I love this place. Beatiful gardens and vegetation. Nice lobbky and piano bar.
Nice hotel. Nice room. The royal suite room is so very nice. It has everything you need on your trip provided. It has jacuzzi in the middle of the room between the emperor-sized bed (I think it's bigger the king size) & shower room, and the jacuzzi is next to the window, so you can enjoy in it together with great sight.
I HAVE VISITED FOR ACTIVITIES, NOT STAYING IN THE HOTEL, IT IS A HOTEL WITH A VERY NICE AREAS.
Good service and super clean. In the evening beautiful parrots swarms in the hotel garden. Room service good and fast. Restaurant had good food. Gym could be bigger. Ambassador rooms in the 5th stick are worth it, are really better than the others. Only negative was that on the guarded (!) Hotel parking lot the decorative caps and fenders were stolen from Mietauti down. Always insuring cars well - in my case, thank God. Would take the hotel again.
Absolute shocker of a registration process. Checked in twice in one week, they keep you waiting for 15-20munutes.
It is a very nice hotel and with the improvements that have made it better, I love breakfasts and brunches, as they count it is good to spend the day in the pool area with the flia, try and let me know
It is a very luxurious hotel, the attention of the first, the very kind employees and always ready to serve you in the most pleasant way. I loved! It is close to the main avenues, mall and other restaurants.
A very elegant hotel, with an excellent service and a delicious meal, ideal for any occasion
Quality attention .. very luxurious and excellent service.
Comfortable but they have to change parking handling
Great location.... great remodel!!!
Phenomenal Staff....
haven of peace for a drink and enjoy nature, away from everything in its beautiful garden
Undoubtedly, the best Hotel to stay in Sto. Sunday, Dominican Rep.
Hotel located in the residential area of the capital, with a nice park. Rooms redone in 2017. Really very nice and good value for money
good place the bad thing that does not have full day or pasadia
Traditional hotel in Santo Domingo with great splendor in all areas
This is a FIVE STAR hotel in any country .. fully refurbished ..great value.
Excellent hotel With exceptional quality in its menus and services
Enchanted very beautiful and cozy. The food and the chef are excellent
What an excellent service! The rooms are incredible
Excellent resort hotel great for business or vacation, excellent and attentive service. The rooms are beautifully done, contemporary high end design and expansive views.
A perfect place for weddings. !!! This is how I would describe it. !!!
Great place to stay ,friendly staff , clean room ,comfortable beds bathrooms are amazing food is good will come back for sure
A hotel that lives up to its fame and history. Very well organized and excellent attention.
Friendliness and service, elegant and organized. I loved
An elegant super comfortable hotel and very tasty food
We stayed for two nights in the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the garden was very nice and the pool was big and clean. We left our room in the afternoon and came back around 11pm. Unfortunately the hotel staff was unable to make our room at this time. Of course this is not possible in such a hotel. Too bad.
I felt ripped off. My breakfast was supposed to be free and they wanted to charge me $750 pesos each for me and my 5 year old daughter too. We just had fruit and yogurt, seriously? At check out, they also said we took food from the mini bar and were going to charge us for something we didn't consume. The floor of room 219 was so dirty our feet were black when we took a shower after walking in the room barefoot for a little bit. It looked like black paint running off our feet, I don't understand why. I will stay elsewhere next time I'm in Santo Domingo, this is a Royal thieves hideaway.
A luxury hotel. Beautiful, good rooms, pool and gardens, good restaurants, etc.
Most luxurious, top place to stay. FANTASTIC JAZZ ON THE LOBBY.
The best located hotel in the city of Santo Domingo, recently remodeled, centrally located, with casino, spa and gymnasium, meeting rooms and events, in its surroundings you will find a wide variety of restaurants with food from Spanish to meat.
Very good location with a lovely garden. A hotel with excellent service and cleanliness. Central and excellent food service. Highly recommended for business.
Excellent place for business trip, comfortable, spacious, excellent service, only that upon arrival there were hair in the sink and a shampoo from another guest
Very cozy and modern. Wide Lobby A to work comfortable.
Very good hotel now in these moments there is a real estate fair.
Spectacular Hotel. From the moment of reception a great deal. It is a large hotel. The beautiful rooms highlighting your bathtub built into the room, more coffee would not hurt! The pool is great to hang out, but despite having 25m it is not good for swimming, too hot. The modern gym in which you can train very well, although it lacks a spinning bike and more machines or functional equipment. The breakfast of great quality. From Iberian ham, smoked salmon and large tortillas, the fruit stood out.
A few months ago, I received a notification from TripAdvisor saying that my reviews of El Embajador were going to be erased, because the hotel had gone though major renovations. They didn't specify if only the negative reviews were the ones subject to being erased.
The rooms were completely renovated. They are now beautiful, elegant and modern; but not without issues. For example, poorly installed showers leak water to the outside, making a huge puddle on the bathroom floor.
And although a huge improvement is evident in the rooms, the service has gotten considerably worse.
When checking in, I asked the clerk to register my iPrefer fidelity number, so that the nights I stayed would be awarded in my account. He said that since it was my company that paid for the room, they wouldn't credit my account.
After checking in, and making sure that my company was paying for all my expenses at the hotel, I ordered room service. After I signed for my order and finished eating, I received a call from the room service staff saying that I had to call reception, because the system didn't indicate that my meals were included and I should straighten things with them.
Tips are by law included in restaurant bills in the DR; nevertheless, in this hotel, if you sign the bill without adding an extra tip, the waiters will clearly change their attitude towards service.
On the day of my checkout, they refused to call my room when my driver arrived and asked them to. Also, since my company was paying, they wouldn't allow me to verify the bill, to make sure it was correct.
Positives: food was good, bed was comfortable, wifi was acceptable and - besides the pudding on the bathroom floor - shower was nice. Towels, on the other hand, were thin and rough. And not only are rooms not properly cleaned, but they seem dirtier after being serviced. On my second day, I found a big hairball (see picture); which I'm sure it wasn't mine, since it was made up of long hairs.
At this price point, the hotel leaves a lot to be desired.
Very good facilities and service, in the event rooms.
The super attentive staff and the spaces for breaks are comfortable and with an excellent view.
The parking spaces are sufficient and the bathrooms are very well placed and stocked.
Well done place, with deserving details of edta punctuation, located in the south of the National District.
Really bad recepcionist. I was there for a conference and they didn't guide me where I was suppose to go. I had to ask to a security for directions. I don't recomend it at all.
Wonderful local. Friendly staff. Came for a destination wedding and had a wonderful time. Great breakfast buffet as well.
Nice but $33 American dollars for 2 shots of Don Julio at the bar.
