lounge bar
i am bar regular costumer and i always have been treated really well by viktoria bartender , i think she has to be mentioned.
Far from the center. But with very good combination of metro. Hotel great. Super attentive staff. Ideal to know London.
Services were good. Breakfast great as always. Reception area gives a sense of high level of cleanliness of property however once you get into the accommodation floors, the carpets in the general walkway and rooms lets the property down. Definitely requires replacement. Bathroom water had a strange smell.
However Customer service was really good. Customer service lady (Lucia) was excellent at helping resolve issues with invoicing etc.
Stayed here a couple of weeks over the last two years. Great breakfast, good and modern rooms, very friendly staff.
This place was great in all aspects and near to my sisters that's why I stayed there.
Nice communal areas and restaurants. Rooms modern but not large. Stafd friendly and helpful. Overall experience has been good.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is awesome...5 min walk to tube, restaurants and shops.
The rooms we stayed in was fairly small, but we were ok with that. My husband used the gym and he said it was great as well.
biggest gripe is thepoor quality and expensive wifi
Every day we had an issue... We sorted all our booking out on the first day but every day the hotel was bringing up new issues.... Breakfast not on booking.... Rooms not allocated properly.... Not allocating correct card on all of our rooms.... Parking issues , not taking off residence discount.... we must have wasted 4 hours of our stay sorting this out..... .. Many , many more issues....
i've been here many times for many years. staff always friendly and helpful. the room is old but pretty clean, only that the fridge smells sometimes. love the pillow here, different from other novotel i've been.
Very modern and clean and good breakfast variety. Far from main London attractions. Needs more power outlets for charging devices
Great choice for family
Ideally located near the subway and the taxi station, there is an Arab grocery, pharmacy and restaurants near the hotel, but relatively far from the main tourist places in the area, but in general good, it is about 20 km away from Heathrow Airport, and it is nice for those who love walking and sports, go to the Hyde Park 6 Kilos from the hotel
A large, clean room with comfortable beds. The hotel has tour guides for fees that are considered a little expensive for offices on land.
Hotel is fine but nothing special. A hotel from the 80s with some update but still far from a hotel of this calibre. Friendly staff though.
Remarkable and neat room..... their room are large...
Attended for a conference and cannot fault the facilities or the abundance of food throughout the day!
Good choice of buffet dishes, good quality of food, large and well-equipped event hall
Good (comfort, cleanliness and calm) eccentric but very well served in terms of public transport
It was a good hotel and it was a nice place with my family
Where to start. Beautiful lobby and restaurant, and then I got to the room. Awful hard bed and pillows. Homeless shelters have better beds. No AC, and despite repeated attempts to make sure my windows were left cracked, housekeeping shut them everyday; the room was unbearable. Disgusting carpet, just beyond belief. I never took my socks off. Foul smells in hallway, bathrooms, and room. This was a reoccurring conversation among guests.
Construction, language barriers led to issues (although, all employees were nice and trying). Food was actually good.
This was my first and last stay at this property. Ibis is same price and significantly better rooms. Reading through some of these reviews, I know they are fake.
Modern architecture, spacious and well equipped seminar rooms
Great place to have a convention, though could do with more bar staff!
Unfortunately there was a referendum being held at the hotel the day we arrived which spoilt our experience a bit. But we could not fault the hotel or the staff.
Public areas are nice and up to date, rooms are a little dated but clean. Views from some rooms leave a lot to be desired.
excellent friendly service. great food at reasonable prices.
The Lounge Bar is the yop: staff professionality and kindness are outstanding! The cocktails are original and extremely tasty!
Modern and confortable facilities.
Next to the underground 15 minutes from downtown, room too small for a family no place to pack, too good breakfast, on the other hand parking too expensive 1.5 pound per hour! No price day in the morning as the night total 210 pound for 6 night no reduction or commercial gesture despite a night missed because canceled flight.
Decent room but the room were not very clean. Lots of hair in the bathroom and the hairdryer was not working. And need you queue up for over 30mins for breakfast
Check in was easy and the lady was very helpful.. our room was on the 7th floor, clean and spacious.. with a large comfy bed.
Our 2 nights included breakfast which was delicious.. so many choices! Great coffee too!
On the 2nd day of our stay it was my birthday.. I had cards to open from friends and family which I put up in the room, on return from a day out I found a beautiful birthday cake had been left for me!.. fantastic touch which was really appreciated!
I will definitely stay again .. the locality near to the tube stations is great! .. Hitel is definitely recommended.
The hotel is a bit old in the rooms. Last renovation probably for the Olympics. With 4 people the room was too small.
The staff is also still looking for the pool, as the website says there should be. There is only a very small gym. NO wellness.
The bathroom had seen better days. The rooms facing the street are super loud. You look directly at the highway. Opening the window is bad.
Breakfast and bar are ok. The proximity to the tube is awesome. Should you find a hotel closer to the center that is certainly not a disadvantage.
It's convenient location to stay in London to find out great places. Hope it may improve check-in/out operations compared to other hotels.
Walkable distance from Hammersmith tube, rooms are very good, services are prompt.
Room was a bit worn out, plug and shower did not work corrrect, but all staff were good and allowed me a late check out.
Stayed only for one night but had great experience. I was having drinks while waiting for someone by the bar, the bartender kept on checking if everything is fine - when he asked me if I like my cocktail I replied that I was expecting something different, more sweet.. after a while he came back with another drink, exatlcy what I was expecting from previous one, complimentary of course. Great service.
I visited for a work event in which I stayed the night so I had no hand in the booking.
The room had all facilities that I required and it was clean and comfortable.
The hotel bar and restaurant was surprisingly good in quality and I enjoyed all meals that were provided.
Executive premium suite cause it's 9th floor with a view
Novotel is an excellent hotel that gives you all you need for a decent stay away from home. The food by far is the highlight of its services, offering an all you can eat buffet for breakfast and dinner. The staff are friendly and helpful though rather quietly so. They provide all you need without interrupting you during your stay. The hotel itself is conveniently located near the underground station and high street shopping is just a short walk down the road.
Visited here for a 2 day business workshop. Great well lit venue with high standards. Lunch was a fabulous choice of buffets.
Nice lobby. Old and dirty rooms. Drains barely work, water not hot, towels thin as paper
Fantastic food, great service and beautiful surroundings... Recommended
The hotel is centrally located within few minutes walk from Hammersmith Underground and bus station, the room was spacious and very quiet. Do brace yourself for the heat in case you visit in summer because the room does not have cooling air-conditioning. The online check-in makes check-in faster as all details are sorted online, but you still have to wait in the line to pick the cards
Nice room, friendly staff, ok breakfast. Overall good value. Weird convention happening but no real damage to us.
So bizarrely ibis earl court is very popular among Chinese visitors...when it's one of the inferior accor hotel in earl court. The novotel is far superior and right next to Hammersmith tube station. I got upgraded to junior suite and it's a really good hotel. Most important it's quiet, comfortable and convenient. Very well connected to rest of londonn via Hammersmith station aswell!
They do not allow a 17 year old to use the gym. Completely ridiculous policy and inflexbile. Terrible hotel.
Very convenient for central London. Right next door to tube and bus stations. Lovely room; cosy and spotless. Reception service outstanding. Breakfast buffet very extensive and utterly delicious.
Comfortable beds and delicious breakfast. Excellent location. The only problems were that the stoppers in the sink and tub were broken.
Good quality and good price with respect to other hotels in the same category. The continental breakfast is very complete.
Currently there for a conference. Staff are friendly and very attentive. All conference rooms were well lit and large.
Nice achitecture, free Wifi and well equiped gym. The training/meeting rooms are well equipped.
Beautiful place and serene environment, it was a great experience
The staff was pretty unhelpful for the most part. The doors to the room heavy and often slammed, especially by housekeeping yet you can hear inside rooms as you walk down the hall. The bed uncomfortable. The towels and courtesy robe scratchy and well worn. The food unsavory and way overpriced. 3 pounds for a black coffee when Starbucks has it for 1 a block away - ridiculous. I would neither recommend nor stay here again.
This is my third trip in London, staying at a different hotel each time and by far this has been the best value. For the price, I wouldn't be able to ask for more. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere - more family friendly than strict business, clean room and decent food. Both my wife and I are hugely satisfied, and will definitely come back for any future trips in London.
The hotel is located a few steps from the underground in a very quiet area (around 15 minutes to reach central London) ideal for family stays.
Very helpful staff, the rooms are clean and quite spacious. The buffet breakfast is very generous in short I highly recommend it.
Almost got 2 stars.
Really long check-in wait having to abandon the Priority Queue. I asked and was told that Priority check-in was not available because the front desk was too busy! This makes no sense. Whenever that becomes the case (it never should) remove the cardboard sign that indicates a priority service for Accor members is available.
We were off to a bad start and it did not improve when I found my room. The room was hot and the the air cooling device wouldn't switch on. Down to reception immediately, just 5 mins after check-in, but I sensed I was being doubted when I mentioned the fault; in general I feel there is a prickly edge to the staff when things are not running to routine.
Rooms are big but dated. The bathroom is what might be expected from a more budget member of the Accor family. I don't mind the towels being off-white (they do not bleach them and that is a good thing), however when they have not been pressed/ironed and are hanging wrinkled off the towel rail it makes you wonder whether they have been changed since the last guest. They smelled clean, which confirms they had been properly laundered - but there should have been no doubt!
Breakfast box was disappointing as was the staff help when I asked if I could request items for the morning. Again a slightly prickly attitude because the box is the box and there should be no changes. I asked if it would be possible to have a piece of fruit a bottle of water and a bacon sandwich (or ham sandwich if bacon was not possible). This is what I receive from the Leeds Novotel when I need to get away early - I was told the box came with fruit and a fruit juice and some yoghurt and a bar. So rather than attempt to accommodate (I am paying a lot of money for this box after all!) they just repeated the "standard" contents. Out of ordinary is a problem for this hotel. If the content of the box is fixed, I asked if it would be possible to nip in to the buffet at 06:00 and quickly make up a bacon sandwich for myself? I received a reluctant "yes". In the morning, the staff at reception and the staff at the buffet questioned why I would want to do this - since I already have "The Box". The lady standing at the buffet clarified that if I take "The Box" then I would NOT ordinarily be entitled to enter the breakfast area . So here I am - the guest - feeling that I am asking too much of this hotel: a bacon sandwich "to go" in the morning! So after an awkwardness that should never happen and after feeling the prickles from the staff, I was allowed to make up a quick bacon roll. There was a kind chef who overheard and offered to get me a hot black coffee to go, a bonus - promote this man before you lose him.
All in all I feel this hotel is damaging the Novotel brand. I have stayed in Novotel hotels many times, in London, across the UK and overseas. I know what good is - and the Novotel London West fails to meet it.
The check-out staff didn't ask how the stay had been, either they were not interested or they could probably guess it had not been an Accor Gold experience.
No hot water for shower, maintenance man said hotel busy so tanks probably empty. Poor for a four star hotel. No mention that we couldn't leave car parked once we checked out without paying more. Again for four star hotel corridors and rooms first impressions were a little tired and in need of freshening up. Staff were all polite and helpful on the positive side both at front desk and at breakfast
Very average hotel, noisy rooms if being used as a wedding venue, overpriced drinks menu with little choice. If your lucky you get a free small bottle of water in your room. Noisy and very inefficient aircon. Giving it 2 stars as breakfast was OK.
Booked your hotel as I had stayed there earlier in the year and found it to be pleasant and of good standards, not so much second time around.
We checked in and were tired from an event we were attending so attempted to order room service. The items we tried to order were not available as we had an out of date menu in our room, the man who was dealing with our phone call just wanted us to order, his manners were not appreciated but in the end offered to get a new menu sent to our room. After around 15 minutes he rang back and told us he could not get through to housekeeping so can we just order something?! As his tone was less than appreciated yet again we decided that eating out was preferable.
When we returned from eating, we discovered that the room we were initially booked into did not have a working bath or shower. I went to run a bath and the plug did not seal, so water was not contained..decided to try the shower but the temperature dial was missing from the mechanism so it was stuck on a rather tepid cool. So I had to then make my way downstairs to deal with this issue.
We were given a room change by the lady at the front desk and when we were taken there I checked the shower, which seemed fine, but the bath plug was lying in the bath in two pieces. There was clearly no seal on it either..showed the member of staff who convinced me that it was in normal condition and to just try it and let her know. Needless to say it was in no way a working plug and considering the event we were attending in London was 3 days of being on our feet, this was unacceptable but we could not track the member of staff down. By this time nearly 10pm at night, so we simply used the shower.
Under NO circumstances would I say we enjoyed this visit, nor would we ever book this hotel again. The only thing positive about our entire stay was that the front desk staff are polite and attentive so that checking in and out was easy. If you are wondering why we did not complain upon check out, it was a really sweet lady who was in training and not someone we wished to have to deal with it. We are voting with our feet as the saying goes.
Disappointed with the water in shower..cannot get a consistent temperature...it would fluctuate between too hot or cold wouldn't stay t a comfortable warm temp. Wish they had light snacks available all day that you could pick up and take to your room
Good for a business hotel. Rooms are good, located centrally. Breakfast isn't that great.
Short walk from the tube station. Nice layout and meeting rooms
Good atmosphere, close to basic amenities and quite easy to locate.
It is totally unsafe around the area. 2 friends were approached by 1 stranger asking for directions then 2 persons imitating police, whilst they were buying car park ticket. As they were not from uk they thought the police were genuine they showed their badges and asked for passports and held onto it while they immediately searched their bags and wallet they even replaced the cash back into their purses however when they counted their money back in the hotel a huge chunk of the money had already been stolen. It is common around this hotel as colleagues staying there have also personally experienced this shocking incident too. We called security to let them know of the incident but the hotel was not interested. No security came.
