Novotel London West Review

There was no concierge nor porter available on the ground floor on the evening I arrived approx. 7.30 p.m. Meaning I had to carry my luggage, quite heavy, two suitcases and bag to reception myself. A member of your staff, presumably housekeeping, in no way should have admitted herself straight into my room whilst I was there.

Excellent service with first class rooms. Located close to the Metro, easy access to everywhere! Recommended highly!!

First day the key was not working.
Breakfast doesn't have varieties for Muslims

A large modern hotel. The rooms are a bit drab but are of a good size and clean.
Staff are friendly and helpful and the price is OK too

Carpets Dirty. And this place needs updating asap! Its in a decent neighborhood, so late night walks should be cool if your into that or have insomnia

Very cute ... very nice atension. Located in Hammersmith in front of the station where you can take the 10 to king's cross that runs a good part of London giving a beautiful tourist walk takes 1 hour on weekday with traffic.

Too much waiting for our rooms, rooms of average quality, breakfast, we do not talk about it, the coffee is not over yet we already debarasse our table (the air to tell us clear ya world! ) Proposed choices for a so-called English breakfast very insufficient! So I do not recommend.

Very handy for Apollo and Hammersmith bus station/underground. Sound insulation between rooms lacking a little but it was clean and tidy. Breakfast was delicious and staff were helpful and friendly.

It is not the newest building, but it is clean and the staff are kind & friendly and breakfast is also good.

Use used the car park to attend an event at the Apollo theatre.

Hotel rather good as a whole but for my part I had a room for disabled and frankly not terrible nor suitable for normal people

the room is spacious. the toiletries smell nice. the bottles of water in the fridge were superb.

Nice hotel, well located and with a nice staff and willing to help you in whatever you need.

All good except that the air conditioning did not work well and it was a particularly hot weekend.

We always stop at Novotel when this side of London. We will use Novotel at the Excel when nearer the centre of London.

As normal the hotel is clean, the room, which was upgraded to an executive room as we are Novotel members, was spacious and had a great view from the 9th floor.

The room was clean and tidy, the bathroom was also nice and clean, which always a good start to any stay. The only negative thing was that the coffee machine was not working but this no problem as there was a kettle in the room.

We had room service for the two nights we were stopping and the Angus beef burger was nice and was a complete difference from the one I had in New York a couple of months ago but that was another story and revue.

It was a nice surprise that on the first night we had complementary fruit juices, ice creams and mints bought to our room, this was a nice touch.

The whole floor was nice and quiet and the rooms are sufficiently insulated that there was no noise from either side.

The hotel is perfectly situated to Olympia London where we were going over the weekend and a good tip is don t use the hotel breakfast service as it is quite pricey, there is a great little coffee bar called Egg and Bun just across the road.

Overall a good weekend and the hotel did not let us down and made the stay enjoyable.

The bed was made bad, with a blood stain on the pillow was not changed the cover but only the pillow turned around, when we returned to the hotel after 0 h we were refused drinks in the bar area, although all the others still had drinks in front of him. We were rather offered to buy the room service and then consume these drinks below (which we agreed to), unfortunately we were then left, there was no one!
For breakfast, a cup without a saucer and teaspoon was slipped down to me without tea, when I wanted to get the missing utensils myself this was not possible!

Rooms look tired, corridors worn out, did not like my stay, won't be going there again.

Hotel well located near subway line Piccadilly. Spacious and well equipped rooms. Clean. Breakfast varied and hearty. Nice lounge bar restaurant with some good and hearty dishes (green curry with chicken).

Visited for a work event. Very nice hotel, good service and the food was delicious.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location is great, Hammersmith is a beautiful, lively district and the connection to the city is ideal. The hotel is very large and well attended - but you don't notice much of it. The rooms are well insulated, you can't hear the noises from the hallway or from the neighboring room. Only the street noise is unbearable with the window open. Closed you can hardly hear anything here either. The room was functional and clean. Four of them are quite cramped, but enough to sleep ;-) There is only a deduction for the drain in the bathroom, which doesn't really work well.
The staff is friendly, and the rush at the breakfast buffet is well under control - we never had to wait for a table. The buffet itself is great, huge selection, everything you could want. If the withered decoration from the previous day on the plates with sausage and cheese were replaced with fresh ones every day, it would be perfect ;-)

The Hotel is walking distance from Hammersmith stations. The entrance is on the ground floor. Luggage storage is located here as well.
Initially the layout of the hotel and the elevators were very confusing.
Check in is one floor up. Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. The lady who checked me in recognised me and remembered my name from check in whenever she saw me.
My room was nice, modern, with complimentary water in the mini bar fridge which I very much appreciated.
Bathroom was modern with a walk in shower. Very clean.
I did not use the restaurant or breakfast so cannot comment.

Very nice rooms, liked having a fridge. Comfortable firm bed and hotel staff friendly. Was very happy that our checkout time was extended a couple of hours as it gave a chance to freshen up for our 10 PM flight home. Only downside was our first night at the Buffet restaurant, choice of meals wasn't great and a bit dried out, also to our dismay we overheard the manager telling staff if people go back and fill their plate charge them extra, and sure enough we were asked how many plates did we have, as it was we only had one each as the food was only average, but this is not what a "Buffet" restaurant should be doing as people will get annoyed at being deceived, suffice to say we found other eateries outside the hotel for the rest of our stay.

Syloni was very helpful through out stay.She made us feel comfortable and handed us coffee vouchers since our rooms weren't ready. Breakfast was very elaborate and there is wide choice for vegetarian also.

Breakfast is also delicious.
I came to a honeymoon and it was nice to upgrade my room

Busy place especially with tourists ... parking can be a bit hard to find as roadworks are ongoing around the site ... overall a good experience & staff were really helpful

Usual expected quality of service of a Novotel - excellent. The staff are great.


The rooms are ok but bathroom had mould around the bathtub and pot luck as to whether any water came out of the taps or not. I think the building is probably just too big for it's plumbing system.
An ok stay - we love Novotels - but I wouldn't choose this one if something else suitable was available.

Nice hall but terrible room, not good value for money

Super efficient staff for events and reception and in the bar.
Love the atmosphere as its relaxed and modern refurb picks up your mood. Came for event so not sure what the rooms are like but I would assume it's of high standard based on the rest of the building.
They had a gym and piano that can be used by the guests and visitors.

Initially the room we were given wasn't to a standard we would expect. Phoned to reception and they were extremely helpful, they moved us and even moved our luggage for us while we were out. No dramas or complaints they were helpful and wanted to resolve. Couldn't recommend highly enough, it's when things aren't quite right that you can really judge how good people are and they were excellent. Thank you

I loved the check in done by Johanne who was the front of house office manager she was super friendly. One colleague next to her who's name was Domitille was very friendly and professional and she advised me on local areas where me and my boyfriend could go for dinner. I would definitely be visiting this hotel again.

I stay here once a year due to my work with the London SF scene. Rooms are comfortable, neat and clean, with air conditioning and the usual tea & coffee facilities, etc. The breakfast buffet is fabulous, and surprisingly high quality, with a variety of cooked and cold options available.

The onsite dining options are predictably quite pricey, and not always good value for money (the dinner buffet is nowhere near the quality of breakfast, and often lukewarm, with various less choice and only one vegetarian option; the main bar and grill are both much better, but a lot more expensive; the smaller bars only serve disgusting reheated burgers/hotdogs and a limited range of prepackaged sandwiches). Luckily, the hotel is only a 10 minute walk from Hammersmith's main shopping area and a multitude of bars and restaurants.

5 star and same 4 star ... 5 star in UK, service ... but it is the latest facility .. old ... cultural property grade 6 star

Business hotel for a conference. 4 stars for breakfast, service and rooms. The corridors are oppressive with the ceiling a bit low. A good place to stay a bit out of the way.

Very nice hotel, a few meters from the metro / subway station and a bus station. Very complete breakfast, very spacious room and wifi. While it is not close to the attractions of London there are many means of transport nearby.

Although somewhat crowded, there are good quiet rooms.
Near subway, bus, pubs and shops.

Excellent base, perfect for Queens Tennis. Great access to central London.

Hotel is grand. Staff are very pleasant and mannerly. Room was fine. Things that I didn't like was the shower/bath. It's actually quite dangerous. Very easy to slip. There was no floor grip in the bath either as part of the bath or as a mat. No handle either to hold onto. I nearly slipped twice getting out and I was being very careful. Sink is odd too. Very shallow sink. Water doesn't accumulate and wash down at the part that's closest to you. So if you are brushing your teeth and spitting into the sink it doesn't wash away unless you move the water with your hand to it. Again weird. Pillows are odd too. Not that comfortable and one is an odd shape. Down pillows are always better in my opinion. Entrance/reception to the hotel is not obvious and weirdly located. We came in on the ground floor where the coaches are thinking that's reception but were told it's on the 1st floor above. No proper sign outside saying where to go. Maybe that's just that way of enterting but still strange.

The room looks very nice and the breakfast is very good.

We booked a double room for 2 people but not a double bed. When we tried to change to another room with 2 beds they told us that there were no rooms with 2 beds of this category (I think it was called Executive). We were not informed when we made the reservation and we could not even change to a lower category room with 2 beds because we were told there were no rooms available. It was very dissapointed.

Went to hotel for travel conference. Didn't stay the night. Dinner was OK. Chicken dish for a lot of people. Bar and general facilities I saw were excellent

Lovely stay, friendly staff, superb standards, the comfiest bed and pillows.

Satisfactory except that the hotel somehow missed out that we were staying for 6 hours more on the last day!

Something I wasn't expecting from a 4-star hotel is having to deal with such bad towels. They were leaving white threads all over your body, like cheap towels do.
The room wasn't impressive either.
Breakfast was ok.

I attended a Wedding Reception, the location is very convenient for everyone and the service was decent!

Hi micheal, my brief stay at your motel was exactly what I was looking for and could recommend you to any one,The staff where friendly and courtiuos,the meals were good and well presented.

Very Pleasantly surprised. It was just a stop over before our flight the next day. Only stayed because we used some points but the 1st floor was fantastic. The Restaurant where we had dinner & breakfast the next morning which was very good. The bar where you gave us a welcoming drink & there was even a gym but we didn't use that. I love a modern hotel.

Room and public areas were pristine. Quality and selection of breakfast was excellent. Service and staff were efficient and professional not to mention extremely attentive, a credit to the hotel.

Reception floor with restaurant and bar was fresh and modern.
The room barely gets approved. Mottled carpets, worn, hard beds, shapeless pillows. An upgrade had been fine.
The breakfast was perfectly okay. Lots to choose from.
The location was great. About 5 min walk to the subway in Hammersmith where yellow (Circle line), green (District line) and pink (Hammersmith & city line) line go.

Very swanky place, nice decor, friendly staff, good range of big and small meeting rooms, air conditioning, decent toilets and good audio-visual equipment. Easy to find, well located and decent food. Food and accommodation are both reasonably priced.

Great hotel with very good rooms. The location is also pretty good. However if you pick a bed for a third person it isn't the best.

Stayed here eight nights for work the hotel is well located has good beds and is clean. The WiFi is okay too. Things to note not every room has air-conditioning ours didn t and the breakfast gets repetitive as it never changes and you need to watch out as they like to charging you for it despite the fact it s already included in some room rates

Easy going hotel. Hammersmith is a nice suburb and easy access to London downtown by the tube.
