I've been a tenant for almost 7 months and I wish I could rate 0 stars. Currently, my apartment has not had heat for over 5 days. My steam pipe had a "slow leak" which I guess is also terms for "even slower repair". Plumber arrived hours late, and the super was not on premise (like usual) to make the wall repairs afterward. I was told to keep the damaged, wet, and moldy baseboards to be used again (NOT HAPPENING). I called the super right after the plumber left to let him know that I would not appreciate re-using moldly baseboards and to please call me back to schedule a time to seal the wall. Radio silence. When I finally got in contact with the management company 5 days later (they also notoriously don't answer calls and shockingly their emergency phone line is not operating) after being ignored by the super, I was given no apology or explanation. Instead, I was told to wait for another call. Currently there is still a gaping hole in my wall and my radiator is not functional. To live without heat for 5 days during the coldest week of the year is shameful. NEVER USE CHOICE NY MANAGEMENT.
