Stunning views across London. Lovely food and great service. Surprisingly decent prices.
You reserve a table in advance, should be done well in advance.
On the east side there is also a bar. Some loud music and very crowded, but did not dampen the experience.

Absolutely awful. Pathetic level of service. We waited over an hour for our starters with no explanation or apology from staff. The manager was totally useless and went silent when I questioned why our food was so late.
The starters arrived and to be fair, they were nice. However, we then waited another hour for our mains to arrive. I had to chase up the useless manager twice for them. Again he went silent and offered no explanation.
You would think that after messing up our starters, they would take extra care and effort to ensure our mains arrived on time. But they didn't.
As compensation they gave us the starters for free, a free round of drinks and free desserts.
Although the food was great and they eventually compensated us, I will never return here, ever. I will also never recommend this place to anybody I know.
Really bad experience at somewhere that is meant to be a top restaurant.

This is not the first time I ve been to afternoon tea, and definitely not the first time I ve been to a fancy place. Unfortunately, the Shard doesn t live up to its reviews and is no where close to a 5 Star place.

We arrived a little bit earlier and we were told to get there at least 15 minutes before our reservation time. We were asked to wait at the bar. 10 minutes after the scheduled reservation time, we still hadn t heard from anyone so we had to ask about out table. With no apologies for the delay, we were finally shown to a table.

Our table was next to a table next to a window. Within a few minutes there were three tables next to the window either empty or about to be empty. So we asked our waitress if we could move to one of the table windows. We hadn t even ordered anything but water at this point and two of the tables weren t even cleaned up and ready for the next customers yet. The waitress came back and said no , with no explanation or apologies. We then saw folks getting seated and one table that was moved from another table to the window. This pissed me off as we were previously told that you couldn t reserve a window table ahead of time so clearly the people that were seated at the two window tables didn t know they were getting window tables and the third table requested it.

I asked to see a manager who then proceeded to argue a lot with me about how that table asked for a window table as soon as they were seated and the other two were already on their way to the table (impossible as the tables weren t even cleaned yet) blah blah blah. He kept arguing with me and then finally said that of course they would seat us as soon as the next table was available. I pointed out that this is not what he initially said nor what the waitress told us.

I should point out that I m Asian and was wearing a long Kurta (long Indian tunic top); my husband is white but was also wearing a long Kurta; the only other people wearing non-western clothing were two Muslim ladies (hijabs) whose table was as far from the window as possible. I m pointing this out because other than them being completely arbitrary this is the only other reason I could think of for them not giving us a window table and not even trying in the first instance (like they did for other white customers).

In any case having lost the argument and seeing that I was still fuming we were somehow immediately and begrudgingly moved to a window table but we could tell that the staff was very angry with us. They then pretty much forgot about us so we were left alone with no service and without tea or water for almost 30 minutes, pretty much until we asked for the check. The service was abysmal and the food was mediocre: the tea was mediocre; the scones were overcooked and tasted burnt; two of the sandwiches had way too much mustard; the egg mayo tasted rotten.

The view was great but was it worth it? Not really.

It was a waste of money and we should have really just gone somewhere else. I haven t had customer service this bad in London in a long long time. I wouldn t recommend it to my enemy.

It is located in the shard tower very close to London Bridge. The view is magnificent and you can enjoy your drink and food. The entrance to the tower is guarded and you must state your exact destination in the building.

We had booked for 2030 but arrived half an hour early. We were shown to the bar area while we waited for a table. We ordered drinks and moved toward the window to take a few photos, but were quickly told by a tall dark haired young man (who seemed to be a floor manager) we could only stand at the bar. His English wasn't that good and he came over very abrupt, verging on rude.

After ten minutes the young lady who showed us to the bar returned and showed us to a table, we were assigned a waiter called Alex who was wonderful. He even moved us to a window table for desert. The food was excellent, but the behaviour of the chap in the bar let it down so no five stars.

Both me and my family absolutely loved it here. The view does not need me to say anything as it says it all itself. I absolutely loved the food here and the service that came along with it made it that extra special. Wanted to give special thanks to Parsa who made us feel sooo welcome and gave impeccable service.

Loved the experience. Celebrated a friends birthday, staff was friendly and they gave us window seat. Loved the service. Food was really good, we had salmon and white sauce pasta. Loved the food, seating and views .Must visit this place for a romantic dinner.

Rescued the view, good food nothing spectacular, expensive and with a tasting menu system in which they bring all the food to the table and you must eat very fast so that the dishes do not cool. Bad.

Not worth to spend the money!

Not worth to spend the money!

I was there on Sunday 8 July. Everything went well until the starters were clear from our table and we were left at the table for more than 30 minutes without any follow-up from the staff. Staff walked by and looked at us but not approached us at all. I had to follow the (pricey) food for more than 3 times, then the floor manager came and apologized to us and said that the food would be coming right up...nothing good happened as they kept us to wait for 10 minutes more. And finally, very very salty pork chop and stake arrived with the wrong preference of cooking. We asked for medium beef but we got well-done beef. However, as no staff approaching after they served us our mains and we were starving, then we ate.

View is not that nice if you are not placed at the window table. The food is not that good, especially compared to the price -- the food we had showed that chefs had NO SENSE of using SALT and FLAME. Service is not that good, actually is poor.

I suggest you to go to other restaurants

Absolutely fantastic.

Absolutely fantastic.
Can't be beaten.
I took my girlfriend here to propose to her. Thankfully she said yes!
The staff from start to finish was absolutely amazing, helpful, friendly.
The waiter video recordered the proposal for me, we got a free glass of bubbly and on the dessert wrote with chocolate sauce congratulations!
The food was brought out with sufficient timing, the food was extremely tasty I can't complain at all.

Because of how great they were throughout the night I did pay it.
I will be back and would recommend a visit.

Arrival experience: very poor.

Arrival experience: very poor.
Service inside: great.
Food: ok but below par in comparison to other places like Aviary, Hawksmoor and many other places in the city.
Bar: much better, great attentive bar staff and an excellent band.

I've eaten here a couple of times and been wowed by the whole experience so we recommended this was the place to go to our friends who are leaving London. This time, however, it was a disappointment. Quite under par from the outset.

When I arrived the reception hostess couldn't find the reservation on her tablet (but oddly it was there when my friends arrived a few minutes before). Instead of being helpful and looking into it further, which is the least I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber, she was dismissive and sent me next door to Aqua Shard, insisting that they [my friends] must have 'messed up the booking' when they told me the venue, and that I should check there. I went across and went through the same frustrating process to no avail. But at least the hostess in Aqua was friendly and welcoming enough to let me pop in and look for my friends. They weren't there so called my partner, he came out from OBLIX to meet me and we confirmed to the hostess that Oblix was indeed the correct venue.

She then sent us in and as she didn't think to escort us to ensure things went smoothly from that point, we were stopped again by the cloakroom hostess asking us where we were going.

On the whole, an unnecessary, frustrating wild goose chase of an arrival due to a distinctly lacklustre and unhelpful member of staff. Not a high end experience.

In fairness, the service inside was much better but, sadly, not special enough to win me over my first impression.

I would be reluctant to return to Oblix. There are many other places in London that this budget would afford, which work harder in every aspect to provide a better experience and more wow factor.

I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday and it was lovely. The service charge was rather expensive however we were quite happy to pay as we really enjoyed our evening together. Highly recommended :). Xx

The views from Oblix, especially on a clear Summer's day, are incomparable. The service was very good, we got moved from a high table to one by the window for our dessert course. The food is ok but it's definitely the place to come for views.

Fabulous! Best way to see the city of you are only in town for a short time. Gorgeous views of the London Bridge and other monuments.

If you are dining on the West side you can see a spectacular sunset! All of the staff were friendly and accommodating, the food was incomparable!

I ordered a flat bread as an appetizer and got a dinner portion of lobster pasta, delicious!

Went there yesterday for our 7th year Wedding Anniversary. Couldn't get a table in the actual restaurant but got one in the lounge area and what an atmosphere it was! From the point we walked out of the lifts we were greeted and taken care of right away. We had a corner table right near the window so had a beautiful view. Our waitress for the night was just exceptional. She recommended a few drinks and they were just brilliant. The food was delicious and then we asked if we could move tables for a better view and there was one that was reserved but they happily gave to us which was fantastic! She was on point which you hardly get these days. Its an experience you must not miss out on!

I went there for our first wedding anniversary yes...

I went there for our first wedding anniversary yesterday. food was okay but the service was very disappointed. People has the right to receive proper service when they especially pay for the 13% extra fee for the service.

He did ignore our request to move the table, didn't come back with any answer whether it's possible or not.
Also, I had spent our anniversary day chasing waiters to fill up our glass with a bottle of wine.
He gave our starter plates to the right next table couple in front of us. (as we skip starter.)
It seems he never trained properly and behaved like in a somewhere local pub. I wouldn't spent 140 pounds with that service seating right next to the column.

Finally lady manager wearing black skirt apologised and move the table without any hassle. She managed the situation very smoothly.

Very nice restaurant located at the top of the Shard which offers a breathtaking view of London. The restaurant is on the West side. The atmosphere is subdued and chic. The impeccable service, when a table was released, they offered us to approach the windows to enjoy a better view.
The card is well made, the food is delicious, special mention for the black codd, a killer.
Only downside, very noisy but I will return without hesitation.

Went to East with my boyfriend to celebrate American Thanksgiving (I m an expat). Wonderful atmosphere, food, and drinks. Our server, Joss, was one of the best parts - not only was he very attentive and kind (he had Happy Thanksgiving written on dessert!) but he reserved us the best seat in the house overlooking the Thames and Tower Bridge after dinner so we could keep enjoying the cocktails and live music. Can t wait to go back.

The view is amazing, the food is ok, but the waiting time is really too much, almost 1 hour.
The ambience is pretty dark and when the restaurant is full, there's too much noise, really difficult to talk sometimes.

The West part was better in terms of the view. We ordered sirloin steak, lamb chops and ceaser salad also some wines and cocktails. The steak and lamb chops were amazing, but salad was a little too salty. Service was great and kind!

Obviously the best part is the stunning views. But the restaurant is also really cool. The open kitchen you walk through is amazing. Once seated, the food is OK at best. But still, an amazing experience.

Dined and got food poisoning. Emailed them and got a very SLOW respond (took a few days) straight after I sent them another one mentioning 'GP'. Not even a single word of apologies for a start but rather giving me to fill in some sort of questionnaires. It has been more than a week and no procedure still. And I don't think they take this matter seriously even though they said it in email. How great service they provide! ABSOLUTELY AWFUL, not to mention the food was AVERAGE like any pub food. Even worse. But the price is RIDICULOUS. They don't deserve even a star. It has to be MINUS MINUS and MINUS again.

View from the restaurant was great. Overall, the staff were nice.

Food was pretty disappointing for the price, and the service was very slow. Took over 3 hours to have a 3 course meal.

Staff didn't seem to know much about which food were gluten free, despite me informing them before we arrived.

I went to the Oblix yesterday for an evening meal and am sorry to say I found it extremely disappointing.
Firstly though, I would like to say that the food was lovely and I could not fault that. Unfortunately I cannot say the same about the service. Our waiter was extremely surly, and I felt that we were a bother to him. We tried to order some drinks on arrival, and only two were brought to the table. It took a further three requests for the other one to arrive. We ordered a shared salad bowl to go with our main course but this was not served to us until our waiter was reminded. By the time it arrived, we were about 10 minutes into eating our meal and there was no apology for this oversight.
We were seated quite a distance from the windows and virtually all we could see from the table was the top of a crane. The restaurant was extremely noisy, and it was difficult to hold a conversation.
If you are going for the view, and not lucky enough to get a window seat, I would recommend buying tickets for the viewing platform, as very little can be seen from the tables situated further back in the restaurant.

Thoroughly worth it at its price point, and decidedly one of the best fine dining experiences my family and I have ever had. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was amazingly attentive, including regarding my mother's food allergies. Would recommend to anyone wanting a special evening meal with one of the best views in London.

A lovely view over London, with a good range of food and a nice atmosphere. However it was quite rushed (eg our waitress seemed to be pushing us to choose our desert before we'd had much chance to read the menu), which rather puts one on edge - not ideal if you're spending a couple hundred pounds

Mom was visiting, so I ve decided to take the family out for an awesome meal.
Steak game is weak. Medium rare sirloin is supposed to melt in your mouth. That one didn t)
Mash was heavenly though.
Seasonal salad got two people sick the same night.
We did not require the sommelier as we knew what wine to get.
Server brought me the bill without asking. Nobody at the table expected that)))
Place gets one star for the view.
Never again.

Magical views of London, great staff and wonderful atmosphere. We had the luck that succeeded with a drop in on afternoon tea (it's good if but book before).
But maybe not one hundred percent affordable - the scones were super good, but the sandwiches and the "sweets" a bit unimaginative and boring in the taste.

Lovely lunch and experienced the elevator menu which was yummy. We went for the full courses which I didnt think would be filling but was.

Not entirely convinced by the "sharing concept" - food coming at as its served is okay but didnt feel like it was the full sharing experience they said it would be.

Food was yum. Staff were ace. Would go again.

Great expirence, very attentive staff, amazing service and quality standards. Credit to chef and his team for providing delicious meal, this was first time in 40 years I did not use any sauces to make my food edible. Thank you to Chef and the team. Obviously, it is expensive, but one has to pay for good expirence. Crictic's should also do the math before complaining regarding the Price . Shard is a very expensive place in the city.

INTERIOR DESIGN is fabulous. Layout, materials, furniture are superb. Menu and staff are lovely. We went for brunch on Saturday and, frankly, didn't love the food. Also, there was a jazz pianist and singer (terrific) but it was impossible to talk. And very expensive to boot.

Unfortunately it was very sad experience as we did not get our expectation fulfilled.

You come here for the views, the price of the viewing is deferred to the food and drinks. The cocktails and bartenders are good, but some of the floor staff are a bit pushy and overly protective.
