The people working in reception are very kind, and the nurse I see is nice and cares, but the billing department here needs improvement. I've tried contacting them for 3 1/2 hours to see if my procedure will be covered by insurance but no one is picking up. I spoke with people working in the lab and with reception and they couldn't give me the codes my insurance was asking for. As a patient you have to know if your insurance covers your procedure, but that is impossible when they don't know what you're talking about.

Finally someone in reception called the lab department for me and got the codes (even though I had already spoken to them and asked for them which they didn't provide). THREE AND A HALF HOURS on the phone to just get the information. I'm grateful that reception finally called someone for me and got it, but it took way too long. Please improve your practices.

I went in with upper right pain in my side. Was sent home after begging for at least an x-ray that he said I didn't need. Low back strain was what he said. I left still crying in severe pain. Ended up back in by ambulance and finally given a cat scan. I was told I needed my gallbladder out but the surgeon on call said to send me home. Again left in excruciating pain. Ended up in Sparrow with emergency surgery. I called to talk to someone at Eaton Rapids about this and of course got the someone will be contacting you. Nothing yet 4 months later.
Unfortunately I had to go back recently and the same Dr listened to my lungs and called it bronchitis and sent me home. No test no x-ray. He was in and out in 5 second's. So had to go to family Dr to get the med I needed to be on for prertussis like I told him I had before. Save yourself and go to a real hospital!

Let me be the first to voice my opion on this back woods half ass hospital.!!!! When my roomate experienced sudden bleeding under the skin on his right biscep n sudden strong shooting pain through his arm n bruising starting to appear. This is what we dealt with from Dr.Brent Felton, well why are you hear? Why didn't you do anything at home? Well you've been here 7 times this year..A) 5 of which is for bouts of pleurisy in which he has had 3 collapsed lungs n had his lung fused to his chest wall..so yes when pleurisy acts up we're going to get checked out to make sure it didn't collapse again...the other 2 he has degenerate disk disease ok n has 5 buldging DISK in his back n when we go to the hospital cuz he's crying in pain. Then to go in today with petika showing up n get treated like he's just some drug addict...excuse me u insulting quak go back to school n learn to be a real Dr I will never allow my family to ever be insulted by that worthless Dr or hlf ass medical team again.

I have tried to contact Heather Schragg several times (6 times to be exact) over a 2 month period regarding a billing dispute. I received a voicemail from her back on 11/16 while I was at work and have tried 4 more times since then to make contact and I have to leave messages. With no return call. I have also left a message with Jessica her assistant with no return call. We were told by the doctor when seen that we needed to leave to go to the primary doctor and ** we would not be billed for her talking to us ** . Well the insurance got billed and we are now billed for the copay. They will not stand behind the doctors "no bill" comment to us. No service was provided. And we are unable to dispute the bill as we can not get a call back from the Risk Management Director.

They only thing good was the check in staff! The nurse practitioner Kerry in the urgent care is horrible!! I would not recommend her at all. She walked in with a snotty and rude attitude! She was nasty when she asking my son questions. He came in because he hurt his back in basketball. His back was positional pain. It wasn't a constant pain. She grabbed ahold of his foot and pushed it back forcefully! Not even slow and easy! She brought instant tears to his eyes! She didn't even apologize! This boy lifts weights and is pretty tough. He never complains and for her to do that was extremely uncalled for!!!

If i could give a negative star i would because this place Takes way tooooooo long have been here at redicare for 4 hours and have only seen the doctor once which was rude and nurse once noonce checks up on you there is no urgency in this urgent care at all it seems to be way under staffed the receptionist is very rude everyone tries to talk at you instead of with you, it would of been faster to drive across town. I would not reccomend this place to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about the Emergency Room staff. Been in 3 times in the past year and each time I feel more cared for and happy with my experience. My 5 year old has seen many ER/ Urgent Care doctors and she's aware that she's treated better here than anywhere else.. Dr. Jones was amazing and very helpful.. I will choose this place everytime..

But then I got there the lady at the window was very rude and got upset with me because I question the name of my doctor on record that I didn't recognize. I visited the Redicare which apparently is supposed to be similar to an urgent care facility. There was nothing urgent about my visit. I was there for 3 hours with a severe migraine. I was not given the medication I was told I d be given by the provider and her student. The right hand has zero clue what the left hand is doing there. Be extremely cautious of using this facility. People were very empathetic and friendly just a little inept for a medical facility.

Great facility for surgery, friendly clean. Poor, fraudulent billing. I was assured surgery was covered, received an auth from ins, confirmation from the surgeons office (he was covered), confirmed with facilty when scheduling as well as ck in.. Everything was in order and to be covered. WRONG!! They are only a "tier 2" facility. Meaning everything was not covered. I am now left holding a large balance that when called on several times was assured that I would receive paperwk to appeal wit them. Not only have I not seen the paperwk I am now being threatened with collections. I feel this is fraudulent and not very fair as I was assured multiple times I was approved. Still waiting to hear from the "vice president" but not holding my breath. Too bad they were not as great with billing as they are with surgery.

Ive been coming here for a couple years now and I'm very happy with my care. I was hospitalized 2 yrs ago for a few days and the dr who was taking care of me was Dr. Hersey. She was very nice and took really care of me. I felt so comfortable with her I had her sign on as my primary dr. She stayed right on top of health issues and referred me to a specialist who continued with my care. In October of last year I learned I was pregnant and I suffered a early on miscarriage. She was my rock during that time, I was miserable. We talked about a plan and referred me to an awesome OB office. Since than I have had another baby and I couldn't be happier!! I highly recommend Dr. Hersey!!

Scary place, scary doctors. 2 surgeries had to be redone elsewhere due to mistakes. Misdiagnosed the last time I was seen in 2015. If you don't have to go here then don't. And no I will not contact you. I complained in 2015 and it fell on deaf ears.

When I first walked in, I was greeted by a friendly staff member and she signed me in.

I only waited a few minutes and got my information coordinated with a friendly lady to get lab work done. She sent me on my way and gave me directions.

When I got to the lab, I was greeted by a phlebotomist (young female) and she told me it'd be a few minutes. I gave her my paperwork and my lab vile. She visibly became very frustrated at something and I could tell it was from my paperwork. She started shuffling through it and basically announcing to everyone what I was getting done. I was thrown off so I asked her, and now the other staff members, what was wrong. She / they asked if I was there for such and such a test, and I confirmed. I sat back down and when I got called up, she announced very specifically what I was there for, and the guests next to me could definitely hear her.

This has to be a clear HIPAA violation and at the very least, very, very unprofessional and embarrassing. Why would they not call me up there with vague phrasing? I'm hoping to never use the Eaton Rapids lab services again.

It's worth mentioning that the phlebotomist that did the blood drawing did very well.

It's clear that the young staff needs to be trained on professionalism, as health information is highly confidential.

I absolutely love Dr. Hershey and the staff at ERMC Family Practice. Very friendly, and always professional. Dr. Hershey is the only Dr. I've seen who doesn't make me feel rushed. Who listens, and makes me feel so comfortable. Which is truly hard to find nowadays.

The care at Eaton Rapids Medical Center (ER) was fine, however the billing was excessive. I went in for a minor but painful chemical burn in the eyes. I received a couple of eye drops and the Dr. looked at my eyes through a device to confirm the issue. This short and simple visit, with eye drops that provided me only 15 minutes or less of relief and I was not able to take any home with me, cost over $1000 out of pocket. A lot of that cost was the eye drops themselves which I don't understand since I received about 4 drops total for the short visit. I had to pay because I put it off past the point of arguing the charges, but my family will not use this facility ever again.

This was my first visit to the medical center, my wife was the patient. The friendliness of the staff was off the chart. Some pun intended. The surgery staff from sign in, to prep, to surgery (Dr. Kenyon ), to post op was fantastic. If I ever need medical attention, I hope I have the choice to pick Eaton Rapids Medical Center.

I refuse to go to HGB in Charlotte anymore. Misdiagnosed my children time after time after time. I've heard great thing's about this place. I decided to try last night with my son. Great friendly staff. Very speedy. We were in and out in a very timely manor. My son was being extremely difficult (he's asd and non verbal) for xrays. What should have taken 2 minutes, was at least a half hour of trying to get my son comfortable and to stay still. The xray tech was simply amazing! He was so patient and tried everything to calm my son. We have never been treated with such respect by any medical personnel as this xray tech did. We will be returning with any other medical issues that we have in the future. Thank you for a great experience!

My husband and I have been going to ERMC for over a year now. We absolutely love Family Practice and RediCare. We've never had a bad experience and they've always been very honest and forthcoming with us. We drive almost 40 minutes one way to see Dr. Kahlon, she's well worth the drive!!

2 years ago my wife had a severe intestinal pain and they sent her home after completely ignoring her input and suggesting she may be drug seeking. She had a blockage the size of a fist that required a months hospitolization and surgery at sparrow.

We come back with the same issues, with what we know is a permanent condition, and while this time they are at least not saying (at least near us) that she is a drug seeker, they give her meds she knows full well to be ineffective even after she specifically says so. So once again she has been discharged with basically no assistance of any kind.

A hospital that ignores its patients input is a worthless hospital. We will NEVER be coming here again!

Every time I have gone to this redi care if I do not know have the diagnosis myself(not a doctor or a nurse) They order things that are not nessecary and then tell me I need to go some where else because "they cant do that". I will NEVER return there again! I have talked to the head of the hospital who has been no help either. Done with Eaton Rapids Medical PERIOD. Switching doctors, EVERTHING! I will take my family somewhere where they actually try to help patients not make money off them and ship them out, only after they keep you for 3 hours!

Dr Fernander himself was decent enough, but his office staff was constantly mixing things up. He was frustrated with them as well. In the year that I was seeing him, I don t think they ever got a prescription called in correctly to the Meijer pharmacy. Labs were occasionally not called in, requiring me to reset my appointments. Finally the last time I wasn t listed on lab, I contacted doctor office again to have them straighten it out, only to find I was canceled as a patient because I had supposedly missed 3 appointments. They don t notify you of appointments made months ahead of time, nor did they notify me that I was canceled as a patient, which at least makes them consistently Inept.

The person pretending to be a Dr today(Brown) sent me to get a CAT scan? Put a needle in my arm and pumped me full of Deloitte?! $$$$$ WTH? No monitoring either. SMH
What if I had a reaction to the meds? Nobody would know.. this place is obviously not the place to go. 15 min procedure! I've been here two hours and still not any further along then I was when I walked in. I asked if they could readjust the cathitor in my arm because it was hurting 40min ago! Still nothing

I have recently acquired medical insurance for the first time in 8 years. I finally was able to go to the doctor with some relief that it would not cost me a small fortune. I am also new to the Eaton Rapids area within the last year.
I called to schedule an appointment at the Family Practice and Redicare within Eaton Rapids Medical Center on a Monday Afternoon. As a new patient, I expected it would be sometime before I could get an appointment. When I called, I had to speak to someone via the New Patient phone line. I was quickly met with a voicemail that instructed to provide contact information, a brief description of my need, and I would receive a phone call back in 24 hours. I didn't receive any communication in 3 days. By Thursday afternoon I called the same line again, got the same voicemail. Immediately called again and reached a receptionist, who inventively cannot not process anything with new patients upon initial intake. Jennifer is the only one who could help me at that time and she was not in the office until 11am that day. The receptionist informed me that she would pass along the message and have her call me later that afternoon. By 3:30pm, I still hadn't received a call back, so I called the office for the third time that day. Jennifer has left the office for the day (she was there a total of 4 hours). I explained that Friday I would quite busy and likely would miss a phone if Jennifier calls, however I have been waiting for a week for a 24 hour call back. That is a bit ridiculous! So, on Friday Jennifer calls and luckily i caught the phone call. Jennifer takes my information for intake, and tells me the availabilities, then informs my of their policy. Their policy is to schedule a Meet & Greet with Dr. Hershey only first, then schedule an actual wellness exam. I explained to Jennifer that I understand the purpose of a meet & greet, but asked if I would be charged twice for what I could accomplish in a single visit; yes. Overall, I didn't feel paying almost as much as I would have without insurance for two separate visits I could accomplish in one. I asked for an exception. Jennifer did push back a bit, but made a compromise and I scheduled an appointment. However, she only scheduled me for a 30 minute appt. when I had a laundry list of things to do, however ignored that, but whatever. I put it in the back of my mind.
I was mailed new patient paperwork, which I filled out at home. I had copies of all my medical records and I stopped by the practice the Friday prior to my Monday appointment. The receptionist made copies of my records, insurance card, and driver license. I made sure I did my part as a patient to be prepared for the visit.
My appt. was at 1:15pm, I wasn't taken back until 1:30pm. The medical assistant was great. I gave her my list of things that needed to be done (exam, GYN, rabies titer, TB test, Hepatitis B vaccination).The doctor rolls in at 1:51pm. Dr. Hershey stands over me as I sit in a normal chair about 6 inches from me. I could not stand up to greet her, meanwhile practically eating my elbow just trying to shake her hand. Keep in mind, I am naked under a gown. I am already feeling a bit exposed, and didn't need her in my personal space just yet. Dr. Hershey asks me what was up with the rabies titer. I kind of stuttered a bit because at how dumbfounded I was that she didn't seem to know what that was. I attempted to spit out that I have a pre-exposure rabies vaccine series ( I am a Veterinary Technician) and need to check my levels every 2 years, simultaneously motioning with my hands for her to back up. I am feeling quite uncomfortable at this point.
Dr. Hershey then begins the conversation about the dispute with the intake person. I explained that ultimately I put it in the back of my mind, since a compromise was made. Dr. Hershey say "I don't feel you would be a good fit here" with a huge toothy smile. Condescending much? She denied me care without even bothering to try. She continued to repeat her denial. This practice wastes your time and your money.

My experience with Eaton Rapids Medical Center, Dr. Hershey, and her staff has been an amazing and an unique experience. Not only will they sit down and listen to everything you have to say, they will give directions and referrals to where you need to be on your personal journey to better health. I have had my slew of "bad" doctors in the past, honestly have had some downright scary experiences with doctors. So when the initial meet and greet that Dr. Hershey does with all new patients, I was a bit leary and very attentive to how they would be treating me and the direct needs that I have as a patient and individual. Upon meeting Dr. Hershey and her Physician Assistants not only were they nice, they genuinely care about your personal health. They listen, and give a specific plan per individual that fits only "your" needs. They are quite honestly amazing. It has almost been a year now with Dr. Hershey as my primary, and have given many referrals to friends, even my mother and father. (Whom I might add are the most important people in my life and would only want them to have the best). I have had some bizarre and crazy things happen with my health and Dr Hershey was right there by my side; sometimes even there just to hold my hand after having a hard time with the passing of my grandmother. I could honestly go on and on. To the negative reviews on this site, I just cannot fathom how any of the above could have ever happened. My experiences have just been so amazing. Thank you Dr. Hershey for all that you do, and just want to give my best wishes and much gratitude for helping me gain personal strength and good health.

You cannot make same or next day appointments at the family practice so if you are having an issue you will have to wait a week or more to be seen. The redicare is no help, they just send you to your primary which unfortunately for me is the family practice that has no available appointments for a week. Choose a doctor that keeps openings for patients who need to be seen same day.

I am very happy with the care I get from everyone at ermc staff really care about you and I like my doctor Anne khol she really takes the time to listen and explain everything to you I wont go anywhere else for my care unless I'm referred by ermc even the other doctors are very wonderful I went to urgent care in Eaton Rapids earlier this year because I wasnt feeling any better and urgent care put me on the right antibiotic and took the time to listen thank you again ermc for everything you do for me
