Very nice Airport many things to see and roam around while catching another flight

One of the good airport in Middle East. Love to travel in Oman Air. Well maintained. Good service. lots of shops are there to purchase in Duty Free. Lounge access available. Taxis service also available.

The new terminal is excellent except the Transfer Desk. The staffs are rude and the total experience was a disaster.

This airport is large and modern. It has luggage buggies and travelator to move you along to your flight gates. They also have a help desk that provides free wifi for travelers stopping by. The duty free also has a great selection of products. Will recommend to travelers.

Muscat International airport is indeed a good looking airport and all.
You are fascinated by the views, lighting and designs the moment you walk in here but unfortunately I have been having an unpleasant time as they don't have a single international power plug. So I can't charge my laptop like I was going to and use it whilst I have another 13 hours to spend here...

I think it's fair to say the prices are relatively higher than the other airports I have been to but this is a luxury airport in the Middle East so I don't blame them. Many luxury shops around as well so don't worry if you haven't already got your souvenirs.

One thing to improve on is that they need to either provide power plug converters or have at least a few international plugs that would fit US or AU plugs which are very basic.

Everything else is fine. They have machines you can use to charge your phone securely but you cannot use it meanwhile so again that is a bit of an issue but better than not having anything.

Just remember before coming to this airport if you are intending to bring a laptop to use, do also bring a power plug converter so you can charge it.

Absolute control not just the internet

Internet access requires a passport scan, and a set of passwords gives you a four-hour network.
The airport is ultra-fashionable and a lot of Asian-speaking staff.
There is a smoking room but the air is bad.

Door to Oman...it's very clean and beautiful airport.The architecture design is very attractive

Get ready to pay $52 USD for a Visa on Arrival. No Wi-Fi. No public transportation into the city (other than very expensive taxis). Long lines.

I have not been to Muscat for almost 9 years. The new airport is beautiful, well thought and functional

New generation airport. Takes time to settle everything.

Although web check in has been made mandatory, still had to wait in a long queue for atleast 1.5 hours. 4 queues and nobody seems to bother about the social distancing.

Very fast check out.. Limited choices at the free duty shop.. Very helpful passport authorities.

This airport is lack of available lodging inside the terminal and adjacent hotel, if you have a long layover pretty much ftotheK situation

I only went to the capital because the flight had a stopover. The airport despite being in the capital of Oman, in my opinion, was not very organized. Excellent controls .. better to waste time in the various controls but be sure to travel "without fear".
Fortunately, the various scoreboards around have the wording in both English and Arabic. Shops (duty free) very valid but at not too cheap (advantageous) prices

Modern and very clean! They are having a hard time checking in standby passengers. They make it extremely complicated, have not experienced it so complicated at any airport! Even with a jumpseat confirmation you stay when the flight is fully booked. Without the physical presence of the crew in question, you usually do not get to the gate. The comment of the staff was, we are not Europe. Have met two other passengers with normal tickets. Arrived late, they missed their connecting flight. You get zero help, everyone had to buy new tickets themselves, you did not want to know anything about passenger rights. I understand a bit of the rights as a passenger, work for an airline myself. I was DEFINITIV the last time in Oman as a passenger!

The new Airport is a masterpiece in itself. Top class airport in Oman. It can be easily in top 10 airport in the world. The design and architecture is combination of both old and new Oman. A lot of photos in gallery shows you the transformation of Oman airways and Oman aviation industry. The duty free is top Class. However, with such facilities comes higher price tag. The food items available at the airport are pretty costly. Need to look into it, else its one of the best Airport in the region.

Wifi is good for browsing but not much else. There is no time limit on it though which is nice when you have a 7 hour layover. There are plenty of benches if all you want to do is sit, not great for a nap as it's very hard to lay down. Could use more frequent cleaning as well. But otherwise lots of friendly staff.

Nice ambience because its new. Easy access to all gates and exits. Clean and decent.

Very nice place to visit, Environment is really hygienic and specially on arrivals some staff are there with holding tabs for identifying yours needs qnd giving possible solutions.

Good and new airport. It's very modern and comfortable. Only the food court is a little bit to small. Not enough seats for having the meal. But check in and security control is very fast

The airport is a masterpiece and the service is complete. There is a very important note. I wish to intensify the inspection by the airport police because I have returned several times from the travel and did not encounter any baggage inspection.

The new airport is way better than the old one. Nice big spaces to relax and sleep. Very fast security checks, you can even take your water and get free/fast WiFi from the infodesk.
Just very limited number of pricy restaurants and no entertainment.
The old terminals had at least some shops to buy snacks with good prices.

2 years ago, I came to Muscat, Oman from Malaysia for travel before I goes to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I took a flight from Malaysia with Oman Air. They have good and beautiful stewardess.

We continue about Muscat Internatinal Airport,
. After I landed on Muscat, I saw they builded a big Airport near the origin airport and very beautiful. After that, I entered the airport and goes to counter for check. There have nice staff. At the airport, I saw a gift shop, coffee shop and more.

Lastly, I enjoyed went I goes to Muscat, Oman. I recommanded to all people around the world if you to choose for your trip vacation or honeymoon you can choose Muscat, Oman.
