The only attractions open were the ski lift, the alpine slide, the animal encounter and ice skating. Half the ice skating rink was closed off. All of the little kids rides were closed. The place was in disrepair. They closed at 6 instead of 8. We have been coming here many years and recommend this place to everyone that we discuss Gatlinburg with. However after this visit I will NOT be. The quality experience they once provided to families seems to have been discounted along with their military discount.

We was SO disappointed in this place! We thought everything was overrated and very expensive for what you get! The tram ride was crowded we couldn't enjoy it... they packed us in way to tight!

Complete ripoff. Lines to purchase tickets for any of the attractions took forever and the staff did not know where to send us to purchase tickets for the attractions. Too many people and a very inefficient process.

It might be getting a little crusty with age, but Ober Gatlinburg is still a great place to take a family too and has been since I was the kid, going there with my own parents in the 1980's. Prices are more than fair, especially as similar attractions have sprouted along the parkway over the years that ask a much higher price. OG really is the OG of this type of experience in Gatlinburg, and we'll be back over and over as the summer's go on!

Love going here even though I feel it could be a little more updated. Outside stuff is mainly only for kids. But I love seeing the animals and going to the leather store. Also, riding down the Mountain is fun.

Worst time ever. Wait in line 30 minutes for tickets then in line for 1.5 hours for the coaster. Was next to ride when they said they were closing the ride for rain. Down at the ticket office they said they dont give refund. WHAT?! I spent 75 dollars to stand in the cold for 2 hours? Fts

We bought tickets at 6:45 pm. Sadly, everything closes at 5pm. The person in the ticket booth did not tell us that. What a complete waste of time. Fortunately, we were able to get our money back.

Cable car experience was great! I was quite impressed by the weight capacity of one car! I would have liked to see more of the foliage but couldn't see due to people standing around me. Perhaps they can add seats around the edges so that everyone (including people standing in the middle) gets to experience the ride.

My party of 8 ( 4 adults and 4 kids ages 9,9, 5 and 1) bought wrist bands. We rode the tram and view is amazing but you are packed in there shoulder to shoulder. Everyone with the exception of the 1 year old loved the mountain coaster. We got there when it opened and there was no line to that. Even throughout the day the lines where short. There is a maze. It was fun for the kids but took forever. There is putt putt but we didn't play. There are 3 raft type water rides. I took my 1 year old because they said he could ride if he could walk on the open slide. I honestly felt like he was going to fly right off of it. So imo the water rides are not safe for small children/ toddlers. My 5yo and I rode the tunnel slide thats connected to the other slide and it drops off so hard it scared us both. Almost like it knocks the air out of you. The blue cyclone was rough for me. I rode with my 5 yo again and I scrapped both elbows on the sides to the point they were bleeding. I kept my arms inside at all times but it jerks you around so much that you still can hit the sides. That being said the older children loved that water rides and my 5 yo wanted to do the cyclone again but I refused to ride with her. They have a rock wall the kids loved. They have lots of tables to sit around and watch the kids do some of the rides. They have carnival type stuff like a chair swing and car type rides. The ski lift was fun but I feel like its unsafe for babies and toddlers. My 1 yo was asleep but if he would have started moving I would have been terrified. Pretty much the parent holds the child and there is no seat belts or anything preventing them from falling. Up top the mountain are the most amazing veiws. There is a band as well and a $2 soda machine. Wish they had more food options up there. We also did the alpine side. It was fun and I felt safe with my toddler. They have a mall.and restaurants but we didn't try anything in there. The older kids did ice skate. I thought the ice looked like it was melting. It was wet and slushy. My husband and 5yo paid extra for the bumper cars. They enjoyed it. We didn't go to see the bears. Our friends seen some on the chair lift thou. A a mama and cub. Overall I do think some stuff is unsafe but we had fun and there was plenty to do. We were there all day and didn't do it all. Now my family of 4 spent probably around $170. Was it worth it no I don't think so. Wish it was cheaper

When you do get to ski, it's a lot of fun for beginner-intermediate level skiers. Nice to have a close place to ski in East Tennessee. However, most of the time, parking is an absolute nightmare & the ticket/rental process could probably be a little more efficient

We werent there to long but staff were amazing, they went out of their way to help us out, i couldnt recommend this place enough, one vist was all it took to want to come back new year.

The overall atmosphere was fun and the prices were standard. The view from up top is amazing for sure. The one thing that made the visit for us was the experience at the Mountain Coaster. First of all, it is FAST lol and we had alot of fun but my GF lost her phone on the way down. Phone wasn't important it was just the pictures and such. Staff advised us to go to Guest Services and fill out a search form. A team leader im guessing named Charlie came down and talked to us, we were able to track her phone and Charlie and his team walked the tracks of the coaster and walked the mountain it seemed for her phone. Came back down and actually found the phone. Definitely will be coming back. Maybe with a phone lanyard next time lol thanks guys!

We saved about $50 for 4 of us and parked in the lot at the top of the mountain. We did the alpine slide and the summer tubing and weren't overly impressed. Staff was very friendly and it wasn't to crowded.

The views are great, and there's a lot to do. The inside definitely needs an update from the 70s look. But we were very disappointed with the procedure for the snow tubing. We bought tickets in advance, and nowhere were we advised to show up early. We went to the tubing area about 20 minutes before our reserved time to find a gigantic line to sign waivers and get waterproof tickets. There was one person working this ticket booth area, and it was for both tubing and the coaster. We finally got everything sorted half an hour into our hour and a half tubing session, but there were still people in line behind us. Very disappointed that we paid $25 each and only got to do 2/3 of what we paid for, and some people got less than that.

Love going to Gatlinburg and enjoy taking the Tram to Ober Gatlinburg to have a cocktail in the lounge and watch the skier, snowboarders etc... This time, the lounge (The Loft) was dirty, there were only two table of people, but dirty tables everywhere. The music was "Hard Metal". We had 1 cocktail and left. This place could be so much fun, but has been overlooked and not updated. As we were boarding the Tram to go back, we had to step over trash that was over flowing from the trash can. I understand not being able to take your drinks on the tram, but there was no excuse for this mess. It was a costly 30 minute trip between the $12 ticket for the Tram and the 1 drink we each had. Don't think we'll be back.

We had a great experience at Ober. Kids loved the Alpine Slides and also did the coaster once. It's a must do to take the chairlift all the way up. View is beautiful! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I only give it two because the ride up itself in the tram is beautiful. Here's where I'd give it one star. Your seasonal employees? Are rude, helpless and unwilling to help when you ask a queatuon. And their response to that question is in a tone like they were SO BOTHETED to have even been asked. Well guess what asshat...you work in a TICKET BOOTH so people have TICKET QUESTIONS.

THIS PLACE IS NOT LITTLE KID FRIENDLY! My family got yelled at 2 time because we did not get our strollers up in time when clearly we were trying to! We were not informed when we got on the tram what time the activities closed and there were no signs saying so when we were buying our tickets. We had a devastated little boy and we wasted 30 dollars! We use to be big fans of this place BUT WE WILL NEVER BE BACK! And will tell everyone that ask to avoid! Heartbroken!

Tram ride was great but the handling was unprofessional. Once up there you encounter another entertainment environment. We attended the Octoberfest in the main restaurant which had decent food for decent prices, but the Octoberfest environment was a little disappointing.

Do NOT waste your time or money!!! Absolutely worst stop on our vacation. It s a money pit that is incredibly unorganized. We bought snow tubing tickets and only got to go down 3 times due to the amount of people they shoved in our session. Be prepared to stand in multiple hour long lines ALL day! There s absolutely ZERO covid procedures put into place and The place is filthy! I will never be returning to Ober Mountain!!!

Wonderful all areas, the skating rink, the ski and snowboard, the games, the food, the shops. Very nice in the treatment and attention. The teaching to use skis and snowboard very good. I recommend you take time, visit Ober Gatinburg and spend unforgettable moments.
