Where to begin? The staff wasn't accommodating and made even the most minimal request seem like an incredible inconvenience. I understand we all have our days, but if 95% of your staff is having "one of those days" on a daily basis at your organization, you have a management and employee engagement issue. We had a housekeeper come into our room (with the 'Do Not Disturb' sign placed) to "check" if we were checking out, WITHOUT KNOCKING FIRST, who then proceeded to argue with my husband about why it was inappropriate that she entered without knocking... thankfully we were clothed. Nearly every linen (towels, sheets, robes) in the room had hair in/on it that was there upon arrival. The entire hotel is an organizational mess that's far too complicated to navigate when you have staff that doesn't want to help. The only good comment about this hotel after staying 3 nights is that their HVAC tech was very informative and courteous. I didn't catch his name but I wish I had. Because, oh yeah, the AC in our room didn't work the whole first night and we were told a tech would be sent and never was...until we called back, twice. Something as simple as asking for a spare blanket (the HVAC guy was good!) from the desk and they send up a pillow. To say this is an 'upscale' or 'high-end' or 'luxury' hotel is a gross overstatement. I'm not new to OMNI hotels, but this experience was new to me.
Rooms were clean but needed updating. Staff was nice. Pool area and spa needs monitoring as sauna did not work and hot tub was not warm. Easy access to CNN
Very nice hotel with awesome views, very polite staff, nice restaurants to visit, the CNN center is awesome! All around great atmosphere I give this trip five stars
Big hotel with poor slow service. Good location for the convention center.
Perfect location for downtown. Nice rooms and good staff. Become select guest and get the perks.
Lovely place to go and stay. It act as landmark for the place.
I would rather stay in the Bates Motel than spend another night in this place. The wallpaper is peeling off the walls in my bathroom, the rugs are stained, the decor is hideous, and my AC unit is so loud that it is shaking my walls at 4 AM and keeping me up all night. This is the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel.
This place is under construction. Ghost town. Better off in the suburbs of Atlanta.
Staff was friendly, building was in the perfect spot, and the price was right. Would definitely stay again. Room was nice but not over the top. Definitely a solid option when you stay in downtown ATL.
Hotel is lovely. Room in the South Tower with an inside view. Having a balcony with chairs is a nice feature. Valet parking technology didn't work between the North and South towers so had a really long wait for vehicle.
It is a good place next to the Olympic Park and next to CNN.
I would say this is real awesome hotel. The only bad is they charge every separate item like WiFi or water
Great location, friendly staff, and for the most part a clean room even for my 2yr. I would definitely stay again. Downsize, for the amount of guest a pool in each tower would have been nice.
Depending on if you are in the more recently renovated tower, your stay will be adequate or very good. Some rooms are downright depressing. Others have great views and are extra clean. Surroundings are either tourist traps (north side) or slums(south side and to the west).
Good place for a tour of knowing CNN. Trump needs it probably.
Didn't get the chance to stay at the hotel. Spent time in the food court and state farm arena
You have to use the Valet parking service at the hotel. $35 a day. And it is very slow to get you car.
Worst customer service. Waiter at latitudes charged my card for not only my drinks (one check) but than charged the rest of the tables drinks to my card (another check) with no authorization from me (which Im sure the waiter gave himself a nice tip). It took a week to even get in contact with a manager. The issue is still not resolved at this point.
Atlanta is really putting in the money to make this a destination.
beautiful place attached to state farm arena where my HAWKS play!!
Lovely hotel, any complaints I may have had weren't the hotel's fault and were really only the fault of the event I was staying for. Guest Rooms are spacious, with the bathrooms being bigger than I'm used to. All the staff were the absolute kindest and helpful.
I recently attended a work meeting at the Omni, as usual, they do not disappoint. The Omni's level of service is top notch. The food we had for lunch was not the best I've had from an Omni hotel, but still better than most. I would certainly return to have a meeting at the Omni some time soon.
Great location, rooms clean, tv didn t work when we arrived but was quickly fixed by maintenance. Hotel age is showing a little. Friendly staff for the most part. Front desk did not explain checkout time or any details about the hotel.
I did have a hard time parking under the soft parking no parking available had to drive around for an hour two times
Room price was fair. City view was exceptional. Staff friendliness and service was good. Room service was speedy yet very over priced for average quality food. In the morning we woke up to cleaners slamming doors throughout the hall. You have to pay for internet.
The buffet was fantastic! Very wide variety of delicious food. The sausage was great and reminded me of a kind we used to buy when I was a kid. Will return!
The in room water is kind of expensive, and no free Wi-Fi but nice over all.
Never again, hotel was dated at least the south tower. Room smelled like must, and carpet was very nasty! Never will I stay here EVER AGAIN!
Not impressed. Rooms weren t clean and sheets were not changed or clean. My sheets had stains.
Excellent experience! The staff at the Omni did an amazing job handling the extremely busy weekend we were a part of. It is in a very walkable area of town, too, which was great for getting to restaurants and checking out Centennial Park.
Came for a national conference and really love it. Still going strong
Worst experience we ve ever had. The only good thing was the front desk personnel. They were extremely kind and understanding.
We arrived on September 8th around 3-4 pm after a long day visiting the aquarium with our two small children. We were unaware of how expensive the valet service was, and honestly wouldn t have been such a giant problem, had it not taken almost 30 Minutes each time to get out vehicle! Anyways, We checked in and immediately went to our room. South Side 413 was our room. It was okay, not really clean but something I could deal with. We left to go get clothes for our kids and was gone for maybe 3-4 hours, came back and as soon as we opened our door (room 413 South Tower) we were greeted with the whole entire room smelling of marijuana. So bad that my two year old started crying and got in the closet saying it stink . We spoke with the front desk, they transferred us to room 980 on the north tower. It was better than the first room, considering it didn t smell of marijuana. However, the cleanliness was the issue. There was standing dirty water in the shower, dust caked on the lamps and when We took our shoes off to walk from the door to our bed, the bottom of our feet were filthy! Our two year old constantly kept crying asking to go home after the experience. So we did. At 10:00 at night. As we were walking to check out, another guest with a small child came up to us to ask if we were staying because they found bedbugs in there room. We spoke with the front desk and a manager (I believe her name was Shondra, but i can't remember) said that she would refund our money but it hasn t happened yet so we shall see. Worst experience ever and such a disappointment, we thought this was a very nice hotel given the price!
If you arent from here, this is a great tourist spot and right next to Phillips Areana
Conference rooms were inconsistent. Some hot and others too cold. Restrooms seemed like an afterthought and need a update. Carpets are old and uneven everywhere.
Location is perfect if you need easy access to the GWCC. North tower has better rooms
This hotel did not meet my expectations at all!!! Paper was on the floor throughout the hotel, the shower curtain was dirty , parking was $45 , waiting at least 10 minutes for valet to bring our car , valet handed us our car keys without asking to see our ticket . Overall I was just disappointed!!
I wouldn t recommend this hotel !!
Loved this hotel! The view was amazing during the stay for Bon Jovi...so was the room service.
Great experience at the Omni hotel. The employees are very friendly and helpful with any issues I had.
Was only there for lunch with a friend but it was nice. Good service.
Didn't stay at the hotel so I can't speak for the rooms and the hospitality in that area but my experience with events side of the house and meeting rooms was interesting. The staff are ok, some we're good, others a bit odd socially. In general I didn't like the layout of the facility. Meeting rooms were pretty crammed and not set up wisely, meaning the table layouts were placed so closely together you could've sit down without bumping your neighbor. Also odd the bathroom are only located on certain floors (in the meeting room facilities)
I attended a sales conference here, but the parking is a PITA.
I was there for Imaging USA and was very disappointed. The cost far outweighed the value of these simple and aging rooms. Our bathroom ceiling was falling apart and yet we had to insert a key every time we used the elevator - which would have been fine except we had to get new keys every day we were there due to one or all of them not working.
Also, we split the room four ways - divide the room price by four (seems simple right?) yet AFTER we all checked out, 3 out of 4 of us were charged 400-700$ for no reason, leaving us with overdrawn accounts and calling our banks to cancel charges since none of us authorized anything but the original fees we paid upon checkout. My bank alone was charged twice for 489$. When we called to get them to remove the charges they said 'we don't see any charges to your card for this amount' even though they clearly charged the card multiple times.
I would never stay here again. The two stars is for the two or three employees who did have great customer service.
Nice hotel in a great location. The staff were super friendly and the beds very comfy. I loved the view of Centennial Olympic Park from my bedroom. Walking distance to the Coca-Cola museum and Civil Rights museum and next door to CNN Center. So convenient.
Everything was quite nice. The view from our room was epic. The walls are a bit thin as far as being soundproof and we heard neighbors arguing but everything else was fantastic.
Staff at the Omni were very courteous and helpful. The rooms were spacious and tidy. The location was right next to the Georgia Congress Center and CNN. A large food court with many choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner made my work stay ideal. Would definitely recommend and be back.
I was pleasantly surprised with the update of the place. It looks like they reworked the food court with less restaurants but better restaurants.
I ordered a two night stay at the Omni at CNN. I ended up feeling like Goldie Locke minus the three bears. The first woman at the desk wasn t very welcoming. The first room was extremely claustrophobic. It was small and had a large window that faced the inside of CNN it felt like I was a store front display. I went to the desk and asked a second woman to help me switch rooms. After making me feel like a nuisance she changes me to a second room. This room had a carpet with a huge snag, the carpet had ripples throughout the room and the tub was dingy. I went back to the desk and apologized in advance to the attendant but explanined that the cleanliness of the second room was not up to par. She was extremely helpful, apologized and immediately had me moved to the newer North Tower on the top 28th floor. The room was much larger and extremely clean. I ended up enjoying the rest of my two night stay.
Kathy, who I met while she was painting at the front entrance was the most polite and humble person I have met in a long time. She is an awesome employee. Please recognize her!
Location was great. Walking distance to main atlanta attractions. Everyone provided great customer service. The beds and pillows were so comfortable! Made me not want to explore Atlanta at all. My standard deluxe room in the north (new) tower was clean and had a great view. I also had a fridge and complimentary coffee! The only thing I didn't really like was that the microwave was in the south tower. It felt inconvenient. Wish there was a microwave on our floor next to the ice machine at least. Or maybe on every other floor. But other than that, my stay has been great. Will definitely come back again.
Great hotel, great experience! Valet parking is pricey, but combined with my hotel cost, was still cheaper than other area hotels. I would stay here again!
I always enjoy the Omni Hotel at the CNN Center. The customer service was amazing!
Neat location that's about it. Hotel room was older. Ironing board was half size and no padding - sheet and metal. Note about hanging towels if you want to conserve water. No hooks anywhere in the room to hang the towel, small thing but weird. This hotel is huge, you've got to take 2 elevators and walk WAY across the main lobby to get to the gym.
OMG! This place is sooooo frickin relaxing and nice! I love how it's attached to the CNN building.
Everyone is so friendly! The valet is great and the location of the hotel tops everything. Definitely will be back!
Had a fantastic stay. After a long day at the festival the room service was delicious and was delivered quickly. Room was very nice and what you would expect from a hotel of this level. Located close to the transit station and number of eating establishments around we did not move our vehicle once we parked.
It's $45 to park your car for guests.... Complete ripoff. Room was not near as clean as you would expect from a hotel as expensive as it is.
Very nice hotel. Parking fee is CRAZY. Valet wait service is ridiculous! But overall a nice place
Fairly clean rooms. Really friendly and helpful staff. Quite Abit of loud construction going on during my stay.
Pretty good hotel for the price. I can't complain. The room was very cozy and he hotel has all the amenities you can ever want from a hotel. I stayed here because of a business trip, and was more than satisfied - Ansel Ponce Diama
Very clean, friendly staff, beautiful rooms. Love my stay every time I stay at the Omni
This hotel lobby is disgusting. Broken cabinets in the bar area locked with chains. The restaurants furniture also very dated. I love Omni but would NOT recommend the Atlanta location.
