In from Houston and came across this bar near ground zero. Cool vibe, seems to be a local crowd at night during the week. Good music/drinks, good company and good times.

My wife Su and I ate there April 28th '12 while waiting to visit the 9/11 Memorial. This place is awesome! There must be several hundred patches on the walls and ceiling from all the fire departments that sent people to help in the aftermath of 9/11. We didn't have to wait to be seated at the bar, even though the place was busy.
We ordered two large and delicious dinner salads which arrived promptly. While we were eating we met a former stock broker who was there that tragic day. His first hand account of his experience was very moving. We learned that this place stayed open and served as a makeshift command center and relief station for the first responders. We all owe them a debt of gratitude for their service. I consider O'Hara's a historic site and an integral part of your visit to the 9/11 Memorial. "Never forget, never again."
We enjoy eating out. Last night we came to this excellent restaurant which friends recommended to us. We passed a delightful experience there with fine cooking and a nice stuff and a professional chief cook. We put this fine restaurant in our phone list and we shall certainly return soon. Highly recommended.
We sat at the bar to grab a quick bite before heading to the 9/11 museum.
Service was great. I had a rueben and fries. It wasnt the greatest rueben I've had; but it was far from the worst. Its hard to ruin a rueben though.
Got food quickly which was nice. Definitely worth checking out.
Been here many times. And I will always be a repeat customer.
However I will not be ordering the shepherds pie again. It was good... But a little lacking.
The atmosphere is great. The servers and bartenders are fantastic.
Great spot to have a drink, eat, and meet interesting people. Staff are very friendly.
Thee food and drinks were great. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
Good food and drink served fast by friendly wait staff. Walls replete with badges of those visiting the 9/11 spaces. Ask to look at the remembrance book.
Good price and chill vibe for the area. Always seems to have enough space and fun bartenders
Perfect spot for New York accents, burgers and a cold beer. Big kid friendly. Nailed it NYC!
Warm atmosphere and very good service. We only had drinks. Try the Bailey's Coffee to heat up from the NY cold.
Great eats! Scrapbook of 911 impact on restaurant.
Great pub great food very friendly and helpful staff
Nice place to warm up and have a beer while babysitting a shard
Make you feel good to be there and listen to stories and see before and after pictures f from 911
Great place for a pint while reflecting on the events of 9/11.
Very neat joint with good service even during a packed Friday night.
Lovely place, ask to look at the book and explore all the badges. The interior is definitely unique with its own story.
Always like to stop in when I'm in New York fun time
Friendly service. Good food and Guiness. We put 2 patches on the wall
Great little bar in a great location with a fantastic history. The food was okay, the staff were very good and the drink selection was even better
This place was neat. The walls are full of badges from our service heroes. Service was great too.
Great food. Services was great. Atmosphere was good. Great food menu. Staff were nice.
Great bar but terrible food.
Would give 2 stars if for food alone. It was bland, no seasoning and most of the food I was served looked pre-processed.
Paul and the team are awesome hosts. Great restaurant and pub!
Very nice pub 2 steps from Ground Zero. The food is very tasty there. Great atmosphere. Decorating with patches of firemen and fonts around the world.
Wow! What a menu. Great service and food. Quite the atmosphere for an out-of-towner.
Great Irish pub. The food was great and the service was the best
Great food and the atmosphere is awesome. So glad we stopped for lunch and a few beers.
Classic irish pub in the heart of lower manhattan, cant go wrong
Magnificent place, excellent service, try the onion soup ufff !!, do not stop asking them to lend the album of 9/11 is a tribute to the deceased firemen
These guys are the best. New favorite Irish pub in NYC
Great pub at ground zero. Good bar food. Busy place.
Food is really nice, selection of beers also.what surprised me is the hidden "service fees" added on top of my order (around 15%) and then they wanted a tip from me.
I thought that was just too much. But hey, I still have my European standards with me.
If you can afford it, would highly recommend this Irish pub
Nice atmosphere, that's about it. My friend and I arrived around 7:45, not bad of a wait, 3-5 minutes. Server was nice. We ordered our appetizers and our entrees, and our entrees came in about 30 minutes, with the Mexican waitress (who looks like an albino white girl), forgetting my French Onion Soup. So, Julia the waitress said she would comp the soup and came back with it about 10 minutes later. So the soup came and it was absolutely disgusting. Burnt mozzarella cheese with a plain stingy tasting broth and onions. I couldn't even eat it if I forced myself to. The entrees were fine, my meat was dry as bone, but the brown gravy definitely added some flavor. The lemonade also tasted like aquifiana water, not lemonade.
And..... to cap it offf..... THEY DONT HAVE DESSERT! Tourists, go elsewhere. Take my advice.
Great place. A stopover point for those who visit the region of the old twin towers.
The food and service are good. The staff is very attentive. This was a great place to a gathering as well.
Excellent food. Service was great and real friendly people
The food very good, the atmosphere and the service unique. Highly recommended The photo album from ground zero is overwhelming
THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST BAR DOWNTOWN NYC THE STAFF ARE EXCELLENT AS IS THE DRINK AND FOOD NOT A PLACE TO MISS.
Classic pub, normal drinks. Regular bar food. Very friendly staff, smells like smoke. I guess I'm just old, but don't go here if it's for the food. Do go here for the unique location and alcohol.
Awesome, simple, and fun. $8 draft beers (except $4 bud/coors light), decent selection of bottled beers (ranging from $6-$8). Friendly service, and cool atmosphere.
Cool Irish bar in cozy premises. Bar and restaurant with character. Definitely worth a visit.
Been here twice in separate NYC trips. Love this place. Atmosphere is great and food was good!
It is very very very noisy there. We went in and almost immediatly out again. If you like a noisy bar it's nice, but if you just want to eat it is terrible.
After visiting the Memorial and going to World Trade Center, we stopped here for food and drinks. If you like beer, then you're in luck. They have a lot to choose from. The wings were also good. I've been here a few times and wasnt disappointed either time I was here.
Very good food, and a must see for anyone interested in 9/11 lore.
Came here while visiting from Dallas. Was a fun atmosphere and the Guinness was fantastic. If I ever find my way up to Manhattan again I ll make sure to stop by.
Stylish bar with pleasant service. The food was not quite on top and gets a move for this.
Pretty good bar food nice atmosphere with different memorabilia from emergency responders from all over US
The atmosphere and food were both great but the best part was the service. It was like we had 4 servers and we were all that mattered. It was truly an amazing experience.
Good beer and good food.if your a first responder bring your company patch, they'll put on the walls
Friendly, warm atmosphere with good food and drinks. The walls are covered with various PD & FD patches. Just dont ask the bsr tender to call a cab!
Local very well set and original, I recommend going even to see it and have a delicious beer. The service is very attentive and friendly, but the food leaves a lot to be desired, and it is also worth mentioning that they themselves add 20% in tips to the bill.
Awesome place! Love the atmosphere, the staff, the food, and especially the drinks! Great place to check out if you're down at the 9/11 Memorial.
Loved it...big portions...good food...friendly staff
A very happening place with delicious drink and bar food. Its a place go to with friends after work for a drink and hung out!!
Excellent food right on the 9/11 Memorial, and very reasonable considering the location in lower Manhattan!
Wow, what a place... First I grab a Pint of Guinness, then some Manhattan chowder followed by a beef stew from the gods... The look, the people, the service... I WILL RETURN...
I went to O'hara's tonight July 15, 2019 and took a seat at the bar. The bartender asked what I wanted and I told him a Margarita. He was about to make it but I asked for the glass rim to be salted. Just then he wad given bucket of ice to fill up his ice chest. I guess he looked down and realized his shoe lace was undone. He put his foot up on the ice chest, tied his lace then continued to make my drink. He reached for slices of lime and squeezed in my drink. When I pointed out that I wouldn't take that drink he threw it away and remarked that he has been doing this job for 22 years. He never apologize or washed his hand and made a new one. He went on to making someone else's drink. Very disappointed because as someone who also works in the food industry, I would have hoped that we are serving our customers in a safe and sanitary way.
