Very overpriced. We bought the unlimited wristbands and half of the rides were not working and the other half looked like run down carnival rides. We picked this place over anakeesta due to them showing alot more activities but they were not at all what the website showed. We were very upset that we did. The tram ride up would be ok if they didn't pack you in like sardines. We couldn't see anything and we're pressed up against other sweaty people. I don't recommend wasting your money. Was built in the 70's and looks like it hasn't changed since

First, l was excited since l reached this place online the night before. Website doesn t show the actual times of certain activities closes in which close 3 hours earlier then actual close time of the park. Wait time for tram was over 3 hours in the cold then to wait again to purchase tickets for the activities. We purchased tickets around 11:30am didn t even up at top of mountain til 430pm. Then wait another hour to catch tram back. If you go just prepare yourself to wait for activities and food!

Even though we were here in the summer there is still lots to do here. There is an ice skating rink inside as well as a carousel. You can ride a lift to the top for a spectacular view. It is a ski lift in the winter. Awesome place!

Oktoberfest was not good. The options for food were good but the actual food was not. I ordered the bavarian platte and it came with the right stuff bit there was a pool pf water in the plate. Our server was inattentive... wanted to change my drink but I didn't see her at all until i finished my meal at which point i just decided to finish it.

Views were nice though. Not a lot to do up there though.

Enjoyed the visit, but it was very crowded with long lines. Tram ride was cool. Snow tubing was fun, purchased tickets well in advance (because holiday peek time sells out quickly). A little costly and definitely need patience with the lines but fun adventure.

We had a ball . Loved seeing the animals.. the lunch at the little cafe inside was really pricy . Just for 2 fries 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks.. $30.. it was good but I wouldn't pay that again..

Traffic is backed up to the main road and there is one guy parking cars, most of the 100 cars trying to get in were turned away. We spent 1 hour getting lift passes, 1 hour to get boots and 1 hour to revive skis. We could not get on the slops until 230pm. There is only one slope for Medium level skiers, most of the slopes are Black Diamonds and to dangerous for 80% of the people there. It was not this way in the years past. I have been going to Ober for years, I am local to Knoxville. The crew has seemed to changed for the worse. The gentleman at the end collecting skis said to the crowd We make tons of money and want to go home! I also witnessed the gentleman at the ONLY medium level lift belittling a couple for not being able to get on the lift fast enough they were from Mexico
I felt he would have kicked me out, if I tried to say anything. He was obviously was very angry and it showed. Furthermore multiple employees did not wear any face coverings and the tourist and packed in like sardines.

Ober Gatlinburg is always a good time to spend the day. The off ski season offers a variety of options. Yes, these options cost money. Yes, the options are not the most up-to-date. If those two items are your focus, you are missing the point. In today's world it is nice to have a nice family outing. The scenic chair lift provides a peaceful trip to the top of the mountain with outstanding views and a bluegrass band. The ice skating is not Olympic ice, but provides a good place for kids to try out ice skating and parents to remember if they can skate. The Alpine sleds are great to partner up with a young child for a trip down the hill.
Ober is a good option that is off the strip and has enough activities to keep a family engaged for an afternoon.

Absolute snooze fest the only fun thing is the coaster and that s mediocre compared the any amusement park. Extremely expensive and it s a joke and a half compared to the roller coaster capital of the world cedar point.

The indoor bumper cars and ice skating were really nice. We tried ice skating for the first time and it was all worth it. It was a great experience. The mountain coaster and the slides were great too. We took the cable car ride up to the top of the mountain, which was long and cool. Great views on one side from the top of the mountain.

Please read important information:
Due to high demand of Ski and Snowboard Rental equipment on Weekend & Holiday Periods, we may need to suspend Rental sales when we reach capacity (before normal closing times). We will have real-time updates on our Twitter Feed. Individual lift tickets will still be available to purchase for those that have their own equipment. Thank you and we wish you a safe and fun New Year!
High demand and the large number of guests on Weekends & Holiday Periods during peak hours, may cause a wait time of 2 or more hours via the Tramway or full parking on the mountain. Please see Ober s twitter feed for up to date info.

This really could have been a lot more enjoyable if they didn t book so many people at one time. I don t feel like I got my money s worth in tubbing because the line was so long! In 90 minutes we tubed down only 5 times, and to me that is not what I was expecting. If you have children you will have to stand in line for who knows how long waiting to get on the tramway. There s a zigzag line to get in and you have no clue if your going to make it on the tramway. They should have it sectioned off as to how many people can fit on the tram so your waiting in the tramway line for an hour! They really good do a better job at this! And when we got here there are no signs marking where to go. If you print off your tickets online you have to find customer services and get another tickets to attach to you for tubbing. Also make sure you don t take any of your belongs with you because there are no lockers near the tubbing area and you will have to put it in the tub with you. This is NOT enjoyable if you have a few kids with you!! LONG lines and LONG waits!!!!

It was a beautiful experience! i only wish it was a sunny day then the view would have been just amazing. However, the tramway aerial ride isn't for the faint hearts or those who suffers from vertigo.

We enjoyed visiting Ober Gatlinburg. While we were there we went on the mountain coaster which was a blast and did the scenic chair lift to the top of a very tall lookout point. The lines for things weren't bad at all. They had an October fest going on as well so we got to try dinner German beer and sausage while we were there

There are a few fun things to do here. The mountain coaster is fun but be prepared to wait a long time in a slow moving line. The Alpine Slide is probably my favorite. There is also snow tubing and skiing when the slopes are open along with indoor ice skating. I suggest parking in Gatlinburg and riding the tram up if it's open but you can also drive up.

Such a hidden gem! We would have never known how great this place was if it wasn't for our Air BNB neighbors giving us the scoop! A PERFECT place to spend the day and knock out a lot of things on your bucket list for 1 affordable price.

Came to take my kids ice skating, we normally go to market square in Knoxville tn and love it. Came here because people were saying the rink was larger so we thought we would give it a shot. The rink was horrible with bumps and dips, the skates were falling apart so they were cutting into everyone s feet. People were all over the rink taking pics which stopped us from even trying to skate. I went and talked to the staff about everyone just using the ice for pictures they said yes that s not allowed but did nothing about it. I absolutely would not recommend this place at all for ice skating

This is the first thing you should start with if you are planning to enjoy combinations of rides and other activities. All in one. Prices are cheaper as compared to other individual ride based attractions at ground level.

Only thing here is for a family of 4/5 cost to sky lift will be high. Better take your own car where you will be taken by sky lift itself. A long hilly car drive though but will save ~100 $ which you can then use in attractions on the top of very fast hill top.

Great time! Took my granddaughter. The staff was very helpful, since this was our first time. We visited the animal park while we were waiting for our ride time and was very impressed with the young staff member who fed the otters. She was a joy to talk to and seemed knowledgeable about the animals. What a blessing to hear a young lady talk so smart and seemed to love her job. Wish I knew her name. Someone needs recognize her for being so smart. Thanks for a great time.

Amazing fun and spectacular views. Spent all day there with 4 kids. BEST money we spent the entire time. So many things to do, and we purchased the bracelets for unlimited rides on the attractions. Can't wait to go back!

I bought our aerial tram tickets in advance and got there early and still waited 2 hours in line, which I know your website states is a possibility. But then we get there and we waited 45 minutes to get signed up for the skiing because you refuse to allow people to make reservations, then waited equally long to get rental equipment which again could not be rented in advance, and then waited 1.5 hours in line for food because there was one, seriously one poor person taking orders. One!

By the time we got out to the slopes it was after 6 PM and we had spent a grand total of 5 hours just standing in lines. Then we get to the ski school and they tell us they re closed. We specifically asked when lessons were and they told us every hour top of the hour til 8 PM. So we bought lessons for 6 people and they took our tickets and shoved us into the absolute saddest excuse for 20 minutes of an ending lesson, and they only did that because I threw a fit that we had kids with us and they had never been on slopes before and we had been in lines all day. The lesson was awful. I ve had plenty of ski lessons over my life time and this was the absolute worst. We spent 45 min on the slopes after the terrible 20 minute lesson before it closed, after having been waiting in lines all day long. It was horrible the biggest waste of precious time on a holiday. The ice rink wasn t open, the place was woefully under staffed, I don t think the ski instructor had much experience and if he did that s even worse, and the guy running the ski lift to Cub Way did not speak English. He literally told me he didn t speak English. How is that safe? He was running a ski lift with children on it and he could not even tell me where the lift went to!

The customer service and the whole experience in general was inexplicably, inexcusably horrendous. We paid nearly $1500 to stand in lines all day and experience awful customer service. Whoever owns this place should be ashamed. It was a disgrace!

First time ever going out of all the years I've been coming down here. For our first time as a family it was a great experience. Everyone was friendly and helpful today and lines were short for a nice day. I'd go again on my next vacation here!

Didn't like the fact that when you get to the top, they had bears you could go see......for the small price of $8 per person....you'd think that would be included in the price to get up there, which was $15 per person!!!!

Had a lot of fun. Had not skied in 20 years. Only complaint was the instructors did not give much instruction to my 8 year old. It was her first time on skies. Ended up teaching myself and she did great. Definitely will go back!
