Saw the tomb of Christ and the Titanic exhibits. Both were very interesting. Tomb of Christ has a lot of virtual reality aspects which allow you to move around and see various aspects. Titanic has a lot of interesting history along with recreations of parts of the ship and its compartments, etc plus recovered artifacts. Both were very interesting and worth seeing. Tomb of Christ cost about $20 but Titanic was free

Well done Tomb of Christ exhibit. Technology was great to see and have explained. I personally would have liked more technical details, but I m an engineer. General museum also very good. Only negative is a lack of seating. Need someplace to rest weary bones.

Good museum, but small, especially if they don't have both rotating exhibits open. The permanent exhibit is very small, so if there is only one rotating exhibit open, they should definitely have discounted admission.

One of the most beautiful exhibitions. Admission price is $ 15 for adults. Each time they have the story of Menisa. I saw the story of Titanic and its drowning. Lovely museum. I would recommend it

I didn't hate the National Geographic Museum, but I didn't love it either. What bumped it up from two to three stars was that their "Peruvian Gold" exhibit was really pretty awesome, albeit not very extensive at all. The artifacts on display were so interesting, and they were displayed in a great way -- just wish there had been more to see. And, I was not at all impressed by the other two exhibits -- "Mars Up Close" and then various photographs located around the exterior of the building. Although seeing a full scale model of the Curiosity rover was kind of neat, everything else was not that engaging. (For instance, the photos didn't even really have captions for context.) Given the steep admission fee ($11 for adults), I would not go back again.

When I went here, I saw the Tomb of Christ and the Titanic exhibits. The Tomb of Christ exhibit, which cost about $20, was very entertaining, with interesting videos with the rooms dressed up as the actual church where the Tomb of Christ, a 3D immersive tour, and VR headsets where you got to "tour" the Tomb of Christ area. It was fascinating, although the 3D thing was disorienting and each part of the exhibit mostly repeated the same things that had been mentioned in the earlier parts. All in all, this was a 5 star exhibit.

The Titanic exhibit, though the history was fascinating to me, it was not presented in a way as interesting as the Tomb of Christ was. It was mostly just plastic boards on the wall with paragraphs of information, the occasional model or something, and the occasional short movie. It was also really long and detailed, and I would not take young kids on this exhibit, because they have a high chance of being bored out of their minds. All in all, the Titanic part, while interesting, was not an impressive exhibit; it was just decent.

It has great exhibits and a great 3D exhibit. The exhibits change around and the only downside not enough seating on occasion. But still a nice experience if you do not want to go to the Smithsonian

The special Queens of Egypt exhibit was worth the time spent. As good as we've seen in large big-city museums elsewhere. We returned for an evening program, there was something different each night. The speakers were a wonderful addition to a long day.

This November, NatGeo has an interesting (and free) exhibit on elk herd migrations throughout the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho. Cool maps and visual representations of elk migration.

Although the museum is relatively small and requires a fee, if you are interested in Christian history, it is highly recommended. The 3D projection introduction is very exciting, the same as the scene. When you are finished, you have to try the VR. It is also an unforgettable choice.

We visited the museum with our 9yo specifically for the Queens of Egypt exhibit. WOW, what a fantastic exhibit. While the lighting leaves something to be desired, the item descriptions were in your shadow every time, the artifacts and historic narrative are top notch. We learned so much! We stayed for almost 4 hours and didn't even make it to the main, permanent exhibits

The staff was friendly and accommodating allowing us to enter and leave as needed for lunch, car moves, etc.... Well worth your time and money.

Very disappointing...the featured Ancient Greek Artifacts exhibit was nice but that's all you were able to see at the "museum". The building and grounds are very large so we were expecting to see more about NG and all the great stories they've done over the decades but they're not on display. Spent admission to view featured artifacts in a small area. Save your money and skip it.

We LOVED this museum! Our visit was during the Queens of Africa exhibit, which was crazy interesting. I loved the 3D tour through a Queen's tomb, and all the interactive pieces towards the end of the exhibit. Honestly though, we felt the permanent installation on the history of Nat Geo was more intriguing than the exhibit. I would highly recommend this museum!

Short exhibits that are hit or miss here. Considering there's so many other free museums in DC, you can probably find a better way to spend your time.

I will say, however, that when this place hosts events, they don't mess around! Had a blast at the last Greek event they had, so keep an eye out for Nat Geo events.

Do not pay and just enter directly, the exhibition we pay for opens until half a month and we must return (fortunately we live here). The rest is free and there is not much to see.
We were very disappointed.

We saw the Queens of Egypt exhibit and it was amazing. I strongly recommend visiting it as it has a lot of information and some interactive experiences such as the Senat game. We saw the Queens of Egypt exhibit and it was amazing. A very interesting 3-D film is also showing about mummies. You felt like you were actually there. A great experience for sure.

The museum features changing exhibitions featuring the work of National Geographic explorers, photographers, and scientists. There are also changing exhibits related to natural history, culture, history or society. Permanent exhibits include artifacts like the camera Robert Peary used at the North Pole and pottery that Jacques Cousteau recovered from a shipwreck

One of the best museums in the city, esp if you are looking for something a little lower key and not as much of a time commitment. Check out the live events too because they really get some incredible speakers to tell adventure stories!
