When my wife died there recently. The doctors all said they were sorry this happened. You get that and a list of funeral homes or cremators because they tell you they have no morgue. I would think the head of the hospital would have taken the time to call us or send someone to check on us, assist us or even offer help. Call me bitter, call me a grieving widower out to blame someone, but you can't call me a liar. I am sure the administrators will be sure our insurance coverage was handled properly. Julie in ICU, thank you. You were the only person that took the time.

Dr Mack did a great job on my shoulder replacement! Already feeling better from the no bone on bone pain! While on the 4th floor healing after surgery the entire staff was great. I want to specifically point out Leah. She went out of her way to make me feel better and that meant a lot to me at he time. She is caring and professional and a great asset to the hospital team! Promote her quickly! Thanks!

Everything about my surgery was well organized until it was time to checkout and leave the hospital. The nurse told me what time to have my ride there and that my papers were in order. Yet we waited 1 hour and 15 minutes to get my IV taken out, papers printed out, and pain medicine prescription written. I asked 3 different nurses to help but Doris was the only one that could do it and Doris was MIA for that long. It appeared she took her lunch break and left me waiting. Otherwise my surgery was well taken care of.

Brough my wife to the ER. Having the valet take the car so I could stay with my wife was the start of a great experience! Although the ER was busy, everything went smoothly. When we left, she had everything she needed for follow-up care. Great Job!

From the moment I arrived it was the worst experience ever..I waited 7 hours to get upstairs to my room after being admitted. The patient next to me was allows to have her entire family , including children. The kids were unruly and loud. I ask several times for them to be quiet down. Not one word was ever said to them. So I loudly ask them to take the daycare to the waiting room. After finally getting to my room at 1 in the morning I was exhausted. The nursing staff were attentive and okay. The nurse told me and my husband I would be going downstairs at 8 in the morning for a stress test. After numerous attempts I was finally told I would be going down anytime. Finally at 1 I was taken down only to wait 2 more hours in the hallway. I finally got to go eat around 3:30. Then taken back downstairs for 3 more hours - mostly spent waiting in the hallway
I was Never so glad to leave a hospital in my life
I will never go back there. It was a horrible experience!

Today, June 19, 2018 my 68 year old mentally disabled sister was scheduled for a routine colonoscopy. She has had several colonoscopies at North Cypress Medival Center in the past years. I brought my sister and was checking her in. I presented her Medicare card, secondary insurance, social security card and was told she needed a picture ID. I explained she had no drivers license, no passport, never held a job,and that as in the past my mother presented her picture ID as in the past procedures. I was told that after a 2 day special prep for the colonoscopy that my disabled sister could not have her procedure because she had no picture ID! I talked to the hospital director Kirk Jones and he very rudely told me the policy was no pic iD no procedure.. I explained that I had power of attorney over my sister, that the preparation for a disabled person was very difficult, that we were not aware of this requirement and that the doctor knew who my sister was since he had done the procedure on her multiple times. The entire outpatient office was in an uproar trying to get this approved; including Dr. Tolands office personnel, and Dr. Toland himself talked with me several times between surgeries trying to appeal to Kirk Jones. Alll of our attempts to follow through with the colonoscopy were to no avail since it was obvious Mr, Jones and hospital attorney were trying to prove a point and use my disabled sister as an example for their photo policy.
I'm appalled that she had every credential needed; especially the ones that paid for the procedure, was a prior patient, my husband is a personal and professional lifelong friend of the gastro doctor and that a technicality , no drivers license pic since she has never driven was the reason she was denied service.
My sister is still living with my 91 year old mother who spent 3 days feeding her a special diet and prepping her for this procedure. None of this mattered to the hospital repsentative, Mr. Kirk Jones. I am beyond appalled, disappointed, and convinced that my sister who has enough hurdles in life was treated as a person who didn't matter since she had no photo ID and myself as her guardian and power of attorney was not allowed to verify her identity. She has no desire to prepare for another test anytime soon.
My husband and I are considering contacting the local news agencies Channel2, Channel 11, Channel 13, and Fox26. about this disservice to my sister Venita Mehrkam today.

The obgyn...was awesome...nothing but love for her but the wait time was crazy. I've never understood why appointments are scheduled 15 minutes apart from each other since it's a proven fact that they are not met. Solution...space appointments out more!

I received great service with the medical staff, however, the three stars is to reflect the valet parking. After my appointment my husband and I went out to pick up our car. We waited 35 minutes for car to be brought to us. There were nine people after us that all got their cars prior to us, I think the attendant took our car on a joy ride. I will never use the valet parking there again.

Dont come to this emergency room at this hospital...

Dont come to this emergency room at this hospital if it is a true emergency because you could truly lose your loved one child or spouse.. We waited 4 1/2 hours just to see a doctor. Came in at 1:45 today and waited until 6:15 until we actually got some medical assistance. Our nurse was very nice and so was the doctor but this hospital is unorganized and cheap. This is not the same north cypress medical center anymore. This place is way understaffed. It was bought by HCA and has gone downhill. The bed sheets of the bed they put my wife in were dirty and unsanitary. They also never even put my wife in a room which im sure they will bill the insurance company for which is insurance fraud. She actually sat on a portable bed next to the ambulance doors for another 5 hours where she was treated. We spent 10 hours at this er. We will never come back here again. We came here today because we had been coming here the last 15 years and recieved the best care in houston. Its very disappointing to see this place drop to the bottom.

If I could give 0 I would. Entrapped into allowing admitance into hospital in order to receive radiology test through Emergency room visit. Took 5 days to perform test. Basically held hostage while waiting for test to be performed. Complained full time to staff and never got response, just avoidance. Even after full acknowledgement of THEIR wrong. Sure collected their full payment though!!!!!!

Very poor and incorrect diagnosis. Very unetchical billing schemes. This is a doctor owned hospital that only cares about profits first. They are now being sued by insurance companies for fraudulent billing schemes. Just about every ER doctor is purposely out of network, even though the hospital may be in network. I'd stongly advise against getting care here and go to a corporate hospital that is not doctor owned. I'd give zero stars it it were an option. Beware!

I had a 3 day stay on the 4th floor of the hospital and I was dissatisfied with how I was treated by both the surgeons and nurses who cared for me. The staff was inconsiderate and rude. Don't plan on using this hospital again, no matter how convenient the distance.

My daughter was sent to the HCA Northwest Houston on Friday, January Third from Encompass Rehab.
The ER Staff was immediately attentive and extremely efficient. Susan Tracy Steck was then admitted to a room where she received excellent care and attention. She was released January 9, 2020
As her mother, I cannot say enough about the efficient and excellent care she received.
I highly recommend this Hospital and hope to see one in Katy, TX.

Do not use the hospitals labs for bloodwork. They sent a bill for over $7000 for a little lab work to my insurance. My portion was more than what the total would have been at lab Corp. Price gouging at its worst with no up front estimate. Plus they were super rude. This was just labs ordered by our pediatrician and us going to the lab in the professional building.

Once I was inside, my experience was great. The problem is the parking. Even the valet was backed up. Either provide more parking, or more valet attendants. There are plenty of imaging centers that have better parking.

Registration, Pre-Op and Surgical care were 5 stars. Polite, caring, knowledgable individuals. The care on the ward (for a 23 hour stay) was dismal. IV ran dry and despite alarms ringing I had to call before anyone came to check and replace. Water not refilled or left out of reach. I was sat on edge of bed and left alone for 30 minutes despite my stating I was dizzy. 1 hour and 20 minutes and multiple calls to have someone escort me to restroom. Only responsive and caring individual on the ward was the PCA Henry--he was outstanding.

Came here to the emergency room and the staff/nurses didn t seem to listen and I had to repeat myself multiple times, the nurse couldn t find the vein and kept wiggling the needle around in my arm, and the doctor was more worried about her phone going off than listening to me tell her what was wrong. In case you wanted to know the names of said "providers" the "Doctor" was Tran, N.H. , Mina M.D. and nurse, "JML."

They also moved me out of the room and put me in hallway right next an oxygen tank and a sign that read, "do not put equipment or furniture along this wall."

During the initial check-in, my blood pressure read 153/82 to which I asked if they were going to do anything about it and was told it was urgent matter. I was also told that there was nothing that they could do for me and when I asked why they couldn't tell me that before charging me for a bunch of unrelated test's they said, "we can't tell people that."

If you re sick or need immediate care I WOULD NOT come here. First and last time to this medical facility.

Wife and I Have been going to N Cypress over the years for a number of reasons.
Very good nursing staff...kind and caring. Most doctors are excellent.
did have one horrible experience when my wife had a brain tumor removed, the operating physician told me...it was cancer........and left the waiting room, I had to follow him down the hall to ask a question...I said , "what next?" he said "more tests" and kept walking away. Then the ICU doctor came to her room and told her she had incurable cancer that had metastasized and would probably die in 7 months. This all proved to be wrong, he even gave us the wrong name for the cancer. We were devastated for several weeks until an oncologist gave us accurate info...tumor was localized and could be cured with chemo and radiation.

I have had a couple of out patient services at North Cypress. I felt so comfortable with the staff around. they checked on me to make sure I was ok. during the procedure they talked to me, they made me feel calm, and due to no anesthesia one nurse even held my hand just in case I felt pressure for comfort. I had an amazing experience.

Had my mammogram yesterday. Staff was so nice. Got me in, explained everything and the technician was very gentle. We all know it can be an uncomfortable procedure and it was not at all. I was in and out in about 30 mins AND their was free valet parking at this building which was handy on a very rainy day. Make sure you tip your valet!

Very poor billing department. Nobody answers the telephone in billing. have left messages for call backs and they do not call back.

Made me pay a pre-payment of over $700 for a procedure which was way over the amount I was finally responsible for. They have refused to refund my money blaming it on a re-billing to insurance company.

This has been going on for at least two months.

Stay away from these guys.

I stayed almost a week this time, and it was a very enjoyable visit, as far as hospital visits go. For the last 10 years I have been a frequent guest, and have always been treated very well. The food used to be delicious, but they have a new menu now, and it also is delicious!! The nurses, cpa's, down to the housecleaning staff, are very professional!!

Recently, a family member was in need of a Specialist, and ended up having a procedure done in the North Cypress Medical Center surgery unit. Could not have been a better experience. Thank you.

Billing office was HORRIBLE and is still horrible. After being forced to pay $2800 for a procedure out of pocket that my insurance company stated was covered and confirmed by my doctor, I've gotten a confirmation letter showing that North Cypress Medical Center did indeed get payment from my Insurance company. Now the billing office is telling me I'll have to wait an addition 2 to 3 weeks for it to go to the review committee so I can get my money back...something smells here.

I had the best experience with staff members at this hospital! I came in with an infection through the ER. It took a long wait due to the Covid pandemic ,but they had to make sure it was safe and clean. The staff checked in on me a lot until I proceeded into an ER room. When I got admitted, My nurses were very attentive and kind. They immediately checked me out and went thoroughly through My paper work. I ended up needing a quick surgery which I was taken care of quickly. The surgical team was so comforting! They talked me through everything. I was alone during everything because of the Covid situation. They really put my mind at ease. After my surgery, I still was handle with love and care from the nurses and staff. I truly enjoyed my experience there. It made the Eerie days go by quickly and smoothly. Thank you all for making me feel welcome and comfortable in a setting that can feel like the opposite.

My husband was in a motor vehicle accident and recently went to the ER here. We received horrible service. Take your business elsewhere. All the staff, nurses and even doctors were all rude. They were unhelpful and had terrible attitudes. I've never seen anything like it. A whole hospital with nothing but rude staff? Don't make the mistake of going here. Listen to the reviews. The sacred heart emergency room off I 10 and bunker hill is so much better. I will never use this hospital again and will make sure to spread the word through reviews. This is the worst service I have ever received in my life. Ben taub offers way better service!

Had a triple bypass surgery in 2013, ended up going back to the hospital due to serious heart surgery, bad enough to have chocked in my sleep!
I passed out once, due to wrong medication that had brought by blood pressure way too low
Doctors visits were way too casual and seemed to me getting paid for visits was the main motivation
I could not eat their meals and had to force myself to have a bite
I happened to lose 35 lbs

I went to the ER at the hospital for a torn leg muscle. I was seen almost immediately after checking in. A doctor came in and examined me within 5 minutes and I was placed in a room. The X-ray and MRI staff were very friendly and professional and the nurses made sure I was comfortable. I would not hesitate to return again if I needed to.

My daughter was treated very well by the emergency room nurses and doctors. They were very attentive and knowledgeable. They only thing I didn't like is they didn't let her pick what she wanted for breakfast. They picked items she doesn't like. We would still go there first for our emergency needs.
After one of the emergencies my daughter was admitted. The hospital room was like a five star hotel with towell shaped swans on the bed. She was very comfortable and was given a menu to pick her meals that time.

I was admitted to the ER and later moved to a hospital room. Upon my release there has been no follow-up from any one.
I have had test regarding my thyroid and made an appointment with an endocrinologist he only ordered a blood test. Having been hospitalized you would think the hospital has my blood work. The doctor appointment was a waste of time. I am suffering from the symptoms of hyperthyroidism and this doctor was clearly not interested in taking the timeTo help me. I am very disappointed with the lack of empathy expected from a health care facility. I am convinced that the doctors care more about making appointments and ordering blood work than actually helping patients. Will be looking for another hospital and doctor.
