Choice NY took over the management on my building ...

Choice NY took over the management on my building in Hoboken in November of 2020. Other than a letter under the door there was no communication at all on any changes in the building. Where we previously had email communication and an app for reserving amenities and requesting service, Choice offered no alternatives and no instruction on how to do these things going forward. My account was wrong and they were overcharging me the wrong rent, I emailed and was ignored for months before getting a response telling me I was wrong. I finally had to figure out where their mistake was made and only after multiple phone calls and wasting my time, did they address the overcharge. My lease was signed with promotional pricing and in when my lease term was almost up I was sent a new lease with full pricing and no other communication. In this market there were a million specials going on in other buildings but nothing was offered in the new proposed lease agreement, it actually went up by $200 from what I was already paying. It was only after I declined the new lease that they offered a promotion but it was vague and simply not competing with the rest of the market. I gave more than 60 days notice and confirmed my move out date, but the rep for the building said she couldn't do that day so we scheduled for the next day. I arrived for the appointment and she never showed up so I sent a video showing the state of the apartment upon my move out. I followed up 5 times with no response on getting my security deposit back. Still trying to get someone to give me an answer as I moved out over a month ago. Horrible communication, complete and utter disrespect for my time and money. If I was running this company I would be completely embarrassed.

Update: Immediately after posting this review I was contacted and my security deposit was returned within a week. Vera was very helpful and followed up to make sure I received it.
