was done first which I thought was odd, as the shape of the hair matters for color placement. However, the person cutting my hair consulted with the colorist first and knew the plans for my haircut. So I thought...ok...that works! Once the 5-6 inches was gone and the cut totally different Than discussed, ALL my blonde was gone from the ends! The haircut is unbelievably choppy! With a huge cliff in between the layers. It looks like I have 3 different haircuts! Also, the top hadn t had the dark look that I had asked for. So, my colorist scheduled a correction for today. We discussed the correction in detail. My instructions were as follows:
I want the dark base to come down a little farther and I want the ends to be light and bright. The colorist asked me if I wanted any blonde going up to the top and I said if any, VERY minimal She agreed that was a good idea and said she d concentrate the blonde only on the ends! I just left for the second time and my hair is ALL OVER blonde. Besides a 2 inch (If that) shadow root at the top! It looks worse than before the correction! As I said, I m a hairdresser so I pride myself in being able to disguise things by fixing it properly. But I am unable to do that with this. Nor should I have to, considering the money I paid. A woman s hair is everything in how she feels about herself. I had a baby a few months ago and all I wanted was to boost my self confidence. But I feel worse about myself than I have in a long while! I hate leaving bad reviews and NEVER do it. But I paid $240 (not including the tips both times). And I have never been more dissatisfied. It looks NOTHING like the pictures I showed. I realize that some people have unrealistic expectations and can t get what the picture shows, but that was NOT the case here. The requests were simple and doable. I m out a lot of time and money and I am in tears looking in the mirror! Truly disappointed. I have people ask for beauty tips often as it s a big part of who I am...there is no way I could suggest this place to anyone in good conscience at this point.

Karen did an amazing job! I have very long hair and she was respectful, responsible, professional, and so talented! I have not had hair like this in years! Amazing and talented worker. Will go many times again

This salon is amazing!! Going from black to blonde is not a easy process. I spent 6hrs here with the AMAZING KENDRA she absolutely is wonderful and took time to give me the amazing color I have now!! very worth my time and money I now can say I have a wonderful hair colorist and a wonderful salon to call my paradise for my hair!!

So I have the best colorist in the world or on the planet;). I may be bias but it's true. When or if she ever leaves Knoxville I will be uprooting my family to follow her. But seriously Salon Visage is a place that fosters great talent and that talent then stays with them. There is nothing worse than falling in love with one stylist and they are gone the next time you come in. Tara Bruce has been doing my color for almost 10 years. (Yes you should ask for her but don't make her too busy so she doesn't have time for ME). But - there is always a 'but' - it's not a relaxing experience. They pack you in much like aging blonde cattle. With repetitive droning music thumping through the speakers and everyone trying to scream over each other, the dryers and the chatter. And god forbid you book on a Saturday.... It's an absolute zoo. I usually skip the blowout to find peace. Really they should measure the decibels of the noise... they try to obtain serenity in the any way I wouldn't go anywhere else as long as Tara is there. Oh yes if you get a cut with your color be ready to shell out about $250. Beauty is NOT cheap.
Oh and also - they won't return electric products that they sell even with a receipt, even within 15 days. Not at all. I bought a twisting curling iron for $65 that whistled even when it wasn't on. It took me about 4 days to figure out and then I tried to return it. But no go. That to me is bad business.

Beyond satisfied with my haircut by Sebastian! He took his time and did such an amazing job!

I made a last minute appointment with Dexter and I'm so happy I did. When I sat down I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair, I simply knew I wanted a change. He was so attentive, asked question and voila I walked out with the best haircut I've had in years....maybe ever. Dexter gave me the exact haircut I didn't know I wanted. I am beyond impressed with his skill and am appreciative for the styling tips to keep it simple + stylish. Thank you Dexter!

Once again, Dexter NEVER disappoints! I've never had anyone take so much time to perfectly cut my hair! XOXO

honestly, where do I start? I recently moved to Knoxville and being a hairdresser myself, was REALLY nervous to try somewhere new! From the minute I walked in the door to the minute I walked out, I was unbelievably happy! From the sleek salon itself to every single stylist, the professionalism is above and beyond. I felt pampered and catered to, which seems to be a lost art in most salons these days! Now, lets talk hair! I saw Josh for my haircut (wow!) I haven't been this happy with a cut in ages! This man knows hair! I saw Raven for my color! She took me from boring blonde highlights to a nice rich balayage. From her lovely demeanor to her perfect color placement, she is not one to sleep on! My expectations were exceeded and I would recommend this place to ANY one who asked! They do NOT disappoint.

Colorist showed up late to an appointment that was made in advance and did not ask about what I wanted before hand. I still showed her 3 photos detailing what I wanted. Color had to be redone and I was charged more for their mess up.

Chris is fantastic! She knows my hair, is both friendly and professional. I also appreciate that she is very quick and I never have to wait. Salon Visage is a well run business!

Angela was wonderful and gave my daughter a cut she loved! She was also very helpful with advice for fixing her hair to look professional for her summer internship!

I waited 40 minutes after my appointment time for my cut. The director was not willing to give me any discount for my horrible wait time. She just told me I could use a small coupon that I already had...that they would have taken anyways.

Love, love this salon !! They have Southern hospitality and manners known exclusively in the South. It's relaxing, beautiful and the best hair dressers anywhere in the U.S. They have been in the top 25 salons in the nation for years and it's no wonder!!! I drive a round trip totalling 5 hours from ky. & all I can say, it's worth the drive! If you've not been there, my recommendation is Tara Bruce for color and Marlon for a cut & style. You won't be disappointed.

First time here and I will be back! Corin took the time to understand what I was looking for with my cut and did a great job. The salon is bustling and active. Be sure to check for last minute appointments as they do a discount to fill the slots.

Piper was the best. She listened to me, and delivered the exact cut I wanted. The result was better than I had hoped for.

I was an avid avoider of hair salons, cut/colour, what have you, however yesterday I got a wild hair (pun intended) and decided I was going to go blonde and chop off all of my hair. Well, I had discussed with KJ (colourist) that I was terrified of looking brassy and she promised that she wouldn't let me leave unhappy. So after a full highlight and baylayage (spelling?) I was sweating under that robe, but when it was cut and dried it couldn't have been better! I still want it more blonde and that will come in stages, but I am so happy with my hair colour. That being said, Rachel is the wonderful woman that cut my hair and on top of having badass tattoos, she has a great personality and my hair cut is the best that I've ever had. I will most certainly be returning to this place and recommend it to everyone.

I have been seeing Priscilla for several years and she is fantastic. Most recently, she helped me grow my hair from a pixie cut to well below my shoulders; it was a process I could not have done without her!! The only down side to longer hair is I don't get to visit with her as often. Her talent, experience and charming personality are unmatched!

Always just a wonderful experience! The staff is outstanding and extremely knowledgeable to what my needs are. I do not ever have unnecessary services or products pushed on me and the prices are always competitive to other salons. I have been a client for 17 yrs with always outstanding service.

I have been going to Salon Visage for years and love it. Dylon and Piper are amazing! Christian has also done wonderful for my daughter, who has been growing her hair out after having both sides completely shaved. The atmosphere here makes me forget about the real world for just a little while and everyone is amazing to talk to here.

I have been using this salon for almost a year. I have had my hair cut about 6 times here. I had my hair cut about 2 weeks ago and it is by far the worst haircut I have ever had. I asked to have my hair trimmed, reshaped and bangs. I was trying to grow my hair out and just needed a trim. When I left there I was so unhappy. My hair had been cut much shorter than I wanted. (It s very short) and no bangs. The stylist seemed distracted and did not listen to what I wanted. I paid $73 for a haircut that is uneven and gapped. I will never go there again. This haircut makes me insecure and embarrassed.

My daughter came in for a haircut recently. She has super thick, frizzy, curly hair. Hava treated her like a princess. Her haircut looks amazing and she straightened and styled it perfectly. We don t mind the 40 minute drive, one way, to come to Salon Visage for Hava to do her hair! Very happy customer!

Honestly, this is the best salon I have ever been to! Zack does my color and Piper does my cut and style... let s just say they are the legit dream team! Every time I leave my hair is 100% what I asked for and AMAZING! Everyone in the salon is so kind and knowledgeable! You literally get treated like royalty and you can tell they truly love what they do! If you want the best, and I mean the BEST, haircare do your self a favor and pay them a visit!

I came to this salon a shell of a woman. I had been the victim of chemically burned hair from another salon. Belinda, the nicest woman I ve met in all of Tennessee, owns the salon and babied my hair back to life without compromising my dream of Barbie blonde hair. Sebastian is the most talented cutting specialist and he put in extensions that made me feel fabulous about myself again. I can t recommend them enough. The staff is all so talented and everybody is up on the new techniques in the hair world.

My favorite salon! Very professional and talented staff. I've been getting my hair cut here with Andrew Howard for over 3 years now and have had a great experience each time. Allison also does a great job with hair coloring.

I know they are a bit expensive but its worth it. Always very clean and up with the newest trends. I am never disappointed and save my money so I can go there and get what I want. As they say you get what you pay for and I love what I get when I go to this salon.

When you show the color technician several pictures and she says, I got you girl, I know what you need and it s exactly that. Thank you Heather for making me feel great and doing a fantastic job on my hair.

I love coming to the salon because it s such a fun environment and everyone is so nice and welcoming. Chasity knows exactly what I like regarding my hair color and always does a great job. Dex recently cut my long hair into a super cute shoulder length bob and I get so many compliments on it. It s great to have stylists that you mesh with and knows what works best for your hair type. Thanks so much for such great service.

I wish I could give 10 stars! Andrew Howard has absolutely transformed my hair. I have had so many people give me a so so cut, followed by a bad one that I had just started trimming my hair myself. I never realized that there was actually cuts and ways to texture that would do what it has done! Its growing back beautifully and feels better and better with each cut. He is the type of stylist you follow around if they move salons, though I hope the company realizes what they have and never lets him leave :) I just have to tell him what I 'kind of' want and whats bothering me about my hair he totally gets it! He takes his time, and tells you ways to care for your hair. Better haircuts and styles than I have gotten from salon OWNERS. Definitely a life time client.

DO NOT GO TO SALON VISAGE FOR EXTENTIONS!! I WENT IN FOR CONSULTATION AND WAS MISQUOTED THE ACTUAL PRICE. I WAS TOLD IT WAS $240, AND WENT BACK THE NEXT WEEK TO GET THEM PUT IN AND THEY TRIED CHARGING OVER $600!! NOT TO MENTION I WAS TOLD BY THE STYLIST I COULD COLOR, CUT, OR DO WHATEVER I WANTED TO IT AS IF IT WAS MY NATURAL HAIR. FIRST OFF, I WAITED 2 DAYS, THEN SHAMPOOED IT, AND THEY STARTED FALLING OUT! THEN I TALKED TO THE MANAGER, AND WAS BARELY ABLE TO GET BACK IN TO GET THEM FIXED BC I WAS MISQUOTED MY PRICE AND NOW THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I'VE WASHED THEM AND THEY'RE FALLING OUT AGAIN! AND I LOOK AS IF I HAVE A MULLET BC MY HAIR WAS CUT LIKE A PIXIE CUT, SO THEREFORE I'M A BOX SHORT, AND I REFUSE TO PAY 325 DOLLARS TO GET THEM RETAPED AGAIN JUST SO THEY CAN FALL OUT AGAIN! THIS IS FOR MY WEDDING DAY.... SUPPOSED TO BE THE BIGGEST DAY OF MY LIFE AND I LOOK BALD HEADED AND CRAZY AS HELL BC I HAVE HAIR EXTENTIONS HALFWAY DOWN MY HEAD AND IT LOOKS LIKE I'VE TRIED TAPING HAIR ON TOP OF MY OWN HAIR. There are lots of talented and experienced people working here. They are taking Covid 19 very seriously right now. Everyone was wearing a mask and social distancing was built in to the overall experience. It was nice to feel safe and relax for once.

Love this place. I have been going there exclusively for the 4 almost 5 years I have lived in Knoxville. Allison and Gabriel are my go to and I can not imagine letting anyone else touch my hair. I can not express enough how amazing these two are. Amazing enough I even took my mom there.

People are nice but very pricey. The person that cuts your hair doesn't colour, bit weird. You have to explain what you want to several people.

It's hard to find a new and good hair professional when you move. I found Salon Visage through Groupon and met Tori. She's been my color specialist for 2 years. She's fabulous. I'm stuck with her :-)

It was my first time today coming to the salon and I loved the atmosphere! The stylists all know exactly what you need for your hair and will be able to exceed your expectations. I got my color done by Chasidy and cut by Maia, they both knew what would look good and make my hair healthier. Definitely will be coming back!

I have been coming to Salon Visage for years and Marlon B. has been cutting my hair ever since and I can honestly say I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is amazing!

Today wasvan exceptional day, I was in for my cut and the 80s music that was playing overhead gave me such a great vibe. I wish that it played all the time and not that boring elevator music. This made everyone so upbeat. Please consider the change in that boring music.

Now for the review..
Rewind to yesterday as ANOTHER salon/stylist not only gave me hot roots but burned off about 1/4 of my hair.

As I am literally sobbing on the bathroom floor, my husband calls SV. They get me into a senior stylist in 2 hours. As I am still welling up, my wonderful hubbs pours me into the car and drives me to the salon. I am terrified, defeated, and overwhelmed. We walk in. He goes to the counter. I hang my (3 year old got ahold of a scissors and a barbie) head in shame.
Christian comes up to me and the first words out of his mouth are.. "Well, the good thing is, you're pretty". For some reason, I knew things were going to be, at least, ok.

Everyone in the salon was so ridiculously kind.

My hair is short. And its dope.
Sienna Miller in Factory Girl. I actually love it.

Roots get fixed tomorrow.

Christian, if you read this , you are an angel. You have no idea what you did for me today and you will now have a client for life..

Excellent hair salon - my wife and I have been customers for over 20 years.

My 8 year old daughter had her hair cut by Jeremiah and he was fantastic. High attention to detail. Very courteous. It is by far the best haircut she's ever received. We will be back.

I went to have a haircut. When I did the appointment I asked if they do fades and modern men's hairstyles. They say yes! I was so confident but I get the worst dissatisfaction ever. 60 dollars and they do not know how to do fades and have a descent haircut. I do not recommend this place for men haircuts.

I have been coming to this salon for over 10 years. Teresa does an amazing job with curly hair. In fact, I love this salon so much that when I moved to Atlanta 4 years ago I still came back to Knoxville just to get my hair cut. Normally I would give four stars but today when I arrived in Knoxville I discovered they were closed. No notice was sent out in any form letting me know not to make the 4 hour drive in. I find it incredibly unprofessional to not notify upcoming appointments they are being cancelled. I do understand the reason for cancelling but not notifying your clients is inexcusable.

I finally found a hair stylist that cuts my hair exactly as I ask. He always does an excellent job. Christian is the best hair stylist at Salon Visage!

Well what can I say. This place is absolutely amazing. Raven Orengo is the person who color my hair and she is great. Every time the result is better than I expected. The perfect colorist, Love her !!! and Katie and Angela they are great as well always love in my haircuts.

Express pedicures for my husband and me came to $50 each. These were normal, nothing fancy, and with no polish for me. We will not go back.

Mr. Christian Branson cut my hair today, and did a FABULOUS job! Ultra- professional! Took the parameters that I gave him, and designed a haircut! Never had that before, he actually listened.Makes Edward Scisorhands look like an amateur. Now don't go running and take up all of his appointments! I need them!

I had my first appointment for color today & it definitely won t be my last! I had a few co workers who go to Tyleia for their beautiful, blonde hair and I knew I had finally found somewhere to try! Tyleia was so sweet, and did an amazing job on my highlights! The salon is huge and had SO many people working, but very well ran. I would highly recommend Tyleia if you re looking for a great, blonde colorist!!

First time I've been there and I will definitely keep going. I love the atmosphere and hands down the best hair color and style that I have ever had done (and I've had my hair colored A LOT). Brittany at Salon Visage is definitely amazing! I also loved the fact she gave me an honest opinion of what I should do with my hair instead of just going along with what I wanted. Amazing experience (also can't beat the prices...went to another "top" salon in Knoxville and spent over $100 and hated the job they did)!

I have been going to Salon Visage for well over 10 years have had nothing but exceptional service. For last several years Raven has been in charge of my color and she has been spot on every time for producing exactly whatever craziness I come up with!! She is absolutely amazing so much so that my teenage daughter now goes to her and loves her as well!! I couldn t imagine another person coloring our hair!! She has customers for life!!

Allison is the best colorist I have been to in the Knoxville area. What makes her great is not only her skill, but the fact she does not over highlight your hair. I love that she will recommend a single process service when your highlights are still good, which makes it more affordable to keep having your hair highlighted. I love that about her! In addition to being a great colorist, she's also super nice which always makes the salon experience a great one.

Love my hair! Came in for a consultation and they were able to work me in today to get it done. Everything was perfect, they really listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly what I asked for. Super clean and friendly as well. Much needed treat for myself and I feel so much better. Worth the money and I will be back. Thank you!!
