Ice skating was fun. Was super busy. Lots of people skating around with their phones out taking videos not paying attention even though it's posted no phones or cameras on ice. Lots of people not going with the flow of traffic, need some staff to direct things since people can't be trusted to do the right thing.

Visited for Oktoberfest. We all had a blast, the themeing was great and atmosphere was very festive. You can pay for just what you want to do without an entry fee so it's as expensive or cheap as you want to make it.

Well, not my cup of tea. You would get lovely views from the tram ride up...if it wasn't packed so full you cannot see out of the windows. When you get to the top it was like an abandoned ski resort. Obviously, it's off season but we just kind of wondered around. There was nothing clearly marked and it looks like they have seen better days. We found the ticket area but everything was a-la cart which wasn't appealing, either. We were there for approximately 30 mins. Wish we had done one of the ski life rides instead, at least we would have been able to see the area from above.

It was very pricey considering that the attraction we wanted to do most was closed. The guy collecting our 10 dollars to park told us everything was opened!
The mountain Coaster was what my teenagers wanted to do the most, but we loved the Alpine Slide!

The rest of this review is going to sound pretty good, so I wanted to first explain why I m taking off two stars. Hands down, it s the facilities. The tram station in Gatlinburg and the main building up the mountain it takes you to are very much showing their age. They don t look great. They are dark and meh. For a tourist attraction that has to make money hand over fist, it s time to invest some of that back into the facilities.

That being said, besides the price of some things, it s a pretty great place to go. There is something to do for all ages. Shopping for the adults, rides and attractions for the kids. I still can t skate, but their ice rink is the place I first out on a pair of skates. There s an ice bumper car thing that now takes up some of the rink so it s not full-size for skating like it used to be. Their alpine slide and alpine coaster are both a blast. And I really enjoyed seeing the bears, otters, and other animals at their mini zoo that were rescued wildlife that can t survive in the wild. All in all, a great experience, but it s definitely time to spruce things up a bit.

We came here with such high expectations for a safe fun time with snow tubing but I have never felt more unsafe given the current COVID situation. More than half of the people INSIDE were not wearing masks at all and those that were did not wear them properly (under the chin, hanging from an ear, under their nose). This was not just happening with kids or older people, it was all ages. The inside area with tickets and food were overcrowded and the staff were not enforcing the Tennessee state Mask regulation. We ended up leaving and returning later for our snow tubing with hopes that it would be better outside. When we returned we went around the building so we didn t have to go back inside and then stood in line for our tubing session. Here again 3/4th of the people were not wearing masks, including the workers. How can you expect people to wear a mask if the employees aren t and don t enforce it? There is NO social distancing in this line and there ends up being 3 lines side by side which crams more people into a small space with no mask. Then you go into an enclosed tube with people not wearing masks

If I could give this zero stars strictly for their safety measures and enforcement I would. The snow tubing itself was fun but the ride lasted 30 seconds and then you were back in line with 150 maskless people. Places like this that don t enforce safety measures are why thousands of people are contracting COVID every single day.

What a disappointment... from organization to customer service. We purchased snow tubing tickets online for our kids. We stopped in the day before our reservation to see if there were any additional tickets available (we had been checking for weeks, but we were only able to purchase 2). We also called - no luck. When we arrived 2 hours before our reservation, we were told the tram wait was 2.5 hours long. We were told to try the top of the mountain parking. No luck there. We called 3 more times to figure out what we should do. On the last call (every CS agent was rude BTW), we were told to tell the transportation supervisor that we had reservations for tubing and we could skip the line. We said that would have been nice to know one of other 5 times we inquired. We were told "well we depend on the customer to ask the right questions". We bought our tram tickets, skipped in line (which was now 3 hours long), took the tram crammed full of people not wearing masks (because it wasn't enforced - ANYWHERE) and arrived to snow tube 30 minutes past our reservation time. Had to wait in another line at Will Call to get our physical tickets. Finally made it to the snow tubing area and they wouldn't let me help my 7-year-old with his tube. He made it to the top and didn't know what to do since they have 4 people at the bottom literally yelling at people but only one person at the top to assist. We watched our kid helplessly cry at the top of the slope for 10 minutes until I finally had enough. The attendants wouldn't "allow" me to go get him. I was beyond at this point. Never, never, never tell a mother she can not go to her upset child. We immediately left. Everyone we encountered was uninformed, disinterested and could care less about being kind or helpful. Save your money. Go enjoy the national forest hikes.

Great place for family fun. Didn't know that Gatlinburg had so many attractions downtown. Friendly locals and staff wherever we went. You can definitely spend the whole day exploring getting to know the area. The highlight was taking the Tram up the mountain. Gorgeous views. A place to come back? Absolutely!!

$10 to park, Cool yeah that's probably because of all the great views or fun stuff or environment... Nope. To do anything it costs more money. Views? Not unless you're willing to pay 40 or more for your family to ride the Ober tram... Don't get me wrong, seeing the local Amish community ice skating was interesting... But I don't think it was worth the $10. If you are going to visit and pay this cash, just don't do it during the day. The rides just look run down and it seemed almost like a ghost town...

Beautiful views going up/down on tram. The aerial view really showed how close the fire got to downtown Gatlinburg.
Ice-rink open year round. Ice bumper cars were new. We didn't ride them. But they just used 1/4 of the ice rink and it looks unfinished at how they have it divided.

Place is dated and in need of some TLC, but biggest complaint was the service. Employees were rude and clearly unhappy to be there. One employee actually had his head down sleeping at the ticket counter (he was the least rude of my interactions). In the end the value wasnt there. Everything is priced too high for the entertainment. Would not recommend.

Very disappointed in the animal exhibit. They are not abused but even my son said it was just wrong in the enclosures and the way the were presented. He is only 10 and want to close this exhibit down.

Fun place if you want to Ice skate, ride a ski lift, snow tube etc. i am from the south and we never get snow so I may rank it higher than someone that gets snow yearly. The Homemade snow is more like ice slivers but it IMO it serves the purpose. I'm sure real snow would make the experience a lot better.

If you want to snow tube get there early to buy your tickets. I left the wife and kids in the cabin asleep and went and got the tickets. I was there at 7:00 A.M. You are paying for an hour long slot to tube. The slot my kids got in looked to be full. They were so many people that they only tubed 4 times in that hour. We were there the day after Christmas so I'm sure it is one of there busiest times.

The kids loved the ice skating. For $9 you get three hours of ice time. When we were there they would recondition the ice every 2 hours. You would be off the ice 20 minutes for the floor to ice back over.

We have never tried to snow ski so I can't put it in my review.

There is a lounge if you feel the need for a cocktail or beer. We ordered chili cheese fries, chicken tenders, fries and two drinks for $19 at the fast food booth.

My kids love to ice skate so we will be back!

Okay lets start with the pros. Loved the snow tubing and the roller coaster absolutely a great time. The tram ride was fantastic. Great views and the visibility was great! The cons are as follows its a bit over priced so if you plan on doing alot have some money on you. Also the scenic chair lift to the peak of the mountain was closed. I was disappointed about that. But overall worthy of a solid 4. Would do it again.

It is "OK" for the price. I would give it 4 stars if it were about half the admission price or if they included unlimited Mountain Coaster access. Neither will happen so it will remain a 2.5 to 3 star rating.

The gondola ride up was good but the rest was a waste. The rides were overpriced. They wouldn't let us use the only free thing, the playground, because the rain was off and on (probably to make more money because they had to shut down the bigger rides of the coaster and the slide). The staff were not helpful, in fact, rude. The worst part was that the rain prevented the return trip on the gondola. They had only two buses that fit 14 people each. They made us wait for 45 minutes in a tight confined hallway without seating for the elderly or communication from their staff about what to expect. Couldn't get us off that mountain fast enough. Never again. The whole town of Gaitlinburg was a total waste.

We wasted our morning waiting on our snow tubing reservation and they told us as we were in line to go that it was closed. They could have let us know 1st thing but didn't tell us until we were in line to tube.
