Staying at the Omni CNN center in Atlanta has been very enjoyable so far. We're staying for a convention and the staff have all been really friendly the location is good. And Ubers and taxis are plentiful a little bit if a walk to the Marta. Only issue was a lack of clarity on ordering the breakfast buffet for all four days that we would be staying we ended up only getting one days worth of vouchers.
Went for lunch before cnn tour and burgerfi was great
Directly connects you to the convention center, very convenient. There are a bunch of restaurants in 5-10min walking distance. Can see the Atlanta SkyView from the hotel. Service has been okay. The building is slightly confusing to get to the room from the elevators because of a lot of corridors to walk in and get lot in between.
Paid for a king, didn t get it.
All the lightbulbs in the room are dead
Called and front desk was not helpful
I stayed at this hotel while attending a conference hosted at this hotel and this place was so nice to stay at. The rooms are nice and spacious and they have a good court on the south tower that you are able to get to. The hotel location is also conveniently located near the Mercedes Benz stadium. I would definitely return to this hotel.
Hotel was great. Valet not good waited 50 minutes to get car.
Toured CNN and ate breakfast there. Had a good time.
This was one of the worst stays that I have had at this hotel. We stayed in the south tower and wanted to go to the food court. I have to use an electric wheelchair, the elevator that you have to use was out of order. I was told that I would have to go back over to the north tower go outside, then cross the street and go around the south tower and come into the side of the building to where the food court was located. We had gone to the stadium for an event and upon returning and getting to the lobby in the south tower there was a crowd of people because of the four elevators only two were working and one of them finally broke down. Some people finally started walking to their rooms. This was really a bad day for a five star hotel.
Stay was great every close to alot of restaurants and events.
Got a good deal on labor day weekend for this hotel. Otherwise overpriced
The room was great. Clean, spacious. Great view over the park . Hotel is within walking distance to alot.
The down sides. The elevators kept breaking. There are 4 elevators and 2 were constantly broken. The escalators were also broken all 3 days there. The whole place was just noisy. The parking garage took 45 min to get my car so make sure you call ahead.
The room being clean and the view made up for the issues. This could be a great place to stay. But right now it's just "OK".
It's a very nice hotel. But perhaps to8p large to navigate around. If you are going to the sports arena, stadium, World Congress Center, Centennial park. Then you are staying right in ther heart of it all.
I love to pay $45 a day just to park my vehicle. Don't you? How convenient.
Clerk refused to remove state sales tax even though we had official forms for state teacher employees that are tax exempt. Now I'll have to pay that out of my pocket.
You would think for a hotel that charges almost $150 per night, that the amenities would be better.
No free wifi. Pillows were horrible. $6 for a bottle of water in the room. They also don't let you know about mandatory valet parking until you get there....by the way that's another $35. Don't forget the 16% tax on the room. Crap. Total crap. If you like to spend a lot of money on nothing, go right ahead.
Felt about as special as a piece of meat on a deli counter.
Shockingly enough, this hotel uses e-mail as the primary source to contact a customer if there is a problem booking the room. Lost my first night of stay because of that.
Felt like the front desk staff genuinely didnt care about my experiance and didnt even try to hide it. When checking out I called for a bellhop to take my baggage down. 30 minutes pass. Nothing. Called again and was told I never called for one in the first place. Apparently they didnt believe me because I was put at the back of the queue. All the while, my driver waiting for my bags was getting hassled by the valet.
When asked about my stay at the front desk I voiced my complaint and was basically told, "well 800 people are checking out right now. Maybe you should have called an hour in advance". Gee, thanks for the sympathy. Nobody ever apologises for anything.
Only reason I rate this two stars instead of 1 star is because ironically, the cleaning staff was friendly. Only time I had a genuine smile and greeting. Room was clean and comfortable. I fully expect nobody to care enough to follow up with me about my bad experiance. If you dont care about southern hospitality smiles, this could be an option, if only for the comphy rooms.
We had a great weekend. WSC.The Omni is great and in walking distance of the con at the Georgia World Congress Center. Beds in North Tower are great.
My stay was nothing but stress and trouble. Originally I was told I could check in early. I get there and they say the room isn't ready yet but they would call me after it was clean. I waited 2 hrs later and still no call. Come to find out the employee never put my room in the queue to clean so our room was never cleaned. Then during check out they said check out was at 11am but when i spoke with another employee she told me 12pm. At 10:08am I called to have a roll cart brought to the room for my luggage. Almost an hr later the bellhop told me they had came to the room at 10:32am and no one was there.<br/> Which is a lie. I was there until 10:26am and then my fiancee stayed in the room while i went to get the car. They never called and never showed up so we resorted to lugging everything ourselves down 15 flights of steps because the bellhop wouldn't send anyone up until he got through everyone who called after me. The elevators are so small that during events its impossible to get anywhere in a timely manner as well. Overall it was a terrible visit and none of the employees seemed to help or care. I come to a convention every year around this time but next year i will be staying at another hotel. For the amount of money we spent on the rooms, it shouldn't have been that unpleasant. Never Again. If you are looking for a hotel during Momocon, try someplace else
Was here as part of a business conference. The hotel runs like a well-oiled machine, with the staff and meeting rooms prepared extremely quickly. The catering provided a variety of options, and was flexible enough to suit most dietary preferences. The rooms were comfortable and we'll sized, though they lose a point in my eyes for not having in room coffee. I'm aware that room service provides it, and there's a Starbucks in the CNN center itself but I need my morning caffeine. The location is superb, near a lot of attractions, including the sports arenas and stadium in addition to the aforementioned CNN center. Plus it's very close to the MARTA rail stop.
I expected more from CNN Tour.
But if you take a VIP tour maybe you can see more.
The location is amazing for what's around and the amazing views.
Hotel is not up to date as far as furniture inside the room. Front Desk representatives were not friendly nor were the valet staff.
Very nice place - close to the park, the college football hall of fame, etc. Staff was great. Restaurant was very good. Just make sure you have plenty of cash for tips.......
Check-in in the Omni was extremely quick and friendly. When we got to the room it was well presented clean and tidied up. We had one of the greatest views of Centennial Park which is really awesome. Over all in all it was a really rocking stay and would definitely recommend a night out on the town to begin at the Omni
Great staff and rooming at this hotel. Fantastic hotel for conferences. The staff is extremely accommodating. They have a mini market to get toiletries, snacks, and last minute items.
Fantastic location in downtown Atlanta. Close to many amazing restaurants and and nightlife. Rooms are comfortable and the staff is great.
Rooms are dated and the elevators are really slow. Only 2 of 4 elevators work, causing ling lines.
Front desk employees need some help with customer service skills. Room in North Tower had an unpleasant odor and the A/C was loud and would make on and off rattling sounds. Dirty room service dishes left in hallway for our entire stay. Got stuck on the elevator because the door was jammed. Just felt rundown and not worth the $$. The valet personnel were efficient and nice but that should be expected for $45.00 per day. The fitness center was one of the better fitness centers I have seen in a hotel. Clean with great equipment. I won't say here, again though. Four star prices for what is now a two-star hotel.
Beautiful views of Centennial Park and the Atlanta skyline. Close proximity to the venue was a key factor for us, and the amenities and options available are outstanding. Staff is very friendly, and ready to help at the drop of a hat.
Rooms are nice, beds are comfortable, staff is excellent.
A bit dated but still best hotel next to the World Congress Center.
Omni Atlanta has great service, amenities and a fantastic location. Right next to the Georgia Aquarium and The World of Coke, in addition to being attached to the CNN center, is simply the best! 5 star all the way!
The valet at this hotel is by far the worst experience I've ever had at ANY hotel. They lack professionalism and respect. They left my vehicle unattended with all windows down up front for hours. Due to construction across the street my vehicle was extremely dusty inside. They lost my key and clained I had them the whole time. After all the attitude and accusation they did, they finally found them. No one speaks or understands english. They just yell at you even after they are in the wrong. Worst experience ever! I will NEVER stay again. If you value your vehicle, or your time STAY away from this nightmare hotel.
This hotel is awesome. I came in late in a conference, didn t reserve any rooms and they were very understanding and was able to accommodate me with not 1 but 3 rooms. The staff was always friendly. And as a bonus the CNN center was attached with an amazing food court. Over all I had a 5 star experience. Thanks for being there for me.
Excellent Hotel. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond in meeting my needs while there. The restaurant breakfast was exceptional. I will be staying here again!
Excellent staff. Very friendly, very helpful.
Bed comfy.
At $240 a night, you want me to pay for wifi? Come on.
At night it was EXTREMELY loud. I was 10 floors above the main street by the park and until 4am you could hear trumpets blasting, people screaming and clapping, and traffic cops whistling. If you need quiet to fall asleep, definitely ask for a room away from the street.
No dresser, so I moved the Bible from its drawer and put my socks and undies in there.
In a lot of ways it just seemed a bit cheap. Location is convenient for a conference in the same location, but if I didn't have a conference there (and if I was paying for it out of my own pocket), I'd stay elsewhere.
I had a good time here. I waited in the CNN center before a Hawks game.
Ok place, a lot of homeless people around st night.
Location was central, hotel was immaculate, huge event spaces.
Staff has all been polite and courteous. Rooms clean and good price
I felt the hotel was nice, clean, friendly staff, 2 blocks from the Georgia Aquirum, Coca-Cola Center & Martin Luther King Center. The CNN Center was connected to our hotel. Breakfast wasn't incl but there was a restaurant on site. Parking was $45 - $55 per night, they ONLY do valet parking. When you arrive the valet service takes your keys and parks it for you. They give you a ticket so you can show them when you need to pick it up or if you need to go out for something. In order to get it though you must scan the ticket from the valet meter and it'll notify them that you are ready for your car. I got a good deal on the room, however they charge $100/night to your card when you check in, it'll be refunded back to the card after you check out. They have no snack machine on site, only drink machines. I would book here again when I come back to Atl.
Hotel was beautiful. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Would love to stay again.
Was here for a meeting. Meeting rooms were large and laid out well. As with many hotel meetings...bring a jacket. The large rooms were very cold.
The rooms are smaller than the pictures let you think, good service, over priced (I think because CNN) but is within walking distance of great attractions.
Very nice hotel. You can not beat the service. Easy access to everything.
It was great! I just wish I could have given Anderson and Don a big hug!
The stay itself at the Omni was great with no issues or interaction with staff; however, the same can't be said for our terrible arrival and check-in experience.
Upon arrival there was a very long line for check-in, and once at the front we discovered that none of the rooms were prepared for nearly everyone in line. We waited to be called for three hours, which was absolutely unacceptable. On top of that, the staff at the desk were rude and belittled us: we got three calls from an ID "Morsels" and the first two times the attendants insisted it wasn't them and we needed to wait longer. The third time I made the staff member on the phone confirm our stay details so I knew it was indeed the Omni itself, then informed the desk attendant that whether they knew it or not their caller ID was indeed Morsels and they made us wait longer for no reason other than being unwilling to admit their mistake. They finally gave us our room but said there was "nothing they could do for us" and offered us a bottle of water instead of making things right whatsoever.
CNN Center has a ton of food options and Omni Atlanta is one of the best hotels around that area.
Hotel very central and nice. Rooms of good size and of very good quality. For the price should include the internet and breakfast, at least continental. There should be possibility of late check out.
Beautiful Hotel in Downtown Atlanta. The restaurants are great and the staff are absolutely the best. I give them 9 stars!
Construction in the area! Other than that all was great!!!
A magnificent hotel with good maintenance. Being in CNN Towers is an added advantage.
Great location , nice service but building and room a bit old
I needed to charge my phone and they didn't kick me out. Lobby was comfy and warm, surprisingly quiet too for the business. 10/10 would charge my phone again.
Vallet was rude because I only wanted to vallet park for 1 night the room still had drinks in the frigid from previous guest and the balcony had cigarette butts on it with no chairs for the cost I don't feel like the room was up to par but hey happy wife happy life and the bed slept well!
I have reserved king room I have paid A-day earlier because I knew I was get in earlier To check in they didn't have my room ready Even though I paid for A-day earlier and that was supposed to have a king Did the not have my king bed so they so they gave me 2 Queen bed instead of one king went to their Front desk and the manager pretty rude didn't care
Great location, great access to nearby venues, incredible view of the city, adequate conference rooms, and helpful staff. Limited access to a microwave.
Valet parking is rude and very unorganized... don't be in a hurry to go anywhere bc you'll end up waiting like an hour for your car. I got the romance package.... don't do it! Not worth the money very cheap looking and the wine was nasty... with a handful of strawberries for 184$
Make sure u check your bill bc we got charged for the coffee shop and haven't been there
Love the view over centennial Olympic Park and the service is amazing
Great location, next to Olympic Park. Awesome skiline view .
The room itself is nice, however, as i type this, I ve just passed my second hour waiting on valet to park my car. The valet fee is $45 per day might i add.
I stay here basically every time I come to this area and I always enjoy the service and people.
Everyone very polite, also very Helpful. Clean, nice atmosphere
