Good old fashioned themed bar. Great service. Always lively. Nice place to grab a quick lunch/dinner.
The owner is awesome and right next to ground zero he opened 1section for first responders of 9/11..
Very nice and warm environment. Good food and drinks. Good prices too.
This place is nearby to WTC, 911 memorial and other places of visit. The ambience inside was great and the staff were helpful. visited this place after a full day of sightseeing and was helped by the staff in choosing my drink option. Had Captain Lawrence and Guinness together with Sliders and onion rings. Sliders were done well and tasted awesome, coupled with great music. By the end of it, came out satisfied. Would love to be back.
Nice cold beer and very nice Menu, but the best things is the view. If you are in New York City, you must go there.
Very nice Irish pub. However, their shepherds pie was about the worst I've ever had. The chicken wrap was better but nothing to write home about.
Classic irish pub! Nice place around One WTC for good snack, beers, good vibe and cool staff !
as a tourist I found it to be a lovely place to have a local drink with the knowledge that the pub could not of been there after it was close to the 9/11disaster
Excellent place!! Super original I recommend that you know it, the truth is that we had a great time. There are vegetarian and vegan options. Very rock the food.
Awful, just awful. In from out of town and checked in late at a nearby hotel after a 5hr flight. I was looking for somewhere to unwind and get some food before bed. Decided to try here. For starters the server was not attentive at all. At first my food came out incorrectly and salad missing. I tried a french fry and actually spat it out as it tasted old and was flat out cold, not a degree above room temp. My salad came but no cutlery. I had to find someone and ask them for cutlery so I could actually eat my food. Finally when this was done I began on the sandwich. Horrendous (and I don't use that word lightly). The bun was hardened and crusty (ie old), pickles missing, and that must've been the end of the sauce because there was so little on there you couldn't taste it. I waited for the server to return to explain my disappointment....and waited.....and waited. Giving up, tired and hungry, I literally scraped the chicken and tomato out of this mess, ate that, and left everything else on my plate bun and fries incl. Like an idiot lost out at sea, I'm peering around the restaurant corner to corner looking to flag down my waitress to clear my plate. When she finally came I took the time to explain everything that was wrong with my experience so far. She didn't really have much to say but worse off not even an apology for my dissatisfaction. She was quite standoffish. Feeling defeated I just asked for my bill so I could go. It comes, with everything on there, full price. At this point feeling completely uncared for I decided to speak up and I gently explained to her that I find it a bit surprising that after I politely but clearly explained how bad I thought the food was I was still expected to just accept it and pay full price too. Her response "well you never told me there was a problem with your food until now"! So the question begs, how on earth is a customer supposed to express any concerns for their meal if their waitress NEVER COMES TO THE TABLE after getting their food! To be clear she never came once, I had to flag her down to clear everything. But flabbergasted at her response I just laughed as I suddenly realized it was like dealing with a child so I just elected to pay my cheque and go to bed, hungry I might add, without any more unnecessary conversation. On the way back to my hotel I called the restaurant and spoke with a manager. I just felt compelled that someone who had perhaps a vested interest in their business would be interested in knowing just how awful I thought there place was. To his credit, he said all the right things and apologized and invited me back to make things right. Sometimes things happen or just go wrong and that's acceptable, but it's how it's handled that makes all the difference and in my case, I'm pretty sure I won't go back even though I am frequently put up in that neighborhood. This is New York City the choices are endless.
Cool after work place to get a drink and quick bite
A really amazing place to visit after the 9/11 memorial. One of the staff at One World Observatory recommended it to us, told us about the history of it and how the tradition of the service patches on the walls started and told us to ask for 'the book'. This is an incredible collection of photos and stories from 9/11 that you aren't going to find anywhere else and definitely worth looking at over a pint. The beer, food and music were all really good but frankly none of that really mattered compared to that atmosphere.
GO HERE!!!
Fantastic place. Ask to see the 9/11 Memorial photo album and spend the time to go thru it.
Kevin the bar tender...class act!!

Authentic New York bar with lots of police and fire memorabilia.
I have been a patron over 25 years experiencing both pre and post 9/11. Mike and his staff are fabulous and have struck a balance of cheer and respect for the special role they play. Truthfully I miss so many of my colleagues that once enjoyed a pint after a long day, so I keep them in my thoughts and in conversation while there so they will never be forgotten. O'Hara's will forever be a special place for both new comers and those with vivid memories of times gone by before the unthinkable occurred in 2001. God bless all those who were viciously murdered that day.
Near our hotel (again, 'way downtown in NYC). A bar with food - AND the greatest waitress, who steered us away from a rambling, um, patron, and toward what she thought we might like on the menu. All with a smile and a low-key vibe in a relatively raucous saloon. Good food, too!
Great , Great , 5 Star it has it all. ....I recommend you get some. :)
Nice place but c'mon if you're charging that much for a burger it should at least taste like one.
Great place to visit and stop for a beverage. Eric is an excellent bartender. Very friendly place
Nice traditional Irish pub, friendly service good selection of beers
Great ambience, lovely friendly staff, delicious food, reasonably priced. Has become one of my favourite places in New York. Don't miss out.
Had a great time at O'Hara's,Kevin the bartender made us feel right at home, great service and drinks, definitely would recommend
Another cosy Irish bar good food and friendly staff.
Tourist hotspot with a local vibe and plenty of history. Ask to see the photo album.
Great Irish pub in lower Manhattan. Bartender was awesome. Loved the food.
The place is small but the food and drinks are great.
Worth a visit ... but for a beer. Regular food. Interesting photos of its reconstruction
A phenomenal experience Everytime I go, best food I've had from a bar, love the history of the restaurant
Great little gem of an Irish Bar in the heart of NY. Great beer & food and fantastic service. A++++
The atmosphere was cool, lots of "first responder" patches to celebrate their efforts--coo for an establishment near the World Trade Center memorial.
But, their Irish Stew, a specialty, was barely tepid. Not even warm. It tasted ok, but I couldn't get over it being served so cold.
Definitely the place to go if you are a member of a police or fire department. Bring an extra uniform patch, ask an employee for a stapler, and find a spot amidst the patches of other public safety personnel from around the world. The food is tasty, too.
A disaster. Food is not recommended (took fretted zucchini and squid, both probably low quality bad food). The atmosphere is anything but cozy, a very loud beer bar.
Drinks are regular, food is correct. Nice decoration
Excellent beers, delicious food, great service, fair prices. I recommend!
Great food, great atmosphere and awesome staff; serving sizes are big and priced appropriately. A really unique restaurant with a great story. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
Great bar. Great service. Paul was fantastic. Good man. The staff and regulars at the bar were welcoming. I ll be back every time I m in NY.
Great place. Patches from police departments from all over the country. The onion rings were delicious.
Without infamy and without praise. Prices average, quaint place and friendly staff. Normal burgers, from the reviews I thought better.
We has a great dinner very generous with the portions manager was very friendly and staff where very welcoming and helpful
Wonderful comfort food. Great selection of drinks as well
Awesome place, a great welcome ....
What was done in memory of those who have left and / or helped us is great ... Never forget!
Good team, good beer, good price and authentic style, what else?
Ok ladies, my sister and I stopped there on our trip to New York, and it's great! The food tasted great, and every guy there looked so good. Haha Being from Texas we love the strong Boston-type sounding accents. One guy looked like Rocky with a Boston accent and of course he was our waitier.
Lol even without the hotties, the place is what we picture a bar to be. The movies and TV shows, have these great bars and this one is just that. It is a hardcore supporter of emergency services from all over so you can look for your city's patch somewhere on their walls.
Great service, awesome and makes you feel so much pride for those that devote their lives to saving ours, and the food is great.
A place to check out. We didn't realize that we went to the bar part and not the restaurant, but we loved it and we're given great service.
Great beers and food, fast service. Nice that everywhere are the emblems, flags and batches of all government and volunteer institutions from all over the world. And everywhere you look!
Excellent location, but with they comes LARGE crowds. Food was good.
We ve waited 35 minutes for 2 burgers. Instead of 2 medium done burgers we ve got 2 well done, burned patties with cold buns. I would rather eat a burger at the chain restaurant than here. Bad service, bad food, not recommended. Choose a different place.
made us feel like regulars great xrinks& food really enjoyed will be back .ASAP
Definitely felt like a local in this bar it was down near Ground Zero so there's a lot of memorabilia bar food service was great it was really the atmosphere that was awesome there are patches for fire departments with all over
I love this thanks to the reviewers. Took a long time for food to come but was expecting that. Great atmosphere, loud & friendly. Very extra good pub food I had salmon salad gluten free. Husband had a pork chop special & drinks. Value
Irish stew they served was COLD on the inside. I wonder when it really was cooked? In the morning? Yesterday?
Well, looking at the reviews and since it is close to our hotel we tried here for a dinner. I have taken O`Haras Burger, it was not cooked well, and there was only the beef, no tomato, onion, pickles etc. just the beef and the bread. I`ve got stomach problems last two days and still can`t eat anything. Was not a good experience.
