Great place to have dinner and entertain your friends

The place smells awful and the security is ridiculous...

A good quite calm place! Always it's a good time to pop in and have a bite! The rooms are quite alright too.The only drawback is they have limited food items for dinner apart from that it's always a great place to stay.

An older hotel just outside the city and on the coast. It desperately needs updating to keep up with all the new hotels that are at this price point. The management seems ineffective and overall quality of experience wasn't spectacular.

A good hotel. It is about 215 year old building. Renovated many times, changed many hands. My room was beach facing. Beach is just 15 meters away. Beautiful view of sea available from room with big glasses.The hotel is also cheaper as compared to India. Do visit it.

They don't allow local guests to enter by tuktuk even in the pouring rain. But tourists are saluted and ushered in tuk tuks. Total racial discrimination.

Beautifully placed right next to the ocean, with a fantastic view from almost every room. The ambience is terrific and the staff are friendly. Yes, there is a pool too. The entire experience is extremely luxurious and enjoyable. Would definately visit again as soon as possible.

The hotel is very average, staff are not interested at all. However, the Seafood Cove restaurant actually served some of the best seafood and fish we had in Sri Lanka. Totally delicious. The service at the restaurant was very professional, attentive and friendly. I wish the hotel lived up to the same standard, and not just focus on groups and weddings. You literally have to do their job, walk up to ask for directions, menus, place an order etc etc. The only thing we were told was where the buffet was, and at what time you can eat Building is lovely, but definitely needs a massive injection of love and cash.

Star hotel located near Mount lavinia Beach. Excellent service by friendly staff. Rooms are very nice . Breakfast, lunch available with variety of choices .Nice view of the beach.Best place to spend time in surroundings. Easy access to Colombo by train or tuk tuk.

This is one of my favorite hotel in Sri Lanka.There is a good food collection and good view. Good environment of this hotel made me feel comfortable.Hotel staff gave us good service.

Amazing hotel with huge rooms, perfect ocean view, ameneties, and above all great staff and hospitality.We were here for the past 12days for a relegious function and throughout the hotel, made sure about our well being during our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful any minute of the day. Highly recommended for a lavish stay and a beautiful ocean view.

Old fashioned/ retro style rooms, it doesn't means not clean could have improvised with slight touch of modern look.

Due to the prevailing tension in the country, it is required that your National ID be left at the guard room and collected on your way out by producing the token. But according to the law no person, institution or authority has the legal right to retain one's ID. It is best if the hotel management seek some other solution for this matter.

Wondeful hotel, very nice sea view and you can see also Colombo port from the pool. Very nice people a working there specially for the breakfast time. Large choise of Sri Lankan specialty.

What a fabulous place, both the rooms and food variety and lobby service were all fantastic. The view from the rooms added to the lovely experience. On the downside, the AC unit in our room wasn't working mostly, even after the technician came to set it right . There seems to be a touch of racism in the attitude of two waitresses in the dining room during breakfast, who were not willing to help get a table or answer queries which they swimmingly did to the guests of different ethnic colour.

The guy at the laundry is very helpful and the service is excellent

One of the best sea views from the terrace, I have ever encountered.

Service was very poor. My Aunt stayed there last week (JuLy 2017), and within the 3 days of stay, they changed her room 3 times. Not at all organised these days. Management should take a look at this problem soon.
