Always a good experience here. The location is central to everything which is very convenient. The only real parking option is to let the valet do it (city parking). Lobby bar is small but fun. Located adjacent to a multi story shopping district with restaurants and bars. Noise can be an issue, but they provide white noise machines upon request. I recommend getting a room above the third floor (which overlooks the pool) if you want some peace and quiet.

This hotel was very old and dated. The staff was great. This hotel is definitely in need of a major remodel ASAP. The location was great, but next time I will spend the extra money to take my business elsewhere to the 5 star hotel across the street.

Horrible stay at the Charlotte location. Never will I stay here again. My children and I stayed the weekend here, as we were leaving out to head to a family event, we noticed the entire hotel was evacuated. There had been a fire on the lower level and we were not notified. No alarm in the rooms went off or anything. So this could have went left fast. They apologized for the alarms not working and this was it. Smh. Never again will I put my children at risk like that.

I recently stayed in the Omni while attending Elton John. We are not from Charlotte. It took us over an hour circling around all the construction to finally end up going through cones and two wheeling into the exit of the hotel to finally arrive. We were using an online map, but it couldn t correctly get us to the hotel. It would have been lovely if the hotel had a message when booking to alert travelers to add a lot of time for arrival. We weren t able to eat dinner prior to concert. Our room had carpet pulling up and our shower curtain was dirty. The gentleman working the front desk did well trying to de-escalate me and how upset I was that it took forever to try to find the hotel with all the construction, closed streets, detours and orange cones.....

With this being said, the beds were comfortable and security was good. Valet parking was convenient. The bar in the lobby was just right and had plenty of room. I do wish we had more time to relax there before concert.

Hated this place. Construction started about 530 in the morning waking me up. The reviews say four stars, do not believe them. The room is old and needs serious repair with some modern amenities. No coffee maker in the room, and the drinks at the bar were so bad that they actually refunded our money. The bartender actually tried to give me a martini on the rocks. Straight vodka.

Gorgeous rooms with a great views of the city. Rooms were equipped with steamer, iron, and keurig. Loved having a couch in the room with a great view. Everyone we came in to contact with went above and beyond to make sure our stay was fantastic.

My wife and I stayed here this passed weekend for our anniversary and it was great. Check in and check out was very easy we even called on the day of check out and asked for a later check out and they were very accommodating. The room was very clean and modern. Valet parking was very convenient. I saw some guest complained of noise from the local bars but that is kind of expected provided the location however there is quite kits in the rooms which include eye masks and ear plugs so if you think the noise or light may be an issue I d recommend using the provided mask and plugs. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel. We leave near Charlotte so we ve already decided this will be our go to stay-cation hotel.

The Omni was easily located off of 77. It was a little crowded to get to, since the epicentre and other attractions are nearby. The event space was very nice and the staff very friendly. Parking for 2.5 hours was $18.

The location is great - it's downtown and just one block from the light rail. Rooms are very clean and the staff are respectful. The food at the restaurant in the lobby is delicious, and there is a Walgreens and a Starbucks. My only complaints are that the elevators are confusing (valet level is ML, the lobby is L, the ground level with Walgreens, Starbucks, etc is not elevator accessible) and the wifi was absurdly slow for a hotel this nice.

Only giving them one star because I had to rate it, HORRIBLE PLACE TO STAY !!! The hotel is very costly, for what I paid i expected much more and the rooms are outdated for what they cost. They nickle and dime their guest for everything they can, stayed there for one random weekend, nothing major going on, paid almost $300 for them to tell me parking was $18/day, but to feel free to park elsewhere but not to come back to them once the car was towed. Wi-fi cost $10 a day to use and they try to swindle you into paying for unnecessary things such as the $17 bottle of water they have waiting for you once you enter the room. And for $300 for 2 nights we find out the rooms don't come with microwaves, you have to wait to see if someone has turned on in, so if you want hot food they suggest you call their ridiculously overpriced bar downstairs. Go to the holiday inn express across the street, or anywhere else for that matter ! Never will I come back !

Getting to the hotel is a hassle with the road construction and all the one-way streets. Check-in was at 3:30. We arrived at 5pm and the room was still not available until after 6pm. We were seeing a Cirque du Soleil show at 7pm. We didn't get to freshen up. The restaurant food was good during the week but the weekend breakfast was atrocious. Couldn't even eat it. The front desk people were very nice and gave a food credit. No Internet for the first two days. Not their fault, the construction workers cut he line. Still aggravating. The room was very nice. I'd actually give the "room" a 4.

The hotel is lovely and amenities are great, however there was tons of construction going on during my stay that made it hard to access the hotel. I also was required to pay for parking that I felt should be free when staying. Lastly the room I was in was horribly lit. You could barely see yourself in the bathroom and it made it impossible to do makeup. Despite those problems, the staff is amazing and super friendly, the bed was so comfortable I didnt want to wake up the next morning, and the hotel was within walking distance of everything.

The rooms are all very nice and the beds comfortable, so that was good. I am one of those that enjoys jumping in the pool, and they have a nice one, that is set for everyone. The deep end is well marked and roped off, so it is excellent for swimming and diving. I truly enjoyed my stay.

I stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms and found many things that were not the best. The bathroom light switch is hidden behind the bathroom door and hard to get at. The power plugs at the desk are inconveniently placed to plug in a laptop. The automatic curtain system only opens or closes the curtains fully, no partially open and closed is possible. The water pressure in the shower was fairly low, and the water did not get hot even when the cold was fully turned off. Also, whenever I tried calling the Front Desk, it gave only a busy signal. I had to call from my cellphone.

Attended a Saturday morning event. Parking not clearly labeled, and only guest pricing was posted (beware, self-park is an additional $10 if not a hotel guest). Also, payment process is not clearly/accurately explained. Save yourself some money and park about 3 blocks away for about 1/4 the cost.
Several restaurants on ground level, but only two open at noon on a Saturday.

Complimentary internet is useless. WiFi signal is too weak to be functional. Staff was numb to any concerns I had regarding this as well as other problems I had. There was construction going on on the floor above me. When I called staff they showed no compassion or consideration about the problem. It was a constant buzzing going on, so loud I couldn't hear the TV. Their answer was "it will be going on till 5 and there's nothing we can do about that, you could try talking to front desk about transferring rooms". If that was the case why would you put anybody in this room? Room was fine but the staff need serious work on customer service. Not a friendly greeting or hospitality overall. Front desk sounded annoyed at me checking in or asking questions. Came here for a conference, will opt out of my next stay here.

My wife reserved a king room. Got confirmation of a king room. Arrived at the hotel to find they had overbooked and we wound up with two queen beds. No prior notification. They say they 'upgraded' us, but we already had a deluxe king reserved.

Room is okay. Nothing particularly special, for an 'upgrade'. Not even a walk-in shower--just a plain-jane tub.

So, yeah. We got hosed.

Thanks bunches, Omni. We'll go to aLoft next time.

Very nice property. Friendly staff. Nice rooms that are well appointed. Excellent towels and comfortable beds. Fun bar but pricey...draft domestic beer is $12 a glass. Lobby is connected to several shops with underground access to Bank of America. Forgot to mention... Thursday night bangs out the music which bangs right into your room. Add the neon lights and you have a virtual disco in your room. Be ready for that. Adjusted my review from 5 to 4 stars for that. Don't plan on going to sleep early.

The hotel had a weird smell. Very poor customer service. The rooms are super small. Restroom area is small and very compacted. We had to wait hours for wash clothes and towels.

The guy cane with towels and said they didn t have any washcloths.

After the second knock on the door, they brought them.

We requested soap, that never did come, so we had to step out to buy some.

Our 2 day stay turned into a 1 day stay. We went over to the Marriott, which was much cleaner and nicer.

We stayed for a showing of Hamilton and loved the convenience of the overstreet walkways to get us to our car and to the show. Be warned that it is very loud at night in this part of Charlotte and earplugs will be necessary to sleep earlier than 2 am.

It was a nice hotel although nothing spectacular for the price and the mandatory valet that we had to pay. But valet, the bell service, housekeeping and other staff were very accommodating and friendly! We stayed for 3 days and the hotel doesn't provide anything complimentary for the price of the hotel(a water, a cookie, a bagel etc). Also no microwaves in the hotel at all.

Beautiful hotel over a very convenient mall underneath the hotel. Convenient to everything downtown in Charlotte. Friendly and accommodating staff. Excellent breakfast buffet (NOT free). Construction underway when we were there in October 2017 made it extremely difficult to access, but hopefully will be resolved soon.

It's a mixed bag. Everything looks nice, but the rooms have paper thin walls, so all you hear all night long are other people going in and out of their rooms. The lighting in the rooms is only task lighting and the bathroom lighting is way too dim

Nice room and the hotel was well taken care of. Service and staff were accommodating and genuine!
Only drawback, which is a big one, is that you will hear the bass from the local clubs until they close at 2 in the morning. So if you're a light sleeper, this isn't going to work. The hotel does provide ear plugs and is aware of the issue.

It s 12:47am, Saturday night, and there is a party in the Plaza. There is no insulation in this hotel so I can hear everything. I can hear the words to the songs and the people screaming. Do not stay here. An added bonus is that you either pay Valet $33 or pay $50 for parking. The choice is yours. We had to sign a form saying we d be quiet. Ha! The only way we would ever consider coming back here is if someone paid us and we had noise cancelling headphones to drown out the noise. Sweet dreams!

Hotel was clean and services were prompt and effecient. Rooms feel a bit dated and have a slightly stale odor. Plenty of power outlets for chargers, but no dedicated USB outlets if you forget your charger. Elevator access to room floors require a room key.

Amazing rooftop pool and outdoor setup. Pool was a packed house with the World Cup on the big screen. DJ played house music after 5pm. Hotel staff was friendly. Valet with in and out privileges is only option for parking. At $27/day this is a negative in my opinion. After reading negative reviews about unrenovated rooms I refused to accept placement in one. This forced me to give up my king bed for 2 queens in a renovated room on the 10th floor. Hesitant at first, but the room was large and I was satisfied with the choice. Beware. Noise from the EpiCentre is no joke. Bass from the music went until 2am on the dot. My gf and I weren't bothered by it since we are night owls anyway. I would definitely stay here again.

I greatly enjoyed my Omni Hotel stay, the staff was extremely attentive and friendly. My wife and I had the romance remembered package and it was worth the cost. They exchanged the champagne for chocolate covered strawberries without change in cost, and the breakfast was amazing! Hopefully my wife and I can go again!

Loved this hotel, everything is in walking distance, service is fantastic!!!! Justin at the front desk will help you with anything that you need with a huge smile on his face. We discovered this hotel chain by chance in Orlando FL. The Omni resort in there is amazing!! We are in a road trip from South Florida and our next stay will be at the Omni Hotel in Washington DC :)

My wife and I received a gift card from friends who have frequented the Omni Charlotte Hotel so we decided to splurge a little bit for our first Anniversary. We decided to go with the Love and Luxury Package - it was wonderful.

When we arrived, the valet was prompt and efficient. We went up to the Lobby and the individual at the desk was very helpful. I can't remember her name or I'd give her a shout out here. She explained everything very well and asked what time we should have our amenities delivered to the suite.

The Suite was beautiful with a great view of Uptown Charlotte. Our package came with 2 robes, 2 small champagne bottles, some strawberries (chocolate covered!!!!) and when we told them it was our anniversary, they threw in a complimentary dessert!

To summarize: Our stay was great and we will absolutely come back to the Omni Charlotte Hotel in the future for special occasions.

I liked the hotel, but the pool was closed after I had just bought 3 swimsuits for the kids that wanted to swim. It was very disappointing to say the least. Also, I had to pay for parking $27 at the hotel I was staying in. This was a first for me and am still trying to understand why they charge. Ok, this outside pool area closes way too early because we wanted to hang out on the rooftop even if the pool was closed. Also, we wanted to have our breakfast on the rooftop and it didn t open till 12. Our stay was not what we had expected for over a $200.00 night and no pool access. We will not be staying here again.
