This place is incredible the buildings and grounds are so impressive. Unfortunately we were there during the covid restrictions so a lot of the areas were closed. We were able to have lunch outside in their and sample some of the beers. Our server was excellent she was attentive but not intrusive and the food was super. Just a fyi the pretzel appetizer was huge. If you're in the area this is a must go!

Because I couldn't give less than one star....awful service. Not one staff acknowledgement of many patrons at the sample bar and also at the main bar. My husband is Spanish, racism maybe??? Seems like this place is more interested in sales than service. Or being nightclub like. When we finally got service we got some bartender with the same monotone voice of a robo describing their beers. Very displeased and will never, ever go back or recommend to even an enemy.

If your not use to how restaurants are suppose to function then your blind to what you actually see but to me. This is what I experienced so after walking in and asking for a table I was told it going to be a slight wait not a problem. So me and my guest went off to the bar to have a drink bar tenders were some what rude greeting and asking one person for there drink order and ignoring others in the group the drinks were at least $7 a glass and if you go into there gift shop they have there bottles for around $1.99 more which instantly I thought was a rip off paying $7 a glass sitting there. The hostess came to get us for our table, after seating we were sat right next to the kitchen door again not a problem. So in our group we ordered the chartuerie plater, frites, and the poutine frites for appetizers, very disappointed with the chartuerie plater they give you this huge pretzel with the 4 paper thin slices of 3 different meats 2 tiny types of cheese, I believe I order a plater not a pretzel appetizer. The frites were over priced $8 for fry and it s as if you were cheap out of your order because they didn t make enough for the order. So on the entrees we had Cobb salad, chicken and waffles, and a mac and cheese, again disappointing when anyone orders a Mac and cheese people expect to see creamy velvety Mac and cheese this was as if they pre made it and just scope to order on top of not tasting anything like cheese, chicken and waffles weren t anything special. All I can say this place is just a tourist destination to rip everyone off. On our way out you can see one of the hostess just sitting glued to of course her phone ignoring customers walking by. All I can say as a local go to the and the last time I was at ommegang was 10 years ago before they became this big corporate empire they are now. All I can say the mom and pop places that are open year round for instance council rock brewery your overall experience is more welcoming and hands down the beers are better and food by far has more love and attention put into creating there meals especially the Mac and cheese and if you don t believe the review try both places and figure it out for yourself.

I was lucky enough to get a chance to come to this brewery while in upstate NY! The brewery is beautiful as well as the surrounding area! There s some interesting history to this brewery and I ll save that knowledge for your tour! I enjoyed the brewery tour and just happened to have perfect weather.
I look forward to visiting this brewery again later this year!! Unfortunately I don t have any photos to share from my visit to Ommegang Brewery!

National IPA day! So... One Nirvana IPA please! A small tasting of their double IPA to boot! Frites, with 3 sauces, Spicy Moroccan Hot Sausages, Buffalo Chicken and the friendly staff and waitresses. Reminds me of Belgium ...

One of the most beautiful breweries I ve visited. As soon as you start up the driveway you know that your visiting somewhere special. Then you get to try the beer, which does not disappoint. Everything is delicious and some of the best beers you can find in each of their styles. The gift shop and restaurant are great as well.

It was a bit disappointing. It s become basically a bar and grill. I came here about 8 years and and now it lost it s brewery charm. The outdoor area should ve been the saving grace but was overrun with yellow jackets. Beer is still good though.

Ommegang will always have a special place in my heart; I've been coming here since 2008 when the place looked tremendously different than today. There was just a tiny tasting room in the main building and a handful of folks who simply loved beer. My wife and I had Abbey Ale as the "signature drink" at our wedding. The looks of adoration and jealousy on the faces of other patrons when I wheeled 7 cases of the stuff (and one case of 3 Phils) to the car were priceless. Regardless, and despite the incredible growth the Ommegang has seen over the past decade, they have manage to retain the key elements which make all great breweries and restaurants great: a welcoming, fun, and laid-back atmosphere; a commitment to excellence and quality; inviting employees you'll want to have as friends; and stuff that's just damn delicious!

No review yet, but - I am planning on attending the Belgium festival this weekend. 6 of us will be camping. I have tried countless times to find out more information on specifics on camping - no one has returned my emails or phone messages. We are driving over 5+ hours for this event and going into it blindly. I'd like some direction on camping restrictions BEFORE I get there, also helps with packing. Anyone out there camped here? What advice can you offer?

Amazing selection of beer! There even was food to eat while taste testing. Was unable to speak about the tour. There is a very nice area outside to drink and walk around. Also a very cool shop to get Ommegang merchandise such as coasters, T-shirt s and sweatshirts or even socks. I would highly recommend giving this place a visit if you have a chance. You can even buy beer that you tasted during the day

Husband and I drove 4hrs just to visit. We love their beer and we're excited to see the brewery, unfortunately the tours and restaurant weren't open. Corona has not been kind to many of us so it's understandable. We're excited to visit again when everything goes back to "normal" whatever that looks like.

The property is beautiful, the beer is delicious, the ladies in the shop we're really nice. Stop by for a beer while you're out that way, it's worth it.

A great experience overall - from the tour to the restaurant, visiting Ommegang is a trip I love to repeat. The restaurant has great options, though the wait can be long unless you grab a seat at the bar or plan ahead.

Parking: an adjacent field provides more room for busy days.

Price: Ommegang has perhaps the most expensive growlers I have ever seen - but 100% worth it for sheer awe. The tour and tasting are super cheap and definitely worth your money, even if you only plan to try a few beers.

Drove up from Long Island to see The Lumineers here. Seemed like a win: tickets were very reasonable and I had heard some things about the brewery itself. Show was amazing, sound was great and you can't beat a lawn setting. The beer was a amazing. Prices as expected and not unreasonable, selection was varied enough that everyone in our group found something they loved and the staff/ service was great. The amazing fireworks at the end of the show was the icing in the cake. Would definitely come back for another show

The atmosphere was amazing eating outdoors and the live music with classic rock through the decades to 90's songs made it even better. Hard to decide if the food was best or the beer as it all was fabulous. Service was quick and all the staff had smiles on their faces.

Love, love, LoVe this place. My boyfriend and I always try to stop by on our way to and from the North country. Great beer and atmosphere. Wide open yard and eating area that's kid and I think dog friendly. Definitely suggest trying their meatballs they are to die for.

Party of 9 adults and 4 children. Hostes said we would have to wait to be seated at a table that allowed children, but adults could sit at one of the two available six tops in the bar area. Six adults sat at the table and ordered drinks. A waitress came over and said we could not sit there and we had to move to a private waiting area with our drinks. We mentioned we were told the adults could sit at this table by the hostes. One waitress said we could sit at the high top, one said no, the bartender said it s unfair the children couldn t be serviced at that table, the hostes said as long as there s not a wait it s fine. A different story from the waitresses, hostess, and bartender. The communication between the staff was completely broken. I have supported Ommegang for years and have never felt the need to give any establishment a negative review. Unfortunately this miscommunication between staff of where we could and could not sit was completely unprofessional. Not once did a staff member try to remedy the difference in staff opinions. We have used Ommegang for numerous events and caterings. With their growth - comes less communication and a greater distance between the customer.

Such a great place to see live music. I attended two concerts so far this summer. Prior to these I had never been. I was extremely happy to see the fair price points on food and beer. Staff is super friendly which is also refreshing! We all camped last night and had so much fun. Thank you for sharing your grounds with so many of us every summer.

Note: This isn't a review of the brewery itself, but the event I attended on their grounds.

I was here for the first time in order to attend the Lumineers concert. Unfortunately but understandably, the brewery itself was closed to the public due to the special event. I was really hoping I'd be able to check it out, but that's the way it goes. If there's a special event such as a summer concert, chances are the brewery itself will be closed. They did a courtesy by sending an email a few days prior so it was at least expected.

The event ground is pretty nice. They had souvenir tents, food trucks, and plenty of portable toilets. I never had an issue with waiting for a bathroom where I was located, but during an opening act my wife did wait roughly 45 minutes for additional food. Some of those lines were ridiculously long, but since we were waiting for the gates to open there was no issue getting food quickly upon arrival. Later on as it filled up the lines became crazy. There was definitely lots of space for additional vendors so long as there are more options for them to choose from in Cooperstown.

Prices were reasonable. A beer ticket was $5 and the food I saw ranged from $6-$10. Two pulled pork sandwiches at the one stand were $9 a piece which seems a little pricey until you compare it with average event/concert prices. I've definitely paid more money for food and beer elsewhere.

The beer selection was a little disappointing, but the beer was also good. They had the Witte, Rare Vos, Hopstate Pale Ale, Nirvana IPA, and a cider (possibly 1 more beer). Since the pale and IPA were new beers for me I got those and quite enjoyed them. I was just hoping to have a better selection of their more Belgian-styled brews.

The concert was sold out and the crowd was a practical size. They fit a lot of people in there, but unless you wanted to be in the pit area in front of the stage there was room to move around, sit down on a lawn chair, or sprawl out on a blanket.

All in all, I'd come again for a concert, especially now that I know what to expect. The Lumineers put on an excellent show. Now I just need to come back so I can visit the actual brewery.

The chicken and waffles were THE BEST Samantha hooked us up with the best service we could ask for, and the grill dished out authentic dishes. Their meat&cheese sampler in a pretzle is second only to restaraunts in Munich, Germany. My wife and I ARE coming back for concerts and bringing my parents the next time they are in town. Did I mention their top-notch, award-winning beer?

The food here is phenomenal. I have been to a lot of breweries in NY that have good beer but terrible overpriced food. This is not one of those places. The service is fast and everyone is very nice. The beer is good and the food is absolutely great. I got a chicken sandwich and two beers and it was just about $30. A little pricey but I'm going to reiterate that the food is worth every penny even though it might be a little more costly it's because it's delicious. Oh, and I got the Spicy Cheddar Ale soup, it's the best soup I have ever had, hands down.

The food here is _so_ amazing. We had the chicken and waffles (which i don't know if it's still on the menu, but I think it should be a permanent fixture) and tried a lot of the samples. Great staff and the bartender Jill was super helpful and pleasant. I'm not normally a beer person, but she suggested several beers that ended up being perfect for me. The gift shop was very nice; we had a hard time picking out which souvenirs we wanted because there were so many options! Definitely recommend.

Extremely beautiful place to visit in South Cooperstown. If you love beer like me, this place is heaven. Ommegang is a great place to eat, drink, taste, shop, and just take in the country air while being surrounded by knowledgeable staff and the some of the best beer in the land.

Attended the Old Crow Medicine Show concert and it was awesome! The Beer was fantastic and the food trucks were good not great. The Brewery was closed for the day as usual when they have a concert. It would have been nice to be able to take a brewery tour during the day and then attend the concert but with limited staff I understand resources are stretched. This place is really developing into a destination that is well worth the trip. Next time I plan to camp on the grounds for the concert.

I went to ommegang brewery unexpectedly last week and had a blast. Their belgian style ales are better than most I have tried from brussels. Absolutely spot on! The employees are friendly and informative, and the restaurant is fantastic. If you are going to cooperstown skip the hall of fame and spend your time at the brewery!

Awesome place. Went here on a Cooperstown tour and this is such a nice brewery. Great gift shop, great beer, and a lot of choices. Food is good as well. Ample seating and parking. If you are in the area I recommend stopping by and getting a flight of beers....relax and enjoy

I highly recommend this brewery to everyone. They offer great menu items and the beer selection is out of this world! The food is so delicious, comforting, and tasty. The inside is absolutely gorgeous and the overall atmosphere is so nice and cozzy. The staff is incredibly nice, thoughtful, and courteous! Ommegang Brewery exceeded my expectations. Visit and enjoy. They host events and have a gift shop as well! You will not be disappointed!

Wow, all you need to know is this place has the most amazing food and beer in upstate New York. Order the brewers board. So much food you really don't need something else to go with your beer.

Friendly folks, an interesting tour, and great beers!

When you visit, be sure to sign up for the hourly tour and tasting. The gastropub next to the tasting room is also pretty good, though I felt the fare was a bit too high-brow.
