Choice New York are the acting property managers of the Dime Residences in Williamsburg and their services have been nothing short of exceptional.

The building is well maintained and services provided are professional. Events hosted by the building are inclusive and aimed to create a sense of community and have all received positive feedback from the tenants. In addition, issues raised are ack d quickly by the principals and resolved in a timely manner. Would highly recommend Choice New York.

We live in a condo building in Brooklyn. Unfortunately, Choice was selected by the sponsor to manage the building, and their performance in summary is so negligent and derelict to the extent of being criminal.

First of all, they hired a building manager who does not know how to write or speak proper English. This manager stopped answering phone calls or returning emails after a couple of months, and there was no one we could turn to when there was a problem with the building. To be clear, even when the manager did respond to calls/emails, he did not take any actions (or was prevented by taking actions) to solve the problems. Choice's principal Adam Lichtenstein failed to own any responsibility and lied to the face of the unit owners directly. The owners reported a door locking problem immediately after being aware of it, but Choice did nothing, which omission resulted in thousands of dollars of property being stolen. And they had the face to say "we did nothing wrong!"

Second, Choice did not provide any tools to the building staff to work with and did not want to pay the super for his hours worked on a snow day to clear the pavement in front of the building. These criminals deserve to have their real estate license and other business licenses revoked. Worst of all, they refused to show us the books and records of the building, so we have no way of knowing if our funds have been misused or misappropriated (chance is, they probably are).

And, I'm not blackmailing - I wish I could, but you know, once the money is in Choice's mouth, you are not going to get any single penny out of it. I also wish you could respond to customers' complaints and concerns as quickly as you respond to Google reviews.

Choice NY took over the management on my building in Hoboken in November of 2020. Other than a letter under the door there was no communication at all on any changes in the building. Where we previously had email communication and an app for reserving amenities and requesting service, Choice offered no alternatives and no instruction on how to do these things going forward. My account was wrong and they were overcharging me the wrong rent, I emailed and was ignored for months before getting a response telling me I was wrong. I finally had to figure out where their mistake was made and only after multiple phone calls and wasting my time, did they address the overcharge. My lease was signed with promotional pricing and in when my lease term was almost up I was sent a new lease with full pricing and no other communication. In this market there were a million specials going on in other buildings but nothing was offered in the new proposed lease agreement, it actually went up by $200 from what I was already paying. It was only after I declined the new lease that they offered a promotion but it was vague and simply not competing with the rest of the market. I gave more than 60 days notice and confirmed my move out date, but the rep for the building said she couldn't do that day so we scheduled for the next day. I arrived for the appointment and she never showed up so I sent a video showing the state of the apartment upon my move out. I followed up 5 times with no response on getting my security deposit back. Still trying to get someone to give me an answer as I moved out over a month ago. Horrible communication, complete and utter disrespect for my time and money. If I was running this company I would be completely embarrassed.

Update: Immediately after posting this review I was contacted and my security deposit was returned within a week. Vera was very helpful and followed up to make sure I received it.

Choice has been the property manager for our building in lic for five years and we are impressed with how they have handled the various requests that have been thrown their way. Our tenants have been pleased for the most part and we haven't had any issues that are too abnormal for nyc. Their team pot together a comprehensive asset management plan that covered all the bases. The minimized cost, trained competent staffers, and dealt with tenants in the most professional of manners.

The Dime Choice New York Property Management team are as professional as they come! My move-in experience was easy and smooth - Drew emailed me well before my move-in date to make sure I was well informed and had everything I needed. The team communicated with me every step of the way so that I was never unsure of what was left to do. Furthermore, Drew even called me during my move-in date to make sure all went well. This is a MAJOR difference compared to any other property management team I ve interacted with while living in NYC!!

Been living at the Dime Williamsburg for few months now. Drew and his team has been awesome. I don't think you can get a more responsive building management then Drew and crew. Very professional. Fixed all my issues. Highly highly recommended for building management!!!

Have you ever tried to call this place? None of their phone numbers work. Want your deposit back in a timely manner? Forget about it. Do yourself a solid and choose a different company that is transparent and where there are actual people sitting behind a desk. This place is a complete sham.

I've been a tenant for almost 7 months and I wish I could rate 0 stars. Currently, my apartment has not had heat for over 5 days. My steam pipe had a "slow leak" which I guess is also terms for "even slower repair". Plumber arrived hours late, and the super was not on premise (like usual) to make the wall repairs afterward. I was told to keep the damaged, wet, and moldy baseboards to be used again (NOT HAPPENING). I called the super right after the plumber left to let him know that I would not appreciate re-using moldly baseboards and to please call me back to schedule a time to seal the wall. Radio silence. When I finally got in contact with the management company 5 days later (they also notoriously don't answer calls and shockingly their emergency phone line is not operating) after being ignored by the super, I was given no apology or explanation. Instead, I was told to wait for another call. Currently there is still a gaping hole in my wall and my radiator is not functional. To live without heat for 5 days during the coldest week of the year is shameful. NEVER USE CHOICE NY MANAGEMENT.

The building I used to live in Brooklyn is no longer managed by the group that I leased with. So when it came to asking for my security deposit back, I was told Choice New York is managing the building and I should reach out to them. I have contacted them for the last 3 weeks over email and have not received a single reply. Don't even bother calling them since somehow every one is "busy on their phones". I am still waiting on a my security deposit and hopefully this review will have someone contact me directly.

UPDATE - Just after writing this review I received an email from one of their representative explaining me the mix up with the adjustment of which group was managing the building. This time they were responsive and made sure I received my security deposit back. The process overall took a while from my initial email, however I can see Choice New York Management is trying to improve on their customer service and just needed a nudge in right direction.

Drew and team were extremely helpful throughout my signing and move in process. They were available at any time for questions and to walk me through any move in nuances or challenges day of and in the days leading up to my move in.
