Tulate County Health should have jumped on these nursing homes immediately when Covid-19 hit to protect these vulnerable people. I called yesterday to voice my concerns and got the run around with trying to speak to
Director of CDC there Karen Aught. Gave
Up after 40 minutes, no one knew her number.
Redwood NH has been an issue for years. The state and Tulare County Health have allowed it to operate and in doing so have resulted in lives lost, virus
spread by workers, and loss to the overall economy.
I think this should be viewed as criminal negligance and state and county workers should lose their jobs and be prosecuted for their involvement. We pay these government workers to protect the community and they have failed us.

I believe I'm a chartered individual in a health district. Im also a high functioning autistic individual who decompensates under stress and without access or knowing how to access a county expert in adults with high functioning autism. If there has been one, i may have missed them. My autism doesnt help me learn those kinds of things. In fact, the longer i wait under high stress and witjout knowing who is helping me or how i can help them facilitate my health, the less i'm able to keep up and go on doing my part. Im smart but not on those issues. I cant navigate paperwork or red tape. Those things are impossible for people with my kind of autism. Therefore, since im in county health care, who can i turn to when im feeling held back or if nobody will talk to me, or in a way i understand them? Time causes decompensation for me. Past that, im worried about homelessness and maybe suicide. Who is there for me to turn to? If theres an expert on adults with high functioning autism in the county system, PLEASE HELP ME. Im at a loss for how to find or achieve health for my specific symptoms. I dont want to decompensate and i dont know how to help myself or anyone else from this point. Im afraid for my life. Ive been going through hell for nearly 2 years with no leads that make clear sense on how i can progress.

Please feel free to contact me directly if youre a Tulare county health employee. Thanks in advance.

The state and federal government needs to help thi...

The state and federal government needs to help this county's medical and social service institutions. Period. This county can't be expected to bear responsibility for who limits their capacity to serve us. This is a low income county with high risk demographics that includes children, seniors, native Americans, and veterans who wouldn't be as ill as they are if the connected health and social services agencies had access to resources, information, leads and everything else they deserve to assist them in c lii waning up the aftermath of economic pilots who trash the county and throw their bills on everyone's collective heads.
Does the county have to file bankruptcy to get help or wot? It would be a shame for the 5th wealthiest economy in the world, with the highest concentration of new billionaires, to neglect the county who sells them affordable organic foods at farmers markets in both the north and south ends of our state.

Please help every way you're able. If our lives are risky here and the county isn't privy to helpful life, money, and time saving information for the lower income demographics, the bills go up in the SF bay area, Orange County, and everywhere else the millionaires clubs pay insurances and investments. That's just how it measures out. California is, for all intents and purposes, 1 home. If the least individual fails, the wealthiest fail with them. It costs a comparatively small amount to guarantee the prosperity of the state.
I'd suggest Tulane county health and human services reach out and tell the state they've FAILED. The county is, ultimately...disabled. As a disabled county, they shouldn't have to try so hard to receive help in advance of any additional effort they'd be taxing themselves and the lowest income county residents for.

Disgusting! The immense lack of coordination here ...

Disgusting! The immense lack of coordination here is ENDLESS! This agency is especially tied in with resources for SSI disability, homeless agencies and the like. Yet, I'm disabled, my family are all disabled, low income, several children and 2 senior citizens who are over the age of 72, and tho we've asked for resources, help, they don't know what to do. Now, we're ALL homeless and packed into a tiny 2 bedroom, camping in the yard next to a toxic freeway, begging for where to find help and they can't MANAGE to put together ANY leads!
So, what CAN they do? Act smug. That's the bulk of their capacity.
I'm so disabled I can barely walk, im 45 and will be in a wheelchair soon, and im the best the family has! But NOBODY at this agency knows a way to assist. Neither me, my disabled or elderly family, nor ANY of the 10 kids get ANY kind of question as to how were going to afford heat for the kids, much less avoid the men's shelter where there are so many sex predators we hate to take the kids there, even to eat.
SHAME!
Useless, lazy, uninformed campers on our resources. That's what they treat us all like, despite the DECADES of volunteer service our family has given to agencies like Foodlink, and Proyecto Campesino, who have helped (or were helping) WAY more.
We can't access medical care, so we have to turn to people we know who once were lisenced caregivers, and they say were all "Lucky" .
Good for YOU, TCHHS, who spend your time hobnobbing about the rural areas while ignoring the destitution were going through in this area.
Avoid this place and it's connected agencies. They are FAILING Tulare county's MOST vulnerable to assist the more able.
