I have been to The O2 many a time. I ve seen; The Spice Girls, Lee Evans, Mickey Flanagan, Disney On Ice, etc. All of these experiences have been in the G4S VIP Boxes at the Arena. All of them were brilliant & I couldn t fault it, but on my first experience at the arena outside of VIP I was disgusted with my experience. This is why I have ranked my rating as a 2, just to find the balance, as usual one bad experience can outweigh all the positives.
I went with my husband and several friends to the Star Wars Exhibition & found the wheelchair/accessibility services appalling. As someone who has extremely limited mobility these days, I was asked to walk half way round the arena to the entrance of the Star Wars Exhibit, as not one staff member was willing to come to the entrance to assist my party. Usually, I would have been in my own wheelchair but that morning it had broken down so I had no choice but to use the venues wheelchair facilities. It took over an hour to find me a wheelchair & get me into the exhibit. My husband and carer had to physically carry me to exhibit entrance. I sent in a formal complaint but never heard back from anyone. It s safe to say that I shall not be revisiting The O2 anytime in the near future, out of fear of discrimination & major disrespect.
It is such a shame, I have spent thousands of pounds at this venue over the years & I can say hand on heart, that I have never been treated so appallingly by a big venue before.
