Omni Charlotte Hotel Review

I came here for the pool, after 5pm they open the rooftop pool to the public, they have a great bar and a DJ. The DJ plays a variety of music and it's cool. Was hoping for a bit more hip hop but I get it. The pool was nice, not a very large pool but it goes down to 8 feet, most ppl just sit around the edge of the pool and drink. Great drinks too by the way, price is about as much as any other rooftop bar in Charlotte. I'm definitely returning.

The Omni is one of the better hotels in Uptown Charlotte for meetings. The facility is a classic modern building connected to the overstreet so you can get a variety of places. Good ballrooms and polite service help.

Parking is not cheap, but there are streetcar stations closeby.

I was accused of something I didnt do.
My wife and i checked in at 1om and took at nap. We were awaken by the sound of loud music and people talking loud. We got up and went to get food and a drink from World Pd Beer. When we got back to the hotel we needed another key. They told us st the front desk they we been in our room and we were so loud that they had to refund the people on our floor tjielr moe y for our stay . After trying to explain that we havent been in the room and them saying it had to be us, we decided we will check out in the morning. If we could leave right now we would . Just to be all the way honest....me and my wife are black and the people that are in the anointing room are white.

The tremendous amenities available to guests and access to the different restaurants were unbelievable.

Great location. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very clean and pool area and large screen tv is a great area to hang out. Valet was convenient and fast. Dog friendly!!! Loved this place. Noise at night can be a little loud but the location and walking distance to everything makes it a great place to stay.

Not nearly nice enough for what you're obstinately getting. Hate no parking other than valet. Simply to pretentious.

both days that my family was there the pool was closed. there isn t anything to do in charlotte for ages 0-16. the pool was supposed to be the best part of our small trip but apparently the pool is closed all day every monday. they said it was bc of cleaning however cleaning doesn t take a full 15 hours. they said that there is a robot in the hotel pool but you can swim with a small robot in the pool... intact most hotels allow you to. also there was no one even around the pool the whole day. the rooms where ok but i felt itchy. the hotel looked nice but i was extremely ticked.

Very nice hotel, extremely polite and courteous staff. Rooms have been recently remodeled and we're very nice. One minor complaint on the weekends directly across the street there are several outdoor music venues that can be quite loud. On the other hand it's a short walk two lots of interesting eating places and music venues. Really enjoyed the stay.

Omni Hotel was fantastic. We were greeted by very nice valets and people very happy to take our bags to our room. Unfortunately we only stayed one night but hopefully in the future I'll be able to stay a few nights.

This hotel is upscale. You can get to the epicenter without going outside. It's right in the heart of Charlotte.

The Omni Hotel went above and beyond. I planned a stay-cation for my wife's birthday and planned to surprise her with a new engagement ring that she deserves! When booking online I made a note that it was being booked for a special night. Daryl and Maria called and offered to make it as special as they could and asked what they could do! I asked how much this would cost and they proceeded to tell me it was on them! Which is extremely rare these days! When we checked in and got to the room they had upgraded us to a suite with amazing views and had roses, robes in a heart shape on the bed and within minutes of checking in a bottle of champagne and chocolates were delivered to our room! My wife was shocked and couldn't believe it! Thanks to Daryl and Maria and the Omni hotel for making the night special! I would definitely recommend staying at the Omni hotel and we'll definitely be back as it was a great experience! Everything from the staff to the rooms to the look/feel of the hotel was amazing!

The stay was good enjoyed everything but the mini bar just wasn't cold enough for the beer. But i will stay there my next trip.

The amenities are nice, and the location is in reasonable distance to plenty of dining opportunities, as well as the Charlotte Convention Center. For some crazy reason, though, they still think it's reasonable to charge $10/day for WiFi.

There was misinformation in the elevator... Why can't a fancy hotel change a sign in an elevator???

So much construction. For the price of the rooms, I would have expected better quality. My room was very humid and run down. Even with my ac turned to 65, it was warm. I could hear the construction workers outside my room in the 7th floor. It wasn't a horrible stay...I just expected better.

My birthday is July 4th, for my small birthday trip I stayed at the Omni July 3-5. I was pleasantly surprised to see a bag containing seemingly sanitized pen, pad and remote. Then I found a stain in the carpet that resembled puke. Then I found a whole cookie under my bed. How could someone thoroughly cleaning miss this? Luckily I brought my disinfectant that made my stay possible. Needless to say I was disappointed. I expected more from a 4 star hotel. Other than that the hospitality of the staff was great.

Within walking distance of downtown, very nice rooms, has downstairs Starbucksand other shops.

Great place. Just right next to where our event was.

The service at the Omni was impeccable! Every member of the staff that I spoke to went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable.

My stay was very good. The staff are all very friendly and approachable, the elevator wait could be a tad long but was understandable given my being on the 11th floor, and the food was spectacular.

Use the valet to park very expensive to park yourself

Very nice hotel in all of the outside areas. The room was similar to something you would get at a Red Roof Inn though. I was a bit disappointed in that aspect.

Attended a social event here in the Ballroom. Nice area, restrooms just steps away from doors, nice social area outside the ballroom in a lobby like area (note this is nite the Looby for the hotel but am unsure what to call it. If you need to step away there is a nice bar and restaurant between the hotel check-in and ballroom. Depending on the time your just steps away from the Epicenter through an enclosed skywalk. If very late in evening this gets closed but you can return to hotel by street level access.

Amazing hotel and staff, however we were not informed of the construction going on in the hotel, remodeling or what have you, noise was annoying

In Charlotte for a football game, the Omni Charlotte was a great hotel in the perfect location.

Very clean, service was great. The beds are the best. We really liked the fact that you could go to other stores with our going out of the hotel. Would definitely go back there.

we took pictures of how disgusting the room looked. There was a cockroach wing, not in a corner, but in an obvious position on the middle of the floor. The chair in the room was extremely dirty and stained. I stayed at the Westin just 2 weeks before and the Omni couldn't even hold a candle to that place. I have no idea why they are an expensive hotel? We had friends from out of town that just couldn't believe how gross the room was. We only stayed one night. Thank God! The front desk people were snarky and made you feel as if you were being judged, you have to walk by them any time you leave your room. The whole experience was awful.

In the heart of Charlotte NC, excellent structure, privacy and security with refinement and comfort, I recommend for sure.

In no particular order... No Wi'Fi (I don't care really because I don't need it; when you spend that kind of money...)
I billed a movie to the room and when I called to the front desk about how to replay the movie-- He told me that I had it for 24 HR and to just order it again. I GOT BILLED TWICE!
I was billed $1.59 in Taxes on a $6.00 dollar bottle of water in the room (illegal?) Not to mention the accounting staff person told me,, "they get that a lot"!!
Staff in the morning at 6AM was very unfriendly and not too knowledgeable on when the breakfast lounge would be open for serving and didn't offer a cup of coffee (went to Starbucks downstairs; still didn't get a reliable "straight" answer on when they open.. I think 6AM)
Went back up to the room because for some reason room service serves breakfast at 6AM and not the lobby lounge??!! When they brought the food; forgot to add my request of side item and claimed they didn't charge me.. No itemized receipt in my hands...!
If I am not mistaken; I saw four diamonds on the placard in the lobby... Four Diamond my............!

Great location centrally located with easy access to everything uptown. Great valet service and good for kids

Terrible hotel, plain and simple. Charging $27 per day for parking is obscene. I am a paying customer, and on top of a hotel room I have to pay ridiculous prices to bring a car. Further, The lack of professionalism and attention to detail do not help the staff.

I would literally NEVER consider staying here again.

Attended a company-sponsored event. The hotel was clean and quiet, and the staff was very attentive.

Beautiful hotel, well placed downtown in the middle of everything so we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Highly recommend! Oh, and AMAZING pillows!!

My experience was tainted by a fire alarm incident that was poorly handled.

A very nice hotel. It has many restaurants nearby and is in a great location in downtown Charlotte. Definitely recommend this hotel.

The rooms were very clean, staff was exceptionally friendly, and the location was excellent, being right in the heart of downtown, and only about 5 blocks from the convention center. My only complaints were the dated furnishings and finishes of the rooms themselves, and the price, which for me was $270 a night plus daily valet of $27. At these prices, in my opinion, this hotel was not a great value.

Great service valet service was good lovely scenery beautiful top deck pool with jumbo screen dead smack in the center of where it needs to be everything overall was a thumbs up for me

I will definitely be recommending this hotel to others. We visited for my birthday and they helped make it special by putting champagne and a cupcake in the room when we arrived. We had a wonderful experience.

Long in the tooth. Needs renovating. Rooms are comfortable though.

Nice hotel, central location but can be quite loud. Clean rooms with good quality furnishings.

The room was very nice but small. They charge $33 a day for parking. The pool area is beautiful but looks dirty. Room service food was good, especially the salad and ranch dressing, delicious, but very expensive. Overall, not worth the money in my opinion but it was certainly nice.

I've been traveling there for several years. Always a great experience. Everyone is always friendly and helpful! Top notch customer service! I love this place and look forward to it each year!

We had a great overall experience at the hotel during our stay for the concert and the game. The bar food took forever but it was delicious. So, definitely worth the over an hour wait. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel location and views were awesome. The room was very comfortable and had a really relaxing feel to it. The service and the pool were great during my two day sabbatical. The only drawback from my stay was the level of noise that I was not able to cancel-out. I had no issues with the sounds from outside of the hotel being you are in the downtown area. The hallway noise was a major blow to the relaxing feel I had in the room. You could hear everything that was going on outside the room as if you had left the door open. With all of this being said I still will return to this location and I will recommend it to my friends who visit the city.

Paper thin window insulation. There is a rooftop club next door, and it sounds like you are in the club until 2am. It feels like the bass in hitting me in the face. If you like paying a lot for a hotel and getting a free club experience while trying to sleep, this may be the perfect hotel for you.

I went to the Omni for a business event. The conference room was clean and well attended. All of the staff were helpful and professional. The parking was less than desired as the attendant in the deck refused to honor my validated ticket.

Excellent location with great staff. Room was very clean! We will definitely return when we're in town.
