I originally was going to give o'Haras a 5 star review because I was here at lunch time for a refreshing drink. My two children (aged 3 and 2) were fast asleep in their stroller and to give them time to sleep I popped into O'Hares for a quick pint and their service was spot on. They were respectful and considerate. However, we (this time with my wife) came back on my recommendation on that same evening and our boy who is 2 decided he wasn't going to play game and was in a bad mood. Whilst trying to calm him down and be respectful to patrons the duty manager came over told us to leave as our boy was upsetting everyone. It was literally a minute of him crying as some kids do! Sometimes kids kick off and you have to calm them down and once they do they're fine. But hey we got kicked out. Seems either the duty manager doesn't like kids and is not a good reflection of the bar. It's not a nice way to treat the paying customer and only wanted to eat and relax. The ironic thing is it was during pride month a time where we teach tollirance and respect. Maybe the duty manager needs to step outside and learn a little bit about the beautiful New Yorkers and their respect for others.

My favorite Irish Pub in the city. I first went a few years back and the staff was so nice and entertaining. The brought out the book for us, which gave a history of the tragedy of 9/11, and showed the brave men and women which risked their lives in the Fire and Police Departments. The food is top notch pub food, and the beer flows freely. I'll remember to get pictures inside next time.

If you go to the 9/11 Memorial or even if you don't, you have to go to Ohara's in Lower Manhattan! It was such a great representation of how the people of NYC will always rise above anything you throw at them! Go have a Guinness and ask to see the photo album they have, as good if not better than the 9/11 Museum! Thanks to Mike and his staff for making our trip a very special one!

Really awesome bar. If you enjoy humanity and the people that put their lives on the line to protect it, you need to come here. Also the employees are amazing. 10/10. Bar none. Make this your stop after visiting the 9/11 memorial. The sweet potato fries are pretty amazing too.

If you want an authentic Irish pub in NYC I'd say go here. Very historic and almost Ground Zero for 9/11. It served a lot of first responders once it reopened, and has tons of patches from first responders (and others) from around the world hanging from every surface. Despite being in Financial District of lower Manhattan it gets quite an eclectic crowd, from regulars to after-work suits. Didn't try the food but no complaints about the beer.

I've been coming here for the past two years with my family and man it's packed every time we visit. It's an Irish pub with some good food. Come in here for a drink and you'll also get a good dose of the history of NYC. They also feature pictures of the pub right after 9/11 and it's devastating. I recommend the Shepard's pie or a burger.

I could go on about this place; good food, great atmosphere, amazing location, but nothing would beat the amazing customer service I had while I was here. The staff where amazing, top-notch compared to the other places I went. If you ever go to NYC you have to go O'Hara's.

Half of the drink is ice cream in winter. The fans run in winter it is cold and drifts.
The fries taste of old fat and the meat tastes nothing. The hot turkey is like a shoe sole with a white sauce that just does not fit the taste you can not describe. Bad food in my life.

O'Hara's has delicious meals and friendly staff. Our service was superb considering that they were extremely busy. The owner, Jim Sheraton came by to check our meal and service was good. We will be back next were in New York.

We were visiting New York the week after the Superbowl with our six month old son and were wandering around lower Manhattan with some friends when I saw O'Hara's and thought, "that looks like a great little Irish pub, but it's probably just a tourist trap." I guess it just looked to "clean" on the outside compared to most of the places in the area, so we passed it by. A few days later, we were back in the area to visit the 9/11 Memorial and needed a place to get some food and take a break after pushing the child around in the stroller all day. I wasn't sure whether children were welcome (they are not in most pubs/bars in Washington State where we live), so I was a little hesitant to walk in. But we did, and couldn't have been happier with the choice. This is as authentic of a neighborhood pub as exists anywhere in the U.S. Not only did we receive great service and excellent food (I suggest the prime rib sandwich), we were made to feel like "regulars" at home, even though we'd never been there before. Our server (a delightful woman with a distinct Irish accent), held our son while we ate so that we could enjoy our meal, showering him with love an attention like only a mother can do. In that moment, we felt like family, and most of all, were able to take a break from being parents and just sit and enjoy a wonderful meal and a couple pints of Guinness in a place that felt like home. And yes, she respected our parental instincts and stayed well within our line of sight the whole time. We took our time to look at the pictures of the building showing the devastation after 9/11, as well as to find a patch on the wall from our local fire department and reflect on the impact that day had on not just those in the towers, but the community as a whole. It was a special experience and we will never forget it. O'Hara's is no tourist trap.
