Never disappointed when I stay at the Hilton Chicago O'Hare Airport. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are attentive and friendly. Always enjoy staying here and it is right on the airport grounds!
Used since 20 years (only in emergencies), never changed. And this is not a compliment.
The hotel is a perfect option for cold (or hot) weather. Award travel mandated multiple tickets for the itinerary and the end result is the one night O'Hare booking. The hotel is attached to the airport limiting the to/from O'Hare. Travel to/from O'Hare is not entertaining.
The room was nice but somewhat small. The location was convienent to get to the airport but inconvinent if you wanted to go anywhere else
Staying for business. Easy access to the L train and downtown. The restaurant and bar area are really nice. Being connected to the airport is a big plus, since now I don't have to worry about renting a car.
Huge airport can find different kind if food. Can be crowded at time
Beds super comfortable. Carpeting and chair in room could be updated.
Practicality! Truly an airport hotel! Accessing via ORD terminal 2, just a short walk to reach the lobby.
As reported by other customers, I also faced problems with cleanliness, but the front desk manager adequately solved the problem, that is, as a loyal Diamond customer I was especially pleased by the guest service.
I hope this brief report will help other travelers in the Trip Advisor community choose their next hotel.

I have lived in Chicago all my life and do not write bad reviews for local business with this being the only exception. I recently missed a flight which was late in the evening and decided to get the very next plane first thing in the am. Now, instead of going to my home I decided to just try this hotel. Mistake! First, at check in I was told the nightly rate was $189.99 but was charged $289.99. I called to complain about the additional charge and was the manager had checked me in so, they would have never made a mistake. The guy basically called me a liar. Adding insult to injury is the fact that my total bill was $388.00. What was the money for? A pizza. Seriously, the worst but, most expensive pizza I had have eaten. These people are crooks and treat you like an idiot. I stayed in their lovely hotel for a total of 5 hours which was enough to get taken for a serious ride. Avoid this place like the plague.
They awesome... But if check out time is 11 am . Your not walking out of the hotel until about 6pm... So you might as well be prepared . Between the two lobby restaurants. The spa and stores... Your going home broke. But happy. And you'll have something to show for it. The networking here is awesome plenty of charging space.... Food for all price ranges kid friendly. Lots of security.
A bit confusing getting here from international terminal. Signage could be better. Friendly check in. Our room has heavy odor of cigarettes covered up by men s cologne. Expensive but convenient for flying in and out of Chicago. The bell man watched us struggle with our bags. I guess we don t look impressive enough to assist. Too bad I m a big tipper. His loss. The smell though is to much for me to rate this property any more than 2 stars
Very clean and elegant quiet even tho it's by the airport
Dinner at Andiamo was excellent. There's a recliner in my room, enough said!
This airport is truly massive. We taxiid around the airport after landing for about half an hour. I think I ran through the hallway from Home Alone, which was awesome. My card was declined while trying to get a metro card due to a bank misunderstanding, but a very generous officer let me through the gate.
Very good customer service and its great place to view the airplane runway
Great meeting and staying spot adjoining O Hare Airport. Can go straight from the plane to the hotel without stepping outside, a plus in the often-challenging Windy City weather. Rooms were comfortable and amazingly quiet, even when looking out upon the always bustling departures ramp.
Fitness center was well-stocked and in great condition, meeting rooms perfect for the cause. Staff made it their mission to make stay incredible - everyone friendly and helpful.
Only negative was the significant amount of peeling paint, water damage, and concerning ceiling bulges in the bathroom.
Nice hotel. Spent some time there with an out of town visitor, congested parking lot.
Kind of dirty. Ridiculous prices on everything. Be ready to walk into the airport.
Eat before you go the airport. The food is super expensive. Hub 51 has burger and fries 17 bucks just nuts
Very convenient to the airport. Can easily walk to most terminals in a few minutes. 3 overpriced restaurants on site. $20 for a salad with no meat is extreme which is probably their cheapest item available
For the price of the room it could have been larger. We were stuck next to a utility room which employees were in and out all night slamming the door and then a few times the smell of weed was wafting through our room. The little convience food store wanted 14 dollars for a bottle of water.
No (community) microwave???? The holiday inn has a microwave in the room but not a Hilton? Ridiculous. Then they have the nerve to tell me if i want a microwave i would have to pay $40. They have a refrigerator but no microwave. Common sense much? Nickel and dime for what? The room is already expensive enough. Never again.
The hotel s environment is clean and clean. This transit hotel is located between the first, second and third domestic terminals, plus the Blue Line MRT to downtown Chicago, and the transportation is quite convenient.
Great airport, easy to maneuver and travel from gate to connection gate.
I wish this Hilton were better. Plusses: location, good beds, clean small pool and gym. Minuses: tired look and feel throughout, broken room furnishings (2 broken lamps in my room), unworkably slow unsecured internet (under 4mbps - too slow to even use video or a VPN) long waits for check-in (20 minutes for me). The We'll Make It Right/ Contact Us card has no contact info on it. Made me laugh. People are nice, but for the price, the O'Hare Hilton is too run-down and sloppy. I stay there only when connecting through O'Hare and to use the pool.
This hotel sucks. He front desk staff are horrible. This is the first Hilton that charges to use he fitness center (almost 23 dollars). In addition, their internet is ridiculously slow. Being a Hilton Honors member does not help neither. Stay somewhere else.
Clean and comfortable, what more could you ask for?
Convenience convenience convenience. Love being able to simply walk over to the terminals. Nice rooms, good staff, fair food. We stay here before and sometimes after trips.
We ate a pizza at the bar. The food was ok and the service was decent. Nothing outstanding
What a joke. I ended up here because of a screw up with American airlines. The room they gave me was dark, dingy, and had a super uncomfortable Murphy bed. The cafe there refused to take my meal voucher because it wasn't printed. I don't carry a printer around with me when I'm traveling, sorry.
I'm honors gold, and they treated me like trash. Joke's on them. I had a 4-day reservation booked in March for that very same hotel that they've just lost.
It is very convenient to be able to stay at this hotel when you have a very early flight.
Stopped here for dinner during a layover. Jaime was great and the food was as well
We booked a family member 19 years of age a room at your hotel . She arrived at 1:30 am to be told she can't stay in your hotel because it has a minibar unless she has ID showing she's 21. YOU LEFT HER STRANDED !!! Is your hotel run by humans? Or Bureaucrats . Who doe's this to a fellow humane being.
Location relative to terminal 3 is awesome. The extra sleep mattered.
This was an unanticipated stay. Our flight was canceled and the airline gave us a hotel voucher to spend the night and fly out the next morning. Even though we were not in the best mood, the hotel was so close to the airport that we only had to walk across the street which made things a little easier. We had food vouchers that we also used in the sports bar for a cheeseburger and fries (burger was cooked to order and delicious). The hotel had a gift shop where my husband purchased mouthwash and a shirt since he didn't have a carry-on. The gift shop was cheaper than the shirts at some of the shops in the airport. It's not a new ultra modern hotel, but the room was clean, and it was more than adequate for our stay. The employees we encountered were all friendly.
Location is great for an overnight stay, if you miss your connection, etc. But the internet speed is rather slow, and the heater doesn't work properly.
If you're here it's for a meeting or your flight has been cancelled. There is no usb in the room to charge not even on the back of the TV. I will say you can't hear the planes taking.
Room had a great view of planes taking off. Loved the digital key app. Room was clean. Service was great. Dessert via room service was delish.
Clean hotel, nice staff, food prices were kind of high
Love OHare - especially Nuts on Clark Chicago mix popcorn! Lots of places to eat and things to look at.
Great. Several third party companies have paid to book your room there...scan
Convenient but slow check in at night and they have a rude front clerk. When I get her name I will post it.
Just walked through the lobby and lower level but seemed very nice. The only reason I would stay here is it being the only hotel on the airport.
$25 for early check-in. The most negligent breakfast wait staff in Chicago (and perhaps the world). We had to take our bill to the hostess because the waiters ignored us completely. Prices in the restaurants, gift/snack shop, and business center are a tragic comedy. This hotel is actively looking for ways to give you the finger. It resents you for staying there. It resents its own existence. Two stars for convenient location, a clean room, and the friendly housekeeping staff.
The place to get some rest . always accommodating .
This hotel is not like other Hiltons I am accustomed to. It's much more utilitarian, which is understandable as it is not a destination itself. The staff is brisk and disinterested to the point of almost being rude. The parking is limited to the airport parking garage or valet for an outrageous fee. I'm a Hilton Honors member, but next time I'll take a shuttle to another hotel nearby O'Hare.
One of the worst hotel experiences i have had in a long time. Extremely frustrating. I do not normally post negative reviews, but this is some of the worst customer service and staff planning that I have seen in years. They are extremely understaffed, and front desk assistance takes incredibly long. I would never stay at this hotel by my own choosing again. Not enough staff at front desk to accommodate travelers coming in. Took me an hour to check in, almost as long to get a replacement room key.
Bottom line...Hilton I hope you get this message and get your act together for O'Hare
Convenient to the airport but some of the rooms are in need of maintenance
The only hotel within the airport so convenient for long stop overs. Don't take the tunnel as it takes a longer route. Just walk on the street unless too cold. I stayed for the day part and that's actually cquite expensive considering that you are still paying about 2/3rd and above of the room rate only for a few hours. The problem is that the online booking websites have discounts on regular rates while you pay full price for day stay.
Rooms are nice and quiet despite being at the airport and you can get a good sleep. The cleaning staff will be in the hallway almost all the time so use some white noise if you want good sleep. They will not knock on your door since they know you are day stay.
The gym is really good and similar to a good (but not the best ones) commercial gym.
Get your own water to the gym as there is no fountain and you don't wanna pay several dollars for a 5 cent bottle water.
They have a restaurant that is pricey and has ok food for Chicago standards.
The reception staff are efficient but at times appear rude since they are in a hurry. Example, I told them to check for a particular handicap room rate and was told that that room and rate is not available. Actually, the lady did not bother to check it. I checked and booked that room online and then checked in unnecessary inconvenience and waste of time for me!
I'm taking one star away for this and the relatively high price for a day stay and limited food choices.
Nice place to stay in, great view, comfortable bed.
It does not serve your air conditioner and it was snowing. Very old facilities. The room had a very steep inclination, it is easy to lose balance. The sheets washed, but with stains. The carpets and old furniture. Attention in excellent reception. For its facilities I put a star, I expected something better, for being at the airport. I do not recommend it, it is heard from one room to another, the same happens, with people walking in the hallway.
I wish that I could give zero stars for this hotel. They charge for absolutely EVERYTHING! The fitness room, microwave, and Wi-Fi are not including without a fee. The price for these things are ridiculously high priced. The bathroom is veryyyyy small and the maintenance man had to come and change the thermostat. The beds are very comfortable and the showers are a delight, but that's about it. This hotel doesn't have a genuine concern to accommodate customers needs. That's my main reason for the rating. If you have other options, please take advantage of them.
This is about my 3rd or 4th time adding something to this review. So, today there was a stalker in the hotel. The guy saw us by the steam room and he did a 180 and walked towards us. We thought that was very suspicious behavior, so we immediately entered the elevator and hit the button to our floor in dire panic. Once we got on our floor, I dialed to the front office from the phone in the hall to tell them the situation and what do you know! The freaking stalker guy is getting off the elevator further away from us. We then ran down 5 flights of stairs into the main lobby to tell security. The man followed us down the stairs as well, but he must have went back up, because once security took us back upstairs the guy was hiding in the stairway. We wondered how in the world did he know which floor we were on? The security officer told us that the elevator where the gym is let him know because it shows above the elevator. We then had to transfer to another room. The security said that he was trespassing. They said they give people warnings at first and if they see him again that's when they call the police. My question is, what was the guy going to do? We didn't have our purse, so money wasn't an option. See, the hotel is literraly connected to the airport. That's easy access for ANYONE to get in and possibly harm someone. The security was more than helpful and I appreciate their help, but this was beyond crazy. Mabye the manager should enforce higher security measures.
Yuck, I've stayed in hundreds upon hundreds of Hiltons and have never had a more disgusting stay before. We're giving this 2 stars only because of the proximity to O'Hare. Quick Rundown... Extremely lumpy and old matress, mildewy floors, room reeked of cigarette smoke, bathroom vent had wet toilet paper shoved into. When we stay at a Hilton affiliated hotel we have come to expect a particular level of cleanliness and sanitation that was extremely lacking here. What a shame, as I've stayed here in years past and they were doing a much better job. Hopefully some they'll get their act together sometime soon for the health of their guests.
This is a nice hotel, nothing fancy for a standard room but worked for the night. The staff at the front office and cafe were very nice. Some cons are that you can hear everything that is going on in the hallway and outside. I was on the third floor and I can hear people yelling on the streets and cars driving by, I am also near the elevator so I get to hear it beep every time someone comes to the floor. This is not the hotel for you if you are a light sleeper.
It's an ok place for a layover. Room was surprisingly quiet (not silent of course) considering the proximity of departing Jets.
Check-in took 40 minutes due to other traveler's flight cancellations.
Basic room with minimal amenities, internet access from room is available for an added fee.
"MONETIZE EVERYTHING!!" must be the command from Hilton upper management. Yes, the room was quiet, functional, adequate. What I did not like was (a) being charged $15.00 ($16.80 after tax) to use the fitness center and (b) myself and my business colleagues being told that we would need to pay a $15.00 surcharge per person to sit in the sports bar at lunchtime and just have non-alcoholic ice-teas. We went to stand in the chair-less lobby and wait for our luncheon which was at 11:45AM instead. The room rate was $355/night but I got a special rate of $229/night ($268.85 after taxes). Oh yes, the overnight parking was $75 per night and a very-average breakfast for two was $76, so bring lots of currency if you plan on staying and don't even think of sitting in the lobby area!!!
BEDBUGS BEDBUGS!!!!! Stayed one night, my daughter just graduated from the US Navy, we were exhausted from a busy weekend. All we wanted is to relax and as I m laying on the bed there was something crawling. They called security and they confirmed it was a bedbug, moved us to another room. We were totally disgusted.
Just stopped in to get directions to the other Hilton that I was staying at. Did a good job.
Best asset is that the hotel is right next to the terminal. Litterally a 5 minute walk, inside. Decent bar and restaurant. Rooms passible but not up to top level Hilton standards. Hotel cos use an overhaul, but is works for what it is.
The room had a wall unit bed. Very small and the hot water didn't get hot at all! I realized it was a free room provide through United airlines.
The restaurant was five stars... everyone very nice!
Rooms are nice & clean but wifi is horrendous. Only works in a small area of the room. Doesn t work when you move around the room. If you re here to just lay your head somewhere for the night, it s super convenient because it s on airport property. But if you need work/business done, I do not recommend. The wifi is unreliable & terrible.
You pay for the convenience of proximity to the airport, nothing else.
