I stayed over night at the Moxy. I will say I was taken back at first how small the room was when I entered, but, fell in love with the concept and layout of the room. Very small but i did not need a huge room. The room had portable chairs and table if needed. The room was very clean. All the staff encountered from checking In, during the stay, to checking out were very friendly, vibrant and treated you like a person. Check out the bar on the second floor as well. I recommend this nice cozy hotel. I definitely will stay here again !

Was same price as Residence Inn. Was positioned as a hip place and hence tried. Great location. No irons in the rooms, tiny rooms, minimal amenities. Not for me. Will stick to the regular brands.

Love this place from check in with Ro, to dinner at legasea with a great server Alexandria. Check out the roof top bar after work for a bit or the bar on the second floor. Can't wait for the one in DC to open!

Nice hotel. Minimalist, but modern. I was in NYC by myself for a quick overnight business trip - this was a great spot. If there had been two of us, staying for longer, with more luggage etc, i may have prefered a bigger room at a different hotle.

The design and concept is great however the stuff is not friendly. They do not accept cash and this might cause you to hold all your credit card limits for this hotel since they first hold some amount for 10-15 days then they charge different amount on cc. Those two will be blocked for a while. This means you might need an extra credit card just for this hotel. Rooms are really small but this applies for many hotel rooms in Nyc. If you need a good hairdrier, bring yours because the one that they provide is the worst. Housekeeping does not keep the room always full clean. You need to remind them to change your sheets. The rooftop is great but you need to get there early as 8.30 pm.

My all-good experience staying at Moxy has been ruined forever, because of the harsh behavior by staff at the rooftop bar at Moxy. He manhandled me, grabbed me hard by my wrist and literally threw me out, although I was not bothering anyone. I was with my friends just having fun. People around us also got shocked, and few guys were so furious that they started yelling at the staff that this is not the way to behave with any person. I am extremely horrified and disappointed by their behavior and by the service of the hotel Bar. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, where a girl is not respected. There are hundreds of bars better than this one, try out those, but not this one.

I had a really great time at the Moxy. It s the closest thing to a resort I ve ever seen in the city. You don t just have to stay in your room there s so many different places you can hang out while on the property, from the rooftop bar, to the comfortable lounge area. There was also a really cool game night where we were able to meet people and bond over housewives.

Comfortable bed and nice staff, but horrible place to stay if you actually plan to sleep. Very loud music until after 11pm then it starts up again at 7 am. I mean loud music, why do you need loud music at 7am makes no sense. They dont want you to be able to sleep.

Clean and the design on the inside is pretty different and interesting. Although there are many things that will make me never return here. Stayed on the 4th floor and all the way till 4am you can hear the extremely loud music from the rooftop bar(14 stories up) The bar is nice, went on a Saturday and tried to go again Sunday night and then there was a $25 cover charge?? Drinks are OUTRAGEIOUSLY priced and are pretty dissaponting. The hotel room is very small and uncomfortable, I stayed eith coworkers and the "wall" between the main sleeping area and the bathroom was glass you could pretty much see EVERYTHING. The ac unit was so loud it woke me up every time it kicked on and sounded like it was about to fall apart. very disappointed.

The Moxy Times Square.

The Moxy Times Square.

During my February vacation I decided to take this hotel as my place of residence during my stay, a double room as they say on their site at the rate of 1034 including tax (with reduction) for 7 days or 1 week

The hotel is perfectly located with Times Square to its left and Madison Square Garden, Empire Stadium Building and Broadway to its right.
Very early in the morning, the hotel offers self-service tea, coffee and chocolate at the reception, so don't hesitate!

The rooms are rather well insulated and the weather is good, if that does not suit you you have an air conditioning in the room (air conditioning), beware of the mention with a view because the only view you will have at least for me was the other people's rooms!

The bathroom is very good with a spacious shower despite the fact that the water is rather hot and difficult to lower the temperature, towels are available as well as shampoo, shower gel and body cream

In our room we also had a small sink with hairdryer and steam reader as well as cups and a magnifying mirror

The bed is of good quality but the pillows are way too small and soft

Do not forget to close your window which overlooks the bedrooms because I saw a naked person ...

High-quality Samsung television which has Netflix, YouTube and all the major American channels (be careful with American netflix! No exclusivity as in France)

Small flat for this room the storage the only storage is under the bed with 3 holes and a safe

The hotel is secure because to go upstairs you will need an access key!

The hotel also offers several services as well as events such as:
-A famous tattoo artist (800k on Instagram)
-A bar
-A rooftop
-24 hour fitness service

A word of advice: don't forget to take your suitable charger! And a bottle of water because in the rooms we offer it for $ 5 a bottle, do not hesitate to come before 4 p.m. (logically arrival time) because for me at 1 p.m. it was already ready!

In summary very good hotel despite its size :)
I recommend

Ps: (sorry for the spelling mistakes)

Fresh and good location but not much more. The rooftop bar was nothing to brag about, expensive drinks in plastic glasses and sour staff. The hotel did not clean the rooms every day if one did not ask for it, something they did NOT inform at check-in. When we asked for more toilet paper I was asked twice before they wanted to help us. The room is small which one would expect but the bathroom disproportionately large in comparison to the room. Nor did I go to close the doors completely to the bathroom so you can't be shy. Would not choose this hotel again.

New and well appointed hotel with a few inconveniences. Pitched as a millennial hotel because of reduced amenities, I found being a millennial myself that I couldn't do without them.

Biggest issue is room size, if you enjoy cozy and Japanese style hotels you'll love these rooms, while super cozy there's no room for more than one person, especially with luggage.

If you're a couple, you'll need to wake your other half up as you climb over them in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, one end of the room is just big enough to squeeze a bed in.

There's no closet, only a row of hooks to hang everything up and 4 coat hangers, one of which you cannot remove from the wall and 4 hangers which cover the TV.

There's no space to lay out a suitcase, the only option is to get the bed dirty with your well traveled luggage, you may be able to manage if you travel lightly or are on your own.

There's no ironing board, only a Joy steamer, not sure if irons are available, if they are you will struggle to set one up with the space limitations.

If you're not a fan of sleeping in front of an AC unit you're out of luck, it's at face level to the side of the bed.

The elevators have a learning curve and some instruction upon check-in would have been nice.

Website pictures that have any space to move around the bed are apparently ADA rooms even though you'd get your legs stuck, let alone a wheelchair.

Hmmm.....Staff is really friendly and helpful but follow through is lacking. I ordered a kettle for tea called 3 times on two different days and kettle never dilivered. The sink drained VERY slowly (I was worried about it overflowing) and my smoke detector was hanging off the wall. I also needed something printed sent the dcoument as instructed and recieved an email that it would be delivered monmentarily and it never showed up. Vibe is fun but service follow through is lacking.

Beautifully designed hotel, excellent location and good customer service. My rating is mainly based on the music from the bar and the two alarms that went off (yes these are rare and isolated incidents, but it impacted the quality of my stay and put a damper on my overall experience).

The music from the rooftop bar is loud as hell and goes past 2am. Yes, they give you ear plugs in your room to help ease the noise, but sleeping with earplugs is ridiculous. I wish I knew upfront how loud it was going to be because I would have chosen another Marriott hotel.

Also only giving 3 stars because someone from the crew (staff) knocked on my door and called my room twice after midnight asking if I requested towels (I did not). I appreciate their persistence, but I was sleepy and wanted to be left alone.

Oh, and the fire alarm going off the twice at 4:30am and my room safe malfunctioning and having to call maintenance was also a treat.

That said, I'd stay here again if I was here to party or was here for leisure, but this is not the ideal hotel for a work trip and/or folks with small children.

Great interior design, very comfortable bed and very helpful doorman at main entry. Staff at the reception was efficient but not very charming - security guy of rooftop elevator was arrogant and unfriendly. Service desk (phone) was very helpful, service oriented and friendly. Elevators are hardly able to manage the load during peak times what can result in longer waits. Our room in the 16th floor (1632) was quite noisy due, mainly because the windows are not soundproof at all. Music from the rooftop bar was noticeable but not really disturbing. Location is perfect for exploring the city!

What a LOVELY hotel! My wife and I absolutely loved staying here. The staff is SUPER cool and all had this really cool attitude (they even let us play basketball [you know the little nets you had in college behind the door, they have those on the beams in the lobby] while we checked in!)

The rooms are really well thought out. They are not your average hotel rooms as the space is a bit confined but I have to admit, at first i didn't know how i felt about the small rooms but once we stepped in through the door, the GENIUS way in which the rooms are set up just made me fall in love! If you are a couple it is PERFECT! nice and cozy in tight quarters.

The plus side to the minus room sizes are the fact that they are SUPER clean, modern, trendy and the shower IS TO DIE FOR! my God i wanted to take that shower home! lol

Thank you to the staff at the Moxy, i can GUARANTEE you my wife and i will return!

BONUS: We met Hip Hop Icon Jah Rule in the lobby of the Moxy on the way to the rooftop bar on Saturday night! AMAZING! <3

good location, a few hundred meters from timesquare. A bit noisy at times at night not soundproof enough given the location. Comfortable bed, nice smart tv to relax in the evening after a big day. Relatively small but sufficient room. Italian shower on top. Charming design. Breakfast too expensive for what it is, rudimentary choice and not very tasty I recommend it. Friendly staff no more.
Good overall especially considering the location.

If your a Marriott rewards or customer stay away from this hotel. The room looks like an oversized closet with no closet. Clogged sink where the hotel was informed and did nothing. No hot water in the shower and dripped all night because of a faulty knob. No late check outs even if your a rewards member. The only hotel we ve stayed at around the world the gives you earplugs because of the noise coming from the rooftop club. No security at guest elevators, which allows anyone access to floors. There s more but I think this is enough.
Pretty sure no Marriott executives would stay in this hotel if they traveled to New York, they would be embarrassed.

Loved how the rooms were set, small but just what you need to sleep, shower, and get ready to go into the city. I had a room with four bunks instead of queen beds and I liked the layout. Meal vouchers were also provided and they had a closet called "the stash" with razors and extra supplies. Great simple idea to make people happy, nice service!

Small, basic rooms. Neat and clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic bar room. The only flaw is that the rooms are poorly soundproofed and above all the air conditioning makes a loud noise ... luckily the hotel supplies ear plugs

I came here for the first time to check out the Magic Hour rooftop bar and it was absolutely incredible. The drinks were perfection and the food was amazing! Our server Elyse was extremely kind and friendly. She constantly made sure we were doing well. A must stop in midtown!

I put a star because we can not put 0. 1 star limit for the location of the hotel. We had to stay 7 nights the first time our room was not ready we were given a smaller one the next day it was not ready either. We had another room and negotiated a discount and a free breakfast as compensation. We thought we were at the end of our sentences but no. No fridge in the room and more ... after 3 days I see that a well-sealed envelope at the bottom of my suitcase with 200 dollars in has been completely emptied. I complained to the management who supposedly conducted an investigation to tell me 'that the housekeeper has denied having searched my stuff ... crooks. I'm happy to be part of here! My money has been stolen in my room!

My expectations of this hotel were really low but decided to give it a try. What a pleasant surprise this has been. Although the rooms are small, they are so well designed that they actually feel larger than most hotels in NYC. My husband and I stayed at much more expensive hotels in the city and this one is one of my favorites.
The free breakfast was delicious!

It s just ok. Ambiance was very good and I loved the sexy animal statues and mini golf as well as the roof top view. Drink are averaging at $15 each not a spot for the penny pinchers lol. Best for birthday events or something like that. It smelled very fishy there which I did not like but idk.
