Oakland Marriott City Center, Oakland Convention Center and Courtyard Oakland Downtown Review

This hotel did a good job as a venue for a large attendance 24hr videogame event.

Only really saw the lobby and the restaurant as I was working a tournament in the attached convention center. Seems nice but not super modern. Carpeted convention center is nice for the feet.

Great central location, one block away from 12th St. BART station. Attended a conference in the event venue attached to the Marriott. Spaces were large, bathrooms were clean. Staff did their job, handling security, greeting, or cleaning.

The dinning and happy hour was dope. And the service was amazing. Great place to watch the game after work

It's Oakland. Downtown. So expect that. But rest is great

Very nice hotel located in downtown Oakland. I came here for a conference, staff was very courteous, service was top notch.

Man I lost my laptop but because of the great generosity of the marriot hotel staff/security I recovered my laptop back.And to add the icing on top of the cake I had great customer service at this hotel and felt like the employees but there customers first like how any great business is supposed to be.

This hotel hosted an awards dinner I attended. It was near my office, accessible from BART, and is COMPLETELY UNION. I approve. There were 2 very similar events going on, but they had well placed signage and employees available to answer basic questions.

Nice hotel. Very nice modern redesigned rooms. Great views on the coast side. Super nice and large M lounge. Great staff. Bart is literally across the street for quick access into the city. Great stay.

Went to a large outdoor area on the 5th floor for an event.

Excellent in every way ! Room, cleanliness, beds, bathroom, televisions, view !! The only thing in the neighborhood at night is medium heavy, many homeless, much loitering. I do not recommend leaving the hotel after sunset !!
Valet parking is not included in the room and it is not cheap.
The subway is a good option to cross into San Francisco.

What an excellent hotel! Perfect location, beautiful rooms, and an impeccable staff, in both apperance and demeanor. We had such a wonderful experience here and would recommend to anyone. The only downside would be the price of the breakfast buffet, but the quality, selection, and service made it acceptable. Thanks City Center Marriott for make our New Year's Extravaganza even more enjoyable!

Another overly complicated experience. Being a platinum member has very few benefits. Policies need to be reviewed and employees need more authority.

Went to the collage expo here they have good food but you can't bring food in

Nice lobby, friendly staff, and cozy rooms. Conveniently located right downtown near many restaurants.

Nice hotel. Modern rooms, great bar and members lounge. Parking excessively expensive.

Had no reception in a lot of the building and wifi was 15 bucks a night.

Customer service was very good and the employees friendly, rooms where clean and nice

We have really enjoyed our stay here and have ended up here more than once. The staff are helpful and accommodating, no matter how much is going on around them.

I was very upset when I first arrived and found out that overnight valet was $40! I was not told there would be an added cost of parking when I made the reservation over the phone. Self parking was $30. Still outrageous. But after parking was worked out, everything else was fantastic service from everyone who worked with myself and my ill parents. The kindest staff from the valet to the breakfast lady. Speaking of breakfast, it was one of the best layouts I've ever had at a hotel. I stuffed myself full. The room was quite modern and very clean. Staying there was a big treat for us.

Convenient to San Francisco. Gym is great. Nice hotel restaurant but expensive. Cookies and popcorn in lobby.

Clean rooms nice view, but dirty windows, air conditioning sucks,fridge dont really work, food is on the pricey side and not very good

Rooms are a bit smaller and be prepared to wait for very slow elevators (no easy stair access for lower floor rooms either), but comfortable and in a great location near Swan.

Well presented and ideally located hotel in Oakland. The staff are really pleasant and there is a small store in the reception, plus a restaurant and food services in the building too. There is a gym which is ok and free to use, plus an outdoor pool on the 4th floor, which are often not busy too, so you've got them pretty much to yourself. There is a metro (Bart) literally directly outside the hotel, taking you to San Fran or sourounding areas in minutes, and is pretty cheap to use too. There rooms are a good size and really nicely decorated and furnished, large screen and lots of entertainment available on it. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

There was a strike going on while I stayed that was very disturbing

The hotel after updates is the best place to stay in Oakland. The ambience is both homely and party-like with elegance you would expect from a full-service Marriott. The rooms are very well done as well with decor inspired by port nearby and the lighting is relaxing and cleverly subtle, especially around the bed.The Club is great too.

The place was clean and perfect location... but the best part of our visit was Olma who greeted us and checked us in. They were so friendly and started our trip off perfect. Thank you Olma! It was a wonderful start to a birthday weekend

AC unavailable, only had heating, worst hotel I've been to because of this. everything else is good.

The staff was super nice and helpful. Kraken Con (the convention being held there) was a great fit and everything was very well organized.

Not impressed. We have reservations for 3 rooms next to each other. Apparently one of the occupants from the previous nights wouldn't leave so instead we had one couple on a totally different floor and only got one of the other two rooms we reserved because nothing was ready before 5pm and we needed to get ready for a wedding. The rooms were clean and reasonably priced, but who cares if you don't get your reservation.

The location was excellent and the rooms were nice, although we were not given a roll-out bed even though we had requested one in the reservation. The service was alright, perhaps a trifle indifferent.

The staff was excellent, the West Hall was amazing and everything about the center atmosphere and all was splendid. Would definitely stay there if I had the chance

Attended for Genesis 5. Service staff was nice, bathrooms and entire venue were clean, the bar and restaurant were worth the price as well.

Nice hotel for us in a good location. Only down side was the coffee in the room. Was supposed to have teas included but there was nothing. Everything else very nice.

Here for a work conference. Meals were fairly good for hotel food. Rooms were very clean.

Went here for a business event. The rooms were set up very nicely and they stocked water throughout the rooms. Great venue for a business meeting.

Great hotel in a great part of town. The best part is the staff. I used to stay yhere all the time and had a few year gap. When I stayed there a few weeks ago, Tony remembered me. How awesome.

WORST HOTEL EVER!!!! This is a Marriott? I'm only rating this 1 star because it won't let me give it 0. This hotel is more like a money scam. They will keep charging your card with random charges days after you check out.

Clean. Good, friendly service. Nice pool area, though it was a bit cold to really enjoy it. Rooms had great views, and were very modern.

Super comfortable room. Excellent customer service. Easy access to BART.
