Every Airport must realise the Fact that 90% of the Travellers are COMMON Man ! ! !
I feel that this Airport was made Only for the Wealthy Folks, as every "Basic Human Need" inside this Airport is VERY VERY EXPENSIVE. Prices are 500% more than Original. If you are Thirsty, you have to Pay 0.700bz instead of 0.100bz for 500ml Bottle Water. This is very UN-FAIR.
The Airport is Fantastic and the Interior designs are an Architectural Marvel.

I lost my phone at this airport at the security check and stood there for around 15 min and didn't find it. I wrote them an email after reaching home but never got a reply from them.

Compare to when last time i visited. The airport has expanded in no time. Now its so huge in area that we need to walk a lot. The interior now is great and the service is fast with more staff on duty. We need to walk a lot from coming out of aeroplane to the immigration office but the place is so beautiful to watch around

Huge space but there s literally no seats to rest for passengers...worse layover experience ever in my life!

Quite good. But not the best system. Information boards can't help a lot but airport staff is always there for help. Lot of items available in duty free. Restrooms are sometimes congested but clean enough. Really nice aesthetics. Oman air always starts boarding so early and it's good. Has a really good system to charge your devices.
Totally had a nice time there.

Very good staffs and Facilities.Lack of Terminals makes it outdated.Still boarding the aircraft via a airport bus.However The new airport will be functional soon.

Good but aging airport.

Poor sleep options for a longer stay. And quite loud at night too.

But nevertheless 4 stars is not a hotel but an airport.

Muscat International Airport terminal with 45 gates, though with reportedly few shops, eateries or other amenities. FREE WiFi is available to pass the time, Free WiFi is available at Muscat Airport for 2 hours. You will need to either A) provide your local mobile phone number in order to receive a password via text or B) go to an Information Desk where they will scan your passport and boarding pass and provide you with a password.
Additional comfort can be found through fee-based access to the airport s first class lounge.
Ablution area, restroom, and female prayer room are available at the airport mosque, located just outside of the Arrivals terminal exit doors. Male and female prayer rooms are available Airside in Departures (A Pier and B Pier) and Landside on the Food Court Level.
Duty-free shopping is available at five air side locations. In addition, a pharmacy, perfume shop, jewelry store are located throughout the airport.
There are also plenty of good couches to stretch out and have a rest.
If you are arriving in Muscat and need local arrangements or help planning a really last minute trip abroad, there are a number of travel agencies with offices at the airport that can probably be of assistance. Marmul Travel, OUA Bahwan, Travel City, Safeer Travel, Majan Travel and Mezoon Travel.

Small but nice. No way to sleep but good cafes and many good options to rent a car cheap on site. Many ways to rent a car!

The taxis are an absolute scam. Avoid them if you can. They charged me 7 rial for a 6 minute ride.

Wife and toddler kid arrived on 21st July 2017 at 01:00 AM... Long waiting queue at immigration as gates not allowed for toddler ... No Porter at the Baggage receiving ... No authorities to request or complain ...Horrible experience

Sure it's a new airport and it's nice, clean and well designed but the management is obviously not capable of running it in an organized fashion. Complete chaos at the security checkpoints and the staff can't even tell you where the next comfort room is.
There are signs at the airport that the managemet wants to make Muskat airport one of the best 20 in the world ... In my opinion they are aiming far to high ... Bottomline is, the airport and the Oman Air airline were very disappointing to me and my family.
Next time we will spend a bit more again and travel with Quatar Air again, all is well there

Well maintained newly opened 2018 airport really appreciate for structure and design but counter staff are lazy take too much time to clear visa and other process and some times they insulting people for small small things, overall it's nice to pass and experience for that airport.

if flying business or first class, do avail the free massage service on offer. The filipino lady there has magical fingers.

One of the best airports that I have been. Everything has been designed fantastically. Much easy to find what I need. The Arab culture is nicely crafted in the designs. Can easily spend several hours inside the airport.

Airport is spacious with food courts and eateries. Airline staff helpful in dealing with emergencies.

The airport looks good inside and out. The staffs require little more training in customer service.

New Muscat airport is a well organized and designed airport. Easy to go around and not complicated. The only down side is the number of available toilet and the size of the toilet

Facility is good, no rush in the Airport, lot of space compared to old airport. First floor is for international arrivals(right side) and domestic arrivals(left side), Third floor for departure. You will get airport taxi from first floor exit and you will get Mwsalath bus to Ruwi and Mabela from ground floor exit.

Easy to navigate, clean airport. They are ready to be open fully in the age of COVID-19.

I had a good experience at Muscat International Airport starting from the flight through Oman airways , very polite & efficient staff , checking & Luggage went very smooth, clean & tidy , Car & hotels rental as well as Free WiFi available .
Duty free full of affordable souvenirs .
Use of latest technology is noticeable.

I loved this airport, very new, big enough yet you don't walk a lot to do check-in and reach the gates, the duty free is nice, food is good, the staff is good.

New airport is very big. Adding buggy cars would help transit passengers saving energy for the forward journey.

The airport is getting a bit old, but it is very clear. It has many shops with a large selection.

Airport is clean and very nice. Three flights are processed at a counter within one hour. There are 3 lines at a switch. Nobody really knows how and when it is man's turn.

Incredibly long long wait at immigration although very few passengers. Staff very poorly trained to handle passengers. One guy sent me for finger printing, another guy send me elsewhere like an Eschers Loop. It is pointless having a very hi tech airport when they cannot organise passport control properly.
Do not take taxi it costs 17 OMR to city. Go to the bus station one floor below before exiting from the arrival hall. It only costs 1 OMR to Ruwi Bus Stop in city centre. 24 hour service 7 days a week.
