Had an 80th Birthday lunch here for my dad. We were a table of 4 and the whole experience was brilliant. Kevin, our waiter, and the other staff couldn t do enough for us. The food was delicious. It was expensive but worth every penny. We were lucky to have a window corner table. The fish options were particularly gorgeous.

The place is great with a live band I had to admit.

Food was tasty, but my friend had bad tummy afterwards. I wasn't impressed by the manager who handle the case. The process went on like Spanish inquisition as if my friend was making it up. Very defensive attitude, not al all I expected.

We went to celebrate Mom's b-day on a Sunday last December. Although the weather had disappointed, the views from our table, quite in the middle of the restaurant, were unique. The furniture is not what you would expect from a top restaurant, neither is the noise level, but the low ceiling cannot help it. The service, however, was excellent and they prove they are willing to go the extra mile. I believe I mentioned when reconfirming our booking that we wanted a window table because it would be for 'a birthday'. They warned they might not be able to grant our wish, but on the day and to our surprise they prepared our dessert with candles and all. Alex and the team were at all times very friendly without overwhelming or crossing any line. I came back one more time and would do again. The bar opposite the Oblix signs with a different name, I'm afraid, and maybe I didn't like what I saw from the access to the restrooms, but people should write the reviews in the right place.

They made my birthday absolutely exquisite. Excellent table service and incredible venue (33 floor at The Shard). I recommend the steak, you cannot go wrong with it.

The view is great wherever you sit. The food is simple and good quality. Oblix West is the fine dining, good food, Oblix East is the bar, often mixed as they have different entries.

Have you ever been to a restaurant on your birthday and the best memories and recollections are regarding the champagne, the decor, and the view?
Well... that is what I have found at Oblix bar last night.
I asked for a burger without any sauce and for it on the side and my other half with sauce in it. They swapped our dishes. The meat was good but everything about the burger not memorable at all. We have ordered sides of French fries and they were soggy and soaked in oil and salt. We left them almost all on the dish.
We have also ordered fried squid, and it was the same as the French fries. Not battered properly, tasteless and soaked in oil (Well Wagamama's chilli squid is 100 times better).
For desert and because it was my birthday my significant other ordered the cheesecake (which I was dreading and didn't wanted) but as he insisted I had it. Well it came to the table with a runny cream on top and tasted like I imagine what licking a wet dog would taste like. The worst desert of my life.
If you're wondering if I know my food? Erm... My mum is a professional cook!!!

The staff: ok. Would expect a better service and a non argumentative staff when I show my burger is drenched in mayo when i asked for a sauceless one.
And the band they have playing: oh dear! Too loud. You can't hear your thoughts.

Good news for Oblix! They will never see me there again.

My advice. Go there for a couple of drinks and the view.
Avoid the food: bad value for money!!!

Had a wonderful birthday dinner here last night to celebrate Dad s 60th. They kindly gave us a large window table, tucked away giving us not only a fabulous view of London but felt a little more private especially because it was a full house so otherwise quite noisy.

My lobster linguine was scrumptious!! So flavoursome! My family had the grilled fish which was very good too!

Wonderful experience in all.

Afternoon tea was delightful. The endless tea mad sandwiches+sweets with 360deg views was brilliant.

Beautiful view of London and excellent service. Their food was okay. I liked their cocktails and music.

Good food and lovely staff although main attraction is the view. When we booked we asked for a window table and when we arrived they sat us in the middle of the restaurant, so was let down.

Terrible restaurant and shambles of a setting. At booking provided incorrect information, with two young children sat by the alcohol where one had a champagne cork go off in her face. Ruined a 40TH birthday surprise and didn t even care!

Do not go here as a complete nightmare and waste of money! All requests were ignored and forgot allergies that were pre advised!

Keep it short and sweet: Great food, Great staff and Great view. Pricey but can be affordable too depending on what you order.

Nice views of the city but very loud and crowded. The food was ok but could do with more options on the menu. For the price of the cocktails I expected it to be nicer.

I was suggested this restaurant for the views, and, after my research, I decide to book a table for my girlfriend's birthday.
For the booking, I requested candles with the dessert.
In the website does not allow to request for a window-table, but, on arrival, you can ask at reception, in case they have any available. They allocate us in a high table, but they told us they will try to accommodate us on one of the low tables next to the windows as soon as one was available. That happen before the starters arrive.
The menu was quite complete, but we decide to go for the Late Menu option, with 2 and 3 courses for a good value price.
Once we sat, the experience was just stunning. Food was fantastic, the cocktails amazing, and they also remember about the candles with the dessert. All people were friendly, and we really appreciate they try to give us the best table next to the window, once was available. Special remarks to our waiter, "Wissam". He was just really attentive, but giving us space to enjoy the experience. He sang for us happy birthday with the dessert, and also, he took us some photos with the views. It was a quite night, which allow him to take time with customers, which I believe is a Great Service.

I will definitely recommend this restaurant for a special night.

I have been incredibly lucky to have eaten some amazing food in all over the world and place doesn't even make the mid way mark. The food is ok, but the price that you pay you could get something remarkable else where. You pay for the view, but there are plenty of other building in London where you can enjoy the view for the fraction of the cost and then go spend your money in decent restaurant.
I got taken out for dinner here, but wouldn't have gone otherwise as it's a bit of tourist trap.

I went there for lunch and was a nice experience. The viewing is nice, but I think it's more beautiful in the evening.
The service was good and liked that the waiters gave us a window table. The food is ok. You definitely must get dessert.

I was in Oblix Aqua Shard. Only cold drinks. This is the reason I give them 4.

We wanted to come up for a quick coffee and leave to go do more stuff and this place hit the spot. I had a lovely coffee with a brilliant view and got to spend it with my lovey. The staff was so kind and quick. Well done team!

Too noisy, food came after 45 minutes! But food was tasty, good view. Absolutely not a good place for a date, you wont even hear yourself.

Rude waiter barked at us to move out of the way. I don't expect to be treated like that at any establishment.

I'm happy to eat at either end of the foodie scale. So, let's be honest here. If we take away the magnificent view, the Oblix wouldn't be that memorable. I'm really not keen on being treated like a sardine, nor having my champagne bucket moved some 20ft away from me because there's no room at the table. Everybody seems more interested in having their photo taken by the window than relaxing in the company of friends. No. There are plenty of places to go where the service is genuine the food memorable and you still get the location wow factor. Try the Wolseley, for instance.

I went there on Monday for my birthday and loved everything about it. Beautiful views, delicious food and drink and great service, definitely recommend it to everyone

My rating is for the excellent web presence and information available. Prices in menu also seem reasonable given the variety of choices and the location..I look forward to checking this place out when we visit London.

We decided to celebrate our 7 anniversary so to make it special we choose Oblix after a online research.
Wasn t a pleased experience unfortunately starting with the place we ve been seethed was for 4 people and very low couch ( was plenty of free tables) even we ve been asked to dress smart( but in the restaurant was people wearing normal clothes not casual or smart) so I was wearing heels/dress and for 2 hours I was sitting very uncomfortable not being able to enjoy.
We asked for a different table the lady said,,Sorry can t help
The only reason I give it 3* is the food which was delicious.
Customer service is poor, next time definitely will choose a better place.

Absolutely amazing dining experience from the moment we walked in. We were lucky enough to be seated by the window so obviously benefited from the sensational view.
My partner had the rib-eye steak and I had the chicken; we had chips and the green beans on the side. It honestly couldn't have been better - cooked to perfection! Delicious. The prosecco complimented our meals beautifully.
Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive and definitely helped make the experience

Great view! Good environment. Food was good but not outstanding

You just waltzed into the 37th floor of the Shard at 11PM without any need for reservation, and actually find some pretty comfy seats. Order a drink (preferably a cocktail, some of them are actually worth it), sit back, enjoy the view. An inspired conversation is sure to ensue.

Ok it's far from perfect. It's expensive. Service can be inconsistent. They may or may not charge a 5 gbp "entertainment" fee. But as the occasional place to go with someone from out of town, it's not a bad choice.

Great drinks, although they had some menu discrepancies, we ordered one drink price from the menu, yet their system charged us more, due to price changes...they honored the lower price

Depending on the day, you may get a classic London (grey) sky view. Squid starters were amazing. Overall food was alright.

A view worth going elsewhere for.

We went up there for the view, as we figured it would be the ideal setting for a late night drink. We figured wrong.

The staff was rude, the drinks mediocre and the prices only fair if the service and the drinks were good.

Would not recommend.

Amazing environment in the mid air of downtown London. The duck for two is highly recommended. The service is more in a rush mode. We were told the kitchen is extremely busy so we need to order the entire set of food immediately. That s the thing that intimidated me a little. Other than that is quite good.

Great place. For the price/location, I would have expected the wait staff to be slightly more refined. The service was polite, but sometimes haphazard.

Everyone wants a window seat! To get one book your table for 2 people at 6pm during the week (earlier on Friday) and you stand the best chance.

My wife booked a Suprise meal for our 25th wedding anniversary. The whole experience was outstanding, from the service, food , ambiance and views. We were lucky to have a band playing also, who were also brilliant. Would highly recommend going.

Fantastic food and service. Didn't give a fifth star because they are so strict with the time slot. Would have loved a coffee after a fabulous lunch, but wasn't offered, just presented with the bill. Shame.

Aside from the view, which is worth all the shopping, the dinner was very good. All the first courses tasted were tasty and well prepared. A special compliment for the fried lime squid. Exceptional. As well as desserts. Prices are not excessive considering the location

Restaurant in the Shard? Almost on top level? And with a very delicious food? Yes, Yes and yes. This place is posh, it is tasty and it is very friendly. You didn't get a table next to the window? Ask the staff and I'm sure that you will have a nice view outside at least for your desserts. Food is great and it is pleasure just to look at it. Simply yumiii. Worth the visit.

Beautiful place, lovely friendly attentive staff. The Manager was great and helpful concerning our order. Breath taking views. Great atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will be returning for a lovely meal. Celebrated my daughters birthday staff brought out the cake and cut it with a side of ice cream which was nice. My daughter had a wonderful time at the Shard she loved it. Thank you to all the staff who made her 16th birthday celebration a memorable one. Bless you all and thank you.

I visited Oblix West with my husband to celebrate my birthday. Drinks, service, and food were absolutely amazing. We had the fried octopus and steak tartare as starters, and seafood linguini and wagyu beef for mains. Absolutely recommended. But I have to say it's not really fine dining.

However there were a couple of disappointing things ...

The restaurant's website clearly describes the strict dress code. It is very disappointing when you show up and find people walking around in flipflops and trainers, and beach dresses! I understand it was summertime and there was a heatwave but this does not necessarily mean people can show up in less than casual dressing. It's not just the restaurant's dress code but also the Shard's! I was denied entry to the Shard once for wearing trainers, so it was very shocking when we arrived and found people dressed this way. Also, we were called 3 times before our dinner to confirm the reservation and were told that KIDS ARE NOT ALLOWED, only adults. We went for dinner and there were kids running around. When I asked the manager about the dress code he said that some pairs of trainers cost a fortune, and that a lot of tourists come in who are not aware of the dress code. I think you can deny them entry at the door like you did me once and then they will be aware of the dress code :)

Also, although the ladies' room was very clean, the men's toilets were in no good condition. Apparently the urinals were overflowing, only 2 of the toilets were functioning, and people hadn't been flushing. It is such a shame that such a nice place with really nice staff and food does not maintain/clean/look after their facilities like this. Maybe that's what happens when you let anyone in and giv the impression that casual and "relaxed" is acceptable.

I don't mean to sound arrogant, but people don't go to places like this for a daily lunch break. Places like these are for special occasions (which is why the staff ask every table what the occasion is!!), but the ambiance doesn't really make it feel special, just very expensive. Delicious but very expensive.

Although these couple of things were very disappointing, I can't say I won't go there again. I just won't make an effort and wear flipflops instead! Yes it is overpriced but you would think you're paying for the food and the experience, the latter being slightly ruined by the extermely relaxed attire and people treating the place like it's an English pub where you go for Sunday roast. Perhaps Oblix has always been this kind of place and I didn't know. Makes you wonder how many of the classy over-the-top restaurants really are what they say they are.

The bar is incredible. Jasmine tea is supurb. Amazing view of London city. Reasonable pricing too!

A restaurant expensive. But you have a wonderful view and if you take the less expensive (about 15pounds by person) it is less expensive than the London eye! I totally recommend it. This restaurant is really amazing even if sometimes I felt like I wasn't in my place (too rich for me, I wasn't used to)

This restaurant is not just beautiful, but it is amazing. Very nice decor, great helpful staff, amazing food. One of the best meals I have ever had.

The view was absolutely flawless. Our waitress was great. However, I was slightly disappointed with the mac n cheess and pork bell as they did not taste fresh.

Been here 3 times already and it s always the same thing, no one acknowledged us when we came and sat down at the bar, I think it s either understaffed or disorganised.
Last time we came the waiter didn t put the order through and we found out about 10 minutes later and we had to wait even more.
This time no one cared about us for a good 20 minutes, I can see it s busy but there should be more attention for paying customers.
It s such a shame cause I really like the place and view.

Amazing view and service but I felt like the food needed more flavour.

This place isn't cheap but the view and the food can be well worth it, particularly if you're seated near one of the window. We loved all of the food that we ordered, particularly the mashed potatoes on the site - so creamy! Service was really friendly, too!

Free view from the Shard with kids! Thank you! Let us in with kids before 6pm allowing a free view as long as you buy a drink. Came in through the entrance marked "Restaurants" at street level (don't go to the "View from the Shard" because they try to convince you theirs is the only way to get up there).

We dressed smartly but it must have been obvious we weren't going to spend lots. However we were treated really nicely and the waitress spent time talking to the kids about what they could have which made them feel special.

Yes, the drinks did cost more than average but this is a WAY better than average venue, in fact I don't think I've been in a better one.
