Very swanky new airport but the crowd is mostly Blue collar workers who talk loudly in the lounges, put up their dirty shoes on the fancy leather couches, etc. Complaints to the staff who supervise had no effect as they don't want to talk to that class. The Italian staff allotted us terrible non reclining seats after many requests for long haul flights from milan to muscat and then to Hyderabad. The flight was cramped and really tiny with food portions to match! Not worth even with the low fares. Not recommended for anyone.

Not enough staff on passport control. Not enough space. Took an hour to get through from our flight from london

Good airport but long time for take off and taxi in as main runway a long way away from the terminal with all the on going work.

I am so happy to land in Muscat, a new airport and it is nice, modern and spacious. The new airport is fresh and new, most of the shops are open, coffee shops and duty-free options are much more. Counters are well planned and interiors are of international standards. Overall I am very impressed with the airport layout, lounge, seating space, the areas and in fact that they have a majlis too.
For a memorable and comfortable family vacation, there are no better options than Muscat . The white sandy beaches, palm trees, tropical and Khareef weather and the hospitality of the 5 star
Omani resorts is incomparable to any place in the world.

Awesome new airport. I was expecting this. I want OAMC To appreciate as it is a world class design and architecture as compared with Dubai Intl. Walkways etc. Wow! it's awesome because is the super compare to the older airport. and I really love it. thank you. Pls give me a approx. Date that when this would open.

It shows that it is a new airport. All very clean, tidy and new. In my opinion, more restaurants and / or stores would be missing, if you have a long scale it stays small. A 10 for their rest rooms, the best I've seen.

New Airport opened March 18. Really nice. Practical, short distances, pleasant design and atmosphere.

Beautifully built, very functional and utmost care taken for comfort of passengers. Hassle-free security check. Small waiting kiosks with creative seatings.

It's good airport. Every where proper signage, information and staff to give information in nice way. Seating arrangement is ok.

The new airport was the dream project of the Sultanate. It's a wonderful nd well executed piece of art both aesthetically and functionally. The interiors are beautiful and the service provided is also excellent. Keep it up!

In all honesty, a beautiful and remarkable achievement and an elegant airport with all standards

It's only good for 2hours transit or less. The wifi is free but you have to register with your phone number and get code via SMS. Only for 1 time use of 2hours. After that you will have to register another new phone number. It also say "get the login ID and password from Information HelpDesk." Unfortunately there is no helpdesk in the airport at all.
Even at the duty free which has a big sign that says "Free wifi when you show your boarding pass", I was told by the cashier that the wifi is "finished".

There's nothing much to see but relatively a number of choices of food upon check in. There isn't any comfortable to nap on the floor for 2hrs.
