The rooms at the Moxy are odd and small. The industrial feel is quaint and the staff are fantastic, but for the cost I found the bed uncomfortable and the room too small. There is also a very popular roof top venue that goes until the wee hours of the morning, and you get to hear the whole set of the live band in your room. It was hard to sleep. Ooops I forgot the elevator is a pain in the butt with its inability for the user to manually control it, and it makes receiving visitors a drag.

This is the only hotel I go to in NYC. Hey, it's a lifestyle, it's not for everyone. This hotel has an amazing flare. It is as if college meets business life. I have stayed here for work on multiple occasions and there is always something going on. I was there for the grand opening night. Dude! It was insane. Another time I showed up and on the 2nd floor just outside of Bar Moxy was Flo Rida being interviewed. Crazy right? Just just don't know what is going to happen at this place. The rooms are super clean. They are small, but enough room for me to get work done if I don't want to hang out on the 2nd floor. I love that it is close to Penn Station so I can get around town really well from here as well as a quick ride to JKF in and out of town. I have not tried any of the restaurants on site yet. The fitness center is legit. Not just a single bike or elliptical. As Marriott platinum member I can say the only disappointing thing is no comped breakfast or elite lounge. Everything else is great. I would Highly recommend staying here if you are in town.

I like the hip vibe and decor. Had a few issues that the friendly manager was able to resolve. The rooms are small so 2 people will be bumping into each other. Had 2 packages arrive but staff never informed us of the delivery. Gym is decent and I like the filtered water to refill your bottles. The ice cream vending machine was offline all week If you need extra things for your room you have access to the Stash and take for yourself. I grabbed the fridge for the room. Next door is Egghead for incredible breakfast egg sandwiches.

Solid location, close to Penn Station and Times Sq. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Nothing wrong with hotel experience, I'm just old school and didn't find the room layout appealing - geared more toward the hipster vibe, so if you're into that, you'll love it!

Stay New Year's Eve / New Years Week 2018.

Stay New Year's Eve / New Years Week 2018.
The location is perfect. The rooms at first glance correspond to the pictures.
Unfortunately this hotel has no isolation. When the temperature was below zero, a change of room was necessary after the first night.
My scarf, which I installed by the window in the hope of a little less cold wind on my face, froze up overnight. A change of room brought no improvement. Seems to be a general problem. Cold guaranteed.
Food and snacks in the lounge are tasty and good-sized.
Within eight days there were three (!) Fire rallies during the night - deafening - without fire.
In addition, the air conditioning is so incredibly loud that you have the feeling of sleeping next to a jet jet. If you leave your own switched off, the neighbors will be disturbed.
Room cleaning only takes place from the 7th! Day instead. When asked why our rubbish bin had not been emptied for days, they were referred to staff shortages. I was also shown the broom closet, in which I could get fresh towels.
In summary:
A superficially good looking campsite. Very cold and loud.
However, the location is perfect and the food is good. Pack sweater.
Would never stay there again.

The cleaning staff stole about $ 350 and some sunglasses from my room. It's something that can happen in a hotel, the problem is that they made me dizzy for four days until I left, they told me that they would tell me something. It's been a week and they haven't told me anything, the only thing before I left was angry they told me that they checked the magnetic locks on the doors and I left the door open, something impossible since the doors close by themselves and it has a lot of force. All this with the BOSS who without saying anything went off half explanation.
My recommendation the hotel is fine but I would not go again. My holidays screwed up not only because of what they took from me but because you couldn't leave anything behind and I couldn't go away in peace and worst of all, the bad treatment they gave me, flee from here!
Pd: I am the guest of the 607, I say it in case someone from the hotel sees it if they send me an email as promised.
Greetings.
Two months have passed I am still waiting for an answer !!

Moxy had great service at their Pop Up Fashion Fun House. It was a small pop up but it was a nice installation to have for the guests at the hotel. I enjoyed their drinks and our server was very friendly and accommodating. She watched our bags while we went into the pop up.

The room is Tiny but nice . My husband stayed there for one night since he has a flight out of JFK and was in the city. He asked the front desk for a wake up call and was told it's not guaranteed and they did not make the call. I had to make that wake up call. Never have I ever!

I do not care for this hotel. They seem to put having a hip, cool image ahead of making guests comfortable. If you are looking for a room to stumble back to at 4 AM, wasted out of your mind, this is the place for you. However if you're looking for a good night's sleep and basic amenities, Do Not Stay Here.

The rooms are bare bones, and small, which is fine and to be expected. The beds are comfortable enough. But the rooms are missing some things I've come to expect. There is no coffee, no ice buckets or ice, no fridge, no hand lotion, nor extra pillows and blankets. When you check in, they tell you that you can get some of these things from a closet in the hallway on your floor. However, each time I've gone to "the stash" as they call it, it had been picked clean. Also, the fact that I have to get dressed and leave my room to get coffee is kind of unforgivable. Its 2018, I mean... come on.

My personal experience at this hotel has been awful. it is impossible for me to get a good night's sleep here. The first room I was put in was directly above the bar. It came with earplugs. This, I should have known, was a bad sign. The bass booming through my floor until 4am made it IMPOSSIBLE to sleep. On my third night, I asked to be moved. They didn't have anything in the 'quiet' areas of the hotel, so I was moved to the 17th floor... which is directly under their rooftop bar. It's quieter here, but still so much bass booming all night long. I have earplugs in and it's still absurdly loud

I've stayed in half a dozen other times square hotels. I'm not bothered by street noise or people in the hallways or any other normal sort of hotel noise. This, however, is unbearable. I really regret picking this hotel.

I want to note that the staff has been nothing but excellent. They did their best to accommodate me, but this hotel is just not my scene and it's not for anyone who expects to sleep at night.

This is not a good hotel. It is much more like a college party house. It's designed for the party to go all night and then for people to stumble off to their rooms to pass out. This is not for me. It has been impossible for me to sleep here and I would NEVER stay here again.

It is within walking distance of Times Square, and the location is very good. The security of the hotel was also perfect, the interior was very cute, and the design looked stylish. Also, the shower room and toilet were spacious and clean, it was very easy to spend.

Thank you for using larger shampoo/conditioner bottles in the showers instead of the single-use ones. The little ones are a major cause of ocean plastic pollution in the world. Thanks for taking care of us and the Earth!

I would look for a different hotel. I stay at the Moxy about every two weeks for work. I had issues with something on my bill and contacted Marriott. They contacted the Moxy and said they would get back to me. 2 weeks went by with no contact from Moxy. I called Marriott back again and they stated they called the manager and would get back to me. They stated they had my contact information. It has now been over 2 weeks since that last call and I have gotten nothing from Moxy. I will be changing my routine and finding a different hotel to stay at along with communicating this to my colleagues who travel as frequently to NYC. So disappointed!!!

Won't be for everyone but if you're looking for an efficient and affordable hotel near Times Square this is perfect. The property has several restaurants and bars which is convenient. The rooms are small but well laid out, similar to a cruise ship cabin. Overall very affordable with a fun atmosphere.

Cool lounge with some comfortable tables and TVs. Definitely a laid back/chill vibe. Caught the first half of a world cup game here, but music was on rather than the game sound. So not the best place for watching sports if that's what you're looking for.

Super fun vibes at this hotel and the staff was great! Only downside was housekeeping. They were very slow and never even made it to my room on days requested when I was gone from 8-5, around 5 you d hear them start going around and they d just pound on your door even with the do not disturb signs out.

Other than the housekeeping staff, this hotel was great and the checkin / out process was so smooth!

Super good hotel! The rooms are nice and well maintained and certainly clean! Decorated young and hip. Breakfast is idd the same every day and not much choice. However, it is nice and you have at least what is inside before you set off again. Hotel is also in a very good location. All major metro stations are within walking distance and also major sights are within walking distance such as Empire State building and Time Square !. Hotel is definitely recommended and would go there again.

Not really the best hotel. The rooms a quickly cleaned, and there is always something missing. Rooms are small, not closet, no coffee or tea in the rooms, if you have another choice of hotel at the same price then take the other one. The only good thing here is the location.

Pro:

Pro:
- Central location, a few minutes walk to the subway station (34St Penn Station 1-2-3-LIRR).
Functional room (even if a little small).
Smart TV with the possibility of connecting to your Netflix account.
Presence of hairdryer and small iron.
Interesting design furniture.
Absence of carpet.
Wifi working perfectly.

Versus:
- Dark in the common parts.
- Confusion in the hall due to the presence (without reason) of loud music.

I confirm the absence of a refrigerator in the room, no closet (which I usually don't use) and the fact that the bed was wedged between three walls.

Great and very clean hotel.
Only complaint is the elevators. Getting your key card out every single time to use the elevator is not a solution to a problem nobody even asked for in the first place.

Just remove the panel... The floor buttons are under there. Simple.

Please avoid this place at all costs. The club on top of the hotel will shake your room until 3 am. No warning was given at booking. Do not plan on sleeping. The AC also broke and was reset 3 times each day and no solution was provided. Between the booming music and sweltering heat in the room, we slept about an hour out of a planned 8. Vacation ruining level of awful. The staff was incredibly rude and all had nasty attitudes like I have never dealt with in customer service. I m 27, so I am what this type of place is marketed towards but millenials still care about customer service and this place was attrotiously awful I m this department. I am here with a conference and will lobby with all my will to ensure we do not renew our contract with this hotel

NOT RECOMMENDED My wife stayed for1 week had a number of issues, getting room cleaned, getting towels after numerous requests. NOT A MARRIOTT. We have been Platinum for years.

WORSE INSULT bartender told my wife that old people like her should not stay in the hotel.

BAD MANAGER Upon checkout my wife asked for manager told her about the issues the manager will return the 40,000 points used for 1 night, that never happened after 5 calls and voice mails to manager. reservation 83932105

This hotel was nice, clean, and trendy. The staff was very polite and accommodating. However, the rooms were just entirely too small. I believe I was told that the rooms were around 100 sq ft. If you're accustomed to staying in tiny rooms, then you won't have a problem with this. However, this was my first experience and I thought I was going to lose my mind. It was entirely too small for me to feel comfortable in. Thank goodness I hadn't brought a large suitcase with me or another person. Besides the room being very small, the hotel overall was nice. But i would suggest staying at the Moxy hotel downtown or in Chelsea. They have regular sized rooms.

Bad experience from the beginning, hire it. With the company Arrive in New York. and I went to the hotel in admission present documentation and when I wanted to pay in cash. They did not accept me. The manager came and I also rejected him. I paid for one night. May 26, 2019. And the next day. My daughter's contract. This excellent Roosevelt hotel. THE ROXY NEC TIMES SQUART. I do not recommend it if you do not receive cash.

I'm not suggesting that this is a 5 star hotel. The Moxy doesn't attempt to compete in that category. However this is one of the best Moxys I've stayed in. Great service, accommodating, helpful, and the Legasea restaurant is great. The bar is nice too.

room 1643. No sealed windows, noisy. Our view is a window full of pigeons poop. No room service, ice cream machine not functioning, no roof top available, it does not belong to the hotel , no bar or restaurant even though NYC is open now. Very dirty carpet in corridors. Trush outside de rooms.
Bathroom door does not close due to the design of the sliding door, no privacy at all!! Our A/C was not working, they came to fix it right away, thanks Jason!
Excellent and very convenient location, close to everything. Comfy mezzanine lounge, delicious smell un lobby, secure for entrance, very comfortable matress and soft sheets, all white, cool room design, excellent samsung tv, amazing water pressure in shower. In general is more positive than negative. Also price is one of the most affordable in this location. I chose it for the vibe and the roof top but this is misleading info.

What a great hotel.

What a great hotel.

Stayed only one night (April 5-6) but would have loved to have stayed longer and will definitely stay again.
LOCATION: The best thing to me was the location. As a New Yorker, the idea of staying at a hotel right in the Times Square area (I'm talking the area between 42nd and 52nd) is insane. The Moxy is close enough to Times Square but far enough that you're not affected by the crowds and the noise.
ROOM: The trend these days is for small-ish but well appointed rooms and the Moxy was spot on. It was big enough for me. I liked the big shower. If I had been staying with another person, the layout might have been problematic. The bed is pushed pretty much against the far window wall and the toilet is in the same space as the shower but since I was alone, there was no problem. The sink is out in the room which was kind of odd but was Ok because it worked with the overall design of the room. The lack of carpeting was fine with me but I think some guests might not like that. The shades in the room were brilliant. They completely blotted out the daylight so I could sleep in a bit. The bed was very comfortable (and I'm picky). The pillows were not good at all BUT this seems to be the way it is at every place I stay. Hotel pillows are always way too soft. The room had this nifty folding table and chair. I liked it so much that I tried to find out who the manufacturer was. The room was immaculately clean.
OTHER: I didn't get to check out the bar and restaurant scene but it seemed nice. They did have an option to order breakfast from this place on 7th called Egghead but I didn't notice the menu until too late in the morning. They did have a small area where you could "grab and go" but the options were not that great. Wish they had more stuff.

I would definitely recommend the Moxy for a single or a couple. Families might find the accommodations lacking. Location and price are great.
