Great, definitely worth the entrance fee! Tip: online ticket is DKK 10 cheaper and it is faster! The exhibition is great and looks almost like new, although it is already a few years old. The huge aquarium is simply unbelievable and the feeding with picture of the helmet camera and live commentary of the diver are worth seeing! Many, also interactive, information in DK, DE and EN. Large outdoor area with playgrounds, Finnwalskelett in original size, crab fishing and wide attractions! Definitely worth a trip!!!

There was 4 hours of educational entertainment, for a happy 6 year old boy. That alone is reason enough for us to come again. On the other hand, I found it difficult to find my way around, and e.g. find the toilet. We also got a bad fish for lunch, which however was exchanged for 2 new ones, without any problems.
Super good place to spend a day. Really interesting exhibits - both the oceanarium and all the "minor" things. Nice and clean. Great staff in all the functions that we were dealing with. The kid didn't want to go home again.
Hirtshals is a ferry port and has only a brittle charm. It was raining heavily during our visit and we did not actually have the Oceanarium on the plan. At the end of the day we spent some exciting hours watching seals feeding, stroking small rays and seeing a sunfish for the first time. Anyone who wants to go to Norway via Hirtshals should plan 2-3 extra hours. It is worth it ..
Excellent! The most beautiful aquarium in Northern Europe. The main attraction is the huge moonfish and the feeding by a diver in the aquarium. Meanwhile, there are two slightly smaller sunfish. There are plenty of hands-on activities to increase the environmental awareness of the sea
Super experience. We left 2 Adult, 2 children aged 4 and 6 years. A teenager of 16 years. Super experience. Outside, the weather was fine, plenty of opportunity to play in a very child-friendly playground, us for childish souls We had sandwiches from home. They were laid back in the cool of the car. When the choice went on eating on the spot. 4 stars due to the fact that we not only reach the toilet with the smallest during play outside, as the toilet facilities were not open to the outdoor activities
Really cozy and instructive oceanarium, there are many opportunities for both children and adults, and has many technological means of dissemination considering the size of the place. We were all adults, but could be entertained for a few hours and learning a little about the waters around us, but it's definitely an ideal place to take children with.
The aquarium is easy to reach by car. Free parking. It is nicely laid out with lots of interactive information boards to choose from in three languages. English, German or Danish. For the children there is a stamp booklet at the cash desk where they receive the respective stamp at various stations and at the end of the visit at the exit (souvenir shop) receive a diploma with the name of the child. Admission tickets Adults 180 DKK, children 3-11 years 100 DKK. The prices in the restaurant are ok and very good portions. A highlight is the huge moonfish.
Nice place with peace to immerse yourself in the different species. The large oceanarium is wildly fascinating for both young and old. We were so lucky to visit the place one day when there was big feeding. It is worth planning the trip after.
Nice deep-sea aquarium with many different types of North Sea fish and lots of background information on the different fish and other animals. Each cymbal has several headphones with information about the species in Danish, German and English. Entry is worth the money.
Definitely worth a trip if you are in range of vacation. Aquarium and outside area very nice. Children can fish for crabs, touch starfish, stroke rays, etc ... Soft ice cream and snack on the spot, but you can also everywhere brought food.
A really good experience for adults and children. The place is big, but its biggest force is certainly the very thorough and interactive dissemination. Playgrounds and picnic areas are big and really nice. The outdoor show about whales is really atmospheric and really good. The main attraction, the great oceanarium, is truly impressive. In my eyes, better entertainment and learning than "The Blue Planet" in Kbh.
We have been here for the third time, and it is always an experience. Constantly there is something new to discover, because here the operators constantly come up with something new and implement it, it does not matter if it is for the visitors and their children or for the animals. There is much to discover, much to learn about the nature and wildlife in the ocean. A giant children's playground, newly created with many great things to discover. The seals and the giant aquarium, just great mega! This Ocenarium is always worth a visit! We will be back definitely !!! A little tip on the edge, who is traveling with the Sandormen Traktorbus in Greenen should pick up his tickets well and leave at the box office in the Ocenarium, then the entrance fee instead of DKK 180 only 154 DKK
I love aquariums. The sea life is always amazing to see. But, while the North Sea Oceanarium sea life is quiet spectacular, the overall experience isn't. There are really only seven aquariums, and one of the main attractions is to come see the fish and seals getting fed. The downside is the Ocean View aquarium - where there are loads of spaces to sit as long as you show up min 15 minutes before - but there are loads of parents and their kids who sit in front of the aquarium spoiling the view. There is a diver who goes in aquarium and speaks to the audience, but with all the parents and kids in front you don't see a lot. Also when the diver goes to the bottom of the aquarium, the only way to view anything is two smaller screens on either side of the aquarium. The same happened again with the seal feeding, where there are loads of seating places, but again parents and kids stand in front and block off the view. If you go to the top of the seating area you cannot see a lot. Best spot to view the seal feeding is the seating area from the observation deck just outside the restaurant. While it's quite pricey, it is worth going but get there in time to get the good spots. Staff should also really tell people to get out of the way and also get some bigger screens to view the diver.
Super-duper ! You should definitely plan your vacation! A great excursion for children or adults. The feedings are great. The baby seal in particular is super cute
Don't spend a whole day here, 3 hours is enough ... Nice place, good with information but too expensive compared to how long you can get the time to go here ...
A great place for the whole family. Lots of impressive aquariums, filled with exciting species from the northern seas. The centerpiece is a huge aquarium, where it's possible to see divers feed the fish every day. You'll also find interactive experiences all around the place, a great idea for all ages.
We were there in summer 2017 and winter 2017 and it was absolutely great. The greatest thing is the huge aquarium with the sunfish. In summer there were two and unfortunately only one in winter. But they are so impressive these sunfish. Children can see, learn and be amazed here. There is a canteen where you can also eat. Certain fish can be touched. If we are in North Jutland again we will make a detour there.
Was a nice trip and it was relatively empty which was really relaxing in Corona times. So you could enjoy the stay and look at the pools in peace. If it had been full we would have done something else. We were up there in DK two months earlier, wanted to go to the Oceanarium in bad weather, wanted to get the tickets the evening before, the lady at the cash desk strongly advised me not to visit, or only in good weather, it would be easy too crowded. I was very grateful to her for that. So I was able to enjoy the Oceanarium a little later in peace. Top!
Even if it is touted as the largest aquarium in Northern Europe, it cannot be compared with aquariums in Central Europe. It is certainly big, but so are others. At the entrance you will receive a map of the area which is also recommended to use. It is sometimes very dark and a clear tour to get past all the aquariums cannot be made out. What we really liked is that everything here revolves around the North Sea. It is remarkable how rich in species this sea is. You look in vain for exotic animals. The large pool with the sunfish is very impressive. Even if the entrance fee is incredibly high, a visit is recommended.
