I spent a week in this Hospital and was very impressed with the facility and the people who work there. The facility was clean and all of the employee's were so professional and thoughtful - the very best in my limited knowledge of things. In addition to all the nurses whose names I didn't get (and they don't hand out business cards) D. Hodges, R.Behar and Victor Kareh do extraordinary work.

Ever since this hospital has been bought out it s been a nightmare. We have had some good and bad nurses/PCA s. My grandmother ended up getting sores all over because her diaper was changed only once a day.. it got to the point where basically if I didn t change her she wouldn t have been changed at all. When brought to the staffs attention it was not a big deal and brushed off. You push the nurse button and you re waiting 30 minutes so better hope it s not an emergency. The communication of this place and what is actually going on with your health is the worst I have ever seen. The staff is not trained on the new equipment so they re all running around taking wild guesses. Had a NG tube replaced 3 different times because it kept being done wrong.

Dr. Amr, Dr. Daye and Dr. Estansi are fantastic.

My husband recently had a stroke and was admitted to North Cypress Medical Center. His care started in the Emergency Department with Dr. Blades and a excellent team of nurses. He was then admitted to the ICU where he continued his stay, again treated by an exceptional team of nurses. We would like to thank Lyle and Robert for the excellent care they provided. North Cypress is also a Gold Plus rated hospital for Stroke care. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful facility so close to home that provides quality care.

Do NOT come to this ER. We waited here for hours and hours and were told by a nurse practitioner that there was no doctor on staff. Several needless and costly tests later, we saw a doctor for five minutes. No diagnosis. None. The next business day, our family doctor said it was a common illness and wrote a scrip. Done. The ER charged us over $900 and we have good insurance. This ER will find a way to overcharge you. Sad. Bad. The worst.

My OB office told me to go to an ER to get an ultrasound because I was having problems and was 8 weeks pregnant (April 2014). They did the U/S and took some blood and the doc saw me for about 30 seconds. He told me I had lost the baby and that I could resume normally activities (which included strenuous exercise and drinking alcohol when I clarified). On a follow up ultrasound by my doc 3 weeks later, it showed a perfectly healthy pregnancy!! I understand people are employed by hospitals and make mistakes but it was the hospital refusing to do anything about the $1100 in bills I received as a result that made me mad!!! They basically told me they are careful to not give a written diagnosis to avoid ever being sued or having to decrease bills...and sure enough, my discharge papers said "possible miscarriage" and the ultrasound report said "highly indicative of fetal demise." My advice: go to a hospital that actually cares about their patients and not just the bottom line.

They have thorough agreements with insurance companies then charge the patient whatever they later decide the insurance company didn't pay. A year after my single outpatient procedure here (after I had received a refund for what they originally overcharged me) they send me a bill for an additional balance. I received a single call a month ago notifying me about this new balance from their collection division. They provide no explanation of charges and refuse to provide and breakdown of new charges. They claim they have to mail any details relating to the actual breakdown of charges but never send anything. Additionally, the pathologist they use sent me no bill and submitted me to debt collection. The doctor that did the procedure constantly overcharged compared to what his practice had agreed with my insurance.

I recently had a day surgery procedure and the experience couldn't have been any better! Everyone was top notch, from the pre-op and post-op nurses to the transporters and pharmacy reps. My sister was with me and was very worried about the whole process and the nursing staff and physicians kept her in the loop and really put her at ease. I would definitely recommend NCMC!

I would have rated my experience with this facility higher had it not been for the extreme unprofessionalism and derisive, insolent attitude of one particular nurse that saw to me. Although all of the other personnel at the center did their jobs wonderfully, it takes just one person with an attitude as poor and contemptuous as hers to convince me to go somewhere else in my next time of need.

My experience with North Cypress Medical Center is exact opposite with some of negative comments' here.
I am writing this to express my gratitude to all doctors (especially to doctor John Nguyen) and nurses for the heart surgery that I received on December last year at this hospital. I never had any kind of surgery before. You guys made me feel at home when I felt uncomfortable in the hospital environment.
Thanks for comforting me and taking away all my stress.

When you go to a hospital you expect bedside manner, kindness and understanding. That is not what I encountered. Even though the doctor spoke nicely to me and I was discharged within a few hours, you could hear nurses and doctors talk about patients in ways that shouldn't be spoken. I really wanted to say "I can hear all of you!". It's sad to hear nurses and doctors (that are supposed to be kind when someone expresses not feeling well) treat them awful behind their back and frankly it's very immature behavior. I've heard so many stories and now reading these reviews I realize I'm not the only one. It's really a shame when you claim to have a high standard of care but in the end beneath the shiny exterior is a lack of patient care. The E.R is a sad excuse when it comes to empathy. I'm not saying everyone there is awful, but what I listened to that night was not professional nor was it appropriate. If you are sick please just go somewhere else, unless you are in dire need of medical attention. Trusts these reviews and do your research.

Great facility, pleasant staff in all areas, clean and we'll lit. Nurses were helpful and knowledgeable as well as concerned with your comfort (thanks for that warm blanket!). Recovery room folks were helpful when needed and very accommodating (thanks for the Coke!). It was the best possible out patient/ hospital experience I can recall ever. Loved the anesthesiologists... They used great stuff, had a normal, friendly conversation with me beforehand and made me very comfortable.

I took my son to this hospital tonight because he had a sudden spike in temperature and severe stomach pain. The pain was so bad that my 5 year old son couldnt even walk. This "hospital" did a swab test for strep and never addressed his stomach pain. After my son's dose of tylenol started to wear off he was doubled over in pain. This facility didn't even offer to give him anything else for his pain until I demanded that they see him. They were going to discharge him without any sort of explanation.

I asked to speak to the charge nurse because several people had went in that had come in after my son that were not in any visible pain. In the meantime, my 5 year old is doubled over in pain, crying uncontrollably. I asked three different employees to speak to the charge nurse on duty. Her name was Alicia. Alicia never came to talk to me to explain anything that was going on or could possibly be going on.

I would have given zero stars if possible but Google's lowest score is 1 star. I wouldn't take my dog to be treated at this facility ever again.

Saw a post about Zero Stars. I have to agree. Just know when you come to North Cypress Medical Center Emergency Room, you will not be informed that you are making a separate agreement with the doctor who works for Cypress Emergency Associates (CEA).

(CEA) is a separate entity and will send you a separate invoice, outside your hospital deductible. I have Cigna, even though the Hospital is "In-Network" the affiliates at (CEA) are "Out-of-Network". When your insurance only pays what they should pay for an "In-Network" price, you will have to spend hours of your life with collection agency (CMRE), hospital billing department, and Cypress Emergency Associates' billing department. (CEA) may or may not adjust their invoice to your insurance's contractual in-network agreement. Which, they will deal directly with the collection agency, they won't tell you their decision...you can call back in 2-3 weeks to determine if they decided you paid enough money.

This was my first time at HCA North Cypress.

Everyone I came in contact with during my outpatient procedure was friendly, helpful and companionate. This is even more surprising considering how busy the facility was, which goes to show how well the staff works together in caring for the patients.

Highly recommend this hospital if you are in the area.

Terrible care. I went to their emergency room because I was blacking out, fainting. When I arrived, they did CT scans to make sure that I had not hurt myself. I was told that the scans were fine. They needed a urine specimen. I told the nurse that I could not go by myself, I was extremely dizzy. She put me in a wheelchair, and left me in the restroom by myself. When I was finished, I called for help, but she was gone. I got up to get into the wheelchair, and was so dizzy I fell. I had to scream for help. The nurse comes running in, screaming, "you didn't hit the floor, you didn't hit the floor!" When I was on the floor. After the fall in the restroom, my tail bone hurt horribly. I had to insist on another CT Scan. This time, just laying in the scan was agony. It didn't hurt the first time, at all. Sure enough, my tailbone was fractured. I got very upset. When I got him, I called guest servicets. I mmedieately got a call fro the ortho saying that he had went back and looked at the scan, and my tail bone was broken in the first scan before the fall at the hospital. He said that the break was a little worse. It felt a LOT worse. So the hospital finally calls me back, and even though I fell an hurt it more, they say that the xrays show the same damage, when the ortho told me that it was a bigger fracture. They admit that the nurse did not do her job, and they "talked" to her. They will not do anything else, and I am in horrible pain. Go someplace else, if possible.

The Women s Center is THE BEST!! Have had to go there for either a mammogram or ultrasound every six months for the last few years. The lady technicians are so nice and very gentle. The only problem I had was being billed by an outside radiology service to have have radiographs interpreted when my insurance says it s all inclusive. Have had a few outpatient surgeries over the years with no issues. I will agree the few times I ve been to the ER the wait was a bit long when no one was in the waiting room. Thankfully I don t have to go there often. Appreciate the valet parking for doctors appointments when running late because parking for the main building can be a nightmare.

Shocking and poor customer experience while at Fry...

Shocking and poor customer experience while at Fry Rd Location. Front desk/registration staff yells my name repeatedly and asks what I'm here for! Like a cattle call or barn auction. I didn't respond in disbelief, but requests continued in a loud booming voice for all lobby guests to hear. Now, I'm really confused because I've just completed paperwork in addition to having a scheduled appointment. During my silence, I'm wondering couldn't staff review computer system or paperwork or even ask for me to come to the desk for information needed. I finally realize this is ACTUALLY happening with the continued cattle call. I approach the front desk and discuss inappropriateness of open request of my confidential information and provide information requested. Staff then proceeds to yell information to another staff on the phone for all to HEAR. Geez! She apologizes immediately and honestly doesn't recognize the lack of professionalism. It appears it's a common practice.

A short period later, another staff person greets me and proceeds to openly explain my service to an open lobby. No confidentiality AT ALL!!! No meeting room. Nothing! Again, I'm baffled. What's HIPPA again?
Never been to this location. And will never return.
Incredible poor experience from the START!!!!

I was having sharp and severe pain in my abdomen, I went to the ER at 11:00 pm on a Saturday night and was seen right away. They performed multiple tests and bloodwork and determined I would need to have my gallbladder removed. Throughout the whole process the nurses were informative and checked and managed my pain regularly. Thank you North Cypress ER and Radiology staff for taking care of me!!!

I have found the staff extremely kind and caring. Quick response time and very well organized. All my doctors are part of this facility.

It was a very pleasant experience for an unplanned visit to ER and overnight stay. All staff were kind and gentle no matter what area they worked in.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the ER and room. All areas were clean.

Food was good and excellent choices.

Discharge was fast compared to some I have waited hours for in other facilities.

All round excellent rating from me.

I especially liked Nurse Danny and Henry. They were all very good. The nurse that really sticks out and is very aware of medication times, concerns with frequent visits to check on me was the nurse from Germany. I can't recall her name.......Mono Lisa was by far had the least bedside manner but was professional. She needed constant reminders of medication times and lost track several times for the purpose of intervals between doses. The staff was all in all good. I've had worse. I've also had better.

Wow this place used to be a good facility.

Wow this place used to be a good facility.

Ever since it went from being Dr owned and was bought by HAC it has gone down the tubes. HAC doesn't care about anything other than their bottom line they dont care how the people paying their bills are treated.

Dr office rents went up, hospital employees moral won't down, and now parking attendants and receptuonsists are being allowed to verbally attack patients and nothing is being done more than you are directed to file a verbal complaint.

We watched 3 parking attendants verbally attack a handicapped man trying to get his relative into a wheel chair all because he parked exactly where another parking attendant told him to park at. So when 3 bystanders walk in and ask the male receptionist to get someone from management down to stop the verbal abuse, they were all told by the receptionist that they needed to get out of his face and leave. All 3 asked 3 more tines before the receptionist kept ignoring them and called the local police officer assigned to the hospital saying people were bothering him and he needed protection.

Not one person from HAC did anything about any of it other than instruct everyone to call the hospitals main number and tell them that we needed to file a verbal complaint about an employee.

Very dissatisfied in how this hospital went down hill so fast since September of 2018 after the takeover.

Our whole family will be using another hospital and our Dr is in the process of moving his offices after this happened as he said this was the 5th time he knows of issues like this since Septemver and said it is getting worse.

I'm only 34 years old but I am an epileptic with pancreatitis and a number of other intestinal issues, so I have been a frequent flier of hospitals over the last 8 years. I've had now 16 surgeries and the latest was in 3/2017 here a NCMC. A complete mix up because my Indo Con. doc's new nurse couldn't remember what all hospitals he'd practiced at. It's the BEST mistake ever. The ER experience was pleasant and timely. Everyone seemed to LISTEN to what I had to say. When you spend your life having to listen to your body to know when something is wrong, you know what to look for and I finally felt like these doctors listened. They took my history, listened to the issues, and then took action. I was shocked how fast they worked and how kind everyone was.

I was not happy with the my experience. I have a constant blood loss dues to mutable surgeries and an void I have in my patatenial cavity. I told the nurse that administered the first unit of blood that I needed another unit. I always get 2 units when I get blood. I also told my doctor that when he came in. Unfortunately it was not doctor Sing who knows my history well. Anyway the doctor decided not to g I very the second unit based on my blood count which was 8.8 after I unit. The hemeglobin was 7.1 when it was determined that I had to have blood. I am not like other patients I have this constant loss of blood daily. That is why I always need 2 units. I explained that to all the nurses and doctor. Why wouldn't they listen. I now have to call my GP doctor Grewal on Monday and ask him to order another unit of blood to get at the Infusion Center. All this hassle because I could and did not get the blood I need. I am on Hospice now as of December 23, 2017. I do not walk well anymore. It is hard to get in and out of the car these days. This adds to the frustration of getting in and out of the car and going somewhere to get blood when I could have gotten it while in the hospital. I was very disappointed that this occured. Please help me understand why this happened. I have been in your hospital several times and I feel likeep most of the time I get good care. Not this time. I know about the protocol that the blood count is 8 or above no more blood, but for me their needs to be an exception. The doctor needs to understand my cercomstance. I don't fall under protocol. Please send this to the man in charge of the hospital. My room number was 4803. I do see several doctors within your system. I see doctor Grewal, Mahzar, Tuli, Minukanpike, and Chapman. Now the nurse recommended I see doctor Yen I believe thats his name. He is a blood doctor that was also consulted. He was the one who suggested that I call doctor Grewal and get the blood at the Infusion Center.
Thank you,
Katherine L. Conrad

Service is SLOW and I think they try to starve the patients. Most of the nurses were friendly and accommodating, but we had one in particular that was extremely "angry" at everything and everyone. That's the last thing you need when you are at the hospital with a sick loved one who has just had surgery. Angry, unprofessional nurses and a kitchen that seems to be out to starve their patients. Will not go back to this hospital.

I have been going to this hospital/facility for 4 years now, because my physician is with this hospital. They are horrible, the ER staff is mostly incompetent with the exception of a few. Was having sever chest pain once and they forgot to do an EKG. So I would not recommend this hospital. On top of my bad experience, the few people I know that work there are treated poorly, so they are not a good company to work for either.

Staff are friendly and professional! They made me feel very comfortable since this was my first procedure in this Medical Center. Since I am new to Texas. Once I got into the procedure room, everyone introduced themselves and told me what they each were there for. And then they put this plastic thing in mouth and told me to bite down on it. Next I woke up in the recovery room. The nurse checked my vitals signs and call my daughter to pick me up. While I waited for my daughter, I was offered some coffee and crackers. My daughter showed up and I was released. I need to follow up with my doctor in two weeks.

If i could a rating lower than 1 star i would. I ...

If i could a rating lower than 1 star i would. I took my 15 year old son into the ER on saturday may 20, 2017. Prior to taking him to the er we took him to his dentist and family doctor during the week to see if they could tell us why he had a metal taste in his mouth which was causing him to vomit when he tried to eat something that wasnt sugary. We were recommended rinsing with saltwater. This didnt help after a couple of days of trying. Our son could not eat at school but was able to eat applesauce. He was feeling weak and losing weight. So on saturday i told him that i was taking him to the er. He was scared he had never been but i believed that the doctors could tell us what was wrong. When we arrived that evening my son was nervous and scared. He asked me "dad am i going to be alright" and i assured him yes. After waiting for a short time they called us in. The er nurse whose name was brittaney went on to take his vitals then asked my son what brought him to the er. My son told her of his symptom. Her tone of voice and response to him was very offending when said "YOU CAME TO THE ER FOR THAT" my son looked at in disbelief to her response. I was shocked as well. I then pursued to explain to her where we had taken my son prior to taking him to er. BUT! to her it was like you got to be kidding me er is for life threatning emergencies. We were told to go back and wait in the waiting room. Er nurse later came out and did a swab swipe in his throat. While in the waiting room my son asked me with a sad look on his face and said to me"dad she offended me so much with her response, can we go home please". We were about to leave when we got called back in to speak to the doctor. This was no better her body language and tone of voice was just like the er nurse. I explained to the er doctor why we were their and all i wanted was to know why my son is having this problem. I basically had to beg the doctor to do blood work. The doctor said i will do that as a courtesy since you asked, but he need to go see a specialist. Basically telling me their is nothing more they could do for him. At this point i was very upset and made it very clear to both the er nurse and doctor. That it was their job to find out what was wrong with my son. But to no avail. After his blood work came back normal we were discharged 3 hours later. With no dx or resolution. We were given 2 specialist doctors to follow up with. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK TO CYPRESS MEDICAL CENTER ON HUFFMEISTER. IT IS SAD THAT THESE 2 MEDICAL STAFF MEMBERS WERE DISAAPOINTING.

TODAY I RECIEVED A FOLLOW UP PHONE CALL TO OUR ER VISIT. I EXPRESSED MY SINCERE DISAAPOINTMENT. SHE APOLOGIZED AND WAS GOING TO MAKE HOSPITAL DIRECTOR AWARE.

While the service was okay...the bills that followed not so great. My account keeps having amounts added to it a year plus later. The staff at NCMC were so kind and helpful. I had the sweetest lady Check me in. She was very helpful in getting me some disks made that I needed from previous tests. She got me checked in quickly and escorted me back to the waiting room. I was met quickly by the technician who was performing my CT scan. She explained everything and asked questions to make sure the scan would go without interruption. Always a smile and friendly conversation. NCMC is the best! The staff all enjoy working there and that makes me enjoy being there! 10 stars and ten
