So disappointed in this florist! I used them for a number of arrangements in 2015 without issue. Then I tried to order a nice funeral spray for my uncle's burial and it was nothing but problems. Order placed online on Monday morning; phone calls from the florist on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday trying to get me to change the delivery date and agree to different colors than the choice I made online. Finally called less than 24 hours before the delivery was due at the cemetery to tell me the flowers didn't open enough to do the arrangement but they had no suggestions about what other arrangement could be done with the flowers they had on hand. After I cancelled my order, they still charged my credit card. Taking my business to another florist in Bakersfield for the future!

When I walked in to order, they were very friendly and had great customer service. When I called over the phone however, they were very unhelpful. I don t know a lot about flowers and was seeking help to select an arrangement and they weren t helpful with selecting flowers, colors, or arrangements. Also limited selection. I called All Seasons florist and had the exact opposite experience. I didn t have to give flower names, I just asked for a general color and they said they got it covered.

Just went by and it is a hive of industry there as they get ready for Valentine's day

I have ordered flowers for Mother's Day from Mt. Vernon Florist several times after moving out of Bakersfield, as they're right down the street from where my mom lives. Always had a great experience, though this year was particularly exceptional. On Saturday, they called and left a very apologetic message that they would not be able to deliver the bouquet I'd ordered. I called them back and it turned out the vases they had ordered for the Mother's Day rush were cracked and they were unable to fulfill the order because of that, BUT, would gladly swap out the vase and make the bouquet bigger as I had already paid. I said that was more than fine.

The bouquet they delivered to my mom was beautiful and gigantic, definitely not what I was expecting - it was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for always looking out for your customers!

I ve ordered flowers twice from Mt Vernon florist and have been impressed with their customer service and the quality of the flowers both times. I ve had bad experiences with the big online flower sites with flowers arriving too late and even on the wrong day. My. Vernon got the flowers where they needed to be on time and called to confirm details after speaking to the funeral home. I won t order from anyone else when I need flowers in Bakersfield and the surrounding area.

Called asking for delivery, they sed call back after one and I am calling back and they don't pick up the phone no more...

My husband has given me flowers from this flower shop for over 6 yrs and I wasn't 100% satisfied this time because some of the flowers were already falling apart when I received them. This is the first time the flowers were not as beautiful as the other times.

Wonderful!! I can't tell you how thankful I am with the service I got. Being out of state, I needed a last minute delivery for a sad situation. The lady that answered the call was very kind and helpful. Then the delivery driver, who was suppose to be done with her days work, went up and beyond her duty. While most places would have just left the delivery to the next day, as I was expecting it to be delivered then. The drive was told about my order and jumped into action, delivering them right away! Making her day that much longer, when she didn't have to.
Thank you delivery person!! For going above your job duties and helping during such a difficult time, with such a simple gesture as delivering flowers, to my sister who is so far away from me and I am unable to hug her myself! You my friend are simply amazing!!!

I recommend thinking twice about choosing this florist if customer service is important. Their flowers were beautifully arranged but service and management is lacking.

I chose this florist based on their reviews and close proximity to the funeral service for my grandmother. I was sorry in the end and wanted to share my experience to assist others in similar situations. My brother and I were unable to attend as we live far away and due to illness so we wanted to honor our grandmother by ordering flowers for her funeral service. I called and ordered the arrangement 4 days in advance and specified that it needed to be at the church by 9am. The flowers were not delivered until 10:20am after the service was already in progress. They were beautiful I am told, so it is a shame. They were wasted as they did not arrive in time despite the fact that the service was less than 5 miles from the florist.
Instead of thinking fondly of my grandmother during her memorial time I spent the morning on the phone attempting vainly to track down the flowers. This was a disappointing experience. When I explained this to their representative, I was told the owner would contact me during the week. I was not contacted and upon calling, the owner explained to me that the flowers were not delivered because "the funeral director would not let them in to deliver them." This is understandable given they arrived 20 minutes after the service started and 1 hour 20 minutes past my requested delivery time.
I expected quality customer service but was given 50% off of flowers that didn't even arrive for the service. To me, this is a paltry gesture and I would not choose this florist for any future orders nor recommend them to my friends or family.

Called around 1:30 to ask for information and asking about delivery and they said they cannot deliver no more for today, that s not even the problem but the attitude of the girl was really bad, never buying flowers here.

We used this place for our wedding. Very helpful staff. Owners worked with us and made sue we understood everything and made sure we chose what we wanted. Very satisfied.

This florist created and quickly delivered a lovely arrangement for me. It looked just like the image on their website and the process was seamless.

I have purchased flowers from this establishment two times within the past two months, both experiences were lack luster. The first time the flowers arrived and looked nothing like the advertised picture. I decided to give them another try, the second time the flowers arrived in a state of disarray, they looked very disheveled. The employees at the facility where they were delivered witnessed the delivery person picking up individual flowers off of the ground as they fell out while walking into the facility. People are ordering flowers for occasions that are very important to them, the attention should be in the details. Needless to say I will no longer patronize this establishment.

I bought my wife some white roses bouquet for her birthday and got them delivered to her job and she totally fell in love with them thank you so much for the good work keep it up

The floral designers make the GREATEST arrangements for any occasion.

I ordered flowers for Mother s Day online w a third party eflorist. I went with a third party because they already had the relationships with the local florist.

I m located in Pennsylvania and not familiar with Bakersfield.

At first Mt Vernon called and said they could not take on the delivery as it was too far.
I explained that I used this third party site and I have no idea how far anything is in relation to their shop.

The manager heard my frustrations and said I want to make you happy, we will handle this for you.

I went from frustrated to extremely grateful. This is the type of customer service you only hope for.

Thank you for this and I will from now on call MT Vernon Florist directly anytime I want to send flowers to my mom.

The people really helpful. They made a blanket of flowers to go over the casket of my mother's funeral. It was beautiful.

I have used Mt.Vernon florist for the past 10 years they are by far the best in town! My beach wedding flowers were stunning the attention to detail was out of this world! I highly recommend them for all of your floral needs. Awesome staff and beautiful arrangements.

Ordered an arrangement for a friend and it was delivered within a few hours. Very satisfied with their services. Will definitely be ordering from them again. Beautiful arrangement and was better than what was online.

Good flowers, convenient options to add stuff like a card, a plush toy, stuff like that, all on the web. Also great to find a local business that does delivery on short notice. One small hiccup with my experience: their website didn't stop me from placing an order at an invalid time. They had to call me and tell me they couldn't deliver it when I asked.. but it was very easy to reschedule and they accommodated.

Not alot of selection, better if you have time and call in an order
