These people are fraudsters. They received a 100% payment from my insurance then tried to bill me for a service already paid for. After 5 calls and being told I was square they sent me to collections. Finally had to get my insurance company and union lawyers involved to get it straightened out. If you have an option do not use Northside anesthesia services in Carmel Indiana. Joke of a company

Wish I could give zero stars. Was treated in ARIZONA for an emergency appendectomy yet they billed my insurance company as if the radiology services occurred in California. How much sense does that make? I wake up in an emergency situation drive to the hospital then drive to California for the XRay then drive back for the surgery???? Are you kidding me?

Insurance won't pay because it is OUT OF NETWORK but ALL OF MY SERVICES were performed in ARIZONA ( DUH ).

I've called them 3 times now and every time they tell me they will re-bill it properly to BCBS of Arizona but I am not confident they will do it.

Bottom line IF ZOTEC wants to get PAID then I suggest they BILL the services correctly.

Have had to contact this group on behalf of myself and other patients who are being charged and then turned over to collections for free radiologist readings. I have contacted them countless times via phone, email, fax, etc., several times per patient to no avail. Have even met with a representative in person! For some reason they just cannot get their mistakes corrected and sadly this has been going on for years. We have also had countless problems with them filing correct insurance claims.

This place text me a medical bill with no info, which makes no sense b/c I never have a medical bill due to the fact that I'm 100% covered through the military. I had to read through their terms and agreement just to find a phone # I could call, and only then I found the "company's" name. THIS HAS GOT TO BE A SCAM! ZOTEC YOU CAN GO "F" UR-SELF, and stop trying to take advantage of people!

Re-posting a review for North Metropolitan Radiolo...

Re-posting a review for North Metropolitan Radiology (NMR), since they are a ghost company with a 1.0 star average rating on Google, and their only contact is through the third-party bill collections agency Zotec. I had to ask very specific questions to find out that even though the person on the phone claimed to be with NMR, they were actually employed by some company called Zotec. After a little research, I would not be surprised if there were dozens more radiology/medical companies being represented by Zotec, all with abysmal customer service ratings.

Horrible experience dealing with these people. They are ruining the good reputation of Gwinnett Medical Center (GMC). I was harassed and threatened to have my account sent to collections after receiving no paper bill and one "phishy"-looking text message. No attempts to call me were made, and after talking with them on the phone, I learned several things:

1] NMR is not the company harassing you. Zotec is the thrid-party medical bill collections company that is harassing you. There is actually no phone number for NMR, nobody to be held accountable for the shady and predatory billing practices of Zotec.

2] I had to ask many specific questions to find out that, even after requesting an itemized paper bill, my account was due to be sent to collections with "Allied" (that's all they would tell me, wouldn't even give me the full name of the company) BEFORE the paper bill would ever arrive in the mail. So I had no choice but to use their online portal and hope I'm not being scammed.

3] Zotec does NOT CARE ABOUT YOU or your credit score, your plight, your intent to pay, they do not care if there is a gun to your grandmother's head. They will make minimal effort to contact you, become very aggressive very quickly, and pressure you to pay before they send your account to collections. They will not be transparent about due dates. They will be vague. They will DOCTOR DATES AND RECORDS in their own system so make sure you keep your own record of when they call, who you speak with, what they say, what you say... it is advisable to RECORD YOUR CONVERSATIONS with this company, and tell them you are recording so that you can use it in court if you need to.

4] If you are self-pay and seeking financial assistance from the hospital, to my knowledge NMR is the only 3rd party servicer for GMC that DOES NOT match Northside's Financial Assistance program. That's right, every other biller was willing to put my account on hold while I got my Financial Assistance info together. Every other biller recognizes and matches the FA program. ZOTEC DOES NOT MATCH FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FROM THE HOSPITAL. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN TO DEAL WITH THEM. Unfortunately they are first company you should settle your bills with because they are the least considerate, most demanding billing company I have ever had to deal with and they WILL send you to collections and ruin your credit.

In summation, Zotec is a predatory, money-hungry company that uses words like "green" and "paperless" to replace "corner-cutting" and "lazy".

To any hospital or practice considering using Zotec: Know that Zotec's online presence is misleading, as they misrepresent themselves to patients and quickly improve their clients' bottom line by harassing their customers for money. You will not find many negative reviews online for Zotec because most customers think they are dealing with a completely different company and will direct their anger there. Zotec employees will use another name on the phone and never mention the name Zotec unless forced to. It is worth mentioning again that the radiologist I was billed by has an average 1.0 rating online, out of nearly 50 ratings. That's 50 people who gave that company the minimum rating, with a furious review to boot. If that's the kind of experience you want your customers to have, go ahead. Use Zotec. You will lose that customer for life.

Excellent place to work, good energy, leadership for some reason allows some weak toxic players to continue working there but hey that s office politics. Do I recommend this place to potential clients, absolutely - Joey and Jennifer will take care of you. I hear they re making some big changes again, I hope they have the right team in place to make that happen. Best of luck.

Wish I could give negative stars. Zotec bills on b...

Wish I could give negative stars. Zotec bills on behalf of Summit Radiology in Ft. Wayne. I'm only giving the name because Summit needs to know how much Zotec is hurting their reputation. My daughter had a test done in October and after looking up the EOB, I knew we owed $45.10. A couple of months went by and we didn't receive a bill. We got a voicemail from Zotec saying that if we didn't pay our bill we would be sent to a collection agency. I called back, told them that we never got a bill, and asked them to send one. They insisted that one had been sent but they would send another one anyway. Still never got one. I tried to pay online but the account number they gave me wouldn't work. I wasn't about to pay over the phone. I'm not going to give my credit card number to a company too incompetent to even put a bill in the mail. Then we'd get another threatening voicemail. I don't even know how many times this cycle was repeated. I even called Summit who couldn't do much because once they hand it off to Zotec there's not much they can do. I was finally able to talk to someone a little higher up two states away with the help of Summit. This wonderful lady was able to get everything straightened out and I was finally able to pay. Turns out Zotec had been giving me the wrong account number. Still don't know why they never sent a bill. After months of harassment and lies, when we'd paid off the whole $45.10 and thought everything was taken care of, Zotec had the audacity to send us to a collection agency anyway. That involved more calls and weeks of waiting because they "needed Summit to verify the payment". I even offered to email a copy of the receipt. The first person I talked to wouldn't take it but the second did. Take a look at the reviews. The only good ones are from employees. Assuming the reviews are truthful, it doesn't begin to make up for the horrid way customers are treated.

Terrible experience so far - can't get them to file my bill correctly with medicaid, so they're just telling me "DENIED" and sticking me with a $5000 bill rather than taking the time and effort to submit the claim correctly. Seems pretty lazy to me. I'm a recent widower and can't come close to paying that bill!

I have had an excellent few years working for Zotec. I get to work alongside many talented individuals who are actively changing the landscape of healthcare for the better. Being at a company where the technology exceeds expectations makes my job both enjoyable and incredibly effective.

I asked 3 times for an email communication about my bill. It was useless. They finally asked me to give them a donation which was optional?? I d rate them lower if I could. Texting me instead of sending a bill is unprofessional at best. I finally gave up and paid via phone option. Very poor system. The whole experience felt like a scam. Awful, just awful way to do business.

I worked here for 9 months in their call center. When you arrive for your interview they are so nice and professional. The building is older but has been redone in most places. The call center has extremely small cubicles and outdated computer workstations. They have a computer that tells you when your lunch and breaks are. The worst thing was that it took you 5 plus minutes to turn on your computer and it would sometimes make you late. I do not recommend this position to anyone. They had interviews EVERY single day because the turn over was so bad. I came from a company that was very involved in engaging with the community. I was hoping to see more from a big company like Zotec.

Was hired as temp. as a payment investigator. Started on 05/02/16 and was released on 05/10/16 because he felt that I was not doing a good job of calling a payer to retrieving payment information and collecting an EOB (explanation of benefits)/ "per him I was catching on". This system that I was given a crash course in was only 3 months old and still had a lot of updating needed. Everyone has a different was of doing the same work/job in which suits them to be productive. How professional is it that not the temp agency but the supervisor tells you that he was letting you go before letting you go after working you for 2 hrs. In training you are asked to ask questions, but don't not if you want a temporary job or job in this department. And if so, create yourself a script per the supervisor/trainers words to do the job being asked of you. Because if your not using his words....Oh well... And for the record if I didn't know what I was doing in retrieving EOBs, how did I manage to have a 1599 pages in a bulk check amount faxed.... Among others... But I guess you don't get any credit for that... Not a good company to work for... And I would not recommend anyone.. But to each his own and good luck.... Not to mention that this department and software was created to do the work of hundreds of individuals jobs that were eliminated... "per supervisor/trainer".

I don't know how to post zero stars! This company billed me twice for the same office visit (once a stand-alone bill, once incorporated with other bills). I did not notice at first and paid twice. I tried to call -- no one answered during office hours. I tried to leave a message. I Googled to find a customer service email and I emailed them. Finally I wrote a letter. Still no answer so I had to get the state Attorney General to review the case and tell them to pay me back! There is something fishy in the way they do the accounting as the original online bill history showed I owed $27, but when I accidentally paid $54, they just changed the amount of the "adjustment" portion of the bill so that it looked like I had owed the $54 I paid. I wonder if they make a habit of double billing and then not paying the person back. I also wonder why all the people who p osted 5-star reviews had nothing to say about their experience.

Paid 2 radiology bills on time over the phone, received confirmation #'s of payments, then several harassing cell phone calls for unpaid bills. I had to print out my bank transactions and mail THEM copies PROVING I paid said bills because my confirmation numbers were not proof! They should not be allowed to do business in FL, with Blue Cross Blue Shield or FL Radiology Imaging.

I had to call them and TELL them to post my insurance contractual. My insurance company actually paid in full, but ZOTEC billed me for the amount designated for the contractual obligation (adjustment). Good thing I read my EOB from my insurance company.

-- Billing department is the worse. We never received a bill. we tried paying from insurance detail, but there was no address on there to make payment. We tried paying from website, but there is no address on there. We did get a nasty notice from collection agency, for not paying the bill we never received. What a mess.

PUBLIC BEWARE:

PUBLIC BEWARE:
"Accidentally on Purpose" Zotec illegally failed to submit claim to Medicare, using 4 different excuses as to why NO claim was filed with Medicare. YET all info and claims were properly sent to supplemental insurance & lab..
4 times I was told by Zotec, that a claim will be resubmitted; yet medicare said "NONE" were filed each time a 'follow-up' call made.
IF NO medicare claim then supplemental claim = "denied"; leading to demand of FULL payment with threats to take 'client' to collections.
I was sent only one notice with threats of "collection" IF NOT paid in full.
Dr. PAID in full prior to talking with Medicare, who reiterated NO CLAIMS were ever filed!
xHOW CAN MEDICARE DENY A "claim" if NO CLAIM IS FILED ??????
After 4 months of communicating with Zotec, now told "...check is in the mail..." (waiting over a week--'snail mail' NOT that slow...)
IF you use Medicare/Medicaid, ALWAYS call them directly to see ANY claim has been filed. IF NOT supplemental insurance etc will have to deny claims.
DO NOT PAY ANY bill associated with medical billers unless you confirm the proper & legal obligations of medical billing is followed (esp. government coverage).
IF healthcare provider ACCEPTS Medicare (etc) then billers MUST SUBMIT claim, by law.
This is an insurance "scam" demanding full uninsured monies to be paid outright, thus NOT accepting "ASSIGNMENT" amounts.
So who is making the profit?

These people are con artists. I was involved in a car accident and needed emergency care. The other driver was at fault and their insurance paid the hospital, doctor and radiology bills directly. These people, on "behalf" of Quantum Radiology claimed to have never received payment and sent the matter to collections. The insurance company sent me a copy of the check they deposited. I called their customer "service" line and was told to mail them a copy of the paperwork, which I did immediately. I received yet another letter from a collections agency threatening to ruin my credit. I had to call the customer "service" line again and demand to speak with a supervisor before I was finally provided with an email address to send the paperwork proving they were threatening me over a bill that had been paid in full months ago. They're lucky I didn't sue them. These people belong in jail for trying to scam my family at a time when we're dealing with lost income.

My customer service experience has been absolutely HORRIBLE. I have a charity care reduction letter that covers my 100% of my bill and have sent it twice in the mail and once via email. I have talking with them and they let me know that it is taken care of, yet I continue to get calls stating that my bill needs paid and threatening to turn it over to collection services.

Had a test don at Simon Med on 4/2. they processed my check thru ACH as a debit on 4/6, and deposited the check thru my bank on 4/8. They admit to getting 2 payments but I am still waiting for a refund 7 weeks later. This is the word\st company to deal with, they promise 7 day for a check multiple times and it never comes through.
I will never do business with Simon Med again and would not recommend any else to either.

I wish I could give a negative star rating. "Cust...

I wish I could give a negative star rating. "Customer service" is the opposite of what I was provided. I never received a bill and learned that I had owed for a service by checking my credit report! I was sent to collections for something that I never knew existed. No on did any due diligence to contact me. Further, when I contacted this company, distressed about my credit report, their response was to be defensive and tell me that it wasn't their fault.

The other part of this ordeal is that I was charged full price for a service that is covered by my insurer. I promptly paid the collections account. The health care service provider resubmitted the claim and my account. My actual portion owed should have been $21.32. I paid $657. You do the math. All attempts by me to recoup my money have been met with resistance and the run around: "we need your EOBs", "Have your insurance company call us", "we cannot make outbound phone calls," "We have not received the faxed EOBs- (3 were sent and numbers confirmed and reconfirmed)", "you have to wait 10 business days for us to process and receive a fax," "we have not received the EFT payment."

This would have never happened if due diligence was being done by this company. Unfortunately, they do not value their provisions of services to patients, since we do not pay them for their services. Patients who could be sick or disabled have to go through unnecessary rigors because of this company's poor business practices! Shame on you Zotec!
