Nice, big & clean airport. I like it & it was my go-to when traveling anywhere. It was very convenient for me when I lived in NJ.

Refurb, clean, decent food, frequent airport shuttle.

Had a cancelled last flight out of Newark. I was happy to see a Marriott property close by as a elite member of this chain.

Awesome experience. Immigration was so kind and passage to my hotel, Marriott, was smooth. Certainly one of the best airports in the world .

A better location at Newark Airport and you would enjoy life inside the Terminals. Agreat hotel with all the expected amenities, including a very soothing fireplace. Staff, food, drinks, guest rooms and meeting rooms are extraordinary. Minutes from the Terminals and very affordable.

Second time here at this place. Wish they had more things to do with kids. Would love to have a refrigerator. Requested since October for medical reasons. Food service was great the staff was excellent very helpful. Love sitting by the fireplace in the lobby. Rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Terrible. The rooms extremely noisy, the worst service i have ever had in a restaurant/bar, slow, rude and incompetent. I will never stay in this hotel again even less recommend it. If you get stranded at the airport better save your money and stay at the terminal, that bad this hell hole is.

Conveniently located in Newark Liberty airport. However, despite it is so close to the airport terminal, still you need to wait for a shuttle bus to take you to the hotel. I wish they had an underground tram same as Marriott of Houston George Bush. Anyway the hotel location is very convenient and is very comfortable as you would expect in any Marriott Hotel.

Hotel was great but getting in and out was complicated due to the proximity to the airport and construction

This was an amazing stay! We had a delayed flight out of Chicago and and ended up having to travel all night. I reached out to the staff and Nici was a tremendous help and made my very tired family feel some of the Christmas spirit during our long travel days. Thank you for showing what the Marriott experience truly is.

The Newark airport Marriott hotel is a nice hotel with good size rooms that look recently renovated. The bathrooms are tiny, but due to the good layout that surprisingly isn't a big deal. The hotel has a club lounge on the tenth floor with breakfast in the morning and snacks and drinks at night, although alcoholic beverages are not complimentary. The downside of this airport hotel is that you cannot walk to the terminal, and have to take a shuttle. Luckily the shuttle only takes a few minutes and runs at regular intervals. Overall a good option to stay overnight before an early flight, or after a late arrival.

Very quiet! Convenient to airport, great gym, no hotel store but otherwise very standard Marriott with quiet windows.

To me it really wasn't bad as the reviews. We needed a place to stay one night so we could get to the airport on time. Went down to Ted's Restaurant and Bar in really enjoyed it. Rooms need some updating. Bed was very comfortable to sleep in in front desk could be a little more friendly

Fairly typical airport hotel. Clean but rooms are cramped. Ok for a single night stay and need convenience to the airport, but even though it is immediately adjacent to the terminal you still have to take a shuttle bus as it is not connected via any walkway, so you don't save much time compared to other nearby hotels that are less expensive. I was disappointed as a Platinum member having been given an "upgrade" to a King Suite to find it was still a standard (eg small) room with a single sink and miniature "closet" ( more like a cubby hole). Ok for single business traveler but not for 2 people.

Event went by without any issues, they did a great job with keeping the bar and dinner lines flowing.

Tricky spot to locate if you are driving to EWR, very nice entrance and restaurant/lounge space, average event space. Staff was friendly and very helpful in accomodating. Wifi signal needs improvement.

This is not my favorite airport to travel through NY/NJ port authority please upgrade the systems and facilities make it better it s gateway to USA

Same menu for lunch and dinner. No pool or hot tub.

Convenient for airport overnight, walkable from all terminals go through parking garage there is a connecting sky bridge. Modern well maintained property

Outstanding place to stay and you can get room service if you don't want to order out or go get food.

Haven't stayed here before. Its really well appointed inside. Service was world class. Super polite staff. The restaurant is offering what I consider a limited menu, but the soup and main course were excellent. Will stay here again.

Very nice and clean hotel! Staff was extremely helpful! We did notice a lot of "professional women" if you catch my drift but they appeared very high class and well maintained. Still noticeable and only appeared with men and had no luggage with them. If you can mind your own business and ignore that then you'll be just fine. The hotel itself was very beautiful with excellent customer service. Rooms were very clean, good size spacing, and beds were very comfortable!

Definitely the cleanest Marriott property. Everything smells like UV light clean.

Rooms are small and bath room even smaller, no pool. Food was just fair. Shuttle was timely and the driver was helpful.

Clean and super convenient when faced with an overnight layover at Newark airport. Hoyel restaurant is o erpruced as expected but food was pretty good.

On their webpage they offer a same day check in and check out (between 07:00am and 07:00pm). All you need to do is to call them directly to take advantage... depending on availability. I landed in the very early morning at EWR airport and so I decided to walk over and ask them personally at the reception. I wanted to stay until 04:00 pm, because my connecting flight was departing shortly after 06:00pm. The woman said she has to ask her manager, but he/she was not in the hotel at 07:30am. She wanted to make me a regular reservation and promised to ask later for me, if I could get a spicial rate for a couple of hours. I agreed. The full amount was pre-preauthorized on my card. At check out (04:00pm) the woman finished her work for the day already and two other women were at the reception. They didn t know about my request and I guess nobody asked their management about this issue. I only was told, that a special rate is given on availability. I stayed in this Marriott hotel in June 20, during the covid-19 problem. In my opinion they never ever were fully booked and I only could see a few other guests during my stay. So the full rate was charged to me! I call this a rip-off and an involuntarily compensation due to loss of the past few weeks. They couldn t even hand out a bill/invoice to me, as this, according to them, will be sent automatically on the following day. After I left the hotel towards the terminals I received via email a guest folio addressed to United with a ridiculous sparse amount of $5. I don t hope that this is the company rate for them, but what I basically wanted to say is, that they re unreliable with data privacy of other guests! Nevertheless after my arrival back in Europe I received the proper bill for a whole night in their hotel. My experience in this accommodation demonstrates their unprofessionalism. I never ever would stay in this windy and non-serious flophouse again!!! Not even complimentary!

Customer service 90%, location 100%, Cleanness 80%, I would expect more from a fairly expensive hotel. Stayed there for convenience 2 times because EWR airport hotels absolutely SUCK! They are dirty, bad customer service, horrible food. This is probably the best you will find there!

Terrible and dirty hotel. I don t understand the good reviews at all! Although the reception staff was very friendly and helpful.

Here for a conference. Location can be tricky to get to if arriving here by car. Staff is very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Facilities are contemporary and functional. Rooms are of an average size. The access to the WiFi on smartphone is tricky. Overall a pleasant experience.

Attended a wedding with outside catering, everything was set up beautifully. The grand ballroom fit 300 people spaciously. Rooms blocked out for the event were updated and modern. Great experience!

I wont be back. The airport shuttle took 45 minutes to come. They blamed traffic, but then it took five minutes only to get to the hotel? When I arrived, there were 15 people in line to check in and one person behind one of the counters. Another came after 5 minutes. When I went to check out they told me they had already charged a portion of the room to the card on file, because I wanted to pay with a different card. That's never happened when I used the Marriott app in the past. Overall terrible experience.

Didn t stay overnight here but it s the most expensive, pretentious option in the area looking at the rates nearby, yet the environment fails to be welcoming. Weird dynamic in the food staff unconcealed reprimanding and odd vibe. Food is mediocre and overpriced.

I laid back in the lobby to look up at the skylight out the window on the ceiling while I waited for my uber and a woman told me to sit up??? As someone who s stayed at luxury resorts and 5 star hotels alike, this place tried way too hard to appear upscale. Nice places will not tell you what to do unless you re causing a legitimate problem. You re an airport hotel in New Jersey, chill. Your businessmen clientele won t have their experienced ruined if they see a woman relaxing in your lobby.

Save your money and get the same hotel experience elsewhere. Only benefit was the free WiFi...

No fridge, lame snacks, horribly ancient bed and a shower that almost pierces your skin and leaves a swamp on the floor of the bathroom.

Great room, modern and top notch. Clean and comfortable, which is whats most important. Food was below par and expensive. Parking costs $28.

Prime location to stay before or after a flight. Big hotel with nice amenities. Shuttle, food, conference rooms everything your would expect. The downside, why do they charge for parking? $40.00. Too expensive. On the positive side the hotel rate was cheaper then staying outside the airport.

When I was exiting the parking lot today, the traffic was just horrible because of God knows what happened to the systems when I had to pay to exit. The lines were so long, I ended up paying 3 times the amount instead of just $8. They are just messing us up. That is theft

Elevators aren't great and hotel keys lose their charge easily, but the rooms are nice

I have requested an invoice for my reservation several times and they simply DO NOT respond to emails.

If it is a business trip I DO NOT recommend it. Nefarious customer service.

I would suggest staying in any of the other nearby airport hotels besides the EWR Marriott; this hotel is a disaster.

- Close to airport.
- Clean

Cons
- Parking costs an additional $28/day and is not included in your reservation. The keycard system does not work, so it is time consuming to get your car in and out. It's not clear that this is the case if you book through a third party website.
- Wifi is not free unless you are part of the Marriott loyalty program and book directly through them. So if you're traveling for work, expect to pay an extra $6/day for WiFi.
- The walls are paper thin. So when the people next door to me got up for their 4 AM flight, I got to wake up as well. It's an airport hotel, so of course people are going to be in and out at unusual times: shouldn't the walls be somewhat soundproof?
- The hotel shampoo/conditioner/body wash is in giant, communal containers that appear stay in the room from one guest to another. During COVID (or any time really, I guess) this seems really gross.
- There is an onsite restaurant (room service during COVID) with rather expensive food (like $20 burgers). There were no alcoholic beverages being served. Some of the other restaurants that I have ordered delivery from that are near the airport will not deliver here because of its location.

This place could be really great, but unfortunately, it seems like Marriott is out to charge you for every little thing. $28/day parking is almost the same price as leaving your car at the EWR short-term lot for 24 hours and $6/day WiFi seems like a scam in an era when this is a standard amenity. Maybe they take better care of you if you are a frequent Marriott guest, but I would suggest the nearby Hilton, DoubleTree, Courtyard, Holiday Inn, or Renaissance all of which are cheaper and have fewer hidden costs.

Great service and food. Marriott personal have been helpful and friendly. Room is clean, well furnished and quiet. It was an excellent stay.

Nice room. Not with king bed as ordered. In addition, neither WiFi in the room nor breakfast was included in the price. In return, there was free WiFi in the quite delicious lobby and the restaurant in the hotel was excellent. The location is top notch to the airport and with free, frequent shuttle service.

Its OK here, the traffic to/from the airport esp. 287 both ways is nightmare level. If it comes to an in city airport or here, pick here JFK is awful and the traffic in/out is the worst anywhere in NYC. If you can, go to Philadelphia intl. It is 10x cleaner and nicer inside, the location and travel is easy to access.

Huge fan of Marriott. The Newark staff are great. Very good restaurant and bar. Not a big fan of the king bed room with sofa and table. I prefer a desk and chair along with a comfortable chair for watching tv.

Room is decent but toilet is small. Frequent shuttle to the airport terminal. A Simon outlet mall only 10min away by car.

The hotel was great. The room was pretty awesome. I will definitely stay again.

Oh my God. 7 hour layover in this God forsaken place.. no where to stretch out and sleep. Being stuck here on Christmas Eve and no where to go. Who designed this place, prison comfort designers? Fail.
