Airport is awsome
Helpful and supportive staff all over
But I would advise not to use the private taxi outside the airport.They will be offering services as soon as you go out of the airport. Once you agree they will take you to the cab and keep your luggage in the boot space and they leave.You will be sitting there for minutes or even hours until the driver arrives with other 3-4 passengers one by one.You cannot find another cab as well because your luggage is locked in the boot. In the end they come with the car full of passengers and ready to move..You are lucky if they drop you at your exact destination.They ask for more money arrogantly sometime or even drop you on the road if other passengers are not going in the same direction..

This was sadly my experience
So my advice is you could better use the mawasalat cab or bus service which is quite safe,quick and responsible

Was not happy with my pass through today. Got off plane from Bangkok. Went through the bag checks again at transfer s which I did not mind. Got to my gate and had a few minutes to wait. Decided to buy a drink from the WH Smith's next to the gate. They had an offer buy 2 get 1 free so I did. Then when going through the gate they decided to set up a second bag search. Even though I had the receipt to show I had just bought the drinks in the airport right next to my gate they took the drinks off me. They said the rule is no more than 100ml. Any other airport I have been to once you go through the bag check you can buy drinks inside and they are allowed on the plane. Here you buy then but they still take them off you.

Wonderful airport. Clean, well maintained. Very friendly people. Easy access to everything you need. A real jewel.

Very Clean, huge in area. "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" and every bit of it can been seen in this airport.

I would say this could stay in top 10 international airports in the world. By far this is best airport by interior designing, architecture and ambiance. Though they need to work on food courts and flight lay over(connectivity). Every airport has its flaws undoubtedly.

I was really happy to be here first of all. Because I didn't expect much about this airport being really a very nice one. Very big one with so much of nice options like superb retreat area, prayer rooms, resting places, wash rooms, and all that make a guest become so cozy and relaxed. U can see beautiful setting with good lighting and stuff. U can even sleep well in couch and access free wifi. It is very big or vast u can call whatever. Wash rooms are well cleaned and kept. Good service. I can give a verdict that you will not feel bored as u will be occupied with so much. Don't miss out to roam around as you have lot to see around.

So nice and new airport its great , i wish if the speakers were lower its scared you when they talking or call some one

The new Muscat airport is quite spacious and luxurious. Love the ambience and lighting at this airport. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Information desks are available at all key places.

Oman airport is such a beautiful place, and so amazing that you wouldn t want to go out from there. The ambience and atmosphere is almost like a 5star rated hotel. You literally feel like you re at home. And the staff as well is very helpful I needed a little help so asked the staff and the person did. This is a hassle free airport. I had a connecting flight from here to dubai & It was great. The interior and architecture is commendable !

Unfortunately, it was a bad choice, but nice airport service is bad and delay a full day trip to go and now return trip completely changed from 10 hours the entire journey, but the whole day waiting for Bangkok Airport 8 hours will

Positive - Very neat and classy airport. Equipped with modern facilities including travelators, beautiful coral landscape and duty free shops of luxurious items. Mini trolleys available for hand luggage and shopping items. Free water taps available near washroom.
Improvement required - Variety of options required across everything. Multiple time security checks should be avoided - physical security, passport check and boarding pass re verifications. It is quite annoying. Very less promotion schemes in duty free shops and compared to other Middle East countries duty free shops - its quite expensive. Gate schedule updated only 1-1.5 hours before flight departure time- it should be updated minimum 2 hours before departure.

Very friendly staff and minimum formalities. The security guards are highly vigilant to keep the area secure

Nice airport.can have a small snap if you have the time to next flight.customer care us food.only negative thing I found here is cannot access WhatsApp,Viber ,Skype voice calls.but you can use WhatsApp messages.( Chats )

Visited first time after the new airport is developed. Looks much better. Sign Boards are a bit confusing though.

Modern airport and staff are friendly amd high efficient . specially Tourism information desk at arrival Mr.Asaad Algbal was really helpful and he helped us alot and made our visit valuable

Muscat International air port is an awesome one. All the ground staffs are very supportive. Infrastructure is awesome, it gives a very good experience. All the feciliies are well designed and maintained. Duty free shops are very good one. Enough space to rome around the duty free. Waiting area is well designed and maintained.

Air port is really good and clean...Friendly service all officers are good and treating us nicely.

First time travelers please approach Finger scanning section for screening then go to immigration Department, without knowing this i was wasted around 90 Minutes.

Kindly ask the people, they are always helping and polite.
Dont Buy Simcard with your Local currencies, kindly pay oman currency some of them ask you to pay Rs.500 (Indian Currency) but OMR 2 is the actual cost mean - Rs. 390 only.. remaining all are goes to in his pocket.

Old and chaotic entrance. Once behind immigration shops look amazing but still old fashioned bus transfer to planes. About time the new airport opens!

There are 3 main gates (wings), each wing has its own color, the northern wing is blue, the west is green, the south is brown, the number of waiting rooms is 45 and the number of (escalators) boarding bridges is 40 bridges.

A very excellent and spacious international airport in which you will find comfort when you arrive or leave. The airport is equipped with the best amenities for the traveler and finds the traveler service everywhere. Since the airport is large, do not hesitate to get help available everywhere. At the airport there are many and varied shops selling perfumes, accessories, bags, watches, drinks, sweets and clothing. And you find specialized shops selling Omani premium products, including food and gifts. And restaurants for all meals and airline offices. A suitcase service is available in the departure hall to package the bags.
Muscat airport in Sultanate of Oman is equipped with the best traveler amenities and the traveler service is everywhere. As the airport is spacious, feel free to get help available in all places. Air port and facilities are very good, But E Gate facility not functioning properly. Emigration also long Que. Also E gate expatriates staffs behavior so bad .

It's good. Architecture wise it attracted us. But it seems there is no mike to anounce. Airport officers are searching for passengers like a bus stop..

Strategic for Hajj and Umrah transit and transit alternatives for those who want to go to Africa or Europe, Dubai seems to be too full for transit. The airport interior design is good even tends to be luxurious, but for the electric plug for those who want to charge a cellphone (especially those from Indonesia), it is better to have a radio shacker to match the type of plugs there.

Have not travelled but been to the new and elegant Muscat Intl Airport. It is an example of contemporary+traditional architecture and each thing has been sort out in this airport and they want to make the travelling experience better for the people and also fun. If your here you would probably be delighted to see the arab interior and the elegant finishes and everything just perfect and also there are different floors for Arrivals and departures for no confusions. Let me make it clear to everyone the top floor is for departure and the floor down is for arrival and on arrival you will see airport taxis which provide 24/7 service and are ready to take you to the beautiful road of madinat al irfan and there are different outlets inside duty free which give you a lot of choice to choose from and there are also two robots to help you out (first instance in the world) . And all the latest technology has been used to see that people can travel comfortably without any problem. Even the staff is very excellent and cooperative (our culture and warm tradition). And this will give you the glimpse of the upcoming events of the #vision 2040 and this is just the start.

Its a very beautiful Airport very impressed with the maintainence and the staff were very decent and the best part of the staff was their clothing I was a bit confused whether thy are staff or travelers. there are many displays which display flight timings which were very useful

First time experience with Oman air, really disapointed,i Miss my flight coz the time not reach.i askd to passanger service,they push me for book new ticket,and one thing cabin crew no smiling,very bad.

Excellent airport creativity does not stop waiting for the business lounge is very excellent creativity wonderful thing considered the best airport in the Middle East and the world airport has excellent services and private business lounge. It is considered the best airport I have visited, where a great deal of creativity in design and services is considered as a civilized interface for the brotherly state of Oman.

Good place but lounge was not up to mark specially the sleeping area.

Internet free. No drinking water. the waiting places are clean and tidy. Chek in is easy done and not overcrowded. the halls are clean and tidy. The cleaners in the toilet and masjid are good and likes help.

very nice airport.. all other facilities are good except "airport taxi".. those peoples who runs taxi are cheaters...last week i take a taxi to sohar for 35rial and he stoped halfway and fix another local sheretaxi and give him 6 rial to get me home... please take necessary action on them... otherwise all other facilities are become worthless
