I have been going to this practice for a few years...

I have been going to this practice for a few years and had been very pleased. However, the service now is terrible. I ordered glasses and contacts. I have had to call numerous times to get the status on my contacts. This office does not believe in customer service. When I call, no one knows anything. They tell me they have to call the manufacturer for an update. Then I have to call again to get the information. Then when I don't hear from the office on the date I had been told my contacts would be ready, I have to call the office again. Then they tell me the contacts are on back order and it will take another month. By the way, my eye appt was in September, and my contacts won't be ready till the middle of November. I understand that the office has no control over the manufacturer's delay, but they definitely have control over their customer service. The staff is rude, dismissive, and annoyed when you call. After spending over $1000, I expect to be informed of the status of my order and any delays. They should reach out to the customer, instead of expecting the customer to reach out to them. That is how it used to be. I will never use their services again. It's time for me to find a new doctor.

My family and I have been going to New England Eye...

My family and I have been going to New England Eye for many years. It seems like ever since they moved to their new location the vibe there has changed.Today I had the worse experience, the employee that greeted me was extremely rude and condescending. Not welcoming!! She treated me the same way at my last appointment. I excused it the last time thinking maybe she s just having a bad day. I walked out of there upset and I didn t proceed with my appointment. I called to speak to manager left and message and she never called me back. It s disappointing to know that they don t care about their patients anymore. Needless to say my family and I will take our business elsewhere.

New England Eye Care has been nothing but a cut above the rest. They have treated my family and I with the most professionalism. I have ordered 4 pairs of glasses from them as well as a years worth of contacts. Megan Tyler has been such a large help to us and especially me. You can tell she loves her job and loves to get the right glasses for you. Whether your budget is $200 or $800 I promise you'll find the right fit for you. Ask for Megan and you wont be disappointed.

The Doctor and reception staff were great, but the rest of the staff up front was very rude. And it was more than just one person. In my history as a google guide I have left many, many positive reviews; in fact this is only my second 1 Star rating but this place actually deserves less!

My first visit to New England Eye was great I appreciated the help I received it was prompt and I was not hassled or pressured they r also following COVID-19 protocols very well.

The office was very clean huge selection of frames. Doctor and tech were kind & the exam was vry informative. I m looking forward to my nxt visit when I pick up my glasses & return for contacts.

Thank you New England Eye Care! Youve got a new client for life!

Never have a bad experience here. Have been seeing Doctors here for a while now. They have a huge selection of glasses are very reasonable prices. Staff is VERY attentive and are very honest and knowledgeable. I never feel rushed or pressured. They are very upfront and have all your information together for when you walk through the door. They have the best service of any doctors office I go to; kinda makes you wish you didn t have to see them just once a year. If you re a looking for a great doctor with equally great staff, than New England Eye Care is your place.

I will recommend them to all my friends and family who aren t already patients there.

Less than one star. Worst staff ever. They told me they took my insurance then at the end of the exam told me they didnt and charged me full service and blamed it on having new staff. Never going back.

My family use this office more than 10 years now, it was ok , but since they combined two office and relocated to Manchester, the service is getting BAD!!!! I guess they "need money "to build new big office building ,it is awful now, they starting over charging patient like a scam, service is poor too, doctors only spend less than 10 mins to exam you then Kick you out soon as they can ! the worse thing is they claim/codes to your insurance for something that they did not performed, so they can get extra money ... They will tell you need to copay or deducible the same day of service, otherwise you will be charged for $10 late fee!
This office is ridiculous now, sad to see they don't care about patient but try all they can to charge you more money, specially the office manager Christine she is such a angry rude person and had very nasty altitude, the visits was a nightmare .
If you go to them make sure you understand what they going do to you so you don't get over charge for something they didn't do at all , also make sure you don't pay ahead time to them before you knew the bill is correct , otherwise you will not get your over paid money back at all!!

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THEM AGAIN !! BE aware!!

This place first and last time thanks to the girls...

This place first and last time thanks to the girls in the front. Been waiting on my glasses for over 2 weeks. I have called multiple times and no one returns returns calls back to the point where I had to go personally suffering From headaches needing my glasses and no cared enough to call back to find out they didn t even have my glasses. Then she had a whole attitude because I said it only takes 2 minutes to return a call back to a patient. Very poor customer services and the girl in the reception desk just made our decision very easy for us we will take our business else where where they actually Care about their patients and take the time to call patients back and not have an attitude towards the patient it s too bad the doctors are
Great but their receptionists suck.

The optometrists and medical staff are excellent. I had an amazing experience when I visited as did my wife with Dr. Sturgis. The reception staff is absolutely horrid. We came back to shop for my wife s glasses and were the only clients. We were told we could browse and someone would be right with us. 30 minutes later and still no one while 2-3 receptionists chatted. I watched another client come in who was having an issue and while they repaired his glasses he was given a snobby attitude. Finally fed up with waiting my wife asked for her prescription so we could actually purchase glasses elsewhere other than just browse. Her prescription was printed and handed to her silently. Maybe an apology for the wait would have been appropriate? An explanation? If we were told it would have been over 30 minutes wait we could have run another errand and came back but we weren t even extended that courtesy. My wife ended up having a question about her prescription as they are confusing. The response was that is what the doctor put . Gee thanks. After a bit of questioning we finally were able to understand why that number is what it is but with it came some serious attitude. If you just need to get your eyes checked definitely go see Dr Sturgis but I absolutely would get my prescription after the appointment and shop elsewhere.

Dr. Sturgis and Dr. Stephanie are great! They are both so nice and provide very thorough exams. Kristy and Megan in the optical are very helpful with picking out glasses and helped me pick the 2 pairs that looked best on me! The whole staff and the environment of the office is very welcoming. Anyone looking for a great eye exam/pair of glasses should go there!

I have been here multiple times. Very nice and friendly staff. Huge and great selection of glasses. Very kind and understanding. I went in with a sensitive issue and the staff and the Dr were fantastic. I would recommend this business to anyone and will continue to go to them for any eye needs.

I had a great experience at New England Eyecare in Manchester. Super clean, neat, and modern environment. Prompt service. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Lots of staff - technicians to get you ready for the doctor, someone to help with insurance specific questions, someone to train me on using contacts, someone for scheduling and billing - really nice. Dr. Stephanie Sturgis was great - super nice, informative, honest, interested, and caring. I ordered a 6 month supply of contacts at a reasonable price and they were available the next day. Huge selection of glasses and sunglasses. I'm very impressed and will continue going here even though it's a bit out of my way. It's worth it.

My daughter has been going to New England Eye Care...

My daughter has been going to New England Eye Care for a couple of years and they've always done a great job with her. Today I woke up with an issue with my eye. I tried calling my eye doctor but got no response so I figured I'd try New England Eye Care to see if they could help me out even though I'm not a patient. They were extremely nice on the phone and said they could see me right away. Even in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic they were willing to take me on as a brand new patient and have the doctor see me on the same day. I should also mention that today is a Saturday, and I've never had an easy time getting weekend appointments with any other doctor. Everyone in the office was friendly and polite, Dr. Motto was great and took care of my eye problem. New England Eye Care truly exceeded my expectations today and I will happily be switching from my old doctor to Dr. Motto for my annual exams going forward.

My girlfriend hates going to any type of doctor. After her appointment here she said to me "I really liked that doctor." I nearly tripped when I heard it. She said the doctor explained everything she was doing, why and what it meant. So, I'm happy she's found a doctor she can trust and hopefully I can get her to see doctors more frequently.

This is a company to avoid. They will not deliver ...

This is a company to avoid. They will not deliver your purchased items on time. They will not communicate to you that there is a delay. They will not return phone calls. Until you inform them that you wish to cancel your late and undelivered order. At which point they will not reply to your emails, but will harassingly keep calling to tell you that your order miraculously is ready much sooner than the delay was supposed to be. But they will not refund your massively late and cancelled order. In fact, they will not even acknowledge that you made that request. This is a very poor establishment. When i first walked in, they wanted all my insurance info before even seeing if they carried any frames I was interested in. They eventually relented and allowed me to look. I should have honestly just walked out then. I implore any Manchester residents to find another optician other than New England Eyecare. They are not customer focused in the least. And since they have not refunded my money, I have had to dispute the transaction with my bank. Which I had informed them prior to doing, and after. And instead of doing the right thing and issuing my refund, they still won't. This Sturgis family is either completely oblivious to good customer service, or fully complicit in treating paying customers like they're worthless. Just stay away.

Very friendly staff. Megan did a great job helping us pick out the right eyeglass frames for our prescription. The office is very clean bright vibrant and modern. They have an amazing assortment of eyeglasses. We went to two other eye vision centers but couldn t find a pair of frames we liked. The service was here was very pleasant and excellent! I give it a 5 star rating. The receipt even showed the breakdown of costs. Excellent place to buy glasses.

Excellent service, thorough explanations of exams and results, never pushy to buy products, friendly staff and excellent selection of frames. Fantastic facility. Neat, clean and well laid out. NE Eyecare is not the cheapest place for glasses you will find, but they are worth every penny to get the excellent service they provide. They stand behind every product with a strong warranty and no questions asked. Perfect!

Tried to enter the store at 3:43p to just shop the frames and was told I could not come in because the store closed at 4p. I explained I didn t need any service and just wanted to look around. Still, no. I turned to leave as the woman behind me was allowed in for service (picking up an order). Not cool. Maybe the store hours sign should ve read closes at 3:43p on Saturdays? Or maybe I had to be a white woman to be granted access? - I surely didn t look the type. Not sure, but needless to say, I wont EVER be back.

This place is extremely disappointing. I made an appointment and the person I spoke with suggested to come the next morning (Sat morning). I drive the 35 minutes up and when I get there, the receptionist politely tells me that they didn't get a chance to call my insurance to verify my coverage so I can reschedule. I drove up on my Sat morning for nothing! I WILL NOT BE RETURNING to this company.

I love walking into this practice, its always well organized, and nicely decorated! Every time I walk in I get treated with the most respect, the staff and doctors are amazing! I have been going to this practice for 10+ years and never had an issue.

My daughter had a contact fitting. There was inaccurate political propoganda framed on the wall of the exam room that was highly inappropiate. As a person that works in the medical field who is also affected by political change, this was offensive. I was told that by buying contacts there, there would be a warranty which would not be honored if I purchased elsewhere, which is just not true.
Other than the fact the scheduling was easy and they had courteous front staff, I cannot think of any reason to ever go back.

First time visiting NE Eyecare. Signage on door requires patrons to call ahead to schedule an appointment - this requirement not mentioned on their website. The receptionist stated that appointments were available next week but none on the day of my visit - the sales floor was absent of patrons at the time. Not a fan nor a future customer.

Friendly staff and personal service! I wasn't going to buy a set of lenses, but they helped me understand my insurance options and realize that my insurance would cover most of the cost so I ended up with a pair of prescription sunglasses. I am a new mom and they let me nurse my son in their break room. I arrived 10 minutes late and so the beginning of my appointment felt rushed, but that was my own fault. Would definitely recommend this office!

I had my annual eye exam today and I ve been coming to New England eye care since I was a kid... I love Dr. Sturgis as I saw her dad growing up but the staff that they have had for the past couple of years rotating through is awful. I wish that the staff matched the doctor because then it would be a great office. I was there for almost 2 hours for a simple annual eye exam and sat waiting in different areas of the office for most of that time. Highly disappointing when you waited without complaining even once and still get attitude from a few people at the end of the visit. This review isn t regarding the doctors care as she is highly knowledgeable and very friendly but something needs to be done with the rest of the staff from the people that help you with glasses to the receptionists. Awful. Coming from someone who has been a dental receptionist for 12 years... this is quite unacceptable...

I drive a semi truck OTR and lost my glasses... BIG problem. Called, explained the situation, and they worked me in for an eye exam within the hour. Office was clean, modern, and offered a wide selection. Staff was friendly and professional. Technician and doctor were knowledgeable, competent, thorough, and explained the procedures and results of the exam at every step. I don't have vision insurance and so, paid $306 for the exam and contact fitting, with a follow up exam to be scheduled soon. (Plus a couple trial pairs of contacts). I think the quality of the care given was well worth the money, and would recommend New England Eyecare to anyone.

Is not very often that you find such an enthusiastic and passionate doctor who seems very eager and totally dedicated to her profession. Been to this place twice and have been very impressed by the services. The dr. cares about her patients you can tell she is not in it for the money but because she enjoys what she doing it. Will highly recommend this place. Very knowledgeable and thorough .

My experience with New England Eyecare is the best I have ever had. My optometrist and his assistant were very thorough and very nice. Megan in the optical department is THE BEST! She helped me pick out awesome frames and lenses. She was also there when I picked them up. Thanks to her expertise, they are the first pair of glasses in 20+ years that I put on and they needed no adjusting whatsoever. They fit like they were custom made for me and are so comfortable. I highly recommend New England Eye Care, especially Megan.
