Muscat International Airport (IATA: MCT, ICAO: OOMS) is the main airport in Sultanate of Oman, comes after Salalah Airport in terms of area and size. Muscat Airport is located in the state of Seeb. The airport operates Oman Airport Management Company and Oman Aviation Services Company. Muscat Airport is the main operating hub for Oman Air. The airport is about 30 km away from the old town. These days, the airport is being enlarged, enlarged and modernized and passenger capacity is increasing. The new airport expansion plan extends to 4 years to increase the capacity of the airport to 20 million passengers annually. The plan is already underway and is expected to be completed by the end of 2017. There is a plan to increase capacity to 48 million passengers in the long term. The name of the airport was changed from Seeb International Airport to Muscat International Airport on 1 February 2008.

Small airport, the crowd management was not so great, kind of bus stop specially calling out for transit travel. Though helps people old people. The food court had less option. The waiting lounge area for transit was good they could have kept washrooms close to the lounge. It need be more organised.

Recently opened , bigger 8n space and it's very much noticed the kindness of people around here

Airport is modern and advanced in all respects the speed of entry and exit from it and airport staff and passports summit ethics and speed of work thank you very much them

The MCT Airport is very sophisticated, clean, luxurious, imprinted with history and modernity, it is a pride not for Omanis only, but for all Gulf and Arab

Too much congestion.
No proper working air conditioning.
Too much small airport space handling the amount of passengers.
No enough waiting room, space chair,etc.
Single word Disgusting.

Absolutely the airport is stunning beautiful , good infrastructure, good facilities, in all floor you will find chairs and sofas to relax and to take rest. So if your early you can take a small nap. Different restaurants & hotels from all over the world brands. This airport is quiet big. You can find moving escalator if you can't walk a long distance. Parking is on payment basis. 10 min to 24 hrs.

Airport is beautiful, anyways most females who work there are very lovely and kind and smiley bur I did come across a rude man who works in security section where they check bags before we get in the plane. He was rude to my father so that made me angry, I'm sure no one would let someone get rude to their parents so I had a go at him which I hope he remembers all his life so he doesn't to it to anyone else then he took away mine and my parents passport and then this nice man who works there spoke to him and spoke to me in Nice way and explained to me. I had to be calm to the rude person only for my parents sake so we could leave and reach London as soon as possible. I did want to make a complaint in London but I left everything to God cause he is the one who deals with such people. If it wasn't for that moment I would have visited the place again.

Really a small airport, although facilities are good, duty-free shops are also good and major food chains are here as well, better than most of airports, money exchange available right at the door, visa immigration is also right there upon landing, the only problem might be, the planes not attached to the gates, the buses take the passengers on and off the aircraft to the airport....

Immigration needs to be speeded for Arrivals. 5 minutes, ground run, after landing to disembark.

Limited access to internet, feel bit tensed environment,,,dont see any smiles on faces...feel like people's are scare of something....and very expensive for limited shops

Cant wait till the expansion opens. Friendly staff and quick access.

They check the traffic fines right at the immigration desk when you cant even go back and they accept the fines as cash only. I mean who carries the cash while leaving the countries. People almost missed their flights. Staff very rude.

Beautiful architecture, nicely done buildings spending a lot of money, similarly need more attitudinal developments of airport staff. The immigration area is still same as old airport where people queue for more time and getting frustrated. The authority should look into this and take actions to increase counters and electronic gates to minimize the delays.

One of the most beautiful and largest airports in the region. The airport is very new and nice. There are many amenities that a traveler needs. Inside the airport there is a full-service hotel and large business rooms. Also rooms for waiting are ready. There are reading rooms and chapels for men and women and many restaurants. It competes to be one of the most beautiful 20 airports in the world.

A really beautiful, comfortable and modern airport. I was happy with all the service in the airport and the friendly treatment there.

I felt like a sardine in this airport, it smells bad and hordes of people are waiting for flight so impossible to sit. Horrible

Is still new, construction time of 7 years, you could cut off in Berlin ne disc. Functional, clean, large and relatively many seating options. The own fleet is somewhat rocked, of 4 flights was a newer Dreamliner, the other 2x737 and once instead of Airbus 333 a Dreamliner of which still hurts my butt

Muscat International Airport has been established recently .. It is good that the staff and security personnel are confused and cooperative to the extreme.

Very clean and neat. Duty free section is not very large and prices are not the lowest. Transiting passengers have to wait in the duty free shopping area until their gate number is displayed and seating in this area is very limited. Interiors very well designed and looks great.

Great airport in Muscat. Very clean and everything well organized. A plus is that there are not hundreds of taxi drivers waiting at the exit for one besiegers!

One of the hifi structures of the country. Has enough space for transfer and transit passengers. Internet accessible systems provided. Wifi available but required local number to receive security pin. Was told that its also possible to collect pin from the office desk reception.

It is a very impressive airport in Oman. It is the international hub for the desert state. As soon as you enter, you can see how clean the airport looks to a passenger. Very friendly staff can be found on every corner if you have any questions or just don't know what to do. The Primeclass Lounge seemed remarkable to me. Here you can linger and spend the waiting time pleasantly and quietly.

Modern and beautiful airport, superb furnishings, incredible cleanliness and order, it looks new. Surveillance service very present. Customer service is not particularly friendly.

Was there 5 years back. It was small but airport staff was very co-operative and professional. Duty free area has lot to offer for shoppers. All in one very good experience.

Small older style airport, but functioned well when not overly busy. Visa on arrival system for non GCC visitors (it's the counter next to travelex). Free Wi-Fi but you have to put in your phone number and get a coffee to access. Most plane access appears to be via walkways and a bus, so check in what you can't carry up and down

Bad experience. Small, and old airport. Not a good choice for transferring passengers. The walkways are narrow and congested, duty free has limited merchandise, and the toilets are not clean. Wi-Fi is free but you need to hunt for the desk that gives you the codes, otherwise you'll end up offline. Will never forget the baggage X-ray guys too, who took Nerf toys from my kid, even after you explained how safe they are and it's something special, they will never listen. Even Star Wars lightsaber toys are being questioned! And never heard of any airport banning those on hand carry baggage, only words you'll hear from those guys is that they're a "problem". Will never go back there ever again.
