Maybe we came on a bad night but I definitely wouldnt go back. The atmosphere made me score it at 3 without it I would give it a one. We came out for a birthday dinner with reservations to only be seated last. We sat at the table a good 5 to 10 mins before anyone greeted the table. The birthday cotton candy that everyone else had we received it at the end of the night. The food was a bit disappointing I had been to Nick and Sam's before but this was my first time at the Maple location. The food was definitely safe but I really felt cheated bc none of the food held to the standard of the price. I had the tiger prawns (were over cooked, dry, with no flavor), broccolini(was my fav of the night), and alfredo spinach(spinach was cooked well but the sauce was watery and definitely was opposite favor from alfredo), crabcakes (safe definitely need a sauce to go with it), calamari (good), brussel sprouts (good), mac and cheese w/ bacon toppings (definitely not good it wasnt even safe/it was bad/velveeta *a safe mac n cheese have them beat). Maybe I had higher expectations bc of the brand but I definitely felt it was one of those I'm paying for the brand and receiving mediocre food/service.

My boyfriend at the time saved his coins to take me here for my Birthday in Nov. And the food was top quality I enjoyed every bite I even had enough left over to enjoy the next day for lunch. I would dine here daily if I could it's that good. The environment was great and so was our waitress.

Never Again!I blame this mostly on over crowding and being under staffed! I came on a Saturday night for a birthday dinner. Waited over an HOUR for our table that we had reservations for made an entire month in advance. The hostess actually told us they "gave our table away" because they didnt realize we were all there, (even though we had told them twice). So of us waited in the over crowded bar/lounge area.
Finally sat at our table in a very over crowded room, where we were constantly being bumped by anyone that walked by. Sat for 30min. Before the bread was brought to the table. So you can imagine how long it took to get the actual meal. Every meal that was ordered was over cooked, from dry steaks and dry chicken to Bland mac and cheese that just taste like plain noodles with bread crumbs. I have s feeling the cooks were just trying to keep up the all the orders and sending out whatever they could.
Although our servers did the best, we could tell they were just way to over worked for the amount of people dining on a Saturday night.
The 1 positive was the desserts. The cake and cotton candy were delicious.!

Overbooking by the staff is not acceptable when you have a reservation and they make you wait over 1 hour. We were not the only people waiting. Staff was very rude and really did not seem to care or be sincere. Would not reccomend.

Has not fail to amaze me! Great service. Wine recommendation was up to par. Food was super. Great taste. Love nick&Sam. Asked for chef special appetizer and he whipped up something amazing! Highly recommended !!!

At first my steak was a little raw for me but they took it back and cooked it a little more. But when they brought it back it was burnt on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. Still tasted excellent but wish it wasn't over seared. Everything else was amazing though!

Most unpleasant dining experience of my life. This is the first review I have ever posted online and it s for a reason. I was there to celebrate my friends anniversary to start, so I was expecting to pay for great quality. Our reservation took an extra hour to be seated. Very loud atmosphere. The staff even apologized for the noise and slow service, so it was not just our table. The group seated next to us were arguing with neighboring tables and using strong profanity. A woman tried to offer her services to a friend of mine. I had to stand in puddles of urine in the bathroom. Although, my steak was delicious, I will never allow a friend/coworker of mine to also experience that type of dining experience.

Used to be my favorite place to dine. Nick and Sam has transform itself from nice restaurant to no dress code, loud music, and smelly environment. From what I observe, they change their style for a different customer base. There is NO social distancing practice here what so ever. Main dining hall is BACK to BACK seating and the bar is completely pack with no empty chairs in between. Honestly, I wonder how they can get away with it since all other high end restaurant in the area like NOBU, EDDIE V, and Capital Grille follow the safety guideline.

Just walked out after waiting 30 minutes for our reservation and there being no indication of any movement. The hostesses were extremely unapologetic and it seemed like people leaving in frustration was a common occurence for them. We were able to call SER and get a table waiting for us. Would recommend Del Friscos for a better fine dining experience. This place use to be a great experience but unfortunately we will not be back.

The food was phenomenal; however, I went with a bachelor party (5 individuals) and we were seated an hour and ten minutes after our reservation. There were so many people waiting that there was barely any standing room. People waiting were crowded around tables, practically standing on top of those trying to enjoy their dinner. For such a high-end and costly establishment, this type of expierence is unacceptable. There are other steak houses that have their act together and offer a similar menu. Don t waste your time/money here. Try Perry s.

The food is great but I feel like the service has dropped off a bit. Also, N&S is always a scene. It s started to feel a bit more like a club than a restaurant. With so many other great options in dallas (NHS, Towne Hearth, Bullion) for a steak, Nick and Sams may have dropped from the top of my list. If you do go, get the center cut ribeye and definitely do not order more than once piece of cake. They are huge!

Nice place for a first date lovely service our server was so nice made sure we were good about every 10-15 minutes he would come and check up on us the only reason I didn t give it a full 5 stars was because of the seating arrangement its just too close it kinda feel awkward in away but over all it was a nice place to go to I wouldn t go back again just because i like to eat at different places and hopefully will catch a winer

For all the hype that I received about this place,...

For all the hype that I received about this place, I found it missing the mark on some things, while parts were pretty remarkable.

1. We made reservations for 8pm 8pm a Saturday night but didn't get seated for nearly 40 minutes. Could have been worse, but their waitroom bar and buffet somewhat made up for it.

2. Their washroom buffet serves chips and salsa, as well as unlimited caviar! This was one of the better parts of my experience there.

3. Our appetizers were pretty decent. The Foie Gras was delicious and fatty. Their garbage salad was a bit heavy on the ranch dressing.

4. The overall wait time for our appetizer to our entree also took much longer than we expected. From the time we sat down til we recorded our entree was another 35 minutes. Granted the restaurant was packed, so I can understand the delay.

4. Our entree was the porterhouse, and we ordered one servinf for 2 people. Overall it was really good, however, the meat was slightly more rare than our requested medium rare. We'd ask to have it taken back but we were starving at this point, so we settled with our order. (Sorry, the lighting was bad in the restaurant so we didn't take pictures of the steak)

5. The service was amazing, when they attended to. Again, restaurant was extremely busy and we were overlooked sometimes. However, when they noticed us, they were very accommodating. They also give a very informative sample demonstration of the meats that they have there. Very interesting!

All in all, great experience, with a little room for improvement for next time. Will be visiting another time when I visit Dallas again!

The service is absolutely amazing. Our guide was Chad and that man knows what he's doing. Only server I've ever had the pleasure of coming in contact with that not only knew his steaks,whiskeys but could align his recommendations with his clients wants flawlessly. I will be back because of him alone.

Now, the food.
We started with a old fashioned (Templeton rye as suggested by chad) and a peach old fashion. Delicious
We were given icelandic caviar and toastpoints as a free appetizer. Again amazing.
We then ordered the roasted portobello.
While we enjoyed that Chad brought out a plethora of steak cuts and seafood royalty fit for any king and discussed out entree choices.
I chose the tomahawk and my lady chose the center cut ribeye both medium rare with the suggested char. The best steak I have ever had.
We also accompanied that with duck mac. Try it, trust me, you're welcome.

The staff took notice that wa had stopped eating and retrieved our plates only to return with them bagged up and ready to go home.

We stayed for desert. Had smore's baked alaska and coffee. During this Mike came over and asked about our experience. Im telling you, the level of detail is outstanding.

I am a successful broker in the city and will be bringing clients here regularly now to impress them.

Very under-whelming experience. We were celebrating some birthdays with some friends and really looking forward to an awesome evening. Got there and had to open the door to the restaurant ourselves (valet? hostess?). Once inside there were 5 staff members that did not greet us with any enthusiasm. Got to our table and had a waiter that had a bit of an attitude? The food was amazing (as expected) I just was very surprised at the level of client service we received. I expect so much more when I am paying these prices for a meal and because of this, I felt obligated to post a review.

I had a reservation for 7 for my partners birthday...

I had a reservation for 7 for my partners birthday. We get there and they put all of us at a small table. I asked are there bigger tables so that we can eat comfortably. Eventually they moved us, BUT to a longer table that was still for 6. Our waiter was very cool and nice. Wasted my partners drink but he was cool lol. The food is great but I don t know if I ll go again!

Worse experience !!! our reservation was 8:30 pm we didn t get seated until 9:20 pm .The host Sylvia was very rude when I tried to ask when we going to get seated .I asked for The manager but he didn t come .We will never go back we order fillet but we got ribeye than my husband had to wait until he get the right order it s horrible experience for a nice restaurant and I blame the manager!!

Came here with my friend for her birthday dinner. It had a bar when you first enter with hip hop music blasting. That was cool but when we were seated in the dining area there was a pianist in the corner, which was super classy, but I could still hear the hip hop playing. Maybe they should separate the two a little better. I'm not from Dallas so maybe this is normal but I thought it was different. Anyways, I enjoyed the food. Everything we had was delicious. The brussel sprouts did have a honey mustard in them which I didnt care for. I still give 5 stars.

Far more classier restaurants in Dallas with better food quality. Establishment was overrun with classless escorts (by 9pm on Thursday). Not a favorable experience for a professional business dinner.

The best steak (filet) I've ever had.
The service was good too.
The bathroom smelled very clean.
Parking was effortless.
Atmosphere was electric.
The live piano player was a nice touch.
The bar was eye catching.
Fortunately, the dress code did not cover breasts--THANK GOD.
As soon as I rob a bank, I'll be back.
My friend's birthday was a great success for all eight of us. Thanks a million.

Expensive but a fun steakhouse to celebrate something. It's a younger vibe, kind of like Town Hearth. The cocktail bar has club vibe and a decent menu. The old fashioned was perfect and the Oaxaca was good but could have used a stronger mezcal. The steaks are awesome and they also have a huge list of waygu beef. Lobster Mac & Cheese is good but nothing overly special. Currently they have Dallas Restaurant Week but you need to request the menu. It is $49/person and the menu is on their website. I got a half roll of sushi, 8oz filet, potatoes & brussel sprouts, and a small piece (compared to their normal desserts) of bread pudding. It was good but nothing special compared to their regular menu.

After visiting Dallas for a few days with a group of friends, we decided to enjoy some good steak at Nick and Sam s. The food was good, however the environment was horrible. The people were really loud, our table was dirty, some people were cursing one another. I will be spending my money somewhere else next time in town.

Best steakhouse I have ever been to. They have wonderful drinks. A wonderful selection of wines. The steaks are all fantastic, but the wagu selection is a mind blowing experience. It's a pricey place, but definitely worth it. The service is the best you can get in the US.

We LOVE Nick and Sam's! Tonight we celebrated my wife's birthday. Alex was very attentive and his recommendations we're spot on!
District manager Bryan Knoy made sure everything was perfect bringing additional side plate servings and desserts to really make my wife feel special.
We we're also entertaining the CEO and his wife of a major corporation from DC, and he mentioned how impressed he was with the food and service. Well done!

Nick and Sam s is obviously the best of the best. It s the place where athletes and Dallas most influential people eat. I would say their food is a 10 and their service is out of this world. It s the place to eat especially on the weekend. Book your reservation way in advance or you will not be able to get a table. The best seating is in the bar area.

Came here for dinner with a buddy of mine and we were seated right away, 20 min earlier than our reservation time. When we sat down, we were greeted by our server who was quite enthusiastic. We were delighted by the comfortable low-lit atmosphere. I got the 16 oz. Ribeye with creamed corn. The creamed corn was average, I've had better sweeter styles before. The steak was juicy, but maybe too fatty. I understand a Ribeye has fat, but this whole steak was covered in it and I don't think I had but 8 oz. of actual meat. Nonetheless the flavor was good and it was cooked to my liking. I see customer service is huge here and I was satisfied. I'd come back again, but this time I'll try a different steak.

Every single thing about this place was 5 star. The ambiance is relaxing. The decor is beyond beautiful. The staff are welcoming. A.J. was the sweetest waitress I've ever came across. I've never seen waitresses more detailed than any at any other restaurant ever. We were very pleased with every part of our experience there.

The quality of food was outstanding, as the service. It was too loud, we had to constantly raise our voices to be able to make conversation. There was a small incident with a lady trying to be "annoying" (maybe she thinks she was charming) on purpose with one of our friends, it is not the restaurant's fault, nevertheless, didn't help to make our evening enjoyable.

Great service by staff, overpriced average tasting food.

Sear on steak was burnt, crusty, and charcoal tasting. Medium well was cooked perfectly however I just take issue with the sear. Tasted like I was eating 6 months of previous steak crust built up on the cast iron over time infiltrating the sear which made the texture pretty crusty.

Had to pay extra just for sides? Why does an expensive steak not come with sides already? Sides were half order but a it was still a mountain of food. Way too much. The sides were pretty average in flourish and taste. Nothing was bold or exciting.

Normally I would not be so critical of the food but considering the prices of the restaurant I believe it deserves extreme criticism of the quality.

This was a wonderful dining experience. The entire staff was very welcoming and friendly. The food was delightfully prepared.
My girlfriend and I over did it some. We had the Spanish Octopus, Chicken Fried Quail, a filet, the Cowboy Ribeye, creamed corn, au gratin potatoes, and Damn Good Fries. Oh and an amazing cheese cake for desert.
This wont be our last time at Nick and Sam's.

Service was rushed and perfunctory; it kind of spoiled the experience for us. However, the food was excellent, and the porterhouse immaculately prepared. Chocolate cake could have been a bit more moist, but that's purely personal opinion.

I called to make the reservations for my husband s 40th Birthday for Dec 15th at 6pm and had some of his family fly in from New York and I really wanted this to be a special dinner for him. I explained to the young lady I spoke with 2 weeks in advance when making the reservations to please notate I would like the 7 layer chocolate cake to be brought out for my husband s desert as a surprise. Unfortunately there was no cake brought out no Happy Birthday to you sir nothing. I did not want to make a scene of it with all of the surrounding tables so I let it be. I even called that Friday to verify our reservations since we were all coming from out of town and also she verified the special cake request as well. I am not sure why the ball was dropped but I was very disappointed.

Another issue was one of our family members ordered an extra plate of broccolini and when the waiter brought it out he gave it to another couple and we were charged for it.

Truely outstanding customer service! From the valet to the host, to your server...I know this is a reflection of sound management/ownership in hiring and training folks who know hospitality.
Did I mention the steak options from various parts of Japan other than the home grown variety? Truely impressive! ...this being said by a pescatarian (/vegetarian leaning person) who stopped eating steaks 10+ years ago! For someone who knows their steak (which is not me), this has to be a place to get your steak on...if for no other reason than how kobe beef is flown-in from clear across the other side of this planet!
As great steak restaurants go, the exterior of this location is rather modest (...ok, I'll say it, unimpressive building with low ceiling heights and very dim lighting inside), but I was here on a week night, and the place was busting at the seams with folks who already know about this place.
If you enjoy steak, this has to be the steak restaurant go to place.

It was delicious, however our server was rushing us through the entire meal. When you go to such a nice place, and are paying that kind of money you don't want to feel like they are just trying to get you out. He even brought the dessert tray when we were in the middle of our meal. Would have been a great experience otherwise.
