Great customer service from every staff member I interacted. Couldn't have asked for a better location either: it's connected to CNN HQ (which apparently has the tallest free-standing escalator in the world?). Across the street is the Centennial Olympic Park, it's next to a MARTA station, and within a 10 minute walk are where the Falcons and Hawks play, the GA Aquarium, the College Football Hall of Fame...you get the idea.
Almost 5 stars but the room was smaller than expected AND they gave us a room in the South Tower.
! [NOTE: There are two towers--the North Tower and the South Tower. The towers are connected by a skyway. Many of the rooms in the South Tower have balconies that face into the CNN Center while the North Tower is the newer of the two and is across the street.]

Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. CNN center was crowded but still the staff was nice. I wish I had been able to find seating though. Being pregnant and having 4 tables swiped from me was upsetting.

I had to stay at this hotel because the Hyatt Regency Atlanta overbooked our rooms. With the price paid for this hotel I did not see any value. The beds were very uncomfortable and you could feel the springs in your back. The bedding was not clean so I had to take it off the bed, thankful I packed my own blanket on this trip. My room had another door to connect to an adjoining room which was an issue because the person next door coughed all night long and it sounded as if he was in the room with me. Lastly, I left my Dell laptop charger in the room. I called within a couple hours of checking out to let them know that I had and they sent me to lost and found. I was told it wasn't turned in. I called again the next day, told again it wasn't turned in. I had to spent $65 on a new charger when I know that mine was left on the desk in that room. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel.

Furniture in room old with chipped finishes and cigarette burns. It is now nearly 6:00 PM and our room has still not been cleaned. Returned from a day out of the hotel at 4:30 and have been repeatedly told "sorry, we'll send someone right up" and still no one has arrived.
Very poor service and lack of response from management.
Okay, someone from housekeeping finally arrived at the door and just asked "What do you guys need?"
How about the room being cleaned, beds made and whatever you're supposed to do?

I was there during a game and several conferences, and it was extremely busy, however the staff here was amazing. If I had a question or issue, they were quick to answer and/or assist. The service here exceeded my expectations. See you again Omni Atlanta!

I attended the Bronner Brothers summer show. I was relieved to be adjacent to my event. I always felt safe. The lounge was a great place to relax between events. I loved the shrimp and grits and fabulous cocktails. I will be back.

I came to Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center for bus...
I came to Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center for business (my first stay at Omni), to conduct job recruitment. Before and during my stay I had 3(!) instances of bad experience.
1. My suite reservation was cancelled shortly before my arrival (when all interviews were scheduled). I had to spend at least week to do the "damage control" and receive the separate mini-conference room (to be fair, thanks for that although it was a lot of stress).
2. My post packages which I thought I had arranged OMNI to accept has been "returned to sender" one day before my arrival. Before the packages were shipped I contacted the Front Desk for guidance and was instructed to 1) leave a note with confirmation number and date of arrival on the packages. I was assured that the Front Desk would leave a message to the Mail Room and put the date of my arrival under my guest profile. I have an email confirmation of this. No communication was arranged with the FedEx mail look, as it turned out. After a number of back and forth with Front Desk Manager I received just one night credit as compensation.
3. My room was not cleaned always properly.
I have got an impression that this OMNI location does not make effort to accommodate special needs of international business travelers like myself. And the communication between various services of the hotel is poor, if not absent.

Recently stayed at Moni in Atlanta to see Elton at State Farm Arena. Great hotel, great staff and restaurants. Most of all, a 3 minute walk through a connected mall to the State Farm Arena. 5 Stars (and I've stayed at others in Vegas who pretend to be 5 stars - but are not). This is it for this area.

A beautiful hotel in a great location. I did not like that I checked into the North Tower if you are staying in the south tower as it is a bit of a trek but I understand that there is not much that they can do about it.

People at the front desk were extremely nice and helpful. The room was clean and neat, and the AC was great. Only problem was the valet service was pretty slow and the building can be confusing. But it's a really really great hotel right in the middle of downtown Atlanta

I drove into the back garage/parking area when I pulled into the hotel. A valet man waved me over to him. I asked him if valet was covered with my stay and he said yes. So, i went ahead and let him park my car. When i went to checkout, the man at the counter told me there was a $45 valet fee. I let him know that i was told there was no charge. He said there was nothing he could do about it. I spoke to 2 other people. They also said they could do nothing. I later emailed customer service and have not heard back from them a week later. I was not happy with my experience there :-(

The room itself want anything particularly special, although it was definitely nice... But the view of Centennial park was amazing. Staff was very friendly and nice. My one big gripe is that the ONLY parking option is a $35 per day valet parking package. If you don't want valet parking you have to park at someone else's deck and pay their rate. Personally I think that's unreasonable.

Very comfortable and top notch hotel. The rooms are very clean, and the staff is always courteous and helpful. I think it's one of the best downtown Atlanta hotels. It's conveniently located near all major downtown locations. The Prime Meridian Restaurant is great and the bar is better!!!

This hotel isn't that bad but there is a lot of upgrades they need to consider doing. They also should put a microwave in the rooms to make is more convenient for those with smaller children.

Great hotel, horrible getting in and out! I picked the hotel because of its proximity to the venue. The valet parking, which they require, is very poorly run and expensive. It took 15 minutes to drop off the car, no one came to get the keys, after we were directed where to park. Even worse was the 45 minutes it took to get the car back after check out. For this they charge $45 per night!

Service is poor. Hotel lost power for a day and night. They coped fairly well with it but it was obviously massively inconvenient and no compensation was offered.

Nice building close to many downtown restaurants. Room are nice, great water pressure. The Hot water is way too hot. I almost scolded my hands washing them. Also the elevators are not convenient. The quest room elevators did not stop on the second or third floors which meant to get to the conference center you had to go to the first floor then go up the escalator to get there.

Hotel needs help defending against the homeless people the aromas of whose urine and cigarettes smoke penetrate the air at every entrance. Sad how a formerly great hotel has gone to ashes as a result.

We booked this hotel completely by mistake! What a pleasure it was to stay here! The rooms were beautiful and have a great view as the hotel is located right in the heart of downtown. The location was safe, and we were surrounded by things to do. We walked out the front door of our hotel and we're in Olympic park! The hotel is connected to the CNN center and there are more dining options than you can imagine and the prices are great. The hotel is a 2 block walk from the Georgia Aquarium, 1 block from the Mercedes Benz Super Dome, 1 block from the Civil Rights Museum, next door to the sports museum, connected to the CNN center and directly across from the entrance of the Bicentennial Olympic Park. The hotel is surrounded by more dining and activities than you could possibly do in one trip. Heads up: the parking is $50.00 a night at the hotel and they only offer valet. We went with this option because it was secure and we had 24 hr access to our vehicle. Also, check often for rate specials on rooms as they often offer deals!

Dated hotel with failing escalators and elevators but they still charge $265 a night. They were doing construction on a couple of the bars which is ok but the Jack hammers at 6:30AM did not make for a good experience on my sleep in day. Both keys quit working after the first night telling me they miss programmed. Two of my colleagues had unusable irons one had no ironing board and ended up using mine.
Hotel has a great location if your here for the convention center but that's all they have going for them.

Extremely disappointed and dismayed!! Yesterday I took on a last minute job to provide childcare as it is an on call part time job at the Omni Hotel downtown Atlanta. I was in the lobby waiting on my client to meet me and needed somewhere to sit. There is a large International medical conference going on. I saw an empty seat near about 4 or 5 other white men. I set down. I was not talking nor on the phone to anyone waiting for my clients call or text. I suddenly am approached by security the kind with the earpiece hanging from his ear as he says" I am sorry to ask but we have to ask everyone are you a guest here?" I said no I am waiting on my client to provide childcare and he goes to question whose the client. I finally asked "So why I am being profiled?" The client called at the exact time with security in front of me he was actually standing only a few feet away. When I finally paid attention to my surroundings I notice I was the only black person in the entire lobby that was not an employee. I had my laptop bag and another small neatly packed bag. With my work clothes still on I certainly did not appear homeless. My clients were also offended as the husband was Chinese and the wife is Italian. The Omni Lobby had a bar in it and it is public. Anyone can frequent any hotel as a guest staying there or visiting someone there so why was I singled out? What should I do? Today I contacted the security manager to file a complaint and he rolled back the footage. He in fact witnessed what I experienced and verified he did not authorize the officer to question me and did not see any need for that. He asked the officer why did he questioned me and he replied "she didn't look like a guest." That's It! Only an apology and no reprimands. No executing sensitivity training and better scruitiny training. I think this non sense need to be addressed the Omni Hotel has too big of a reputation to leave it like this

I think this is one of the best hotels to stay in Atlanta. About 19 minutes from Atlanta airport if you use local train transportation. You'll able to see spectacular view of downtown Atlanta. Had very positive experience staying at this hotel during my conference. Lots of sightseeing within few minutes of walking distance: CNN headquarters, Statefarm basketball stadium, Mercedes Benz football stadium. Hotel has big food court in the first floor.

Beautiful! Rooms are inexpensive and they had a great view, at least mine did. The only thing there is the parking, its about 40 a day, and also.. no breakfast included. (Which makes the stay expensier. They do have an amazing breakfast buffet but its $23 per person!!! (I know!!)

When you say Omni, I have certain expectations, and those expectations were not met. The staff was friendly, but that only goes so far. When I got to the room around 4 in the afternoon, the housekeeping carts where left outside of my room. They were still there when I got back to the hotel around 9pm, and still there in the morning around 7:30am. There was a peanut shell on the floor (looked like the room was quickly vacuumed), the tub was leaking (I did not report this), and residue on the glasses in the bathroom. During the 3rd night of my stay, there was hammer drilling associated with the renovation work happening at the hotel. There was no notice, and i reported this at 12:30am and it was still going at 1:00am (i was so exhausted the noise stopped bothering me at a certain point). Noticed on the last day the phone that they used a sharpie to write the room number (this just looked tacky).
So when you say Omni Hotel, I have a certain expectation. This was not it and was so disappointed. Four Diamond Hotel Rating - I think someone is lying to the public.
Also, checkout is at 11am even thought the literature in the room states noon.

I'm not happy. I just checked in tonight and got a room with a terrible view. The front desk was very courteous, and they said they would move me to another room. They ended up moving me from the 9th floor to the 13th floor with the same view!!!! I tried to cancel my succeeding nights, but I can't, I'm stuck here for two nights. The rooms are smelly, outdated, and not in an ideal location. The staff are very friendly, but the hotel is not a good venue for your stay.
