Motor werks Mercedes is definitely the place I would go If I need a Mercedes. When I went there to purchase a brand new car, Sally Taher, Client advisor, narrowed my daunting search down to one car- the GLE. She helped answer many questions and frequently made sure I was happy with my decision. Mike Chiappetta, the Sales manager, was extremely friendly and was very comfortable with me. Mike was not forceful at all and helped me finalize a deal on my new GLE. Overall, the experience at Mercedes was smooth and likable.
We had a very enjoyable experience buying my Mercedes at Motor Werks in Barrington! It began with Sharon who showed me what I was looking for and patiently explained all the options. She was always available for my many questions and texts. Then the sales manager, Mike, walked us through the buying process. He stepped in and helped us through the process. He was knowledgeable, patient, and kind. We finished the process with Ken in Finance. Ken was efficient, knowledgeable, and didn t push us to buy options that we declined. I brought my Mercedes in for the first time 2 weeks ago, I had to bring it again because the check engine light came back on within 1 week of me getting it back, it was fixed within 1 day, Gary took great care of me and made me feel like I was top priority. The service was good and I would give 5 stars but on the way home when I turned on the wipers, the passenger wiper fell off. Now, I did ask not to change the wipers because they should be OK. I can't fault anyone but it was a surprise while driving when I started the wipers. I was luckily near an auto parts store and quickly pulled over to buy a set of ONYX TRONX. Wipers are easy to install and that is why I normally don't want to have the wipers replaced when I go for service. I would like to change the blades when they are not performing. It could be a fluke that a plastic piece that holds the blade happen to break right after leaving but its still a shock when you leave and something simple goes wrong.
I and my husband bought an X5 BMW yesterday from Motor Werks Cadillac of Barrington. This place has a large selection of BMW's new or used, fairly priced. It was from every aspect a wonderful experience. We were assisted by Izabela along with the general manager Rick. We ended up with a great deal and a perfect vehicle for us. Recently leased a BMW X5 40E from this dealership, and tho I love the car, the transaction was a total disappointment from beginning to end. I can give the personnel I dealt with only one star and that is because the 18 year old technician gave me a great overview of the technology of this vehicle. From my sales rep, to his supervisor and finally to my interactions with the general manager, I found them all to be TOTALLY LACKING in customer service qualities and integrity. My guidance would be to drive farther to get the vehicle you want, but don t do business here.
Made my first purchase at Motor Werks, Barrington, IL. I had been introduced to the various Mercedes CPO availabilities. Was subsequently and comfortably walked through the sales process with the very courteous and knowledgeable help of my salesperson Isabella and Mike who is the sales manager. Am very happy with to have had them as the dealership's ambassadors of goodwill.
Had a fine experience at Motor Werks Mercedes of Barrington. Nothing special whatsoever. I love my car and purchased it for a decent price. The financing guy Tony was amazing. He was so kind, and I definitely thought he was the most helpful. HOWEVER, the salesman Chris J. was a lil unprofessional and was not very educated on what he was selling. Overall the experience was okay but I expected so much more from a well known dealership.
This was my first time purchasing a Mercedes. It was a BIG deal for me. Carly was beyond patient. She walked me through everything and made sure my experience was stress free and of a caliber one would expect from Mercedes. Absolutely recommend this dealership!
I am reluctant to say this was one of the worst buying experiences I've encountered in my life. This is coming from a guy who has purchased 6-7 cars in the past two years.
Overall, I have to say this was a horrible buying experience with Motorwerks. Nonetheless, I must say my salesperson Shelly was most helpful. She treated me with respect and coordinated everything for me i.e. help me setup a time to bring the car back and follow up on the license plate bracket.
I may be the minority here with poor buying experience, but this type of service is UNACCEPTABLE. We live in the competitive world, lack of customer service and professionalism should not be tolerated at all.
I would definitely suggest Motor Werks of Barrington. I went to test drive cars one day, then told the salesmen Pete that I was really interested in the Honda CR-V. A few days later I went again and he showed me a 2013 White Honda CR-V, i loved it! I bought the car, picked out some accessories! When i picked up the vehicle it was polished, clean and perfect! My experience is a nightmare!!!! Purchased a $35000 Jeep two and a half months ago and STILL NO TITLE OR PLATES!!!!!!! They ignore calls and continually feed you bs lies. Worst customer service I have EVER experienced! I have filed complaints with the BBB, Federal Trade commission and the IL attorney general. They sold me a vehicle they don't have a title for. They also want me to run on dealer plates. STAY AWAY from these guys!!!
From the time I walked in to service my vehicle until I left I was provided outstanding customer service, and I'm glad that I drove 70 miles to visit this dealership, it was well worth the commute. The service department is outstanding with very professional service advisors and superb technicians. Overall, I would highly recommend this dealership for both service and sales, trust me you won't be disappointed.

Purchased a used 2014 Volkswagen Jetta GLI from here last week, I voiced my concerns over a noise I heard from the vehicle, and at first they were dismissed. After taking it to a nearby VW dealer to inspect, it turned out to be a large repair job (New timing chain, tensioners, etc)
The people here were quick to remedy the situation and as of now my car is in the shop being repaired while I get to enjoy a great loaner Mercedes Benz.
A huge thanks to the service techs, as well as my salesperson, Chris, for being very helpful and friendly when my first real car purchase didn t go as perfectly as it could have.
I would certainly recommend this dealer for a vehicle purchase as their customer service goes well above the threshold I d expect of most dealers.
Their parts department is filled with the rudest people. I asked to buy a black universal undercarriage clip and the parts employee said we don t have them back here, they are only in the shop. Aka spend $200 an hour to have a plastic clip installed. Smh

I had not dealt with Motorwerks since their porter crashed the last new car I bought from them, but when it was time to get my wife her X3, I decided to let MW bid along with 5 other dealers. To my surprise, Irv Robinson contacted me and he was the ONLY salesperson that actually knew what he was talking about. The others all gave me wrong information about the car or Performance Center delivery (that is if they knew of it). Irv earned my trust right away and only strengthened it as the deal progressed over a 2 month period. Not only did he get the sale and at a fair price to both of us, but he made the delivery experience at the Performance Center a pleasure and he helped MW dealership earn back my business after 9 years. Irv is professional, knowledgeable, an expert, and he is extremely reliable, courteous and always followed through on his commitments. I don't know how we could ave done it without him. I recommend him to anyone looking at buying from Motorwerks even if you are not in town. I would trust him through a phone transaction just the same. Thanks Irv and hope to deal with you again.

A big shout out to Ken Betts, who helped me with my car purchase. He is knowledgeable, nice and professional. My buying experience was very nice. The dealership is huge, have multiple high end car locations across the Barrington area. You can get free car wash if you buy from them. I would recommend this place to others. Just make sure you do your research before buying a car, especially on the price. They are not the most competitive, so a little negotiation is needed.

This place is a constant let down. If it isn't there terrible service department it is there ripoff sales department. If you want bad dishonest service, If you want the least for your trade and to pay the most for the new or used car this is the place. On the plus side there is a Starbucks inside that has free coffee. They really need to replace that with a Vaseline dispenser for when they stick it in your rear. That would be more useful.

I had a great service experience with Motor Werks of Barrington. It is not often that you run into Exceptional customers service but on Tuesday September 9, 2014 I drop of my wife X5 off for service not realizing that I was a day earlier for my appointment. BMW service advisor Eric immediately took care of my service needs and provided me with a loaner car since I live in Plainfield which is over an hour away from the dealership. The great service didn t stop there. On Wednesday September 10, 2014 Eric call to inform me that my wife car was ready to pick up and that Motor Werks had an employee that lives in Plainfield. They offer to deliver my wife car to my house and swap loaner vehicle. This was great since I work in downtown Chicago. I normally I leave work at 4:45 PM but as you can imagine on that day everything that could go wrong did go wrong and I didn t leave work until 9:30 PM. I was in contact with Ben who brought my car from Motor Werks and he was graceful and understood my situation. I got home at 10:30 Pm and Ben delivered my wife vehicle as promise with a smile. In this day and age you don t hear of outstanding service like this. I was truly impress and thankful for them going above and beyond their service. I will truly recommend Motor Werks of Barrington to my family and friends as you have won a customer for life.
Great service and great staff. Were super helpful in fixing my C63 AMG and had it done in 2 days. The customer service is great, ask for Gary he is knowledgeable and works with you to get your car fixed in a timely manner.

Bought a car for my son. Vlad the salesperson was great. However, I asked them to replace a tail light before delivery. Figured that was easy enough... They delivered the car without fixing the tail light. If you can't get the little things right - how are you going to deal with the bigger things guys? Did you even service the car before you sold it? Also the map on the navigation worked when I test drove the vehicle. Does not work now. Unreal...
The service department isn't cheap but they do a great job and I never have to wonder if my work was done right. Bob at Mercedes is always professional and takes care of me anytime I need something quick.
On the sales side Salmaan in Porsche is the best, he is so helpful and LOVES cars. He knows about all the brands and can help take care of anything.
I receive great service from Anthony and the service staff. The work was done quickly, I was pleased with how the staff at Motor Werks worked with me and my busy schedule. Everyone was polite & professional. I also purchase my truck at the same location. I have purchase 7 or 8 Cadillac s over the years from different dealers and I have never received the attention and service like I received from Motor Werks Cadillac, Barrington. Keep up the great work.
They tried to rip me off for my service B by charging me $848 before tax. Chicago downtown was charging $613. After speaking to the manager and calling them out they brought the price down to $553 for me, but failed to provide me a breakdown of what exactly what done to my car. I am not sure what happened to Motorwerks Barrington. They were once great and somewhat honest. Now they can t be trusted. I still feel ripped off because I don t even know what I was charged $553 for. Still waiting to find out... this type of service leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. I don t think I ll be coming back here again.

We recently purchased our new JX from Sebastian Stankiewicz at Motor Werks. We had just come from a bad experience from another dealership where we felt we had been bait and switched on the price of the vehicle, so we were on edge and extremely leery when we started working with Sebastian. However, he very quickly proved that not only was he willing to work with our internet/email approach, but he also offered us the best price, nice extras and full honesty in his deal with us. After confirming the specs and ordering our car, Sebastian kept us fully informed throughout the process. We were quite eager to get our new vehicle and Sebastian always answered our emails within an hour.
When our car arrived and we went in to complete the transaction, there were no unpleasant surprises and it was immediately clear that Sebastian wanted to ensure that we were satisfied. That effort included offering to not only go through a detailed run-through of the cars features at the time of purchase but another session after we have owned the car for a while.

The sales manager was very rude and unprofessional. He did not show a bit of professionalism, courtesy and respect. He gave me this impression that he sells many cars in a day and he did not care much if I buy one or not. The sales consultant, Jack, on the other hand was very nice and professional. I ended up buying the car on the same day but at other car dealer with much cheaper price. I will never come back to this place.
From the people answering the phones to the staff running the service area I cannot speak highly enough of Motor Werks of Barrington. I live much closer to another large BMW dealership and will always take my care to Motor Werks for service. Working with these people has been a pleasure. Moving recently placed us far from Mercedes Benz of Naperville thus allowing us to try Motor Werks Mercedes Benz Of Barrington. The size of this dealership is huge but well organized and easy to navigate depending on your business of purchasing a Mercedes Benz or having one repaired correctly. Those of you who have a Mercedes Benz know that repairs & parts are expensive. Finding a balance between both can be difficult. Service Advisor James Derosa or "Jim" as he is called was direct, professional, & handled both our Mercedes Benz's as expected! I knew of two repairs that I needed & when Jim called he told me about my two concerns although I never told him about either one of those. This automatically gave Jim trust and his team of mechanics in my mind. The first benz was completed at a great price and drives like it is new. The second Mercedes that we placed in Jim's care needed abit more work performed on it. All the repairs where completed on it but the next morning we phoned Jim explaining how the check engine light had come on a day or so since receiving it back. Jim said unexceptable and sent a tow truck out to get our Mercedes that morning. The problem turned out to be nothing they had repaired but was a new repair that needed to be performed. Jim being the professional he is called us yesterday with the great news that our tow was no cost to us and our vehicle was ready for pickup. Asked how much, Jim said,"Its taken care of, have a great Summer". If you own a Mercedes Benz then you understand by the nature of these cars that you get what you pay for! Nothing in life is free and if it's cheap then your probably better off without it but when these vehicles need service don't complain or belly ache, pay up! You bought a Benz & a Benz is the standard all other auto manufacturers use as their benchmark. When all was said and done we gave Jim approx $4,000.00 dollars & he gave us back two spotless Mercedes Benz that drive like they just came off the assembly line in Germany. These people know German cars & have the correct updated Mercedes Benz software unlike Indy garages. Jim also made sure that we had a brand new 2014 Mercedes Benz in our same model Mercedes we own as a loaner while both our cars were serviced. Stupendous & professional service is what you get when you allow Jim & Motor Werks Mercedes Benz of Barrington to make sure your Mercedes is still hitting that benchmark!

4 trips to the dealership, doing the paperwork 3 times, 7 total hours of waiting. All to lease a BMW that is almost what I wanted. I leased 2 Infinities there in the past and those deals went perfectly. Place has really gone down hill. I'd consider elsewhere for a BMW. Update 3 months later: Manager calls to sweeten old deal because of bad reviews, then never delivers! Surprise!
