Good food, different theam each day of week. Scenic and historic. A must visit if you are in this area.

1. Quite.. old furniture and interior. 2. Food... is not good 3. View is good.. 4. Hotel mangers and housekeeping is kind and nice. I m sure that I will not use this hotel again. Koreans will be cursed if you come here. Go somewhere else... even staying in the suite, ha... it's stuffy haha haha

Amazing and so beautiful. Highly recommend. Glorious beach, gorgeous hotel/grounds wonderful restaurant overlooking the ocean, as well as plenty reasonably well priced menus inside too. Staff are very friendly.

Governors restaurant buffet is one of the finest buffets in Colombo. A great selection of food that will leave you hopeless. The best service and customer support I've ever seen. And the buffet is really worth the price for a Rs.1900. I highly recommend this place.

One of historical hotels in Sri Lanka since 1805. There are very nice views, rather anyone can see the whole coastal area of Colombo from the balcony of dinning area because this hotel is just besides to Mount Lavinia Hotel. However, the meals are terrible in Governor's Restaurant of this Hotel.

They say old places has a charm, this is usually true but they need to be clean. Here you better take your detail whipper with you as the room and the outlets are not well cleaned and the service is not what you expected. They just monopolize on their name and location and thing they can charge any amount and guest will just take it. Hospitality landscaping is changing in Colombo and their are better location to spend them money and get a better service.

One of the oldest hotels in Sri Lanka with a rich history. A lot of Photo attractions are there. Food is usually less on the spicy side. You can enjoy the beach and sea breeze. No accebility options.

Nice hotel but badly managed but the underpaid staff are pretty friendly and helpful if not super efficient! Trouble is it's full of rich snobs who don't really care about anything except themselves!

We love this place due to the richness of its historic love story of a ruler and a gyppsy girl. They always maintain that value even now. Unfortunately during Christmas season it looks bit bored compared to other hotels when it comes to decorations. They still use very very old decorations which is so so dull. But they have good staff who are helpful but they should be given training on how to work with new technologies and add it to their customer service.

Easy to forgive outdated decor when the setting is so beautiful, the history such a wonderful love story, the food so good (Well catered for coeliac with lots of gluten free options) and the staff so helpful

Highly recommended. It's a heritage hotel but the rooms are considerably clean and modern. The service is incredible, as are the views. It's a bit out from the CBD but we chose to stay in Mount Lavinia area.

When you dine in the evening at the pool side... it's different to get the attention of the service staff. We have to call out loud and it's not very pleasant as it disturb the other guest who are dining too... so please add extra staff.

Very bad food. They respect for the appearance of the guest only. They will be served first. Others last. Not clean. The worst customer service in the town.

A peaceful and wonderful hotel where we enjoyed our stay and conference. Food quality is best but you I can t stop your hands as if you staying one week then at least two kg weight gain due to its tasty food. Rooms are classically good with beautiful view of sea. Sometime at nights sea hits walls of your room and you have to close your ears with pillows like me.

One of the best tourist hotels in Sri Lanka. The rustic ambience gives a colonial experience to visitors. Only a very few hotwl properties currently has such an atmosphere in the country. Great views and private beach. Food is great.
