Mullin DeMeo Review

I contracted this lawyer to complete a home buying deal. But the lawyer clearly sided with my mortgage bank rather than taking my interest as topmost priority simply because my mortgage bank agrees to pay the legal fee. Some mortgage terms are obviously at my disadvantage but the lawyer didn't raise the alert. Instead, he did his best to cover it and entice me to sign. Fortunately I caught it myself in the last minute. There are some other sloppiness I found during the transaction. Won't trust the lawyer again.

After leaning of our review, we were contact by John Mullin. He expressed that it was important to him that his clients feel satisfied with the services offered by his firm. We greatly appreciated him reaching out to us to inquire of our concerns. This is the kind of personal touch that makes a good service. As such, I am editing the review to reflect that.

Hum... They were not very responsive to our requests and questions. We had an agreement for a discounted rate that did not materialized.

On one occasion, we had a meeting scheduled... After arriving on time, we waited over half an hour without any explanation. That made me feel like their time was important than our's.

Jesse was recommended to us by our realtor who has been in selling homes in Victoria for over 40 years. We have purchased two properties in the past two years and Jesse walked us through both transactions very professionally. He was very thorough, knowledgeable and very easy to work with. Not only did he help us seal our deals, he educated us along the way and identified any potential issues that we could have come up against. Jesse was always just a phone call away. We will be returning to Mullin DeMeo in the future and I would highly recommend their services to others.

Jesse Mullin from Mullin DeMeo Wirk was wonderful to work with. He was quick to respond to emails and provided all the information needed. The complicated process of buying a home was definitely made easier with Jesse.

Brutal experience with John Mullin. I would not recommend him and would give him 0 stars on here if I could. He did not ensure that joint real estate papers were sent to all parties prior to the appointment for signing. The appointment was hours before keys were passed to the buyers, and for the new home purchase. He did not ask if there had been any sort of discussion about the joint sale, and when we went to resign a new draft, there was zero acknowledgment or eye contact directed toward me. I am unsure as to whether that is due to my being female or because I was the one left in the dark regarding the initial draft/that I sought legal advice of my own as to how the new draft should be drawn up. Zero humanity, grace, class, or personality.

Having said that, I have heard wonderful things about Tej
Wirk at this agency, so I would not put him in the same category as his business partner, based on what some colleagues and friends have experienced with him.

Tej and Celeste were so helpful and responsive in helping my business partner and I incorporate our business and review our lease agreement for a new space. They provided guidance and insight through the whole process in order to protect our interests so that we were not taken advantage of. Cannot recommend them enough for their services.

He handled the division of property and assets with complete confidentiality, integrity and professionalism while being very conscientious about time constraints in our specific situation. Originally had bad customer service experience with admin staff. Jesse followed up and tried hard to fix it. Jesse seems very friendly and reasoning. Looking forward to working with him.

Dealt with Tejpaul :

Held funds for 4 days without any good reason ( I advised them 7 days in advance that the outstanding tax amount situation was discussed and solved with the municipality ) . I had to contact them to make them aware of the their mistake .

A month after the possession date the property still had an outstanding tax amount . Again , I had to contact them and let them know that this matter creates problems for me . They were more than soft in pressing the seller to pay its outstanding taxes .

Four days before the closing we were not informed about the appointment to sign the documents . Again , I had to call them to find out that the appointment was actually booked for the following day . Ops .

Contacted the office after the business hours and the administrative assistant ( Dawn ) reproached me that she is staying late because of my file . I sincerely apologies as a client for that .

We found this law firm when buying our home in Victoria, luckily for us, we met Tejpaul Wirk, and he has helped us a couple of times since. Dealing with him has been an absolute pleasure and very reassuring on each occasion. He always took the time to help us and we are very grateful. Mr. Wirk is truly a fantastic person; he is professional, knowledgeable, caring and even has a sense of humour! We have never received this level of service in the past and highly recommend him.

I have worked with this law firm for two home purchases, one home sale and two real estate transfers in Victoria, BC. Every single time I felt they went above and beyond for me. I know when I email Deborah a question or concern it will be taken care of right away. She has completely earned my trust and respect!

My husband and I had the most frantic turn of events from our mortgage lenders but Tejpaul Wirk was so helpful throughout our scenario. When our realtors and mortgage broker left us hanging in the purgatory of the unknown, Tej came forward and was always kind, clear and extremely helpful. If you're buying land this is the place to go. Very knowledgeable staff. Parking is a bit of a pain but doable.
