The oceanarium features the wide variety of life in the North Sea. It has a lot of great stuff for kids, including a huge "oceanarium" with regular shows featuring a biologist taking a dive and showing the various species from inside the tank while communicating via radio. Note: the presentations are all in Danish, however the staff speak english and are open for questions 1-on-1 after the shows/presentations.

Very beautiful Ozenarium, huge aquariums with the fish from the North Sea. Many illustrative examples, feeding the fish by a diver, through a tunnel you can go under the seal pool. Admission is also in the frame.

Very nice to do this for a few hours. The Sunfish is really huge. What a beast. Nice to see, also during feeding. Also had a nice coffee here. Because of the renovation, we received vouchers at the checkout. Very neat though!

Very nice large aquarium. Many smaller aquariums with a huge number of interesting fish and other sea creatures. Many explanations and demonstrations. You can spend an educational day here without the boredom for young or old. However, dogs have not been allowed to be brought along for several years. Therefore only 2 stars.

Great with little kids. Most aquariums have no annoying barrier and the children can astonishingly press their nose flat against the glass. And make a great playground outside to pause and romp.

Very nice aquarium. Our children loved it. The outdoor playground in particular was very well received. You can easily spend a day there and still have not seen everything. The food there was also great and the portion almost too big. Gladly again.

Fantastic as always! I have a bunch of 5-6 year olds with and they enjoy it in full terms - and we do adults too! :-) Thank you to Kim & Anders :-)

Great way to spend a day. Impressive large aquarium. The sunfish are huge, just like the saltwater aquarium. A little tip: You can also see the seal feeding from the underwater tunnel, so you can see the underwater action up close. For the little ones there is a lot of information about the sea, sometimes really funny. There is also a petting pool, but the little arm must have been there for a while. A small part will only be open again in a few days, there is currently still intensive renovation. Hence a point deduction.

Lots of things to see and do, fun for kids and adults - it is not huge but there are several hours and more visits so it is to see or read about animals or if you want to play or fish crabs or draw lots of activities

A great aquarium in Hirtshals. There is a huge aquarium in the museum and a large outdoor pool. You can learn a lot about fish, fishing in Norway etc. The highlights were the fish feeding, the seal feeding and the moonfish. For families a great day trip.

A really nice oceanarium. There are a lot of marine animals. The aquariums are very nicely laid out and so are the seals area including the tunnel under the pool. The highlight is the large pool with the sunfish. Very impressive. However, the Oceanarium does not deal critically with the issue of overfishing. Perhaps it is also due to the sponsors that they do not express themselves too critically here. Environmental protection for the preservation of marine life is only marginally discussed. But definitely worth a visit. So only 3 stars.

Huge space, really to recommend. Large aquarium with big tough moonfish the food was very expensive, mtp it cost to get in and out. Was not much of toilets, when almost everyone was locked for maintenance at one time

Experience living space North Sea live. And the moonfish, without words. Who can, he must not miss that, and he should, no need to take a lot of time. Spectacular feeding by a diver in the pool over several floors. Just breathtaking.

The Oceanarium is a must for all sea lovers. Meanwhile, they have 3 lunar / clumpy, fascinating! The funniest was a ray that came to the disc and "climbed" on her. At the top, he simply let himself "fall". He did that at least four times, like a little acrobat. In a word: "Worth seeing!"

We went with a 2 year old and it is a perfect little children's amusement for after an aquarium and a seal feeding we were ready to sleep. It made a big impression with the big fish and the pace was unmanageable

Also worth a trip as a grown man. I would have liked to spend two days there. The show in the "cinema aquarium" was amazing! Generally, there are so many different types of animals and things to see. Everywhere are little great details. Absolute recommendation !!
