This is my second car from MW and my experience was unexpectedly very good. I had my infinity lease coming to an end and got a call from Michael Perez about a possible new lease Q50. I did not want to lease anymore so I asked if MW had pre-certified BMW 335i coups. He was very helpful in locating a few options and work out my numbers. I was initially not interested in changing my vehicle, but Mike made my transition smooth and I was able to lock the deal and finish all paperwork in one morning. I am enjoying my new car immensely and Mike was very proactive in following up with me. I appreciate MW's attention to details specially because I live in Chicago and its a long haul for me to Barrington. There are quite a few options for me between the city and Barrington, but I am glad I gave my business to MW - a big reason is Mike Perez!

Sally was my salesperson and she made my purchase as smooth as can be with my GLS 450 I flew in and drove home..No suprises and the vehicle was perfect! Thanks Sally!! Tom
We just purchased a 2017 Audi Q7 from Motor Werks of Barrington and Darrin Davis was the best part of our experience! He was very kind, helpful, not pushy, understanding, knowledgable and friendly. We got a great deal that was fair to both us and the dealership. DJ is a very good salesman, see him if you want to have a pleasant experience, you will not be disapointed whatsoever! DJ is young, entergetic and will go to bat for you because he cares about his customers satisfaction! Thank you so much for the positive experience, we will definately recomend friends and family to DJ.
These guys have no regard for their customers. Literally only worried about the sale. Gave victor my credit card info for the deposit and they assured me that it would hold the car until i was able to fly in to take a look at the car. A day later Ryan calls and asks me a few questions and assures me again that the car would be held for me to come take a look at it and get it. Few days later I still hadn t seen a charge on my card and I called them and they tell me it s been sold. Flights already been booked and hotel and all. Really bad business. Would not recommend if their business tactics are this shady who knows what else they could be doing.
It is a very nice place, very cooperative and friendly staff specially Tony Kashif shared his inputs and showed various options to decide. I will highly recommended this place if anybody thinks for new or pre owned car.
If you are planning to buy a Mercedes, Motor Werks of Barington is your one-stop shop! I recently purchased a 2019 C3004MATIC from this dealer and had the most satisfying experience. Sales Manager, Mike Chiappetta was amazing in not only working out the best deal I could get on the vehicle, but making sure that the entire purchase process was smooth and easy for me. At no point during the process did he try to talk me into buying anything I didn't need or any of the extras. Mike presented me my options and respected my decisions. He did his very best to help find me the right vehicle at a competitive price. I was particularly impressed by his prompt responses to my emails and calls. Even a couple weeks after the sale was made, Mike was always available to answer any questions or concerns and ensured that I received top service when I returned to purchase some accessories for the vehicle. Now I have my sights on the GLS450 and Motor Werks of Barrington will be getting my business. Thanks to Mike and all the wonderful team at this dealership who made car buying an extremely pleasant experience.
True customer service and great dealership and luxury brands under one roof. Step in as customer get treated for life. Staff and the Starbucks complimentary is cherry on the cake. I rate them high for their great customer service.
As many reviews start - I normally don't write reviews :) I guess I wasn't regular buyer - I ordered the car of the next model year, tried my best to wait patiently, and Steve Meloney, the sales person I worked with, was always eager to answer to all my questions and updated me with production status as soon as he gets information from the plant. At the time of car pick up there were some implications appeared with my payment, because I've just moved to WI, but Steve involved his manager - Aaron Belinsky, and together we came up with temporary solution, which allowed me to drive my car at that same day. And again, Steve was able to walk another mile (actually, drive about 70 miles one direction) and brought all the remaining paperwork afterwards close to my place. So, if you are going to buy a car - I would recommend to go to Motor Werks Barrington, find Steve Meloney and he will make your purchase experience just fabulous.
They always have premier autos in stock even their used vehicles are top notch.Rudy is great and their process is painless.I may look around but always end up there.Im in the market for a vehicle now the one I wanted had an offer on it. Hopefully I will here from Rudy Monday.
Great sales staff and the frontline staff. They are knowledgeable about the cars. Great service. They have a person centered care approach.I would recommend them to anyone. The only thing I would change is the paper version of the servay because it was hard to read and it was not electronic. As a company if a sales person receives a 9 out of a 10 it does not mean that the sales person is bad. And please for the love of God make sure your paper print out of either surveys or estimated pricing out the door for a car can readable and legible.
I had been a customer of Motorwerks since 1990 when I bought my first BMW. My family was friendly with the founder and since my first BMW I had purchased many more BMWs, a Porsche and a couple of Mercedes'. I will never do business with them again. I've had some service issues in the past but nothing too major until I purchased a Mercedes S550 CPO. There were some scratches to be buffed out, rims to be reconditioned along with a few other issues. The Mercedes sales manager assured me that all would be done for me and therefore I traded in my Mercedes GLS 550 for the S550.
When I dropped the S550 off for the restoration service. It was more than a week before it was returned with more than 300 additional miles on the odometer. That and the only thing completed was changing a cracked bumper dam that would take me 10 minutes to complete with hand tools. Nobody could or even attempted to address the issues of the mileage or lack of work. I was promised all would be completed to satisfaction and the car was returned in 1/2 of one day. Nothing was done except reset the embrace system and rim rash.
Meanwhile, the finance/high pressured insurance salesman that signed the bill of sale on 4/15 for the GLS 550 had not paid off the trade-in loan until 5/29, a full month after the payoff date, causing an additional automatic payment drawn from my account. I cancelled all of the useless insurance the finance/high pressured insurance salesman insisted I had to have. Now I am in collection mode trying to get repaid the $1,185.57 for the payment on a car they received on 4/15 and the insurance premiums of $2,584.85, all of which the insurance and finance companies state were sent to Motorwerks and I should have received long before now.
So bottom line: they used my car for 300 miles of driving during one week of time, uncompensated. They have had the use of $3,770.42 of my money with no interest and I will have to pay more than $600 to have the paint corrected at a reputable detailer.
Apparently the current person at the helm doesn't have the ethics of the founder and that is now reflected in much of the staff.
None of my cars will return to Motorwerks for any service and I will not buy another car from this dealer.
Update: It is now 7/31/2019 and the matter remains. Unethical and shameful. Even the "Customer Experience Manager" makes promises that are never kept and is happy to tell you half truths and lies.
This is the second vehicle I have purchased from Motorwerks in the last three years. Even though they are 45-60 minutes away, and I have 5 stores closer to me, I go for the service I receive. From Ken Betts and Joe Spata in sales to Mike Marklund and the rest of the service department, I go nowhere else. This team goes above and beyond the call of duty. If you can t tell, I highly recommend them!
Service used to be great before. Rich Cano was fantastic, now I don't see it that way anymore. I had requested a loaner and brought my car for service. I guess the loaner system has changed as well. I'd waited for a very long time. I saw other people that came after I did and they were getting their loaners. I end up leaving with my own car and no loaner. I think the changes that Motor Werks are making are not working or maybe they are not being implemented correctly. Either way it is not a good thing. I had bought several cars from Motor Werks. Mercedes Benz, BMW and Honda. I have also referred a lot of people because I know its a good company, but Service wise things have changed. Too bad.
Took my girlfriend to lease a car with Windy after meeting her at the auto show where she stood out against the rest. Best experience buying a car in 10 years! Windy was AMAZING & WONDERFUL!!! We strolled away with a brand new 2012 Hinda Civic. I am definitely going to recommend to everyone to see Windy and will be buying my cars from her for years to come.
I am in internet sales and so when my sister who lives in Chicago wanted to by a new Honda CRV, I naturally wanted to do the shopping for her. After putting several requests- about 15 total I started the search. I decided that I was not going to shop for a car but shop for a salesmen instead and the car will be easy from that point. Out of about 15 I only received 3 responses that didn't end up being bogus or just so far off it wasn't even worth entertaining. Then came Christopher Koscielski, finally a real salesperson who not only was acceptable but exceptional. He went above and beyond to accommodate my sister and was upfront and forthright about the pricing from the very start. No surprises, and being jaded by so many other dealerships I was still suspicious because it just seemed to good to be true, but it was everything he claimed and my sister drove home tonight extremely happy with the exact CRV she wanted and the price to go with it. Well done Christopher! Not enough stars on here to rate you, keep it up and you will have so much repeat business you won't know what to do with.
Great car buying experience. Mike the sales manager and Izabella our salesperson were awesome. Very nice to deal with. No pressure. Went out and found the exact car we were looking for at our desired price. Communication and follow through every step of the way. Won t go anywhere else to purchase vehicles
Went in a couple of Saturday's ago looking for either a CPO ML 350 or brand new one. I've been contemplating replacing my Murano for the past few months as the lease was coming to an end so I had done quite a bit of research. I ended up buying a new ML 350 off the floor. I felt the deal was fair and my buying experience went very well with the help of Mike and Nick. So far I've been pretty happy with the new car.
I've been a client of MWB since 2003 and every time I go there is always a pleasant experience. Brian Couture is the guy to go to for Honda services and I couldn't be happier with my latest shopping. Mike Betts really EXCEEDED all my expectations. I'm super in love with my new car.
Note: Although my closest dealer is the Schaumburg one, I ALWAYS go to Motor Werks of Barrington. Better service, better atmosphere, better people, better everything.
Had a great experience picking up our new suv. Brian, our salesman, went above and beyond to help us make an educated decision. We first went on a Wednesday evening half hour before they closed but Brian and his manager Mike stayed late just to help us and let us test drive even after closing. We didn t purchase a car that night but went back on Saturday and this time, equipped with all the knowledge, we made our decision and are happy with our new car! Brian explained all the car features in detail so that really helped. He made the process very easy for us! And he s not a pushy salesman so you don t feel pressured to buy on your first visit!
This dealership is beautiful but the service you get is not good at all. Brought a 2014 g63 for service and none of the items i mentioned were taken care of under warranty (oil leak was told that it was normal, that is b.s. these dont leak oil when new, peeling steering wheel plastic also normal or supposedly caused by hand lotion, inreal this car was owned by a NHL player not some model that uses lotion. Do not bring your cars here they only want to do customer pay work and rip you off doing so. Take your business elsewhere.
I have a very excellent customer services from Marc D. Leibovitz & Nick Gioulos during my new Mercedes C300 & I am enjoying due to this both gentlemen had convinced me this is very good car.
My husband and i were looking for a new car for me and we went online searching. We found the car that met our needs but it was in Barrington in IL; Motorwerks. We didn't think we want to travel to IL to buy a car but i dealt with the best car sales man i have ever worked with Jack Balls. My husband wanted me to buy a different car from a different dealer but Jack's exceptional service made the decision easy for me. When my husband flew to IL to pick up the car; Jack picked him at the airport. Wow that's what i call top notch service. Thank you Jack. From a very satisfied customer from Minnesota.
They accepted my offer on a c300, I gave them my credit card info to put deposit down on it to secure the car while they ran my credit. They didn t process the deposit and 2 days later I was called and told the car was sold and offered other vehicles, I was only interested in the one I wanted so extremely frustrating experience.
Wonderful crew at Motor Werks Mercedes - positive, prompt, and very helpful throughout my whole car buying experience.
Special thanks to Mike (sales manager) and Gabriel! They stayed PAST closing hours and brought out four cars from the FAR BACK lot for us to compare. The purchase, a 19 GLC63s AMG - was a big deal for us and they treated it as such.
Sam Rider is one of the BEST, if not the BEST Porsche sales guy available...he is extremely knowledgeable and is straight to the point, no "fluff" and sales talk. Made it the easiest car purchase I have ever made. Thanks Sam and Motor Werks!
Motor Werks is BY FAR the best dealership I've ever been to. and I have a feeling it will be the best dealership I will ever be at. everyone is very friendly, they are eager to help and guide you through the car buying experience. not pushy at all. they treat everyone with great respect. we have bought an Infiniti G35 and an Infiniti FX35 there. when the time comes for a third car, we will most definitely be going back to Motor Werks. it almost seems to good to be true how well they treat us but it's just great customer service. my 2003 G35 had a rusted exhaust, needed a new window motor, and a new trunk latch. and they replaced it all for FREE. all that work I'd imagine was well over $1000 at their cost. they wanted to make sure they sold us a very good car. other than the things that needed to be fixed, the car was in excellent condition. you'll be glad you picked Motor Werks if you go.
Had a bad experience when purchasing our Mercedes GL-550 CPO this summer from Tom Posiewko at MB of Barrington. We had selected a GL that was not equipped with the factory tow package. Our salesman Tom assured us it wouldn t be a problem as he went and checked with the service/parts department and came back up told us to go to Master Hitch in Paletine as they came highly recommended and the service department s worked with them in the past. The cost he had told us was between $800-$1,000. This was priority #1 for us as we tow a Boat & snowmobiles and was trading-in a Suburban. Although we had been hesitant we took his and the service departments advice and purchased the vehicle. We contacted the hitch company about a month after the purchase to schedule the installation. We had been informed because our GL has curve illuminated headlamps a aftermarket hitch was not possible as the vehicle would need to be re-wired from the dealer and a new SAM unit computer installed so the vehicle would detect a trailer behind it. I contacted Tom & the service manager at MB of Barrington about the problem. They were sympthatetic about the problem however gave us estimates of $3,500-$4,000 to perform the work. Frustrating when you re quoted $800-1,000 and pressured to buy a vehicle when they could have simply went an extra step to punch in the vin# to the Mercedes system and find out what it really took to get a tow package installed or contacted the place they highly recommended to double check the advice they had been given us was indeed correct. I write this review as I shop to replace our vehicle with a tow package equipped model. MB of Barrington will not be getting our business this time around.
We really loved the Mercedes we test drove. Unfortunately, after having our GLC300 for a year, we cannot recommend Mercedes to anyone. We both work hard and make good money but don't make enough to afford bad decisions when it comes to big purchases. We thought we had done all the necessary research when we purchased the GLC300 last year. My wife had a Kia Sorento that was dying and after all the hard work she had put in at her job, and the ability to save up over the years for something nice, we decided it was time to get a luxury car. This was a purchase we never dreamed we would be able to make in our lifetime. The dealership fell way short of our expectations...poor communication; they spoke directly to me instead of my wife as though they could not believe that she was able to buy a car; and they never treated us like people they wanted at their dealership. Still, we had been told we could not go wrong with Mercedes and we bought the GLC300. For the past year, we have dealt with the brakes screeching almost every morning. The dealership had it multiple times to fix and the problem still exists. Now, after only one year and less than 20,000 miles we are being told we need new tires and have alignment issues. For a luxury car that we saved and wanted something wonderful to drive, it has only been a disappointment in the brand and the dealership. I cannot believe we are now looking to trade in and lose money on this so we can a functioning car.
Eric Swanson, was absolutely a pleasure to deal with I would highly recommend anyone to have their service work done at BMW motorwerks of Barrington. They WILL exceed your expectations by far.
Sales rep Carly was excellent. Very knowledgeable with all the cars. I was kind of a pain in the rear asking her to test drive one car after another and she did it with a smile. We negotiated quickly, she had the paperwork ready when I came back and it was finalized quickly. She is an excellent sales women and will definitely ask for her for my next purchase. Motor works was very easy to deal with. Great selection and great people to work with.
Bob Knurowski in Mercedes Benz service dept. has been a valued contact at Motor Werks. I have bought several cars from Motor Werks and had them serviced at the dealership. Bob has assisted me with all my Mercedes Benz service issues for years. He is knowledgeable, attentive and responsive to all my requests and repairs. Bob is a high value employee at the best Mercedes Benz dealership in the country.
Very not professional thay make it deal on the car with me which they never have on the lot I took the day off from work to close that deal I was just waste of time and money and they didn t do nothing about it very disappointed I got a very bad experience with this dealership never recommend it Thank you
We would recommend Motor Werks, and especially salesman, Brian Louis, to anyone. Our experience buying an Odyssey minivan from Brian was great. The whole process went extremely smoothly. Brian was very knowledgeable and helpful and just generally nice to work with.
Best service I have received since moving back to Illinois. Michael is what you want in a service advisor. Mercedes-Benz take note. This guy is good. I recommend him and Motorwerks.
I have only praise for our salesman Tim Cephus he made the experience there pleasant, he's the reason that my next new car will be purchased at Motor Werks. My beautiful wife loves her new car.
Overall great experience working with Sharon Lee. She was patient and helpful with selecting the right car for me. Product Specialist was also helpful in getting me setup with the app and going over all the feature on my new 3 series!
Imagine this; you found a nice car, you drove the car the other day and today you came again to buy it. You shook the hand of a salesman, set down at his desk and started to negotiate with him, everything going well, everybody has a smile on there faces, feeling the rush of buying a car, getting excited, getting closer to close the deal, speaking with finance person, checking extended warranties and then suddenly out of the blue Brian came to the desk, shook my hand, set down and said " Sorry, but used car manager just told me this vehicle was promised to another client and is not for sale to the and of the day. Thank you " No he did not,..........yes he did!! WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AFTER OVER AN HOUR OF NEGOTIATION IN WHICH BRIAN WAS CLOSELY INVOLVED AND WAS THE ONE TO APROVE ALL THE NUMBERS HE JUST TOLD ME "SORRY" AND "THANK YOU".. that is it? WHAT A HORRIFIC SITUATION, I FELT SO , SO ANGRY THAT I LETTED CHEAT ME LIKE THAT, IT FELT VERY BAD, CAN YOU IMAGINE, THEY JUST CHEATED ME OUT OF MY CAR, SO BAD!!! I didn't know what to do, I could not believe what just happened. I left the dealership and called the "big boss" form the road. I explained the situation to him and I expressed my disappointment not to mention the time wasted. I asked how they could do business like this.I was told that some times things like that happens since there is thousands of cars on the lot. He promised to look into it. Later the day I reviewed a call from another person from the dealership, who told me that this situation happens quite often because they employ hundreds of sales people and are in position of thousands of vehicle. He also said that the car was sold yesterday and they waiting on the buyer to deliver the money. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON. Car sold but no body bothered to marked as sold. I think you not supposed to put blame on employees and thousand of vehicles in your possession because you need either of them to be in business, but if you can not handled the "hundreds of employees" and "thousand of cars" maybe, just maybe you should sale bug spray not cars so at least you would save hundreds if not thousands of hours of wasted time on negotiation for cars that you supposedly have. I think this car was sold to someone else during my negotiation for a higher price.
- Respond to owner respond. 6/29/17
Your dealer ship refused to sale the car to me because someone in your dealer ship "promised" the car to an other client, so where is your equal opportunity for all clients. You had no signed agreement with the other client, jet your refused to sale to me. You just a bunch of manipulators in the worst meaning of the word, who does not care about any body or their time. Know you trying to hide behind equal opportunity, yesterday you said hundreds of employees and thousand of cars, your excuses are pathetic. My negotiation have not been even remotely similar to housing market negotiations. I checked if the car is still available with your sale person and negotiated face to face in your showroom. Way to go high class Mercedes Benz dealer ship, I wonder if the manufacturer "MERCEDES BENZ" itself condone this type of misrepresentation, lies and deceives on their behalf. On top of all you do not understand my frustration, you don't even know how it feels because I bet it never happened to YOU personally. Get a grip of reality and admit YOU BLEW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and you do not really care about clients, business ethics and honesty. People should think twice before they bring their money to your establishment I surely will not.
I was working with three BMW dealerships on my latest car purchase, Motor Werks came through with the best price and the best over all experience. Excellent communication, awesome negotiation process and a great price on my trade-in. I will be back when its time to buy another vehicle. Thank you Robert Dunfrund my sales contact, Michael Gargano his sales manager and Ryan Durso my finance contact.
I recently went to Motor Werks to have my BMW serviced. Prior to my visit I scheduled an appointment for my servicing (which was made several weeks in advance). Upon arrival, I was not greeted by anyone, and stood around waiting for 20 minutes until someone greeted me only to say "One minute -- I'm busy". Overall, I ended up waiting well over 30 minutes just to talk to someone when I had made an appointment ahead of time to drop off my vehicle. Why make appointments if they're not honored? The icing on the cake was that the 1.5-2 hour servicing took 4.5 hours because "we're so busy because we're the best" according to the service advisor. I'm sorry, but to be the best you need better customer service.
I bought a car from motor werks in March and I thought the process was fast and easy! Super happy with them. Fast forward 5 months and I get pulled over only to find out they gave me the wrong plates, of course I called them to get it fixed right away. Two months go by and I get a letter saying my plates are in so I go to pick them up only to find out they made another mistake but they promised me they would have my plates back to me by Monday. It is now November and no call, no word on my plates. Every time I try to call to find out, no answer or call back after leaving a message. Finally got my dad to call and manger promised that he would give me a call Monday which he never did so once again my dad called again.. Only to be promised that he would call today(Wednesday). Which he didn t. Let s just say once I get my plates , I will never step foot in this motor werks again... So much time wasted.
I set an appointment last week for today to get an oil change, only for them to say about 30 mins ago that they don t have the parts for my smart car! I told the rep that the appointment was set today at 8:45am, and they didn t even bother to say an apology or make an effort to get something done!! What a waste of time; the service in Orland Park is so much better!
I purchased my 2011 VW Tiguan at Motorwerks, and a salesman named Zach Sowinski assisted me. He truly made the buying process enjoyable and hassle free! I would recommend anyone to visit Motorwerks.
Brian answered all my questions and got me all the information I needed to make my decision. He made the process easy and enjoyable. Ask for him when you walk in!!!
I was looking for used car. I called to schedule appointment and was told the car was available. When I got there, car was sold day before. Though, they had similar other car for sale. Usually, I would not mind the switch. What got me was the dealer was trying to sell car with severe tire wear. I pointed out that to a saleperson that tires needs to be replaced and alignment completed. He didn't want to lower price of the vehicle or have the car serviced.
I understand there are sales tactics that car dealers want exploit with potential buyers but they should be mindful of safety of general public. Generally, dealers would slap cheap tires on vehicle and say "look car has new tires". Even though these tires perform not really well in snow/wet conditions. This dealer is oblivious to any kind of responsibility and accountability. They will push vehicle with bald tires to earn a sale. Don't they have any type of inspection? or they just don't care. I lean towards that they don't care.
Well, dealer didn't want to budge on the price to fix what I point out. So they brought another car that had 15k more miles but good tires, cheaper though. I was ok but vehicle had deep scratches through body. The sales person said, they had a guy and they can buff it out. Here's the deal, you can not buff out scratches that went thru clear coat, paint, primer to bare metal. At that point, I had enough. I thought to myself again, don't they inspect these cars.
The sales person pulled a report of the vehicles in the area and what they are selling for. He point out, these vehicles were the cheapest out of many available. He overlooked fact that these vehicles were the lowest quality and unsafe.
I left, I will never return to motor werks of barrington or any other motor werks. Business practises are just bad. Buyer beware. Avoid, avoid.
We located a couple of cars we were interested in at Motor Werks and negotiated terms and a potential trade in with Sebastian Stankiewicz prior to driving five hours to try to consummate the deal. When we arrived, Sebastian and the rest of the Motor Werks staff were highly professional. We closed the deal on one of the cars we were interested in on the terms negotiated with Sebastian prior to our arrival. No hassle and no renegotiation. The Motor Werks staff quickly took care of a few clean up items and Sebastian provided a detailed explanation of many of the features of the car before sending us on our way. Since purchasing the car, Sebastian has called a few times to check in to make sure everything was going OK. Overall, we were and remain happy and satisfied customers.
Most helpful staff I have ever dealt with, I got a new 250 CLA and I left from there really satisfied. They have great sales team, willing to do whatever it takes to provide you with excellent services; Bortollo (The product Specialist), Sheron Lee, the sales manager tried their best to help me choose the PERFECT car. Also Nicole Schomer, their Finance Manager, she went above and beyond to help me understanding all the financial cost along with so many advises. The Team was willing to work after hours for two nights in a row to help me get the perfect car! Excellent Service I would recommended anyone looking for a new vehicle to see Mercedes Barrington. I couldn't say enough about how nice they are. Everyone is very friendly and helpful!
I am glad that I returned to Motor Werks when I began looking to purchase a new vehicle. From past experience, I knew that the service department was excellent and Windy, my sales representative, during this purchase took a lot of time with me and explained in detail all the nuances between two different vehicles. After finally choosing a Civic, the Motor Werks team went to work to find the color I wanted. Everything fell into place, from the financing, with Jeff, to the delivery of the car and I got my first choice in color. Thank you for making this experience an easy and pleasant one.
I had a pleasant experience buying a 2015 Honda Civic from salesman Brian Piotrowicz. He was very helpful and knowledgeable, and made my family feel comfortable. The whole process went smoothly which is what I was hoping for. The company was not pushy at all, and it made the day less stressful for me. So far, I am happy with my purchase and am enjoying the new car. The company offers free car washes for life of the car, which I believe is a very nice touch. I would recommend salesman Brian and Motor Werks of Barrington to family and friends.
Joe Quintenz was the best to work with for purchasing my new 2014 ATS. He was very knowledgeable and informative about every phase from start to finish. Buying my car from him was like working with a good friend. I highly recommend anyone who needs a vehicle to go to motor werks and see Joe. Thank you Joe, it was a pleasure. Christine Alesi.
I was looking for a new car, and went to Motor Werks since I heard only good things about their service. Steve Clements my Sales Consultant was friendly, courteous, and was able to find my perfect car, I love it :) What I enjoy the most was that Steve was able to get me a lower interest rate than what my financial institution offer me. I would recommend this place to everyone :)
Goren was awesome to work with, I traveled 2.5 hrs just to get the 4Runner as Barrington showed it very well and there was no surprises when I arrived. I will defiantly travel there again to get the next vehicle their bld was 1 of a kind and I've seen many dealerships
Mike Chiappetta is my new car guy. I m the type of gal who hates haggling but I can do it,so when I find a straightforward no nonsense honest guy to buy cars from I stay with them for years! Mike is just that guy. As a first time Mercedes buyer, I looked at 3 other Suburban dealers and purchased from Mike. He stayed within my budget and made sure I had the features I needed. I m referring all of my friends and family to Mike.
Our sales person Isaac Herzberg of Motor Werks BMW of Barrington was great to work with. No pressure sales, but knowledgeable and willing to take the time to have us understand the differences between models and options. The entire team seems to want to help the customer. We test drove many models and visited many dealers, Isaac and Motor Werks was the best to deal with.
We had a great experience purchasing our new car. Tom, our salesperson, and Mike, the sales manager, were both very knowledgeable and helpful. We live in Madison WI and came to Motorwerks in Barrington because they had the car equipped as we wanted. Our transaction was a little complicated because we were trading-in two cars and Mike and Tom handled it all with grace and professionalism.
Very happy to have some business with Tom, Mike, and Motorwerks.
New to Chicago and in the market for a new/CPO BMW a friend recommended Irv Robinson at Motor Werks. We shopped one or two other dealers and got the typical "used car dealer" treatment. Not with Irv. He retuned my call right away, stayed late to meet us and was patient, transparent and extremely knowledgeable about BMWs. Did I mention sweet & funny? Irv showed us the X5s that were available. Patiently let us test drive 3 of them and then just listened as we talked ourselves into the best of the bunch with the lowest mileage. Even though we were the last people in the dealership Irv and his team got us financing in the blink of an eye and we drove our beautiful new/old car home the same night. Only hitch was the disc for the GPS was not working. Irv assured us that he would resolve it in 24 hours and he did. I can't recommend him highly enough. As a woman who's been talked through and over when dealing with cars Irv was a breath of fresh air. Like buying a car from a family member.
Went to look at a used 911. It took almost 20 minutes for the car to be "retrieved" from their storage lot, and when I looked it over it was obviously a car that had been driven hard, and most likely been in an accident. Not what I expected from a high-end Mercedes/Porsche dealer.
Mike Perez was our salesman and was very patient and helpful in trading in our old car and buying a certified pre-owned Mercedes at Motorwerks. He and Motorwerks were very willing to make our purchase easy and to give us a fair price for our trade-in. We have always liked Motorwerks customer service and this visit just solidified our trust and confidence in them. We have purchased luxury German vehicles in the past at other dealerships where we have been outright lied to and bothered with recurring phone calls after our visit. Motorwerks makes the process easy, friendly and hassle-free. We would definitely recommend it to any of our friends and family!
My experience with Chris Roehm and Motor Werks was smooth, pleasurable and stress free! Chris was patient, knowledgeable and very accommodating to work with.
Glad this dealership and Chris were recommended to me. I will now in turn recommend to others!
Sales staff (Chelsea) new their products and could answer all questions about the BMW 535xi. Very friendly and prompt responses to emails and voice mails. Even came to the showroom on her day off when it was the only time I could make an appointment! Online website was up to date with the car models I was looking to drive. No nonsense business approach when we closed the deal. Highly recommend purchasing your next car from this dealer!
Me and my son, went to this dealership today, and the services and the people were amazing. Very friendly staff, the salesman, the short guy, I do apologize for forgetting his name but please give him his props, 5 stars for him, 5 stars for the financial guy, C. Timoftica, thanks for helping with the smooth process of purchasing the Jaguar
I wish google would allow a zero. Bought a used vehicle in January and 5 weeks later I brought it to my local mechanic for a funny sound. To my dismay I was told that both front struts were leaking and they had been for a while. The worst part was that it would cost me $1,800.00 to replace. I sent an email to the dealer and was told that they couldn t do anything for me as their profit margin was too minimal. I wasn t looking for it all to be covered, but at least try to work with me?....But no, they only make $500 million to $1 billion a year (per Google) and told me to go pound sand. The biggest issue I have is when I traded in my vehicle they had it in their shop for 45 minutes and worked me over on every little issue that was wrong with it. Therefore, they damn well knew that this vehicle I purchased (which was traded into them 40 days prior) had the leaking struts yet they did nothing about it and put it on their lot for sale. Yes, buyer beware but there is a fine line between that and seller screws ya. I guess I learned my lesson.
Being in sales my entire life in a business owner for the last 17 years....I can sometimes be a tough customer to deal with. Today I went out to Motorwerks in Barrington all the way from Crown Point Indiana, to purchase a Lexus SUV for my wife.
It was an hour and 40-minute ride each way so I was hoping that the vehicle was as they described. Tom Posiewko was my sales consultant and consult he did! He was very professional and handled all of our questions. Even though we repeatedly tried to beat him down to the sale, he never showed an ounce of frustration. Was completely composed the entire time. On top of dealing with me, I brought my dad so he can drive my truck home. So he dealt with a tough customer and a tougher customer. Tom is very good at his job.
He handled all my objections just fine but held firm to his price. He knew his vehicle was Priced Right for a low mileage it had and so did I. In the end....he bent a little and have the car fully detailed and a tank full of gas. I walked away very happy. Tom I am sure you were happy to see us go!
My overall experience with this dealer is top notch. Even though the car I bought today was probably worth 25% of every other car that sold in there, maybe 10% of a few... Mind you this is a Mercedes dealer. They treated us exactly the same as any other customer, in my opinion. Oh yeah, they have a Starbucks in there with free coffee!
We just purchased Mercedes-Benz GLA250 from Motor Werks of Barrington, staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Vehicle was priced right, and we got a good deal. Salesman Tom Posiewko & Atanas Petrov kept is up-to-date with the process, vehicle availability and communicated promptly, And finally Sales Manager Brian Owen helped us seal the deal. Overall, we had a pleasant experience, we recommend Tom, Atanas and Brian sales team, and Motor Werks.
I want to thank John Nuzzo for all his great help! He is really knowledgeable and Kind. He helped me find a car that worked well in my budget and made sure I was very well taken care of. Thank you again John, you are the best!
I had a wonderful experience with Brian Piotrowicz when I bought my 2013 Honda CR-V. The sales process was smooth and quickly handled. Brian explained all the features of the vehicle and answered every question that I had. I highly recommend Brian and car shopping at Motor Werks of Barrington.
Nothing could have been smoother. Everyone at Motor Werks was very nice and professional and we drove out without any attempt at upselling. I would recommend Motor Werks to anyone shopping for a new car.
I've been going to Motor Werks Mercedes for all maintenance and repairs since 2016. Whether you're working with Bob, John or Sylvia the service is outstanding and hassle free.
